New Year's Eve reception

- at Amalienborg and Christiansborg

03 January 2024

It is also a tradition for the Queen to host three separately New Year's Eve receptions. The first two takes place on January 3rd. One for Supreme Court judges, the Royal Life Guards and the Officer Corps of the Guard Hussar Regiment at Christian VII's Palace at Amalienborg and the second one is for diplomatic corps at Christiansborg.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary participated both receptions.

Tomorrow, Queen Margrethe will host her very last New Year's Eve reception as ruling Queen of Denmark. Next year, King Frederik will host the reception along with his wife - Queen Mary.

Mary wore a beloved bespoke Henrik Hviid evening gown. She has been wearing this exact gown for quite a few years now for this special event. Maybe she embraced her mother-in-laws dress code - wear the same gown as last year. Queen Margrethe has often been seen wearing the same outfit year after year for these New Year's Eve receptions. It is a very simple dress, but the details are exquisite!

A closer look revealed that she has chosen diamond earrings purchased at a Bruun Rasmussen auction. Adore the flower-shape. So elegant and romantic. The ruby brooch is perfect with the navy blue gown and sam-color nail polish.

We also get a glimpse of her Halberstadt necklace and a golden bracelet. It could be Cartier. Her ring is also very exciting. She wore it first for some years ago, but I was never able to identify it or find out where it is from. It's still a mystery.

As other accessories, Mary wore her reused Quidam clutch and suede blue Pura Lopez pumps. Also take a look at those stunning hair combs. One of them has been identified as Ellen Hunter.

The Children's Day 2020

20th November

Two live streamed events with only a couple of days in between. That is new. First, the Crown Princess participated in a live stream on occasion of the Youth Public Meeting on Wednesday, here, and then two days later yet another one with UNICEF. A great way to great your message out without too many people gathered at one place.

The live stream took place in Tivoli on occasion of The Children's Day 2020. Organized by UNICEF. When arriving to Tivoli, she was welcomed by her "debate group" (Vilma, Esther and Thea) and Sofie Østergaard - a UNICEF ambassador. The five of them seems to get along right away and that is important when to discuss a private matter such as well-being.

Vilma, Esther and Thea answered questions about, among other things, what it is to be a child and young person in Denmark. Also questions like children's well-being under the corona and about children's rights in a global perspective were discussed. Serious questions that can be answered in many ways. Points to the three girls, who did a great job.

She also asked the young girls for some help. Crown Princess Mary had been asked to pick a song for a popular Danish program called "Fællessang - hver for sig". A program organized by conductor Phillip Faber. Vilma, Esther and Thea helped her pick the song "I Danmark er jeg født" with text by Hans Christian Andersen.

If this look is not inspiring, then I do not know what is. I especially love her outwear. When arriving to Tivoli, Mary was wearing her old navy blue Fonnesbech coat. A stunning piece. Even the length is inspiring. So is the color. She matched it with a reused watercolor printed scarf from Paul Smith. We first saw this scarf 9 years ago in 2011. She has worn it at a couple of public event, but mostly it is worn at more private events. Like when the family visited LegoLand during their holliday at Gråsten, here. I really like this combo.

The interview revealed what she was wearing underneath that smashing coat: a simple white button-down blouse and black wide-legged trousers. An amazing look. I always loved these wide-legged trousers of hers and the Etro belt. She wears them so beautifully. Wish I had the hight and figure to wear such trousers. I don't.

She embraced the style with golden jewellery. I see hoops from Dulong Fine Jewelry; a couple of magnificent necklaces from Orit Elhanati (one of them is rather new) and a course her diamond band from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Nothing new about these pieces of jewellery, but she wears them like it was the first time - every time. I am sure you also noticed her pointed ankle boots from Pura Lopez. They go back to 2013. A lovely pair of fall accessory. Mary also accessorized her outfit with her blue leather tote from Prada. Once again, her grace overwhelmed me.

Visiting UNESCO ASP School & a youth public meeting

18th November

For many years, the Crown Princess has been committed to do what she can to make the world a better place. A job like that takes might be overwhelming to some and probably also the Danish Crown Princess, but that thought seems to light up her spirit even more.

On Wednesday, Crown Princess Mary payed a visit to one of UNESCO's ASP schools: Roskilde Gymnasium. These school are being part of the global UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network. It gathers around 11,500 schools and institutions of education in more than 182 countries around the world. This impressive project is all about developing a teaching that supports the UN's world goals - something the Crown Princess has been truly committed to help fulfill.

She was warmly welcomed with both smiles and flowers, when she arrived to Roskilde Gymnasium. The students were in the middle of several different workshops. They gladly shared their thoughts and experiences with her. Especially, the UN's future role in achieving the world goals was in everybody's interest. The Crown Princess listened with great interested and participated the debate as well.

In the afternoon, she participated in a meeting with the Youth Public Meeting at ALICE cph in Copenhagen. Due to the worldspreding pandemic things have been a bit different for quite some time. It has also forced us to think alternative solutions and be creative on how we meet. Therefor the meeting was a live stream.

The Youth Public Meeting is a democracy festival. It aim to create both create desire and courage among young people to be part of the democracy debate. Crown Princess Mary showed her suppose with, among others, a speech. It was broadcasted live to all youth educations in Denmark. I guess it was inspiring watching the Crown Princess speak from your classroom.

Think we saw a casual and really well-dressed Crown Princess. Not much changed from one event to the other. Actually, she only added her old beloved Bottega Veneta handbag to complete the outfit, when participating the live stream at ALICE cph. Lately, we have seen so many incredible looks. She especially impressed me with her outfit at the presentation of the Magasin du Nord Fashion Prize, here, and when she attended the 20th anniversary conference with Children, Youth & Grief, here. The colors were absolutely magnificent.

When visiting Roskilde Gymnasium and later on attending the Youth Public Meeting, Mary had chosen a more simple outfit, but only when it comes to colors. She matched a reused Shrimps blouse with a pair of stunning Céline trousers and her black Prada coat. Simple, but it works! What is great about these more casual looks, is the chance to spice it up with eye-catching accessories. First I noticed the black belt. We have seen it before, but I still do not know where it is from - and it bothers me.

A closer look revealed that she was also wearing smashing pieces of jewellery. The diamond earrings are from Sophie Bille Brahe. I see three different bracelets: one from Cartier and two golden ones from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Classy creations that seems to be favorites of hers at the moment. With some detective work, I finally found a picture that show her ring. It is her beautiful Dulong Fine Jewelry ring with the green stone and diamonds. Rather new.

Something that is not new, is the black ankle boots. I assumed they were new, but I was wrong. They are old Pura Lopez boots. We have only seen her were these beauties once in public and that was when she was on her way to a private event. It was in 2013, when attending a private hunting dinner at Amalienborg. Unfortunately, I was only able to find one picture from the event and it does not show her shoes, but still you get a glimpse of how she style them boots once, here.

A Women Deliver event

07 May

Crown Princess Mary arrived to Eigtved Pakhus in Copenhagen to attend a Danish-Canadian event on occasion of the Women Deliver Conference 2019. She was in a splendid mood at the arrival. One big smile. With handshakes and warm words the Crown Princess was welcomed.

Women Deliver is an international conference with focus on girls and women's rights and health. Crown Princess Mary has been patron for Women Deliver for four years now. She even hosted the conference when it took place in Copenhagen a few years back.

At the Danish-Canadian event in Copenhagen the Crown Princess quickly entered the stage in front of all the others attendances and gave a serious, but also funny speech. Among others she announced that the Women Deliver Conference 2019 is about to take place in Vancouver, Canada about a month from now. I am excited to follow and cover the conference with all of you.

Kongehuset ● Frederik et MaryPPE AgencyBilled Bladet

At the kinda preparing event for the Women Deliver Conference 2019, Mary showed up wearing a reused figure-hugging blue dress. Think it is the fourth time we see her in this stunning dress, but I have never been able to identify where it's from. Do you have an idea where to find her lovely dress? She looks so gorgeous. I can't get enough of this dress. Since the first time she wore it, I wanted to find it. It hasn't happened yet.

Mary accessorized her look by wearing an old neutral handbag from Prada. She has the same model in blue and red - if I'm correct. The handbag perfectly matched that nude patent leather pointed pumps from Pura Lopez, only worn on one previous occasion in 2017, here. Looks beautiful on her foot.

Mary also embraced the style with multiple stunning pieces of jewellery. A black pearl bracelet and a golden one from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a matching ring from the same designer. Cartier is the creator of her third one. It also looks like she is wearing a pair of diamond earrings and her Nadia Shelbaya necklace.

The launch of "Green Challenge"

18 March

Crown Princess is back home from Texas. Meanwhile her husband is in Argentina along with his mother, Crown Princess Mary arrived to University of Copenhagen to attend the launch of Green Challenge.

Green Challenge is a research competition which aims to solve some of the climate- and environmental challenges the world is facing. Researchers will collaborate with companies and organizations to compete to develop the three best solutions that benefit both the environment and climate. The competition runs until 2023. The best solution will be rewarded with 9 million Danish kroner to realize the research solution technologically and commercially.

During her visit at University of Copenhagen, she was accompanied by Danish Minster of Education and Research, Tommy Ahlers. Both of them showed great interested in what they were told and shown. As always Crown Princess Mary was in a brilliant mood - sincere, committed and curious.

KongehusetRoyals & StyleDaily MailBilled BladetFrederik et Mary

One of my favourite dresses. A grey tweed dress from Prada. It features the most incredible and fashionable details. I really love it with its collar and black belt. About now Mary has worn it on four different occasions. The first time was in 2015 at the Global Network of Women's Shelters' Conference, here. Second time was at Women's Board Award in 2016, here. The following year she wore it again presenting WHO Award, here. Again in 2018 Mary showed up in her tweed Prada dress in Strasbourg, here.

She embraced the style by wearing stunning diamond earrings. They were sold on a Bruun Rasmussen Auction a couple of years ago. Beautiful earrings shaped as flowers. One bracelet is from Dulong Fine Jewelry and another one is from Cartier. For some time I had Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen in mind for the third diamond bangle. Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen is also the designer of her two diamond rings. Simple, yet elegant.

As other accessories she wore an old Prada clutch and chic Pura Lopez pumps. I wouldn't mind wearing these pumps myself with a pair of fitted jeans and a silk-crepe blouse. How would you style such a pair of pumps?

Day 2. Business and cultural promotion in Texas

12  March

During the day

For three days, the Crown Princess is on a business and cultural visit in Austin and Houston, Texas, USA. About now she has attended both an event to promote women leaders, payed a visit to 'Danish Gastronomy - A Michelin experience' and met with Texas' Governor, here.

On Tuesday, March 11, Crown Princess Mary had traveled to Houston. She was warmly welcomed with a meeting with Houstons Mayor, Sylvester Turner at Houston City Hall. What a friendly and smiling man Sylvester Turner. I am sure he was more than proud to welcome the Crown Princess to his city and tell her all about how wonderful it is. As part of the welcoming ceremony she also attended the launch of a collaboration between Houston and Denmark focusing on urban development and climate adaptation. It is all about sharing visions, ideas and technology to be able to withstand climate changes. And really, Crown Princess Mary was in a great spirit. She was all smiles and happy eyes.

Meeting Houstons Mayor at the arrival to Houston Mary had chosen to wear one of her old floral dresses. A dress that comes from Giambattista Valli. She first wore this beautiful dress when the French Presidential couple visited Copenhagen last year, here. Back then she embraced the style by wearing black pointed pumps and a matching box clutch. This year in Houston black had turned into nude accessories instead. Both the ostrich clutch from Naledi Copenhagen and leather pumps from Prada have been seen the previous day.

Once again we got a chance to get a look at her other accessories. Her diamond earrings are an old pair created by Danish Dulong Fine Jewelry. They go way back. Its pendant is removable and can be replaced with different stones. Through the years we have both seen them worn with a diamond pendant, one in coral, rose quartz, etc. Two bracelets worn at the event in Houston are also from Dulong Fine Jewelry. I would not be surprised if pictures would show her golde Cartier bangle as well. I was just not able to find one. Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen made two fo her diamond rings. The third one I have never identified.

Gala dinner

Crown Princess Mary's first day in Texas was packed from early morning till late in the evening. Her second day wasn't as busy. First she was welcomed by Houstons Mayor, Sylvester Turner. Later she attended the launch of a future collaboration between Houston and Denmark with purpose to share knowledge and solutions on climate changes.

In the evening, the Crown Princess was invited as guest of honor to attend a gala dinner on behalf of her visit. She arrived to Houston Museum of Fine Arts, where the dinner was about to take place. After she was welcomed herself, Crown Princess Mary placed in line and welcomed other guests.

Official representatives and Danish companies working with green energy and pharmaceuticals  and medical equipment also attended the gala dinner along with the Crown Princess.

Mary stunned at the gala dinner. She arrived like Hollywood star in her reused Jesper Høvring gown. It has been two years since we first saw that inducible gown. Do you remember her wearing it when the King and Queen of Belgium visited Copenhagen in 2017, here? Mary had chosen to style her evening gown with black glitter pumps from Pura Lopez and a matching box clutch from Sergio Rossi. She reused the pumps from the previous day.

Cartier created that magnificent golden bangle and Dulong Fine Jewelry made the other one. Stunning pieces. Both earrings, bracelet and ring matched in colour. Purple stones and diamonds are a lovely combo. Never thought these two colours would look good together, but they really do.

Love her curly hairstyle. I often miss these feminine hairstyles, but we rarely sees them. Now we did and it looks beautiful. She even accessorized her hairstyle with, what I believe is a, PICO Copenhagen French hair-comb. I like what I see. Do you?

Day 1. Business and cultural promotion in Texas

11 March

During the day

A couple of months ago it was announced that Crown Princess Mary was going on a business and cultural promotion visit in Austin and Houston, Texas, USA. Now it was time for the american people to welcome the very own: Crown Princess of Denmark. The visit last from March 11-13th.

I guess she arrived that Sunday evening to be ready for the following days activities in Austin. Monday morning Crown Princess Mary arrived to House of Scandinavia, which is a pop-up lounge that brings together activities that are based on Nordic sustainable solutions. Here she attended an early meeting entitled 'Women in Leadership & How to Inspire the Nest Generation of Women Leaders' with propose to women leaders potential as rolemodels. The Crown Princess was accompanied by among others Danish Minister of Culture, Mette Bock, the Danish ambassador in the United States, Henrik Hahn Brahmsen and EU Commissioner, Margrethe Vestager.

Crown Princes Mary also attended the worlds most important festival South by Southwest or SXSW. This is the festival to go to for tech, film, gastronomy and art. More than 280,000 people don't lie, right? And then it all takes place in Austin. Denmark was this year also a significant representative at the festival.

Embed from Getty Images

What an outfit. What a start. Mary dazzled in a great combination of both new and old pieces. I am sure you noticed her new blue and green coat right away. So did I. Do you like it? Think it got some kinda exciting vibe. Heaven managed to identify Mary's brand new coat as Baum und Pferdgarten. A designer we have not seen in quite awhile. She matched the new coat with fitted black trousers and a reused black blouse. Both pieces are still not identified. Or at least not by me.

She embraced the style by wearing lots of stunning jewellery, such as other smashing accessories. Katerina Pitzner is the designer of her that infinity diamond necklace. Beautiful work. Luckily I've got a closeup showing Mary's jewellery. I am able to tell you about four or her five worn bracelets. She is an expensive lady with all that golden bracelets. One is from Cartier and the three others are created by Dulong Fine Jewelry. The fifth diamond bangle could be an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen design, here. But Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen is for sure the one who made the two diamond rings.

Nina Ricci designed Mary's lovely green cross-shoulder bag. Mary has also worn it a a clutch on a few others occasions prior to this one. Heaven suggested to me that her new chunky heel pumps are from Jimmo Choo and I think she hit homerun. For a long time I wanted to add a similar pair of shoes to my wardrobe, but somehow Mary makes it work way better than I do. Now I them even more.

Meeting the Governor

Around noon Crown Princess Mary was officially welcomed by Texas Governor, Greg Abbott and his wife in the governor's residence. Seems like it was a true pleasure for all three of them to meet. The Crown Princess was one big smile such as Greg Abbott was. I am sure the Governor and his wife were happy to welcome the Crown Princess and tell her little about Texas.

An hour or so later she experienced the performance 'Tow with the Flow' that focuses on over-consumption and sustainability in clothing production and fashion. The performance shows 17 custom-made suits prepared by the Scandinavian design studio Sur Le Chemin.

Before attending a late reception Crown Princess Mary was present at Nordic Music Showcase. Five Nordic bands performed presented by the Danish music festival Roskilde Festival. The Crown Princess opened it all with a speech.

Meeting the Governor and his lovely wife, Mary was beautifully dressed in a brand new dress. One day has almost passed and we already got so many new (stunning) pieces. It was found at Moss and Spy by Heaven. Do you remember her wearing another Moss and Spy dress? It was on a visit to Seattle in 2018, here. Incredible work.

This time in Texas she embraced the style with wonderful nude leather pumps from Prada. We have often seen her wear these pointed pumps with colorful dresses as on February 28th, when she presented the ElieForsk Awards 2019, here. Nude accessories and bright colored clothes are a match made in heaven. That is also why I love that she wore a nude ostrich clutch from Naledi Copenhagen. As earlier the same day Mary shone with golden bracelets from both Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry, who also created that impressive diamond earrings. Her incredible hairstyle is also worth noticing.

Reception

The Crown Princess ended a long first day in Texas by attending a reception at House of Scandinavia.  She arrived like a princess in a Hollywood movie. Walking most elegantly down the stairs at the event in Austin. All attendances enjoyed a reception with lots of cultural performances from among others Denmark. These Danish participants are participating South by Southwest. Crown Princess Mary pared a visit to the festival earlier the same day.

A long finally came to an end and it was time for the Crown Princess to get a long night's sleep

Embed from Getty Images

What Mary wore at the reception at House of Scandinavia reminded me a lot of something Queen Letizia of Spain would wear. She really surprised me with what she was wearing. Keep it simple, yet super elegant and classy. Mary rocked that black and white outfit. Both the black embellished blouse and that crispy white blazer are brand new pieces in her wardrobe. So far I have not been able to find any of them yet. The blazer reminds me of something from Alexander McQueen, but that is guesswork at the moment. Her new embellished blouse got a lot in comment to an old creation from By Malene Birger worn in an interview with Australian Women's Weekly from 2004, here. Don't you think? With the embellishment and fringes?

She caught everybody's attention with a rather large ring, golden bracelets and of course that new calm shell earrings. A good friend of mine recognized them right away as Rebekka Notkin. A Danish  jewellery brand. Think she is wearing a black Carlend Copenhagen clutch and matching pumps from Pura Lopez.

New Year's Eve reception at Christiansborg Castle

04 January

Around 9 am local time, the Queen was driven from Amalienborg Castle to Christiansborg castle as it has been a tradition for years. Half an hour later she arrived at Christiansborg as hostess of the third (and last) reception on occasion of New Year's Eve.

On January 1st, she hosted the prestiges New Year's banquet with Government members invited such as the royal house staff, here. On January 3rd, among others, the diplomatic corps were invited to a reception at Christiansborg Castle, here.

The following day Queen Margrethe hosted her last New Year reception, which took place at Christiansborg Castle in Copenhagen. As mentioned before, she arrived in a gold coach. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary also attended the reception.

At this third reception, which took place at Christiansborg Castle Mary had chosen to reuse an old blue gown first worn back in 2006. Since then it has changed a bit. Specially the skirt has been minimized. Somehow I prefer the old version, but Mary seems to love it this way. She has worn it a couple of times before, which is why I am sure you clearly remember it. What I have heard is that Henrik Hviid created her gown back then, but I have never been able to confirm it. Do you happen to know anything about that?

On Friday Mary embraced the New Year style by wearing her blue gown with simple suede pumps from Pura Lopez and a Quidam clutch. Of course both pieces perfectly matched in colour. Both in blue. She matched her look with stunning ruby earrings inherited from her husbands grandmother, Queen Ingrid. The same goes with the brooch.

Somehow I noticed her hairstyle as the first thing. That simple ponytail caught my attention right away. Amazing how she manages to make such a simple hairstyle look this great - at an event like this. Truly remarkable.

Day 1. Official visit to Latvia

Thursday, December 6th

-During the day-
Quite a while it was announced that the Crown Prince couple were to visit Latvia on December 6th to 7th. That's now. The visit is all about celebrating Latvia declaring their independence a 100 years ago. Denmark is part of that celebration, which is also why Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were invited to visit Latvia. They were invited by Latvia's President, Raimonds Vējonis, whom they were also welcomed by at the arrival. The royal couple are accompanied by the Danish Minister of Culture, Mette Bock.

Other than the 100 years anniversary of Latvia being an independant state; the visit also focus on design, art and history. They couple will attend several events on that occasion during the two days in Riga, Latvia.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary arrived early morning in Riga where they were warmly welcomed by the Presidential couple. Hundreds of people had showed up to get a glimpse of the royal couple arriving from Denmark. Afterwards, they were officially welcomed at a ceremony at Riga Castle. The couple payed a visit to the Freedom Monument in Riga and played a wreath in honor of those who died during a battle of making Latvia an independent state. It was revealed than 80 years ago.

Chairman of the Latvian parliament, Ināra Mūrniece hosted an official lunch for the Danish royal couple before it was time for the couple to have a few hours on their own.

No doubt that Mary arrived with style. She was dressed in pink from head to toe. Literally. Everything matched with perfection. Pink it no an easy colour to match with other pink pieces. But Mary managed that. She looked wonderful in a brand new bubblegum pink coat featuring a matching belt and rhinestones. The stunning creation has been identified by the designer as Claes Iversen, here. She could also be wearing a grey skirt from Dolce & Gabbana, first worn at the opening of the Parliament in 2015, here.

As first mentioned; also the accessories matched in colour. Mary has chosen to wear a brand new pink hat has well. It has been confirmed that Susanne Juul created her new hat. What a piece, right? It is very similar in style as this, here. Wish more women would wear hats - including myself... She also embraced the style with pink gloves, her old Bottega Veneta knot clutch and Gianvito Rossi pumps.

It is indeed pink. Maybe a little too pink for me, though she wear it with great elegance. Same goes with the jewellery - pure elegance. I see earrings, a ring and a golden bracelet from Danish Dulong Fine Jewelry. Pretty sure she could be wearing the golden Cartier bangle as well, but so far I have no pictures to prove it. Just a hunch.

I am overwhelmed to see her in such a bright colour this time a year. But it makes me proud to have her as Crown Princess, when she do such a great impression worldwide with what she wears.

-Dinner at Riga Castle-
After a few hours on their own the Crown Prince couple attended a reception in the concert house called Great Guild, which had been arranged by the Danish Embassy in Latvia, DCCL and the Danish Cultural Institute. About an hour later Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary watched a concert at the Great Guild, played by Concerto Copenhagen. What a remarkable name for an orchestra. The Presidential couple from Latvia also attended the concert along with the Danish Crown Prince couple.

All four of them meet afterwards at the official dinner taking place at Riga Castle. The Presidential couple hosted the dinner with Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary as guests of honor. The Crown Prince gave a speech as part of the official welcoming dinner.

Well, well, well. Mary in trousers at a dinner. That does not happen very often. At the moment I can not remember that we have ever seen that. At first glance I thought it was Queen Letizia of Spain that showed up on my screen. In fact it was my own Crown Princess. The whole look reminds me so much of something the Spanish Queen would wear. Nevertheless, it was Mary.

She embraced the style by wearing a brand new brocade blazer featuring a velvet collar. It is told to be made by talented Danish designer Jesper Høvring (collection: H by Jesper Høvring), who has created many of Mary's great evening gowns, here. This time it was a blazer. She wore her new bronze/golden blazer with fitted velvet trousers and a white blouse underneath. Heaven mentioned that the trousers could be from the same designers as the blazer. Tell me what you think about that.

No evening outfit without a little glitter. That is probably why Mary wore her black glitter pumps from Pura Lopez. We have seen then before, when she attended the presentation of the Danish Rainbow Award - AXGIL, here. I am sure you notified her diamond earrings as well. Somehow I think we have seen them before 10 years ago, when she attended the official opening of Skuespilhuset in Copenhagen, here. Thanks to one of you I am finally able to point out the specific event. What do you think? - is she wearing old diamond earrings? The diamond rings are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

Day 2. Business promotion in Seattle

Friday, May 4th

The Crown Princess has already spend her first day in Seattle as part of an art- and culture business promotion. While traveling the Crown Princess is accompanied with Minister of Foreign Affairs Anders Samuelsen. She arrived to Seattle in the afternoon on Thursday. Around noon on Friday the Crown Princess arrived to University of Washington, here, to participate a debate about empowerment of women and economic constraints. The debate is made in collaboration with University of Washington, the International Center of Research for Women and the Danish Embassy. While visiting the university, She was in a splendid mood as the evening before, where she attended the official opening of the business promotion at the Nordic Museum, here. The Crown Princess was given the opportunity to say a few words at the arrangement and she did. With a humble "good morning" she spoke about empowerment of women for the other attendances.

A few hours later, she payed a visit to the Novo Nordisk Research Center, here. At the research center she was warmly welcomed with flowers, smiles and handshakes. Especially, the little flower girl seemed to have had the best day of her life meeting the Danish Crown Princess. During her visit, she was given a guided tour around the facilities and told about everything she was shown. Among other things, the Crown Princess was informed about the company's efforts to combat overweight.

On the second day in Seattle, Mary dazzled wearing an amazing blue outfit. She showed up in a brand new printed dress identified by Kate as Diane Von Furstenberg. It is so beautiful and classy. She matched the new dress with a reused blue coat. The coat was first worn in 2017, while visiting 'Værket' in Copenhagen, here. Think it works a bit better with this outfit. What do you think?  Kate shared a Prada coat with me that looks pretty much alike the one Mary was wearing. Take a look and tell me what you think. She embraced the chic Seattle-style with Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen rings, a golden Cartier bracelet, even a few bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry. As other accessories Mary wore a pair of beige pointed pumps from Prada worn on several occasions before such as the Prada handbag. I have always loved when she wears darker and lighter colours as a match. Just like she did this second day in Seattle.

After a day with an agenda focusing on empowerment on women and a visit to Novo Nordisk Research Center in Seattle, the Crown Princess attended an official gala dinner at the Nordic Museum. The day before she had also visited the museum, where she attended the opening of the art- and culture business promotion, here. The Crown Princess arrived in a splendid mood on this magnificent sunny evening. Along with representatives from all other nordic countries, she was given a guided tour around the museums exhibitions. The exhibitions shows nordic countries history and culture and their influence on the United States. As part of the event the Crown Princess also gave a applaud.

Mary has already shown us so many beautiful and breathtaking outfits during this trip to Seattle. At the gala dinner at Nordic Museum we got one more. She was glowing in a brand new black and white dress. This has been identified by Heaven as a Preen creation. Looks like the white part is removable. A perfect dress for someone like Mary who loves to play with her clothes. I simply can't wait to see how she's going to wear the dress next time we see it. She had chosen very little and simple accessories to match her outfit -a golden Cartier bracelet, white pearl ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry and of course, as you all recognize, her wedding earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. I am thrilled to see her wearing these again. Seems like a long time ago since we have seen these stunning earrings. You missed them too? Mary also embraced the style with glitter pumps from Pure Lopez and a Sergio Rossi clutch. She wore this combo just a few weeks ago, when attending the Danish Rainbow Award -AXGIL, herein Copenhagen. Love how she kept everything polished to makes the dress stand out with such elegance. A classy look that will never go wrong.

The Danish Rainbow Awards -AXGIL

Wednesday, April 25th

Wednesday evening the Crown Princess arrived to Cirkusbygningen in Copenhagen to attend the presentation of the Danish Rainbow Awards -AXGIL. The royal guest of honor was warmly welcomed with handshakes, flowers and lots of smiles by the board of directors of Rainbow Business Denmark. The Crown Princess was in a brilliant mood, when she later in the evening, entered the stage and handed over the honorary award. Each year, Rainbow Business Denmark hand over awards to organisations, companies and people, who helps to create better living conditions for LGBT people or helps improving the environment for LGBT people in Denmark. This year the Crown Princess handed over the honorary award to LGBT Denmark -The National Association for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender, here.

A colourful event takes a colourful outfit, right? Like a pro, Mary managed to dress up a simple black dress just beautifully with a new printed coat. This has been identified by Heaven as an Etro design. What I really like about this new coat, has to be the length of it and the colours. Really nice. As mentioned, she matched it with a black dress. Somehow I remembered that she had worn the dress before. Do you know when? The event was pretty significant for Denmark as nation -it was Eurovision Song Contest 2014 held in Denmark that year, here. Unfortunately, I was never really able to identify. Still, I am convinced it is the same dress. Mary embraced the stunning new coat and reused dress with new earrings as well. These were found by Sarah at Etro. She also accessorized her beautiful evening look with other jewellery from Dulong Fine Jewelry and Orit Elhanati such as a little black clutch from Sergio Rossi. The black glitter pumps are the only thing left to talk about, when it comes to her outfit. I am so sure the designer of these new pumps is Pura Lopez. Tell me if you see the same or something completely different.

Flag day 2017

Tuesday, September 5th

Both Crown Prince Frederik and his wife Crown Princess Mary were very emotional when attending activities on occasion of Flag Day 2017 -an annual event held for the ninth time, honoring Danish deployed soldiers. Early in the morning the Crown Prince couple visited Kartellet in Copenhagen to place a wreath in honor of soldiers who were lost in battle; one way or another. The wreath placed at Kartellet featured the Crown Prince couple´s monogram. The Crown Prince and Crown Princess also attended a memorial service in Holmens church in Copenhagen. Both of them were moved by the atmosphere in the church along with everyone else attending the service. The service was followed by a parade at Thorvaldsens square next to Christiansborg castle in Copenhagen. Also Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attended activities during the day on occasion of the Flag Day. Both couple's attended the parade at Thorvaldens sqaure. Actually it is the first time both Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim and his wife Princess Marie are present at the parade in each others company. A memorable day, full with mixed emotions.

It is not the first time the Crown Prince couple attend activities on occasion of the Flag Day. Each time Mary has been beautifully and appropriately dressed for the occasion. This year she honored the Danish soldiers wearing her reused white Hugo Boss dress and Prada coat in black. Both dress and coat have been worn several times before, here, here. She embrace a sophisticated style by wearing wide-brimmed straw hat from Susanne Juul, Hartmann's diamond earrings and her golden twisted Orit Elhanati necklace. Both suede gloves, beige Hugo Boss clutch and pointed pumps matched the rest of her outfit when attending Flag Day in Copenhagen. She also wore a very beautiful brooch on the left side of her chest. Immediately I started thinking about the possibility if Mary has worn it before. Right away I came across a visit at the Children's Aid Foundation on January 26 2007, here. Mary was wearing a pair of new pumps in a beige/blush colour. At first Gianvito Rossi was suggested as the designer, but I was not quite sure about this. Then Pura Lopez (SS2015) came to my mind and when Kate suggested the same, I had to do something. By request it has been confirmed that her pumps are from Pura Lopez. I think Mary's outfit is a very nobel way of honoring the Danish soldiers.
