Meeting with Denmark's climate ambassador

23 November 2023

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary met with Tomas Anker Christensen - the Danish climate ambassador - to a talk about the Danish action on the climate ahead of the upcoming UN climate summit "COP28" in Dubai in December.

The "COP" climate summits have taken place every year with only a few exceptions since 1992.

Crown Prince Frederik will be attending the summit in Dubai along with the Danish Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

I am not sure what to think of Mary's outfit at the meeting. I do like the idea of a top matched with simple black pants embraced with a belt and suede pumps, but her new The Fold London top has a very unique color. Maybe not the best color to her fair skin. Maybe matched with another bottom?

How would you style such a blouse?

Imagine she was wearing a few of her beloved diamond rings and maybe one or two golden bracelets, but we only get a glimpse of a necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau.

Gala reception at Copenhagen City Hall

21 November 2023

Crown Princess Mary was invited as guest of honor for a gala reception hosted on occasion of Vietnam's Vice President H.E. Vo Thi Ánh Xuân officially visiting Denmark (here). The two of them have met earlier when the Crown Prince Couple visited Vietnam in 2022 (here, here).

The magical reception took place at Copenhagen City Hall. All invited enjoyed notes of both the national song of Denmark and Vietnam.

Vice President H.E. Vo Thi Ánh Xuân will be meeting with Crown Prince Frederik tomorrow at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg for an official welcoming.

This is my favorite outfit of the year! Gosh I have always adored this Beulah London dress but every time Mary is wearing it, I fall in love with it even more. Just look at that amazing burgundy velvet. Sight! It is simply gorgeous. I truly need something velvet. Do you have anything velvet in your wardrobe?

Mary style her reused Beulah London midi dress with beautiful ruby earrings. They are part of Queen Ingrid's Ruby Parure which Crown Prince Frederik inherited after his great-grandmother for his wife to wear. Mary made a few alterations to the parure and now the earrings can be worn several ways.

We also get a glimpse of her two golden necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. The same goes with an (still) unidentified golden bangle. I hope we are able to identify it one day. I have the same hopes with her rather larger diamond ring which was accompanied by two diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

The black glitter clutch goes quite a few years back, but I have never found it. Her smashing tuxedo-like pumps are from her all-time-favorite shoe designer: Gianvito Rossi.

State council meeting

14 November 2023

A little about a month ago, Prince Christian celebrated his 18th birthday. What a party! (here, here, here, here, here).

On November 14th, he then attended his very first state council meeting along with his father and grandmother - Crown Prince Frederik and Queen Margrethe (here).

The young Prince signed a so-called "solemn declaration" of wanting to comply with the Danish constitution. This is essential for him to be able to be installed as head of state in the event that both the Queen and Crown Prince are prevented from leading the government.

The memorable day was later on captured on photo. Prince Christian was accompanied by Queen Margrethe, his parents and the Danish Government.

We only got a flash of Mary when she was photographed along with her husband, oldest son and the Government after the state council meeting. Nevertheless, we are able to take a look at what she was wearing.

The dusty blue coat is a reuse. She first wore it when attending the confirmation of Holger Reedtz-Thott in 2021 (here). I was never able to identify it. It is still a mystery to me. Any ideas? If you take a look you'll see that Mary actually wore more or less the same outfit at the state council meeting as in 2021. Same coat. Same Hugo Boss blouse. Same white pants.

Mary styled her outfit with beloved yellow diamond earrings, necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau and a very special brooch. It was given to her as a gift from her parents-in-law when she gave birth to Prince Christian in 2005. The Connaught brooch is one of my favorites!

Her smashing python pointed pumps are classy ones from Gianvito Rossi.

Day 3.

Official state visit from Spain

08 November 2023

Queen Margrethe has invited King Felipe and Queen Letizia to officially visit Denmark from November 6-8th. This is why the couple arrived at Copenhagen Airport two days ago (here, here).

On their last day in Denmark, the Spanish King and Queen accompanied Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary for a visit at the Danish Architectural Center in Copenhagen (here).

The Danish Architectural Center is a melting pot of knowledge about architecture, construction and urban development with a focus on the future.

This is no my favorite suit of hers but Mary wears it with such elegance and style! Do doubt about that. Love it when she wears suits. Both with skirts and pants. This matching set is a reuse from Scanlan Theodore. Her plain pleated white top is an old one from Hugo Boss. Classics never goes out of style.

Mary embraced the look with polished white pearl earrings and a matching ring custom-made by talented Dulong Fine Jewelry. Both earrings and ring have been in her jewellery box for many years now. She has also become very fond of that Halberstadt necklace. We understand why, right?

What I am most fan of with this outfit is her Gianvito Rossi python pumps. Every inch of my loves these pumps. They are gorgeous.

So, let me know what outfit you favor most from this state visit. My vote goes to her pants-suit-outfit.

Day 2.

Official state visit from Spain

07 November 2023

Yesterday, the King and Queen of Spain arrived at Copenhagen Airport to spend three days in Denmark. They couple were invited by Queen Margrethe. She, the Crown Prince Couple and Princess Benedikte welcomed King Felipe and Queen Letizia with a prestiges gala dinner at Christiansborg (here).

On November 7th, Crown Prince Frederik and King Felipe attended the opening of a business conference at NH Collection Hotel in the morning. Later on, they accompanied their spouses at Kastellet in Copenhagen to a memorial service (here).

Around noon, the Queen and Crown Prince Couple visited the University of Copenhagen along with the King and Queen of Spain.

Crown Princess Mary then had the honor of showing Queen Letizia the Mary Elizabeth Hospital.

Have to say that Queen Letizia first caught my eye in that bright green dress! Gosh she looked stunning. Love the splash of colors. Mary was a bit more quiet in terms of colors when wearing her reused RED Valentino blouse and white tweed skirt from Dolce & Gabbana. A beautiful match. When visiting Kastellet, Mary had chosen a classy wool-blend JOSEPH coat.

Study her outfit closer and you will see lots of fabulous details. Like the outstanding diamond earrings made by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. They also crafted her two diamond rings. I always adored these earrings.

What on earth? Mary was wearing a brand new handbag!! Can't get enough of this new black leather handbag from Massimo Dutti. Somehow, it reminds me of something Queen Letizia would wear. Looks amazing with her reused black leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

Return dinner, Glyptotek

In the evening, King Felipe and Queen Letizia hosted a return dinner at Glyptoteket in Copenhagen. Queen Margrethe, the Crown Prince Couple and Princess Benedikte were guests of honor at the dinner.

Before dinner was served, they were given a guided tour around the exhibition "Joaquín Sorolla - Light in movement". Joaquín Sorolla is a Spanish artist known for his use of especially use of lights, colors and natural phenomena. His art is truly remarkable.

Mary wore one of her most beloved Hennes & Mauritz skirts. An incredible skirt that originally is a dress. We have never seen her wear it as a dress. She had it altered before wearing it publicly. This is the sixth time she is wearing it. In 2018 (here) and 2021 (here), Mary wore the skirt with the same blouse as at the return dinner on November 7th. The blouse has never been identified.

She embraced her evening outfit with magnificent diamond earrings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Just look at that craftsmanship. Her fine 'F'-necklace is a creation from Halberstadt. Her HUGE Aquamarine ring was set in place with help from one of her Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond bands.

Her clutch is a reused - still unidentified. The black mesh pumps are old goodies from Gianvito Rossi.

Oh I simply love these state visits!

Day 1.

Official state visit from Spain

06 November 2023

Arrival and official welcoming

By invitation from Queen Margrethe, the Spanish King and Queen visited Denmark on November 06-08th. The royal family welcomed the couple at Vilhelm Lauritzen's Terminal at Copenhagen Airport on Monday (here).

Queen Margrethe was accompanied by Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary and Princess Benedikte, when welcoming the King Felipe and Queen Letizia.

The official welcoming ceremony took place at Christiansborg. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen also attended the ceremony.

Prior to the welcoming ceremony at Christiansborg, the Danish and Spanish royals visited Kastellet and later on they were escorted by carriage to Christians VII's Palace at Amalienborg.

Even though we have seen pretty much every single piece of her outfit before, then I think her style was a bit different than we are use to see. I can't really explain it. Think it is the combination of colors and that hat. Would really like to see her wear that new hat with another outfit. Any idea were it is from?

Mary matched a brand new Scanlan Theodore dress with a reused dark green The Fold London wool-blend coat. The color is outstanding. Elegant and delicate. She style it with her amazing studded Valentino pumps. Imagine those in our wardrobe. Sight!

As other accessories, Mary had chosen a beloved Quidam clutch.

A closer look revealed that she was in fact wearing huge diamond earrings once purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction and a stunning brooch from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The combo is a bit odd but both pieces are magnificent. The same goes with the Dulong Fine Jewelry black South Sea pearl bracelet.

Mary looked smashing in her reused bespoke Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen evening gown. I learned that her gown is in fact dusty green. I aways thought it was soft blue. Now I like it even more. She first wore it in 2022 on occasion of her 50th birthday (here).

She embraced the magical gala outfit with her beautiful tiara once purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction. It can also be worn as a necklace. For the first time, I think the tiara suited her outfit with such perfection it is scary. The earrings are also an auction purchase.

We get a glimpse of her beloved Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces as well as an old Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond bangle. She has also worn both the J. Furmani clutch and the silver glitter Gianvito Rossi pumps before.

Presenting the "Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2023"

The Crown Prince Couple's Social Prize 2023

04 November 2023

On Saturday evening, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of this years winners of the "Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2023" (here).

In total, the couple handed over five prizes. The Culture Prize, the Stardust Culture Prize, the Stardust Social Prize and the Social Prize.

The Social Prize was given to the project "Social Drive Out". An initiative that was established during the pandemic. Every week volunteers offer a helping hand to those who need a little support in the everyday. For example, to take with you to the doctor or dentist.

Crown Princess Mary was introduced to the project by one of the volunteers and met some of those who have become part of "Social Drive Out". Her visit was broadcasted during the gala show.

Mary looked great in a casual outfit visiting "Social Drive Out". Love these simple and relaxed looks. They are my greatest inspiration. She had chosen a beloved Harris Wharf London blazer and matched it with a brand new POLO Ralph Lauren button-down. I really like the down-on-earth linen look of her new shirt. Pretty sure she was also wearing a reused pair of Britt Sisseck pants and a brown leather belt.

She embraced the style with small yellow gold diamond earrings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and a golden cuff crafted by Dulong Fine Jewelry. Her elegant diamond rings are also from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Look closer and you will see her Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklace as well.

The hairband is from Kknekki.

Presenting the "Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2023"

Gala show at Esbjerg Music House

04 November 2023

The Bikuben Foundation gifted the Crown Prince Couple on occasion of their wedding in 2004 with these annual prizes. They aim to highlight and acknowledge extraordinary achievements of culture and social work in Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

Every year, the show is broadcasted live from a different Danish city. This year, the show took place in Esbjerg Music House (here).

One by one, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary presented the winners of the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2023 (here).

Designer Henrik Vibskov reviewed the Culture Prize. The Social Prize was given to "Social Drive Out". The artistic and cross-aesthetic "How to Kill a Dog" won the Stardust Culture Prize and the initiative run by Esbjerg Jobcenter and "Engery for Each Other" received the Stardust Social Prize.

Mary looked like a truly movie star when attending the presentation of the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2023 in Esbjerg. I was thrilled to see her wear a brand new navy blue velvet dress from Rotate Birger Christensen! The dress is magnificent and PERFECT for the occasion. I simply can't get enough of this dress. Looks beautiful on her.

Love how she matched the new glitter dress with blue satin pumps from Gianvito Rossi and a reused Prada box-clutch. What is not to like? What do you think of her outfit?

I really also like the way she had her hair. Very chic and a bit edgy. Great with the elegant dress. As jewellery, Mary wore beloved necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. Such as custom-made diamond earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and diamond bands from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

Visiting Folkehuset Kvaglund & Maritime Center

04 November 2023

This year, the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes are presented in Esbjerg Music House from which the life show is also broadcasted.

Before visiting Folkehuset Kvaglund and the Maritime Center in Esbjerg, the couple made a quick private visit to Svend Wiig Hansen's grand monoment "Mennesket ved Havet" (People by the Sea).

Folkehuset Kavglund is an initiative by Kvalund Church and its residents. Folkehuset Kvaglund offer communal meals, lectures and concerts. Ways of gathering people. The Crown Prince Couple were given the opportunity to meet some of the people spending time at Folkehuset Kvaglund.

Mary was dressed warm and cozy when visiting Esbjerg prior to the grand show at Esbjerg Music House. They were to present this years winners of the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2023. Mary had chosen her beloved reversible Massimo Dutti coat and a down coat underneath from Uniqlo U. Princess Isabella has also been seen wearing her mother checkered coat (here). Mary matched her outfit with dark blue turtleneck and simple black trousers.

She also embraced the look with golden diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and a ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

Her knitted hat is still a mystery to me. She had worn it for quite some years, but I have never been able to identify it. The heeled boots are also unknown to me as well as the gloves. Hopefully, we will know more one day.

Opening of "A world-class Child and Adolescent Psychiatry"

03 November 2023

Every year since 1904, the Christmas Stamp Foundation has presented a new Christmas stamp. The money collected goes to the five Christmas Stamp homes.

The Christmas Stamp Foundation try to help strengthen wellfare and self worth for more than 1,000 children and young people every year. It is also the foundations core to fight against unhappiness, loneliness and bullying.

On Friday, Crown Princess Mary attended this years presentation as patron of the Christmas Stamp Foundation (here). Artist Lisa Grue presented the new stamp along with the Crown Princess. Lisa Grue mastered this years stamp. She was inspired by the title "Come along into the Christmas forest".

Around noon, she arrived in Hellerup to attend "A world-class Child and Adolescent Psychiatry" (here). The conference is arranged by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Psychiatry Foundation - which Crown Princess Mary is patron for.

Among others, she was given an inside in "Mind My Mind". A project offered to children and young people suffering from depression, behavioral disorders and anxiety.

Later, she attended the opening of "A World-class Child and Adolescent Psychiatry"

This has to be the most incredible addition to her wardrobe! Her brand new floral printed dress from Saloni is outstanding. I can't get enough of it. The print. The colors. The silhouette. I wouldn't mind wearing this at any time. For any occasion. Mary styled the new dress with a reused navy blue Fonnesbech coat and matching burgundy suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

Love that Mary chose rather simple accessories with the dress. Her earrings are old ones from Figaros Bryllup and her rings are custom-made by Dulong Fine Jewelry. She also wore a couple of bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry and Rebekka Notkin.

Her fine little brooch shows the theme of this years Christmas Stamp.

Work meeting with "Rare Diseases"

31 October 2023

Since 2005, Crown Princess Mary has been patron of "Rare Diseases" - an association of more than 50 associations that look after the interests of citizens affected by rare diseases and disabilities. Many live a life with a rare disease only few know about. Often are these children.

On Tuesday, Crown Princess Mary participated a work meeting with the association "Rare Diseases". She met with the Chairman Birthe Byskov Holm, CEO Lene Jensen and their information worker Julie Schmidt Hansen.

Malene Ramsin Roest and Silas Andersen Roest from the Crouzon-association also participated the meeting. They gave an inside in what it is to live with a rare disease when being a Danish citizen.

Only one photo was realized from the work meeting at Frederik VIII's palace at Amalienborg. It shows Mary and her guests. She was wearing a casual pair of brand new trousers from Dries Van Noten and a dark grey or black turtleneck. What is no to like?

Mary then accessorized the outfit with tortoise-like Gucci glasses and smashing shark grey pumps from Gianvito Rossi. We also get a glimpse of a golden bangle. If I know Mary, she would also have been wearing some kind of earrings and/or rings.

The 130th anniversary of "Offsides Social Garden"

30 October 2023

For 130 years, Fonden Missionen has helped to fight homelessness, loneliness and psychological distress. Crown Princess Mary was invited to attended the anniversary by visiting WeShelter's "Offsides Social Gardens" at Bispebjerg Hospital in Copenhagen (here).

"Offsides Social Gardens" is were the socially disadvantaged and mentally vulnerable can participate in a number of different activities with a focus on outdoor life, gardening and nature.

The Crown Princess was given a tour around the garden to see and hear how these gardens are another way for healing and developing, among others thing, social skills. To create embracing communities. The "Offsides Social Gardens" have come to mean quite a lot for people at Bispebjerg.

Autumn has finally arrived in Denmark. So I truly understand, why Mary had chosen a warm and cozy outfit when visiting "Offsides Social Gardens" at Bispebjerg.

Today, women tend to wear only black coats. That is why I LOVE to see Mary wear her checkered Hobbs coat. It is one of my favorite coats. She embraced the style of her beloved winter coat with a creamy turtleneck from ZARA and reused flared jeans from Hugo Boss.

No that many photos were released from her visit, but just enough to tell a bit more about what accessories she was wearing. The delicate diamond earrings are creations by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, who also made the matching ring.

Mary topped of her outfit with reused black suede wedges boots from Angulus.

WHO Regional Committee for Europe (RC73)

26 October 2023

In 1948, the World Health Organization was established. So this year, the organization can celebrate their 75th anniversary.

The last 75 years, WHO has been the leading global health organization in UN.

WHO's anniversary was celebrated in Astana with the conference "WHO Regional Committee for Europe (RC73)" taking place from October 23-26th.

As patron of WHO Regional Office for Europe, Crown Princess Mary was invited to give a speech. She shared her words with a video speech. Representatives from the 53 member states of WHO watched her speech on the opening day.

Mary probably wasn't present at the conference because on October 23 she was in New York (here). Therefor, her speech was recorded back home at Frederik VIII's palace in Copenhagen. In the video, Mary was wearing a beautiful brownish Harris Wharf London blazer and a simple white unidentified blouse. Both pieces are reused.

She embraced the style with golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and her most beloved necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. One symbolising her husband. The other one her four children.

"World Anti-Bullying Forum 2023"

25 October 2023

The Crown Princess arrived in New York a couple of days ago (here, here). On her last day abroad, she visited Raleigh in North Colina to attend the "World Anti-Bullying Forum 2023".

The conference gathered researchers and practitioners from all over the world to discuss the issue of bullying. "World Anti-Bullying Forum 2023" tries to enlightened all aspects of bullying and the consequences related to bullying.

Crown Princess Mary attended as representative for the Mary Foundation. She was given the opportunity to practice the opening speech (here). In her speech, she included the importance of different ways to fight bullying.

Mary looked absolutely beautiful when attending the "World Anti-bullying Forum 2023" in North Carolina. She seemed so comfortable in what she was wearing at the conference. Mary had chosen a reused outfit. Her beloved Imperial Fashion blazer and matching trousers paired with an old white pleated BOSS blouse. Simple and classy.

The stunning floral printed scarf is from Paul Smith. First worn back in 2011. It has been a favorite of hers since then. As other accessories, Mary wore her Gucci glases, a new grey leather bag from Ralph Lauren and navy blue suede pumps from Jimmy Choo.

The fine diamond earrings are beloved pieces from Sophie Bille Brahe. Her massive golden bracelet is a Rebekka Notkin design. The elegant diamond earrings are creations by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.
