Visit from Iceland

19 August

Many international activists and organizations are visiting Denmark on occasion of Copenhagen 2021. Like the French Minister of Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Élisabeth Moreno (here). Thursday afternoon, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary welcomed Icelands Presidential Couple.

President Guðni Th. Jóhannesson and his wife Eliza Jean Reid met with the Crown Prince Couple in their home at Frederik VIIIs Palace at Amalienborg. The couple visited Copenhagen because of Copenhagen 2021 - the one name for LGBTI+ events WorldPride and EuroGames.

Meeting with Iceland's Presidential Couple, Mary had chosen a really lovely outfit. Seems like, she favors wide-legged trousers these days. At least that is what she wore, when meeting the couple at Frederik VIIIs Palace. I learned from UFO No More that her new trousers are from Proenza Shoulder. Wish I would be able to wear trousers like these. But I simply do not have the hight to wear trousers this length. Mary styled her new white piece with a reused soft pink button-down. So far, it has not been identified and I still do not know where to find it. Maybe one day we will know.

She matched her stunning outfit with powder pink suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi and diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe. Personally, I do not like her earrings that much but Mary rock the look. They are a bit edgy and it looks great with the sophisticated and modern outfit of hers at the meeting. Once again, Mary showed us how easy it can be done. Blouse, trousers, earrings and pumps. Think she is wearing a golden ring as well, but I cannot identify it from the photos.

Official opening of Copenhagen 2021

18th August

Crown Princess Mary already attended a few events on occasion of Copenhagen 2021. First, she attended the opening of Human Right Forum on 16th of August (here). The following day, Crown Princess Mary showed up at the opening of the Human Rights Conference (here). She also met with the French Minister of Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Élisabeth Moreno (here).

On Wednesday, the Crown Princess then attended the official opening of Copenhagen 2021. It took place Copenhagen City Hall. Copenhagen is host of the event that included WorldPride and EuroGames. On that occasion, Copenhagen municipality hosted the reception at the City Hall. At the opening, representatives for the Danish LGBTI+ community participated. International activists, politicians and many more. So, Crown Princess Mary was in a great company at the opening.

At the arrival, she was welcomed by Lars Weiss, Mayor of the City of Copenhagen. Advocate for Copenhagen Pride Lars Henriksen also welcomed the Crown Princess with warm smiles. Copenhagen City Hall square worked as gathering point for different activities, entertainment and eating events. As patron for Copenhagen 2021, I guess the Crown Princess was glad to attend the official opening and get a glimpse of World Pride Square - the temporary name for Copenhagen City Hall square.

All dressed in red. I love when Mary wear monochrome outfits. Especially, colorful outfits like this. She embraced a wonderful red look by wearing one of her old Raquel Diniz dresses. A stunning pieces of clothes featuring incredible details. Everything about this dress is perfect for the occasion. Mary first wore this dress at a state visit in France in 2018 (here). At that time, she impressed everybody in her red dress. The same thing happened, when she wore it again the following year attending the celebration of Dannebrog's 800th anniversary (here).

Mary embraced the style with magnificent pieces of jewellery. The golden Rebekka Notkin earrings was first worn end of 2020. She has a necklace from the same collection as the earrings. Maybe she will wear both pieces some day? I hope so. We also get a tiny glimpse of her beloved necklaces from Dulong Fine Jewelry and Orit Elhanati. She also wore a couple of bracelets. One from Rebekka Notkin and another one from Cartier. I am sure you noticed her amazing diamond rings as well. A closer look revealed that they are Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen designs. The outstanding red suede pointed pumps are Gianvito Rossi. Mary completed her look with a lovely chignon and simple makeup.

Meeting with Élisabeth Moreno

17th August

Crown Princess Mary already had a busy day at the Human Rights Conference in Øksnehallen earlier that day (here). But in the afternoon she welcomed Élisabeth Moreno. She is the French Minister of Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities. I think she visited Copenhagen on occasion of Copenhagen 2021.

The meeting took place at Frederik VIIIs Palace at Amalienborg. The Coupe Prince Family's main home. I am sure Crown Princess Mary and Élisabeth Moreno had a great meeting. They are both dedicated and committed advocates for human rights, gender equality, diversity and equality in general.

When meeting with the French Minister of Equality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities Élisabeth Moreno Mary had chosen a brand new dark blue dress. I am almost intrigued by it. The fabric is outstanding. How it reflects and play with lights. So far, it has not been identified. Look at those puffed sleeves and that little collar. A stylish way to "love the 80s". The stunning blue belt is a reuse from Max Mara. I clearly remember, when Mary wore it with her white Mark Kenly Domino Tan dress in Paris 2019 (here).

As earlier at the Human Rights Conference, Mary wore her diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and two golden bangles from Rebekka Notkin. Impressive craftsmanship. I like how she matched several golden bangles in different sizes. Cartier is the designer of her third bracelet. Every piece speaks for itself. Even the fact that she wore almost "invisible" shoes - nude Christian Louboutin pumps. I adore when Mary wears a colors dress with nude shoes. Makes an expensive looking outfit.

Human Rights Conference 2021

17th August

The day before, Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of Human Rights Forum 2021 in the UN City in Copenhagen. On Tuesday, she attended the Human Rights Conference, which is part of the Human Rights Forum. The forum takes place from August 16th to 20th due to WorldPride and EuroGames. These events goes by the name Copenhagen 2021. All these events takes human rights to a whole other level.

The three day conference is all about connecting education with art, sports, culture, health and freedom to be who you are.

Crown Princess Mary arrived to Øksnehallen in Copenhagen Tuesday morning attend the conference. Shortly after a warm welcoming, the Crown Princess entered the stage and gave a remarkable speech. Truly, words are her strength. No doubt about that. You find her speech here.

It was as patron of Copenhagen 2021 that she gave her speech. She was not the only one to address the importance of human rights. Ann Linde, Minister of Foreign Affairs from Sweden and Minister of Culture and Equality from Norway Abid Raja also made their point of view known with some great speeches.

Hey! What is not to like? I am simply impressed, speechless and overwhelmed by Mary's outfit at the Human Rights Conference. The combination of those pink wide-legged trousers and that new white blouse are so beautiful. I would wear those 31 Philip Lim trousers right away if I had longer and slimmer legs. But nature wanted something else for me. Royal Fashion Police made me aware of the designer (here).  Mary belted her look with a little more gold. She has worn these trousers on one other occasion. It was for a birthday celebration for Queen Margrethe back in April. The new white blouse has been found by UFO No More at Britt Sisseck. Lovely design!

Mary accessorized her look with some pretty incredible jewellery. All golden pieces. The diamond earrings are old ones from Sophie Bille Brahe. She has already worn these on many occasions. The same goes with her golden Cartier bangle. Mary also wore two other golden bangles. They are both from talented Rebekka Notkin.

The stunning brown leather tote from Max Mara is new as well. For a long time, I have been looking for something like this. I adore Mary's tote bags, but somehow they are not that easy to find for those of us who do no have the same budget. I am still searching for the right one. Her magnificent pink suede pumps have been identify as her old Jimmy Choo pumps. Made me think: I do not wear colored pumps enough. Do you?

One month for Royal Run 2021

17th August

Royal Run was actually 'invented' as part of celebrating Crown Prince Frederik when he turned 50 a couple of years ago in 2018. It was indeed a huge success. The following year, they repeated the success and that made the decision easy: in 2020 Royal Run would takes place again. Due to the worldwide pandemic the run has been postponed on several occasions. But now is the time. Royal Run 2020 is only one month away and like many other Danes, the Crown Prince Couple are getting ready to participate the run.

Prince Vincent captured his parents, when out for a run in the castle park surrounding Fredenborg. Little Grace enjoyed the run as well. The young Prince also took a few photos of the Crown Prince Couple to mark the soon to be, Royal Run.

Both Crown Prince Frederik and his wife, were perfectly dressed for the little workout in Fredensborg park. Both in blue and both in each their Royal Run t-shirt. Each runner participating the run will have their very own shirt. Mary style her shirt with a pair of new blue running tights from 1 DAYS Active and trainers from Asics. She seems especially fond of these shoes for her workouts. On a number of occasion, Mary has worn these trainers for sporty activities. Like, when she participated a run in Morocco in 2019. It was as part of the opening of the Youth Dialogue Festival.

Mary also loves wearing caps, when she is out for a run. This lovely green cap is from Cavalleria Toscana - also brand new. At least it is the first time we see her wear "in public". A couple of years ago, Mary found her new love for Kknakki hairbands. She wore one for her run in Fredenborg along with her husband.

A closer look revealed that she embraced a more chic exercise-look than the most of us because she style her outfit with her beloved Cartier bangle and a necklace from Dulong Fine Jewelry. I would not mind looking like this for my next run.

Opening of Human Rights Forum 2021

16th August

After a long holiday with the rest of her family, Crown Princess Mary was back at work again. She started an exciting week by attending the opening of Human Rights Forum. The forum is a part of WorldPride and EuroGames. All three LGBTI+ events goes by the name Copenhagen 2021. Human Rights Forum is hosted by both Copenhagen 2021 and UNFPA.

Crown Princess Mary attended as patron of the United Nations Population Fund - also known as UNFPA and Copenhagen 2021. She arrived to the UN City in Copenhagen around 3pm local time. She was warmly welcomed by, among others, UN Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director of UNFPA Dr. Natalia Kanem and Minister for Development Cooperation and Minister for Nordic Cooperation Flemming Møller Mortensen.

Human Rights Forum was all about human rights and the inclusion of LGBTI+ people. The Crown Princess beautifully made that part of her speech. She had the honor of giving the opening speech. A speech full of love, commitment and hope. Especially, love gives life fully meaning according to the Crown Princess. We should all have the right to find love and be loved. You find her speech here.

After her own speech, Crown Princess Mary closed followed a few panel debates from front raw. I guess, it was with open ears and eyes that she attended the debates. This is truly a topic close to her heart: we all have the right to belong. We all have the right to be heard.

Crown Princess Mary also had a more personal meeting with Executive Director for UNFPA Natalia Kanem and her team. They met at Amalienborg to discuss UNFPA's work on, among other things, COVID-19 and its impact on the organizations work locally and globally. Human rights were also on the agenda. Crown Princess Mary was accompanied by Christine Pii Hansen, her private secretary.

According to the royal court, Deputy Executive Director Ib Petersen, Chief, UNFPA Resource Mobilization Branch Klaus Simoni-Pedersen, Chief, Nordic Office, UNFPA Pernille Fenger and Senior Adviser in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jane Werngreen Rosales also participated the meeting with the Crown Princess.

Many of us loves jumpsuits, but somehow we do not like to admit it. Well, at least we 'forget' to wear them. Jumpsuits are so lovely! They can be comfortable. Easy to style. Perfect for almost every occasion possible. We differently need to embrace jumpsuits and Mary gives us a clue on how.

She looked smashing wearing that bright blue YDE Copenhagen suit. She has worn it a few times before. Twice, actually. First, when she attended a reception in addition to Women Deliver in 2016 (here). Later that same year, Mary showed us how to wear it another way. It was when visiting the United States in September 2016 (here). Finally, she wear it again!

This time, she embraced the style with a simple blue belt. A perfect colormatch. The colorpalet was all blue and gold. A match made in heaven. I love this colorcombo. I read that her pointed suede Gianvito Rossi pumps are a reuse, but somehow I cannot manage to recall when she has ever worn these before. I know she has quite a few pairs of blue pointed shoes made of suede, but these still look new to me. Can you enlighten me? Her leather handbag, on the other hand, is indeed a reuse. A lovely reuse. This Prada tote is truly one of Mary's favorite handbags.

As jewellery, she wore golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry featuring small diamonds. Looks really great with the rest of her look and others jewellery. Especially, the golden Cartier bangle and that little golden ring of hers. I see that I do not quite agree on one of her others bracelets. To me, it looks like Mary was wearing two diamond bangles from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. One in white gold and one in yellow gold.

Meeting with Executive Director for UNFPA Natalia Kanem, Mary embraced the same lovely outfit expect one little detail: she was wearing other shoes. At the opening of Human Rights Forum she wore navy blue suede pumps and at the Amalienborg-meeting, Mary wore nude Prada pumps. Amazing how much one single detail can change everything. Do you prefer the blue or nude ones?

First day at Herlufsholm

10th August

It was indeed a big day for the young and handsome Prince Christian. On August 10th, he started his three years a the gymnasium Herlufsholm. A boarding school in Næstved. He is to enter their health and nutrition department. His older cousin, Prince Nikolai, just graduated from Herlufsholm so he know all about how it is to both live there and study there.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary shared the day along with their oldest son, who is now living away from their family home. As any other parents, I guess it was a huge day for both of them. Their first born is now confirmated, moved and entering the gymnasium. The royal court shared a few new photos of the Prince and his parents from his first day at Herlufsholm.

Mary looked all proved next to her big son and husband. She had chosen to wear a brand new dress for the occasion. A blue, v-neck dress featuring what looks like a white leaf print. A bit 90s vibe or is it just me? I had really no idea, were to find this beautiful dress. Heaven was way more lucky than I. She was able to identify the dress as Miræ Paris.

In a way, I wish she was wearing wedges for this dress. That would be a lovely combination. A dress like this takes wedges with perfection. Mary is often seen wearing heels also in private. That is why I guess she was also wearing some for this special occasion. But I would not be surprised if she more casual heeled sandals or as I mentioned, wedges.

She also embraced the style by wearing a few pieces of stunning golden jewellery. First I noticed her rather huge Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings. Looked great! The longer necklace are from the same talented designer. Meanwhile, the other golden necklace is from Orit Elhanati. One of her most beloved necklaces probably of all times. I see a few rings too (or maybe just one), but the photo is too blurry for me to identify these rings.

Yet another thing that caught my mind is how long her hair has become. Some photo from their vacation have appear and they really show how long Mary's hair is at the moment. I do not think we have ever seen it this long. I like it. Do you?
