Day 2. Official State Visit to Australia

March 15, 2026

Sunset over Uluṟu

The royal couple started their day by visiting Muṯitjulu Waterhole in Uluṟu to watch the beautiful sunset. A personal guide shared the experience with King Frederik and Queen Mary while sharing informations and stories from the area.

In the morning hours the couple looked liked any other tourists admiring the sunset. The King flashed an army printed hat, hiking boots and a back pack with (supposedly) supplies for the walk. His wife matched his style with perfection: a messy knot in a cap, linen shorts and practical walking boots.

I love their "undercover" outfits!

Arriving in Canberra

King Frederik and Queen Mary then arrived in Canberra. They were warmly welcomed at the Government House by Sam Mostyn, the Governor-General of Australia and spouse Simeon Beckett. As part of the welcoming, the couple participated a traditional some ceremony.

I was in love with the couple when they visited the Muṯitjulu Waterhole in Uluṟu. They blended in like it was the most easy thing in the world - if it wasn't for the many photographers and journalists...

When arriving in Canberra, Mary had changed to one of her stunning floral printed dressed in Zimmermann. It is not my favorite dress though I adore the bright color! Because of the smashing color and I think it is great that she chose rather neutral Gianvito Rossi pumps.

Like the woman performing the smoke ceremony, Mary was too beautifully bejewelled wearing jewellery from both Rebekka Notkin, Orit Elhanati, Dulong Fine Jewelry and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Some of the finest jewellery designers were have in Denmark.

Official welcoming ceremony in Canberra

King Frederik and Queen Mary were also welcomed in Canberra with at an official ceremony at the Government House. The gathering were hosted by the Governor-General of Australia Sam Mostyn and her spouse Simeon Beckett.

A second welcoming ment a second (or third) outfit suited for the occasion. Mary had chosen a brand new floral printed set from Claes Iversen. It's a couture design from 2016 which tells us that fashion never goes out of style.

The weather was wonderful. Warm and sunny. Mary's color-palette was really well-chosen. The dusty blue head piece matched both the reused LIN8 clutch and the blue sky. Her summery look was topped of with beige pointed leather from Prada.

Gala dinner at the Government House

It has already been a fantastic day. We are so spoiled. Just look at all those incredible outfits. Can it get any better? Apparently, yes.

In the evening, the Governor-General of Australia Sam Mostyn and spouse Simeon Beckett hosted a gala dinner at the Government House in honor of the King and Queen's visit. Both King Frederik and Sam Mostyn gave a speech at the dinner.

Mary truly looked like a star on a starry night. Her amazing evening gown is a reused and altered Jesper Høvring creation. It goes back to the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling in 2010. I am truly a fan of the original design but I the added golden top/sleeve. Makes it even more glamorous.

Like it wasn't enough: she wore stunning jewellery from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and a fine bracelet that once belonged to Crown Princess Lovisa.

The Psychiatric Fundation 30th Anniversary

February 25, 2026

More than 20 years have pasted since the Queen first entered as patron for the Psychiatric Foundation. On February 25th, she attended the foundation's 30th anniversary at a wonderful celebration at Moltkes Palace in Copenhagen.

Queen Mary truly represented the foundation with style when attending the anniversary. She looked great in her reused navy blue Red Valentino embellished dress, Prada belt and bright yellow Manolo Blahnik pumps. Why am I alway this thrilled when she wears colored shoes? I also loved that little trick with a matching yellow satin YSL clutch. Even the Annikat earrings embraced a little yellow.

When given a speech on occasion of the anniversary, the Queen put on a pair of dusty rose glasses. I'm yet to identify them.

30 Danish artists participated a very special exhibition taking place as part of the anniversary. They had each created an original elephant sculpture - an artwork and subject to start a conversation.

Day 2. Official State Visit to Lithuania

January 29, 2026

Queen Mary looked amazing in her long woolen skirt and soft bordeaux blouse when spending yet another day in Lithuania. She first wore the Max Mara skirt last year when visiting Latvia. Back then she also matched the beautiful skirt with the color of bordeaux. In Lithuania, Mary embraced the look wearing a brand new The Fold London blouse.

The Presidential Couple accompanied the King and Queen when they paid a vist at the Danish-Lithuanian business forum and later at the wreath-laying ceremony at Antakalnis Cemetery. At the cemetery, Mary stayed warm in a reused coat from Uniqlo and a beautiful green Harris Wharf London coat.

Later in the afternoon, the royal couple visited the NBA Basketball School in Vilnius. They joined a training session and for that Mary had changed to a lovely navy blue turtleneck and black Gianvito Rossi boots. Here we also got a better look at her diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and golden Dulong Fine Jewelry ring. It also showed the best of the brown Celine belt.

I'm sure you noticed her changing boots along they way. The soft light brown boots are old ones from Valentino. My all-time favorite boots of hers.

Official Opening of "Friends in Need"

What is not to like? Mary won my vote for best-dressed at the official opening of the "Friends in Need"-exhibition. They Presidential Couple joined the King and Queen at the opening at the National Library of Lithuania. The exhibition is in honor of the friendship between Denmark and Lithuania.

Mary wore the most beautiful white Andiata suit paired with a reused dusty pink blouse which (unfortunately) has never been identified. The combination of colors and materials are exquisite. The soft curly hairdo added an extra glimpse of glamour to her look. So did the smashing new Julie Sandlau earrings. I'm pretty sure she wore a ring as well but I'm not sure which one.

When the couple arrived at the National Library of Lithuania Mary (once again) wore her fine Harris Wharf London coat. She completed the outfit with stunning beige pointed Prada pumps.

Day 1. Official state visit to Estonia

January 27, 2026

You may have noticed my absence the last couple of months. Apologies. I'll try to catch up with everything that has happened since end of January.

On January 27th, the King and Queen arrived in Estonia to attend a two-days official state visit. The royal couple were officially welcomed in Tallinn by President of Estonia, Alar Karis and the First Lady, Sirje Karis at the City Hall Square.

The Presidential Couple accompanied King Frederik and Queen Mary when paying their respect at the Monument to the War of Independence. They also visited the Memorial of the Victims of Communism.

Later on, the royal couple met with the Prime Minister of Estonia and Speaker of the Estonian Parliament.

I always loved a good old tweed fabric. The woven texture is one of my personal favourites. Mary's beautiful new dress is created by Danish tailor Lasse Spangenberg. The detailing are simply amazing. I don't even have to comment further. Have a look and admire the splendid work of his. Her fine coat is a reuse from Max Mara.

Her new headpiece is by Danish milliner Katrin Cecilia Jacobsen. On her social media she posted the headpiece in-the-making. What a treat! Turns out fabric from the dress is braided in with navy blue silk.

I'm sure you noticed the stunning sapphire and diamond brooch. It is called the vandflodsbrochen or the flood sapphire brooch. The brooch is part of the Danish Royal Property Trust and once belonged to Queen Marie Sophie Frederikke - wife of Frederik VI. It is dated back to around 1840.

Mary then accessorized her outfit with a chic brown leather handbag from Anya Hindmach. Her fine dark blue suede boots are new ones from Gianvito Rossi.

State Banquet in St. Nicholas Church

After a long day, the King and Queen were invited as guest of honor to attend a concert and state banquet in St. Nicholas Church. The events were hosted by the Presidential Couple.

This is exactly what I needed! Mary looked absolutely smashing at the evening events in her floor-length gown. It is told to be from Prada but I've never seen or read any evidence of that claim which is why I only share what I've heard. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful gown.

She matched it with huge diamond earrings purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction some years back. Don't know about you but I was thrilled to see her wedding tiara. Especially with her flowing soft curly hair.

Mary also embraced the style with a beloved old satin box clutch from Prada and fine matching pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

"Together without Violence - Pregnant"

January 20, 2026

Queen Mary visited Holbæk Hospital celebrating the expansion of the Mary Foundation project Together without Violence - Pregnant. The program is now also introduced to all of Region Sjælland.

Together with Violence - Pregnant aim to train more midwives and professionals in the healthcare system to systematically screen couple expecting a child for among others domestic violence.

The Queen also attended a roundtable meeting and joined a midwives' training day.

I do like her outfit from when she visited Holbæk Hospital: the fine grey JOSEPH trousers and her old navy blue Prada blouse, but I really miss her wearing dresses and skirts. The recent years, she has become fond of suits and trousers. Her chic coat is from Arma.

She gave a speech at the visit wearing her Gucci glasses. We haven't seen those black south sea pearl earrings for quite some time. They are crafted by talented jewellery designer Dulong Fine Jewelry. Her matching pearl bracelet is from the same designer. Meanwhile, the golden cuff is a Rebekka Notkin masterpiece.

Mary also embraced the look with a reused Prada belt and a beloved navy blue leather handbag from Prada. Her grey suede heeled boots have been quite a mystery but now they have been identified as Ralph Lauren.

"Inside the walls"

January 14, 2026

They play "Inside the Walls" by Henri Nathansens was first performed in 1912 on the Old Stage at The Royal Theatre. Since then it has been performed more than 500 times.

On Wednesday evening, Queen Mary was invited to watch the famous play. Actress Fridamarie B. Cauchi welcomed the Queen when she arrived to the repremiere.

Anyone other than me who adore her purple velvet suit? The fabric and color takes it to a completely other level. It is the first time she wears it with a black blouse. This one is new and from Prada. I actually really like the sheer black blouse with the suit.

Mary matched the embellished blouse with suede rivet pumps from Gianvito Rossi and a Ralph Lauren clutch. We hadn't seen the clutch for years when she wore it again on December 15th 2025. Many of you didn't know about. I was able to identify it quite a few years ago but all by accident.

The dusty rose diamond earrings and rather huge amethyst ring were a wonderful addition to the rest of her outfit.

Christmas church service

December 24, 2025

Christmas Eve

King Frederik and Queen Mary were accompanied by all four children when attended Christmas church service. Usually, they attended these Christmas church services at Aarhus Cathedral but this year the family enjoyed the evening at Vor Frue church in Copenhagen.

Mary looked great in her stunning orange Max Mara coat! Love it when she wears colorful clothings like this beautiful coat. Mary first wore the coat when visiting Holstebro to celebrate the city's 750th anniversary in 2024. We even had a glimpse of what she was wearing underneath. Turns out to be her Oscar de la Renta dress. It is the same dress that she wore on Christmas Eve in 2021.

The elegant white pearl earrings are rather new ones from Dulong Fine Jewelry but she already worn a number of times. Her black Mulberry handbag was a great addition to the classy outfit. The Prada boots we haven't seen in quite awhile. I love that she bring back all these old accessories.

Christmas Day

King Frederik and Queen Mary also attended a church service on Christmas Day. The church service took place at Vor Frue Church in Copenhagen. Both Crown Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine accompanied their parents.

Grey wide-legged trousers and a simple turtleneck jumper. What is not to like. I kinda fancy the light grey trousers with a darker top. The Harris Wharf London coat made it even more stylish. Mary accessorized the outfit with matching reused heeled boots. I have never been able to identify them. Maybe one day.

Her fine black leather handbag is the same worn as the previous day. It is from Mulberry. Looks great with the black leather gloves. The diamond earrings are from Sophie Bille Brahe.

A look back at 2025 with the Mary Foundation

December 18, 2025

“Christmas is just around the corner, and a new year is soon to come. It gives us an opportunity to take a look back at the year that has passed. There will be both bright and less bright moments." - Queen Mary

The Queen took the opportunity to look back at another year with the Mary Foundation. What has happened the past year, achievements and what's the focus in 2026.

From what she is wearing I guess the new photos were taken when she hosted a Christmas reception at Frederik VIII's Palace earlier this month. The reception is a tradition guested by the Mary Foundation's partners.

Mary wore a beautiful jumper from Chloé and a crazy satin leopard midi skirt. I never ever thought Mary would be wearing a leopard printed skirt - till she did. I am not sure it's my kinda style but it looks great with the jumper.

I'm amazed by her new blue beaded necklace! It's a stunning creation and looks perfect with the two-tone earrings. Both earrings and necklace are unidentified.

Queen Mary also took part in several different official events during the day. She both met with the President of Kenya, Dr. Wiliam Samoei Ruto at the UN headquarters and attended a high-level event with the United Nations Environment Assembly. The Queen gave the opening speech.

When meeting the President of Kenya, Mary changed to wear a fine dotted Prada dress. It is a reuse first seen in Paris in 2021. This time she matched it with beige python pumps from Gianvito Rossi. About now, they have traveled the world and seen Nigeria, Belgium, Japan and now Kenya. A clever choice to wear her beige Prada handbag. Great combo, right?

Mary embraced the look with white pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a couple of golden bracelets from the same designer. Her diamond studded bracelet is an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen creation. The massive gold one is Rebekka Notkin.

Reception

TEKST

Queen Mary took part in an official reception hosted by the Danish Embassy in Kenya.

What a dreamy outfit Mary wore at the evening reception at the Danish Embassy! The stunning blouse is a design by Jesper Høvring. I kinda like the combo of the colors. The skirt is a reused - I guess it could be tailored, but I still don't know where it is from.

Mary matched the outfit with an old bronze clutch from Mulberry. I was thrilled to see her wear an old goodie like this. I'm even more amazed to see the peep-toe pumps from Christian Louboutin. I really missed these pieces. We haven't seen them in years.

Another piece I'm almost shocked to see is the custom-made necklace from Ali Al Awssi. Mary first wore this necklace in 2004! Her diamond studded bracelet is Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and the earrings are from Louise Grønlykke. Seem like she had them altered. I like the shorter version.

Day 1. Official visit to Kenya

December 10, 2025

Queen Mary arrived yesterday in Nairobi to attend a three-day official visit to Kenya. She is traveling as patron of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The visit will focus on the collaboration between Denmark and Kenya in areas of environmental protection, renewable energy and climate action.

She spent her first day in Kilifi Country- the South East part of Kenya.

Before going to the Arabuko Sokoke Forest (the largest remaining coastal forest in East Africa), the Queen met with Gideon Maitha Mung'aro, the Gonvernor of Kilifi Country.

Mary is known to wear these printed Heartmade Julie Fagerholt blouses when abroad on visits like these. She first wore this one when on a work visit in Mozambique with UNFPA 2012. It looked great paired with those soft beige trousers and the dark brown leather belt. When meeting with the the Gonvernor of Kilifi Country, Mary also wore a fine blue blazer.

Mary style the casual outfit with a brand new Aiayu cap and Ray Ban sunglasses. We haven't seen the Orit Elhanati necklace for quite a while. A few years back she wore it all the time. I kinda missed it. Looks beautiful with the colorful beaded Dulong Fine Jewelry necklace.

She changed from a pair of Prada ballet flats to Salomon walking boots when going into the rainforest.

Official visit to Kenya

December 09, 2025

Queen Mary has arrived in Kenya a day ahead of a three-day official visit. While staying in Kenya she will be attending different events to strengthen the collaboration between Denmark and Kenya in environmental protection, renewable energy and climate action.

When arriving in Nairobi at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, she was warmly welcomed by Prime Cabinet Secretary and Minister of Foreign Affairs Musalia Mudavadi and Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife Rebecca Miano.

I always loved her travel-style. It is casual and comfortable yet super chic! I'm so inspired to try something similar and she makes it easy with these unofficial outfits.

When arriving in Kenya, Mary wore a brand new white lace blouse from The Fold London. She styled it with a reused blue blazer and fine wide-legged trousers. I think the blazer is a bit too long for the high-rise trousers but I like the matching colors.

Mary embraced the outfit with a beloved Prada handbag, Tom Ford glasses and white pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Wish I was able to tell you where her new leopard flats are from but I'm completely lost trying to identify them. Do you like them?

Christmas reception at Frederik VIII's Palace

December 05, 2025

Every year, Queen Mary host a Christmas reception for the Mary Foundation's præsidium to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and as a way to show her gratitude for another year of collaboration.

The reception to place at Amalienborg. They enjoyed a cup of glögg and æbleskiver while small talking.

"People need people" - the Mary Foundation

This had to be the most crazy outfit ever worn at a Christmas reception. Usually Mary wears something simple and classy like a figure-hugging dress or a suit. This year she matched velvet with leopard print, lace and knit. Pretty cool combo.

Her fine jumper is a reuse from Cholé. So is the leopard skirt. It has never been identified - nor do I know if I like the shiny fabric. Still it is a great outfit.

Mary embraced the style with a brand new blue beaded necklace and matching earrings. Non of this have been identified. I'm all ears to hear what you think. I also see a diamond ring and butterfly brooch. She was even wearing brand new velvet pumps from Prada!

I know you love when Mary is rewearing old clothes and accessories. This suit is a perfect example. Mary first wore her Dolce & Gabbana suit for a business promotion visit in London in September 2004, which makes it more than 20 years old! Impressive, right? At the launch she wore the pinstriped suit with a simple black turtleneck.

Mary accessorized the look with a reused Prada handbag and chic ankle boots from Gianvito Rossi. I missed the bag. We haven't seen it for quite a while. A true Prada classics. The diamond earrings and rings were a beautiful detail with the rather plain outfit. She wore Tom Ford glasses when given her speech.

Not quite sure I would have chosen the same combo of blouse, coat and trousers as she did when visiting the hostel in Copenhagen. Still, I like the idea of an outfit. Maybe just another blouse or trousers? I do like the dark green jumper and wide-legged trousers. Makes a great silhouette. I am always a bit confused when Mary wears these long coats with trousers. This one is a reuse from Arma. Her blue belt is from Prada.

Mary accessorized the outfit with fine golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a diamond ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The stunning Christmas tree brooch caught everone's eyes. Day 2. UN Climate Conference 'COP30'

November 12, 2025

Queen Mary already spent her first day in the city of Belém in Brazil by visiting the production site Ilha do Combu and attending welcoming reception at the Hangar where COP30 is hosted.

On November 12th, she first paid a visit to the research institute Embrapa, which is top of its league in agriculture, sustainability and forestry. Later on, she visited the African pavilion also attending the climate conference. The cultural center in Utinga Park also had the delightful pleasure of her visit.

You know I love when she is wearing colors. The more, the better. This is also why I really like her outfit on November 12th. Pretty sure her orange trousers are old ones but never identified. Love the detail with a matching (new) belt. It is from Seed Heritage. Beautiful combo of different materials. Her beloved white linen blouse is Bagutta.

As accessories Mary had chosen stunning Louise Grønlykke earrings. Only seen a couple of times before. The same story goes with the Dulong Fine Jewelry necklace. Pieces we have only seen a few times. I never really made up my mind with the necklace. Do you like this type of design?

She changed shoes from a pair of beloved Prada ballet flats to chic brown leather sandals from Gianvito Rossi. Mary has become very fond of these heeled sandals. We get it, right?

Dinner at Mercado de São Brás

Queen Mary was accompanied by the Brazilian First Lady Rosângela da Silva when attending dinner at the Marcado de São Brás. They attended as guests of honor. The president of COP30, Director-General of the UN Environment Programme Inger Andersen also took part in the dinner such as specially invited guests.

The dinner was to show how a project between Denmark Brazil work with sustainable gastronomy. It gathers chefs, farmers and local actors with a focus on biodiversity, local ingredients and food culture.

Mary looked absolutely magnificent at the dinner at Marcado de São Brás! Her stunning printed dress is a reused from Etro. She first wore the dress for a private dinner at Wayfair Club Oswald in 2023. It is also the same dress as worn for a reception on Dannebrog last year.

In Brazil, Mary accessorized the fine dress with brand new earrings - perhaps a gift? A closer look will show that Mary had also chosen an old ring created by talented Dulong Fine Jewelry. It appeared in her wardrobe in 2005. The diamond band is from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. She was likely to have worn heels from Malone Souliers. The clutch is still a mystery to me.

I have truly missed an outfit like this. Just look at it! The silhouette is smashing. Love how she matched the stunning printed Jesper Høvring blouse with a simple a-line skirt. I have no ID on the skirt but I am pretty sure it is a new addition to wardrobe. Beautiful how the Prada belt defined her waistline.

I am still trouble about the Sophie Bille Brahe earrings. The diamond/gold combination is outstanding and works very time but the design bothers me. Apparently Mary disagrees. But they do look good with this outfit.

Mary is an honest master of finding same colors in nuance. The same goes with how she matched her new skirt and belt with the dark blue Quidam clutch. Wearing nude or beige pumps/shoes is a clever trick. Makes your legs look longer. She has used this "trick" for many years. I was just reminded how well it works.

Day 1. Official State visit to Latvia

October 28, 2025

Official welcoming ceremony

King Frederik and Queen Mary have arrived in Riga Latvia. The state visit marks the beginning of the Royal Couple's travels to the three Baltic countries and focuses on the close cooperation between Denmark and Latvia in culture, security and common European values. The visit will last from October 28th to 29th.

Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs welcomed the couple to Riga Castle where the official welcoming ceremony took place. The King and Queen also had the opportunity to meet with the Danish and Latvian delegations.

The couple also visited with Moment of Liberty, the Latvian Occupation Museum and participated a guided tour in Riga's Art Nouveau district.

Mary looked absolutely stunning in her navy blue coat. It was created by talented Danish designer Søren Le Schmidt. Mary first wore the coat at the 80th anniversary of Denmark's liberation in May. Later that month she wore it celebrating her husband's birthday. In Latvia she had chosen to add a Max Mara belt which I kinda like but it makes her look a bit too thin.

The sunning headpiece matched the coat beautifully. Milliner Katrin Cecilia Jacobsen created this incredible piece of headwear. Amazing work.

She accessorized the outfit with exclusive pearl earrings and a matching brooch. Both pieces are part of the Danish Pearl Poiré Parure. The set also comes with another brooch, a necklace and a tiara. The custom-made pearl ring made by Dulong Fine Jewelry was a great addition to the old inherited jewellery.

Her fine leather clutch is a reuse from Quidam. When they arrived in Riga Mary wore polished Prada pumps. Later, she changed to a pair of black Gianvito Rossi boots and a black woolen coat. The paisley scarf is also a reuse.

Evening banquet

President Edgars Rinkēvičs hosted an evening banquet at Riga Castle with King Frederik and Queen Mary as guests of honor. The King gave a speech prior to the dinner being service.

The King was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of the Three Stars - Latvia's highest military order. The Queen received the Grand Cross of the Order of the Three Stars. The President was awarded the Order of the Elephant - Denmark's finest order.

Mary first wore the incredible red gown at the New Year's Eve Banquet in January 2018. It is tailored by Søren Le Schmidt. I love when she is wearing bright colors. Looks great with her brown hair and fair skin. Somehow I think she gown looks better with a full up-do. Can't really tell why but I think it suits the gown better. What are your thoughts?

She styled the smashing silk gown with a tiara purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction back in 2015. It can be worn both as a tiara and a necklace. The earrings have never been identified but she has worn them numerous times as a set to the tiara.

Her golden bracelet once belonged to Queen Louise. It was her engagement bracelet. I am so sure Mary's huge diamond ring is the same one Queen Margrethe wore on her first official portrait as Queen of Denmark in 1972.

Looks like Mary's pumps are the same colors as her gown. Either in suede or silk. The bordeaux clutch is a reuse from Sergio Rossi.
