Copenhagen Pride Week 2020

 22nd August

It was a big day for a small country like Denmark on August 22nd. Our future Queen spoke in advance of Copenhagen Pride Week Show.

Crown Princess Mary speech was given online due to the current circumstances. For around five and a halv minutes she spoke (in Danish) about, among other things, how proud she is to live in a country like Denmark. A country that embrace LGBTI-rights with pride.

For this attitude towards LGBTI-rights, she receives a highly positive spirit from people around the world, who admire Denmark and the Danes because of their way of embracing diversity.

She also admits that we still face some issues in relation to this way of living. Something we need to address and talk about.

The Crown Princess also has another role in this game. She has become patron for Copenhagen 2021 that takes place in 12-22nd of August next year in Copenhagen and Malmø. It is an internation event with a purpose to ensure equal rights for LBGTI+ people worldwide. We will look forward to follow her towards  the big event in 2021.

Dressed to impress. That is for sure. Mary is always perfectly dressed for any occasion she is attending. How many of us are able to say that? - not me. Once again, she strikes wearing a reused outfit, when giving her speech at the Copenhagen Pride Week 2020.

She embraced the style as future patron of Copenhagen 2021, by wearing an old white blouse featuring the most incredible and simple details. Just look at those buttons and that perfectly cut v-neck. It goes back to 2018, were we first say it at an event with DR's Girls Choir, here. At that time Jesper Høvring was mentioned as a possible designer. I guess because it looks awfully a lot like another one of his designs of hers. I was never able to confirm that suggestion.

Mary had chosen to wear a white and black pleated Designers Remix skirt as well. A pieces of clothes worn at quite a few occasions by now. Among others at a Women Deliver conference in 2019, here.

We only get a few seconds of close-ups. That is just enough for me to say that she is indeed wearing two amazing bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry and another one from Cartier. Love how she matches all these golden bracelets. If you pay close attention to her right hand I am sure you will see her golden Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen ring. She even wears a little brooch - the Danish flag next to a rainbow flag. A beautiful outfit we will reminder, right?

Management meeting

20th August

No doubt that COVID19 has made our mindset different. We think differently. We need to take different precautions than we are use to. We need to act differently when we are around other people. Both in private and for companies, things are not as we are use to be. But how do we deal with this?

This is exactly what Crown Princess Mary and the rest of the Mary Foundation's management discussed at a meeting last Thursday. A meeting about being creative and finding alternatives for what is not possible at the moment. For instance, physical contact with others are limited right now. Crown Princess Mary reminds us that physical distance and social distance are not the same thing.

One of the things the Mary Foundation try to fight is social isolation. Not the easiest topic to combat on normal terms, but COVID19 makes it even more difficult because we need to stay separated to take care of each other. But by being creative and innovative, and trying to find alternative ways of getting together we are, according to the Crown Princess, able to do the things we use to do - without compromising.

With this mindset, the Mary Foundation still operate to fight social isolation despite difficulties.

I always love getting a glimpse of how it looks, when Mary is head of a meeting. Not many placed in the world are we allowed to see what happens behind closed royal doors. Mary changed that. On more than one occasion she shared with us pictures and tellings about how a meeting takes place with the Mary Foundation.

This time she chose to embrace her hardworking work-ethics wearing one of her old Michael Kors dresses. Mary first wore this dress at the presentation of the annual FSR - Denmark's best CSR report in 2018, here. Some time went by without anyone lucky enough to identify this new dress. Suddenly, it was found at Micheal Kors.

Mary belted her Kors dress with a lovely burgundy belt. Still unidentified. Still a piece I really want to find one day. She has both worn this incredible belt with skirts, dresses and even outside a navy blue coat, here.

Usually, we see her accompanied by her phone, paperwork and some kind of clutch bag. Meeting with the rest of her leading team Mary brought with her two clutches. One possibly from Carlend Copenhagen (called 'Laura') and another one from Tapet Café. The beautiful beaded necklace is a Dulong Fine Jewelry creation.

New thornback rays in Kattegatcentret

 19th August

Some of us still enjoy you vacation and some are back at school and work again. Crown Princess Mary is one of those who are back at work. She started her workdays with a visit at Kattegatcentret in Grenaa - an aquarium with more than 250 different sea animals. Her visit was as newly President of the WWF Wold Wild Fund for Nature. She introduced her new title in Grenaa by welcoming five new thornback rays.

The weather was splendid, when she arrived to Kattegatcentret. So was her mood. The Crown Princess smiles, laughed and had a wonderful time in Grenaa. Looks like she really enjoyed being back at work; meeting people again. Those who showed up at Kattegatcentret were indeed thrilled and excited to get a glimpse of the Crown Princess.

Before she welcomed the little thornback rays and introduced them to their new home a speech was given. A great was to mark such a special day for both Kattegatcentret and the Crown Princess - who did a great job on her first official visit after her vacation and as new President of WWF World Wild Fund for Nature.

Crown Princess Mary also made a great example of embracing a new (temporary) Danish law that tell us to cover our mouth and nose in public transportation such as busses and trains from August 22nd, by posting a couple of pictures from her trip to Grenaa, here

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about her latest outfit in Grenaa. I adored how she matched reused and new pictures of clothed with reused and new pieces of accessories. That brand new white button-down shirt (featuring printed animals and flowers) and her Apiece Apart midi-skirt looked stunning and very relaxed at the same time. Mary looked really comfortable, didn’t she? So far, no-one including myself, have not been able to identify her white shirt. I both see lions, parrots, giraffes and small flowers in different colors. Any ideas? The skirt has only been worn a more private and casual occasions. This is the first time she wears it at a more public event. And we like it, right?

She embraced the style by wearing chic new espadrille wedges as well. They do not look that comfortable, but often wedges heels are more supportive on your foot and easier to wear all day. Kate was able to find them at Sandália. Do you like these kinda shoes? Or are they too “clumsy”? I think Mary wear them beautifully. Gives her a summer vibe that I like very much.

No bag needed for this event, but instead we have a lot of amazing jewellery to look at - and adore! First thing noticed has to be her new golden earrings. Already identified as Dulong Fine Jewelry. One of their latest collections. Cannot wait to see how she style them the next time. Also from Dulong Fine Jewelry she wore a couple of golden bracelets. Among others, a new one made of all kinds of different colored beads. Very playful and a lovely match to the rest of her outfit. I also see her Cartier bangle and two golden rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. For those who like to know: her hairpiece looks like those from Kknekki.
