Day 2. UN Climate Conference 'COP30'

November 12, 2025

Queen Mary already spent her first day in the city of Belém in Brazil by visiting the production site Ilha do Combu and attending welcoming reception at the Hangar where COP30 is hosted.

On November 12th, she first paid a visit to the research institute Embrapa, which is top of its league in agriculture, sustainability and forestry. Later on, she visited the African pavilion also attending the climate conference. The cultural center in Utinga Park also had the delightful pleasure of her visit.

You know I love when she is wearing colors. The more, the better. This is also why I really like her outfit on November 12th. Pretty sure her orange trousers are old ones but never identified. Love the detail with a matching (new) belt. It is from Seed Heritage. Beautiful combo of different materials. Her beloved white linen blouse is Bagutta.

As accessories Mary had chosen stunning Louise Grønlykke earrings. Only seen a couple of times before. The same story goes with the Dulong Fine Jewelry necklace. Pieces we have only seen a few times. I never really made up my mind with the necklace. Do you like this type of design?

She changed shoes from a pair of beloved Prada ballet flats to chic brown leather sandals from Gianvito Rossi. Mary has become very fond of these heeled sandals. We get it, right?

Dinner at Mercado de São Brás

Queen Mary was accompanied by the Brazilian First Lady Rosângela da Silva when attending dinner at the Marcado de São Brás. They attended as guests of honor. The president of COP30, Director-General of the UN Environment Programme Inger Andersen also took part in the dinner such as specially invited guests.

The dinner was to show how a project between Denmark Brazil work with sustainable gastronomy. It gathers chefs, farmers and local actors with a focus on biodiversity, local ingredients and food culture.

Mary looked absolutely magnificent at the dinner at Marcado de São Brás! Her stunning printed dress is a reused from Etro. She first wore the dress for a private dinner at Wayfair Club Oswald in 2023. It is also the same dress as worn for a reception on Dannebrog last year.

In Brazil, Mary accessorized the fine dress with brand new earrings - perhaps a gift? A closer look will show that Mary had also chosen an old ring created by talented Dulong Fine Jewelry. It appeared in her wardrobe in 2005. The diamond band is from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. She was likely to have worn heels from Malone Souliers. The clutch is still a mystery to me.

 Summer tour with Dannebrog

Day 1. Bornholm

19 August 2024

Arrival at Rønne harbour

This morning, King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived with Danneborg at Rønne harbour at the island of Bornholm. It is their first day summer touring around Denmark. Bornholm is their first stop of four. Tomorrow they will dock at Ærø - another small island.

The royal couple were then taken for a carriage ride around Rønne. So many people had showed up to get a glimpse of the King and Queen.

They were officially welcomed at Rønne Theater. Later on, the couple visited Bornholm's Center of Craftsmanship in Hasle.

Didn't really know what to expect of her outfit today, but this was not it. Nevertheless, I really like what she was wearing visiting Rønne at Bornholm. Mary dazzled in a reused white Paul & Joe blouse and simple black wide-legged trousers. That brand new long tweed vest has been identified as WEILL. I see where she is going with this outfit but somehow I do not feel that she quite successed. What is your opinion?

Mary differently nailed the accessory-part! Her stunning navy blue hat is a creation by Jane Taylor. They perfectly matched the suede pointed pumps from Jimmy Choo.

The diamond earrings are beloved ones from Sophie Bille Brahe and the three golden necklaces are Halberstadt and Dulong Fine Jewelry. Seems like she is very fond of the trio. Same goes with the bracelet. Two of them are also from Dulong Fine Jewelry and her shiny ring is Rebekka Notkin.

A day at Bornholm

After a quite change of clothes, the couple showed up at Ekkodalen. A famous spot to see when visiting Bornholm. They went for a walk from Ekkodalen to Hareløkke.

King Frederik and Queen Mary visited 'Food Bornholm'. They also enjoyed outdoor lunch in Hareløkke. Later on, they visited the beautiful Østerlars Church famous for its found shape going back to the Nights Templar.

Before spending a little time off before hosting a reception on board Dannebrog, they couple visited 'Det Gamle Elværk - Baltic Energy Island'.

What is not to like? - the couple are wearing matching trousers! That is so cute. Mary's trousers are differently new. They look like rust red linen trousers. Any ideas where to find them? I'd love to hear your thoughts. She styled them with a new white Closed blouse. Love the casual vibe, especially when she added her structured Harris Wharf London blazer.

Walking in Ekkodalen, Mary wore her cool soft pink NIKE sneakers. Later on, she changed to a pair of old ballet flats from Prada. Wish I was a ballet-flat-girl. I'm not. Are you?

The fine golden jewellery are from Sophie Bille Brahe, Halberstadt, Dulong Fine Jewelry and Rebekka Notkin. Her chic tortoise-like sunglasses are Michael Kors. Mary first wore them on a visit to Mali in 2017.

Reception at Dannebrog

90 guests were specially invited to attend an evening reception at Danneborg with King Frederik and Queen Mary as hosts. Their way of thanking the people of Bornholm.

We only have a few photos from the reception showing the couple waving goodby from the royal yacht. What strike me, is the couple. They good so happy and comfortable. Wish we had some photos of Mary's evening outfit but at least we have something to work with.

Mary looked beautiful in a reused ArtFusion Copenhagen dress. A soft pink floral dress first worn at Copenhagen Fashion Summit in 2018. A year later, she wore the magnificent dress again for a dinner honoring actors of sustainable fashion. Mary embraced todays outfit wearing the same golden belt. Perfectly matched with her Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelets.

Meeting with Mødrehjælpen

20th April

Even though the Crown Prince family has moved to Fredensborg, Crown Princess Mary was back at Amalienborg to meet with Director Ninna Thomsen and Deputy Director Trine Schaldemose from Mødrehjælpen. Helle Østergaard, Director of the Mary Foundation also attended the meeting.

Ninna Thomsen and Trine Schaldemose spend some time telling the Crown Princess about the work Mødrehjælpen has achieved the last couple of years. Due to the pandemic, Mødrehjælpen was in need to rethink their help and counseling because the world crises has made the situation more vulnerable for many families than usually. Is has created more and other challenges for these families.

The Crown Princess was also informed about Mødrehjælpens new strategy for the next five years. All to help families, who struggle with everyday life.

Crown Princess Mary is patron of Mødrehjælpen.

The past year, we have seen so many different meeting-outfits. Like when she welcomed a new board member of the Mary Foundation in September 2020 (here) or in November 2020, when she participated a virtual meeting on well-being (here).

Meeting with Director Ninna Thomsen and Deputy Director Trine Schaldemose from Mødrehjælpen, Mary has chosen to wear one of her old goodies from Michael Kors. The exact same dress from when she participated a management meeting with the Mary Foundation's management in August last year (here). Have you missed the dress? I have. We do not see anything else in the photo, like accessories and so. My guess would be that she would wear black pumps for this dress and maybe a belt.

Do you like wearing printed dress?

August 20, 2020

No doubt that COVID19 has made our mindset different. We think differently. We need to take different precautions than we are use to. We need to act differently when we are around other people. Both in private and for companies, things are not as we are use to be. But how do we deal with this?

This is exactly what Crown Princess Mary and the rest of the Mary Foundation's management discussed at a meeting last Thursday. A meeting about being creative and finding alternatives for what is not possible at the moment. For instance, physical contact with others are limited right now. Crown Princess Mary reminds us that physical distance and social distance are not the same thing.

One of the things the Mary Foundation try to fight is social isolation. Not the easiest topic to combat on normal terms, but COVID19 makes it even more difficult because we need to stay separated to take care of each other. But by being creative and innovative, and trying to find alternative ways of getting together we are, according to the Crown Princess, able to do the things we use to do - without compromising.

With this mindset, the Mary Foundation still operate to fight social isolation despite difficulties.

I always love getting a glimpse of how it looks, when Mary is head of a meeting. Not many placed in the world are we allowed to see what happens behind closed royal doors. Mary changed that. On more than one occasion she shared with us pictures and tellings about how a meeting takes place with the Mary Foundation.

This time she chose to embrace her hardworking work-ethics wearing one of her old Michael Kors dresses. Mary first wore this dress at the presentation of the annual FSR - Denmark's best CSR report in 2018, here. Some time went by without anyone lucky enough to identify this new dress. Suddenly, it was found at Micheal Kors.

Mary belted her Kors dress with a lovely burgundy belt. Still unidentified. Still a piece I really want to find one day. She has both worn this incredible belt with skirts, dresses and even outside a navy blue coat, here.

Usually, we see her accompanied by her phone, paperwork and some kind of clutch bag. Meeting with the rest of her leading team Mary brought with her two clutches. One possibly from Carlend Copenhagen (called 'Laura') and another one from Tapet Café. The beautiful beaded necklace is a Dulong Fine Jewelry creation.

Day 2. Work visit in Indonesia

03 December

FIGTHING FOR HEALTHCARE

From early morning Crown Princess Mary was joined by Executive Director of UNPFA, Natalia Kanem when visiting Indonesia Midwifes Association. One of the things discussed during the visit at the Midwifes Association was female circumcision. Despite being banned it is still practiced in Indonesia due to a religious- and traditional believes.

Fighting for girls and women’s physical and mental health and rights have become one of Crown Princess Mary’s top priorities, which is why I believe this visit was very unique and insightful. She listened and asked questions all along, and payed attention to everything she was told and shown at the clinic.

Later she participated a dialogue on gender-based violence and humanitarian crisis management. Representatives from the Indonesian healthcare authorities as well as the National Commission for Violence against Women also participated the dialogue. I always think it is interesting watching pictures from her participating these panel debates and dialogues. She is so attentive and part of the discussion. Am I the only one who have noticed that?

The dialogue was followed by a visit to Peacumber Coffee. At the moment a moving healthcare clinic is placed outside the café. These moving clinics is one of UNFPA’s initiatives to makes it easier for girls and women to have access to birth control.

70TH ANNIVERSARY OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS

In the evening Crown Princess Mary attended another significant event – the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic relationship between Denmark and Indonesia. She was one big smile at the arrival where she was warmly welcomed to the anniversary. As guest of honor the Crown Princess entered the stage and gave a speech in addition to the official celebration.

Dinner served at the night of celebration were created by the Danish chef, Per Thøstesen. He had created a dinner inspired by both countries. Also, the following ballet performance combined Denmark and Indonesia because the par de deux was performed by the Indonesian ballet dancer, Alban Lendorf and Wenny Halim – who have studied in Denmark.

The second day in Indonesia Mary has chosen another one of her old printed dresses. This time she dazzled wearing a blue and white printed dress from Michael Kors. We have seen the dress a couple of times before and to me this dress just gets better and better every time we get to see it. What is your opinion about the dress? Anything you would wear yourself? I imagine it with a pair of sneakers or boots; tights and maybe a knitted sweater. Well it is way colder in Denmark than Indonesia.

She embraced the style of the dress with white pearl jewelry all from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The earrings go way back in time and quickly became one of her favorite pair of earrings. Later she added a matching bracelet and a large pearl ring to accomplish the look. I also stopped her golden Cartier bracelet and the white pearl ring as mentioned a minute ago. Her lovely green beaded necklace is her Nadia Shelbaya creation.

Once again Mary stunned in nude pumps this time from Jimmy Choo. I always loved the shape of this model. It features an almond shaped toe and a lower heel. Looks great with the dress and relaxed hairstyle. Surprises me every time how chic it looks when her hair is like this. She makes a simple ponytail look smashing!

Mary looked absolutely stunning at the 70th anniversary celebration Tuesday evening. She wore her bright pink printed dress from Etro. The same dress as when her husband celebrated her 50th birthday not that many years ago. At that time most people loved the dress and how it wrapped around her body. Because the color is so bright and the print is very bold, the black hemline gives the dress a certain balance. It makes the eye relax a bit from all the colors and prints. I cannot get enough of this dress. It looks great on her.

I get why she was wearing only a few accessories and in the same colors as the dress. This outfit is primarily about the dress, but not forget to take a look at the incredible accessories as well. The stunning and super elegant earrings features both pink and yellow stones (like the dress in colors). Quite a while ago they were found at Annikat, who also created other of her expensive diamond jewelry. Mary has already worn these earrings at several events since the presentation in 2014. So far, the earrings have mostly been used for evening events, but it would not come as a surprise if she’d wear them as everyday jewelry one day.

Mary also dazzled wearing one of her Carlend Copenhagen clutch – a pink one this time. I have one myself (not made of crocodile as Mary’s) and I love it because it adds something very special to any outfit. Surprisingly most other colors actually match this pink clutch very well. She matched the rest of her bright and exotic evening outfit with black mesh pumps from Gianvito Rossi. With hairstyle, dress and accessories I can’t help myself from loving this outfit a great deal.

Day 1. Nairobi Summit on ICPD25: Accelerating the Promise

12 November

THE SUMMIT

Crown Princess Mary is participating the Nairobi Summit on ICPF25: Accelerating the Promise from November 12-13th, among others, as patron of the United Nations Population Fund. Minister of Development, Rasmus Prehn is also participating the summit along with the Crown Princess.

Nairobi Summit on ICPF25 takes place on occasion of the 25th anniversary of 179 countries' adoption of an action plan to the benefit of girls and women's rights over one's own body. The summit is hosted by Kenya, Denmark and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and takes place in Kenyatta International Conference Centre in Nairobi.

Already on the summits first day Crown Princess Mary entered the stage and gave a speech on occasion of the opening, here. As part of the opening ceremony she attended the paneldebat "Rights and Choices for All" with all participants of the summit. So both older and younger representatives were members of the panel. They represent philanthropy, civil society and the private sector. She also participated the session "Meet the Leader" - a dialogue between leaders from the ICPD and younger participants. Crown Princess Mary did also participate in Beijing+25 and the signatur session entitled "Ending Unmet Need for Family Planning: Reproductive Rights and Contraceptive Choices".

It was not all about debats, meetings and sessions. Youssou N'Dour entertained the summits participants with sining.

THE DINNER

In the evening, after a long day with lots of meetings and panel debates, Crown Princess Mary was invited to dinner. It was hosted by Kenya's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Monica Juma. There are not much to tell about the dinner. Well, I have not been able to read much about the dinner. At all. What I see from the pictures is that Crown Princess Mary was seated next to, among others, the Vice President from Costa Rica.

Her first day in Nairobi, Mary was beautifully dressed in one of her printed Michael Kors dresses. It features longer sleeves, a v-neck and a length that are covering her knees. A very suitable and stunning dress for the occasion. She first wore the printed beauty at the presentation of FSR: Denmark's best CSR in 2018, here. It took quite a while to identify where it was from, but in the end it was then found at Michael Kors. The suede burgundy belt was a perfect match and it emphasized her slim silhouette.

As other accessories Mary had chosen neutral colored pointed python pumps from Gianvito Rossi and matched it with a reused Prada handbag. Both pieces have been part of her wardrobe for quite a few years now. Still I love when she wears them. Especially the Gianvito Rossi pumps are favorites of mine. In general I really like his design.

The little brooch on the left side of her chest looks to me like the logo of the ICPD, here. So, I guess Mary wore their brooch because they are part of (among others) the Beijing+25. That show commitment, right? The longer beaded necklace and different colored stone bracelets are both Dulong Fine Jewelry's designs. She also wore a second necklace from Nadia Shelbaya. Mary loves to shine like a diamond wearing diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and her golden Cartier bangle.

As I said, not much have been published from the dinner she attended in the evening. Nevertheless, it does not take many pictures to make a comment on what she was wearing. Mary dazzled at the dinner. At least that is what I think. She was wearing a 3/4 sleeve blouse. A rather simple black blouse. She paired it was a brand new printed skirt featuring ginkgo leaves. I was not able to identify her new skirt myself, but with a little help I can now tell that it is from Jesper Høvring's H by Jesper Høvring autumn collection.

To me the necklace also looks new. A simple look like this can also be accessorized with heavier jewellery - like this new necklace of hers. The golden round earrings are old ones from Dulong Fine Jewelry and the golden bracelet is Cartier. Somehow the little clutch is similar to this one from Naledi Copenhagen, here, but I can't tell for sure because of the low quality pictures. I could be wrong. The stunning yellow pumps are from Gianvito Rossi.

Crown Princess Mary's bridge is inaugurated

28th September

It was a very special day, when Crown Princess Mary arrived to Frederikssund on Saturday. The Crown Princess was about to inaugurate a newly built bridge - her very own bridge. Or at least it is named after her. The bridge now connect the vest and north of Sjælland, and is crossing Roskilde Fjord.

The Crown Princess was in a splendid mood when arriving to Frederikssund. Despite the weather not showing the best of what we call Danish Fall weather, she was one big smile. We get why, right? How often do you get to open your very own bridge? Not often. Around 10,000 people had showed up to participate the inauguration. By participate, I mean literally participate. As part of the inauguration the 10,000 attendances would either walk or run a one mile, 5 kilometers or cross the bridge in a 10 kilometers walk or run. The Crown Princess chose to walk one mile - yes in 100mm heeled shoes.

Right from the beginning, people wanted her attention. All wanted a picture and a handshake, and that is what they got. Crown Princess Mary took plenty of time to talk with and meet many of the attendances.

If I have had the chance to show up and get a picture of her, I would by no doubt have done that. Especially because she wore the more incredible outfit. Mary wore exactly what to wear when you open a bridge named after you. And she really looked outstanding in that red and navy blue color combo. At Royal Fashion Blog I learned that she was in fact wearing a Harris Wharf London coat, here. I turns out that it is not a new coat. I believe she has worn it before, among others, at the Women Deliver conference 2019 on June 5th, here. The stunning brooch is new and with a little help it was found on Ebay at Crystalitzy. The red dress is also a reuse. It comes from Michael Kors. I had completely forgotten about this dress until Kate reminded me that Mary has such a dress. Love that she matched the large bow.

I am sure you also noticed her wonderful new fascinator. It is really elegant and stylish. Can not wait to see how she is going to wear it in the future. Kate managed to identify this new piece as a creation from Jane Taylor. Imagine to find ones design on top of that head of hers? The new fascinator is a perfect match to the rest of her outfit, just as the stunning new Jimmy Choo pumps. A lovely pair of navy blue suede pumps. Great pair of shoes for winter time that is just around the corner.

Carlend Copenhagen also proudly shared that Mary was wearing one of their blue python clutched by the name of Aicha. A stunning new piece to her huge collection of bags and clutches. The beautiful floral shaped diamond earrings were once purchased on an Bruun Rasmussen Auction. They still look absolutely magnificent despite we have seen them on several previous occasions. This is one very good-looking Crown Princess, right?!

Through Denmark with Dannebrog

After three weeks I am once again back. I have had some wonderful weeks with lots of sun, warm days and summer dresses. Meanwhile, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary enjoyed the last week of their holiday with all four children (and Grace) on board Dannebrog. It has become a tradition for the six of them sail across Denmark on board the royal yacht. The couple shared their experiences with all of us on social media.

Hundested

On August 5th, the royal family first visited the carpentry workshop Egeværk. Then Backhaus-Brown - a glass bakehouse, followed by a visit to polar scientist Knud Rasmussen's house in Hundested, here.

Kongsøre

On August 6th, the Crown Prince Couple and Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine payed a visit to Kongsøre. It is the place where the Danish Navy's Special Forces is located, Crown Prince Frederik got a chance to show his family where he worked to become part of the special forces himself. Dressed in sportswear and with camouflage paint in their faces, all of them hit the training area, here. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary ended a wonderful day with a husband and wife photo on deck, here.

Kattegat

On August 8th, they were on the run again. Crown Princess Mary shared a few pictures and videos on social media with the text: "Then we go again. The Danish summer weather is based on its windy but also beautiful side. And where are we?", here. The answer was Kattegat - a watershed between Denmark and Sweden. The Crown Princess also captured the guarding vessel Rota crossing by Danneborg greeting Crown Prince Frederik.

Læsø

On August 9th, Dannebrog anchored at Læsø - an island in Kattegat. Here the family enjoyed all day learning about among others, seaweed houses. Houses with roof made of seaweed instead of the traditional straw, here. Both Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephines also had the opportunity to try to get hold on making a seaweed roof themselves. The Crown Prince Couple also visited Thorvald Hansen's Tower with their children and their friends while staying at Læsø, here. Læsø was last stop before headed to Copenhagen again, here.
