Day 1.

Official visit in New York and North Carolina

23 October 2023

Crown Princess Mary will spend three days abroad. More specifically, she will be visiting New York and here participate in the celebrating on the UN-day and a number of events to promote the Danish commitment in UN Security Council.

She arrived Monday and in the evening, the Crown Princess attended the reception "The Coalition on Addressing Sea-level rise & Existential Threats". The reception took place at the Danish UN-Mission in New York.

The Crown Princess gave the opening speech (here). She enhanced the importance of discussing the constant climate changes and why we need to find specific solutions on how to handle these changes.

When attending the reception at UN-Mission in New York Monday evening, Mary looked absolutely stunning wearing a brand new ba&sh floral printed dress. I really adore the square neckline. It emphasizes her face beautifully. She matched it with a recused black Harris Wharf London blazer. Not one of my favorite blazers worn with dresses because of the length. Nevertheless, Mary wore it with such elegance.

She embraced the style with old (!) custom-made earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. A pair of earrings that has followed her for years. The Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces seems to have become her most beloved pieces of jewellery right now.

Rebekka Notkin is the designer of her solid golden bracelet and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen created two of her diamond rings.

Look closely and you will see that Mary also styled the outfit with a reused Carlend Copenhagen clutch and Gianvito Rossi sling-back pumps.

PART 5.

Prince Christian's 18th birthday

15 October 2023

Quite a while ago, it was announced that Queen Margrethe would host a grand gala dinner for her grandchild taking place at Christiansborg. It was decided that young people from all over the country would be attending as well as famous artists to make it "party of the year".

Family and friends were also invited. Royals from near and far also attended Prince Christian's first gala. Including Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette Marit and their daughter Princess Ingrid Alexandra. Crown Princess Victoria her husband Prince Daniel and daughter Princess Estelle were also present at the dinner.

Crown Princess Mary's sister Jane Stephens and husband Craig Stephens were also invited such as her two niches Ms Cherie Coppin and Ms Michelle Donaldson (here). They are the daughter's of John Donaldson - Crown Princess Mary's brother.

Did you have any dress in mind for her to wear at the gala dinner? I had no idea what to expect. Maybe I had hoped for a reused dress accessorized with something never-seen-before. Something surprising. Like a brooch worn as a hairpin. Nevertheless, she looked stunning at her son's grand party.

Mary wore her beloved embellished bespoke Jesper Høvring gown. She embraced the style of her midnight blue evening gown with her wedding tiara. It was a wedding gift from her parents-in-law. Later on, Mary made it a bit more "adjustable" by adding removable pearls. A lovely match with the large diamond earrings purchased at a Bruun Rasmussen auction.

We also get a glimpse of a Halberstadt necklace and NEW JEWELLERY! Look at that diamond bracelet and ring featuring those huge (!) blue stones. Wonder if she inherited the set or if it is her latest purchase?

She perfectly styled the outfit with a reused blue satin Prada clutch and smashing Gianvito Rossi pointed pumps.

PART 4.

Prince Christian's 18th birthday

15 October 2023

We have already been spoiled with so much the last couple of days and it continues. This noon, Prince Christian showed at the balcony of Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg along with his family. He was surrounded by the people who love him the most. Parents, siblings and grandmother.

Hundreds of Danes showed up at the Amalienborg square to get a glimpse of the family and (of course) the birthday boy himself. It was wonderful to see all of them together. Just look at the Crown Prince Couple. They are indeed proud of their firstborn.

The royal court also published new official photos on occasion of Prince Christian's birthday (here). Photographer Dennis Stenild captured yet another magical moment in the life of Danish royal family.

The day we first got a glimpse of the Prince a couple of days after his birth and when he was christened, Mary wore blue outfits. So did she when celebrating her firstborn on his 18th birthday. Mary wore her bespoke Søren Le Schmidt dress. She first wore it back in 2020 when attending Flag Day (here). The dress is so well-fitted and looks beautiful on her!

This time, Mary had chosen to embrace the style of her blue dreamy dress with large diamond earrings purchased at a Bruun Rasmussen auction and a couple of golden necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. Look closely and you will see two Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond rings.

Her stunning Connaught sapphire brooch is a present from Queen Margrethe to her daughter-in-law given to her birth of Prince Christian in 2005. Mary also wore it at his christening (here).

Mary completed her magnificent outfit with smashing reused Gianvito Rossi python pumps.

PART 3.

Prince Christian's 18th birthday

15 October 2023

A very warm "HAPPY BIRTHDAY Prince Christian" from all of us at Style of Mary!

The day we have all been waiting for. Prince Christian can celebrate his 18th birthday. We have already been celebrating him for the last couple of days with both a brand new documentary (here) and the family shared some photos from their private albums (here).

And the celebration is not over yet. This morning, the royal family shared a new photo of the Prince taken by his mother, Crown Princess Mary.

Later, this noon he will show at the balcony at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg along with his closest family and tonight Queen Margrethe will host a wonderful gala for her grandson.

The Order of the Elephant

On occasion of his 18th birthday, Prince Christian also received Denmark's most prestiges order - the Order of the Elephant. Normally, it is never told who you "inherit" the order from but this time they made an exception. Because Prince Christian actually inherited his grandfathers order. Now, Prince Henrik will live on close to his grandson.

PART 2.

Prince Christian's 18th birthday

14 October 2023

Tomorrow, Prince Christian will celebrate his 18th birthday. A documentary has already been published by DR (Denmark's Radio) on his way to become the next official representative of Denmark (here).

The Crown Prince Couple celebrated the forthcoming birthday of their oldest child with photographic treasured from their own photo album! What a treat.

I tried to identify as many of her outfits as possible. Have fun.

PART 1.

Prince Christian's 18th birthday

13 October 2023

We're counting down to celebrating Prince Christian on his big day - when he turns 18!

I am probably not the only one who remember the day he was born eighteen years ago. The day Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary welcomed their firstborn child. The Crown Prince happily shared the news shortly after his little prince was born at Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen (here). A few days later, the family left the hospital to go home (here).

On occasion of Prince Christian's birthday, a new documentary "Prince Christian - a royal journey" has been published by DR (Denmark's Radio) (here). The young prince is accompanied by his father throughout the journey.

BUPL's 50th anniversary

&

Meeting with Crown Princess Mary Center's Advisory Committee

12 October 2023

It was quite a day for Crown Princess Mary who first attended the grand celebration of BUPL's 50th anniversary (here). The celebration took place in Pædagogernes House in Copenhagen.

BUPL is a trade union and social security fund for educators in Denmark.

Crown Princess Mary attended the anniversary as Chairman of the Mary Foundation. She also gave a beautiful speech remembering the importance of relations and communities for children.

Then followed a meeting with the Crown Princess Mary Center's Advisory Committee (here). The committee members meet twice a year to advise the Crown Princess Mary Center on partnership and development opportunities.

At the meeting was discusses questions like: How do you combine good documentation and good care in nursing homes? How can we increase our knowledge of "digital violence" in the home? How do heat waves affect the humanitarian work of Danish organisations?

Mary looked lovely in her old dark green Massimo Dutti suit. The color is smashing and suits her dark hair and fair skin with such perfection. Green has also become my favorite color this fall. Which is yours? Mary matched the suit with a simple plain white blouse. I think it is new but really, she has so many similar white blouses like this. Any ideas?

What else then embracing the style with matching green studded pumps from Valentino? Love when she wears color-like outfits. Makes it look even more complete. Gives her outfits such a polished glance. The exclusive brown leather handbag is an old one from MaxMara. The glasses are Gucci.

As jewellery, Mary had chosen golden ones. Earrings from Orit Elhanati and a couple of necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. The rather large ring on her right hand is a custom-made piece from Dulong Fine Jewelry. She has two similar rings as well with different stones.

Danish Hospital Clowns at Bispebjerg

05 October 2023

The Crown Princess visits the Danish Hospital Clowns at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Center at Bispebjerg Hospital.

She was accompanied by the Hospital Clowns Basta and Bella Bindestreg. Look like they truly enjoyed the day together.

The Crown Princess and her two "associates" also paid a visit to some patients and their co-hospitalized parents at B102, which is for children and young people to they age of 18 who are being examined and treated in an intensive course for a severe eating disorder and possibly also another psychiatric diagnosis.

My favorite time a year is by definition autumn. I love every single thing about it - also the rainy and windy days. The fashion during autumn is magical. Finally, Mary has embraced warmer earthly colors. They match her fair skin and dark hair really well.

When visiting the Danish Hospital Clowns at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Center at Bispebjerg Hospital, she glittered like a star in a brand new burgundy Harris Wharf London blazer, a stylish reused Polo Ralph Lauren trousers and a simple white t-shirt. What is not to like?

When looking at details we find that Mary actually wore quite a lot of jewellery. Three necklaces from Halberstadt, Julie Sandlaud and a new custom-made one from Dulong Fine Jewelry. They are also the creator of one of her golden bracelets. The delicate diamond ring is Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

I was never really a fan of those Malone Souliers. Mainly because I would never know how to style them myself. Mary does. Now, I can't see this outfit with any other shoes.

Opening of the Parliament 2023

03 October 2023

Every year on the first Tuesday in October, members of the Danish Parliament are gathered at Christiansborg to attend the opening of a new parliamentary year.

At this years opening, Queen Margrethe was accompanied by Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary and her beloved sister Princess Benedikte. Together, all attended the opening in the grand Parliamentary Hall at Christiansborg in Copenhagen (here).

I am crazy in love with these annual events. Love to compare outfits year after year. I am stunned about her outfit this year. She is so classy and elegant in that bespoke Mark Kenly Domino Tan dress. Mary first wore it in 2018 on an official business promotion visit in Italy (here). Later worn in Paris in 2019 (here) and then again in 2021 (here).

At the opening, Mary had chosen to wear the magical dress with black accessories - belt, hat, gloves, clutch and shoes. Her hat is a Susanne Juul creation. Look at that design! Sight. The details are exquisite. Mary matched the hat with a leather fold-over clutch from Diane von Furstenberg and smashing Gianvito Rossi pointed pumps.

Everything is classic about this outfit, which is why I also why I adore her wearing white pearl earrings. These are from Annikat. A wonderful combo with her beloved Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces and Dulong Fine Jewelry pearl bracelet. Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen is the master behind one of her diamond rings.

"General Housing Days 2023"

30 September 2023

Just before entering October, Crown Princess Mary attended (along with the Mary Foundation) the conference "General Housing Days 2023" (here).

The conference is arranged by BL - Denmark's General Housing. It took place at Tivoli Hotel in Copenhagen.

The Crown Princess was accompanied by CEO of the Mary Foundation Helle Østergaard. They were warmly welcomed by Chairman of BL Allan Werge and his associate Vinie Hansen.

In her opening speech, Crown Princess Mary highlighted the importance of the initiatives that help to strengthen the community and create close relationships are crucial in combating loneliness.

I am not quite sure I haven chosen this outfit this time a year, but Mary owned it with perfection. Wonder if she wasn't cold? Nevertheless, she looked absolutely magnificent in her old many year old Elise Gug blouse and navy/white potted Baum und Pferdgarden midi skirt. The skirt is also a reuse. Beautiful!

Mary embraced the style by wearing golden jewellery. Custom-made earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. A diamond studded Rebekka Notkin ring and a wavy cuff from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

She also matched her outfit with a quality leather clutch from Quidam and brand new Valentino slingback pumps. I am in heaven about these new pumps. Please, wear them with trousers one day.

The Army's Medal of Honor Dinner

26 September 2023

Every year, Queen Margrethe host a very special dinner. One year for the Navy, the next for the Army and then one following year for the Air Force. It is a way for the Queen to thank and honor those servering Denmark.

This year it was time to honor employees of the Army. Employees who served 25 years in the Danish Defence. The Army's Medal of Honor dinner took place at Fredensborg (here).

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary also attended the prestiges dinner.

Mary first wore this incredible evening gown and matching jacket back in January 2019 at the Navy's Medal of Honor dinner (here). It is a bespoke set for females of the Danish Defences. Just as the men wear a special uniform for events like these, this has become the women's uniform. Mary also wore her uniform decorated with her medal's and the Order of the Elephant.

She beautifully styled her uniform with delicate earrings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and fine heckles from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. We also get a glimpse of a reused hair comb from Ellen Hunter. She has a matching one in silver.

Mary first wore this golden hair comb in 2013, when attending CHIO Equestrian Festival along with Princess Benedikte (here).

As other accessories, she had chosen an old black box clutch from Louis Vuitton and shiny golden Manolo Blahnik nappa leather pumps.
