Day 2. Official visit to Egypt

November 02, 2025

Visit at the pyramids in Giza

The Queen arrived in Giza yesterday to atten the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

First thing in the morning on her second day in Egypt, Mary enjoyed the sight of the Giza pyramids. She was even given the chance to see the inside of The Great Pyramid of Giza. Literally, she touch thousands of years of history with her hands. What a morning!

Mary embraced the most casual outfit. She matched a soft blue button-down with slim beige trousers and a shawl. The blouse has been identified as a new one from POLO Ralph Lauren. Very similar t another one of her blue denim shirts.

A closer look revealed that she styled the outfit with a reused brown leather belt from BOSS and her Jerome Dreyfuss phone pouch.

Visit at the Grand Egyptian Museum

Having visited the grand pyramids she continued her tour at the Grand Egyptian Museum. She was accompanied by Minister of Foregine Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen.

They were introduced to meet the famous Tutankhamun's coffin and golden death mask. It must have been treasured moment in her life.

Before going to the Grand Egyptian Museum to met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Mary made a quick change. She was wearing a brand new blouse and matching green trousers from Zimmermann. Tell me it dosen't look comfortable. Love the loose fit and how she accessorized it with different textures like the brown leather belt from Max Mara.

The golden earrings are beloved ones from Dulong Fine Jewelry and the necklace is created by the talented Rebekka Notkin. She also mastered her golden bangle. Mary's two other bracelets are from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Meeting the President of Egypt

Before she was headed home to Copenhagen Mary met one last time with the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi at the presidential palace in Cairo. Lars Løkke Rasmussen also had the opportunity to greet the President for his hospitality.

Mary wore a beautiful bordeaux outfit when meeting with the President at the presidential palace. She had chosen a most beloved Jesper Høvring blouse and paired it with a stunning floral printed maxi skirt. It has yet not been identified. Maybe one day I am able to tell where it is from.

The cool leather belt was found not that long ago at & Other Stories. The smashing golden earrings are from Rebekka Notkin. It perfectly matched her necklace as from the designer and collection. Mary also styled her look with a custom-made ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

For the first time today we have a photo showing her entire body. It makes it possible for me to tell that she wore Gianvito Rossi pumps.

Opening of "Creative Summit"

June 23, 2021

Crown Princess Mary arrived to Industriens Hus in Copenhagen to attend the launch of a new project called "Creative Summit". A collaboration between Danish Industry and Creative Denmark. The summit is brand new platform. It aim to focus on the potential of the creative business and at the same time create a room for create actors. A room with space to be inspired and inspire others in the same business.

Minister of Trade and Industry Simon Kollerup and CEO and CCO of Danish Industry Thomas Bustrup welcomed the Crown Princess at the arrival. Chairman of the Board of Creative Denmark Mette Kynne Frandsen also welcomed her along with CEO of Creative Denmark Majken Kalhave.

The Crown Princess enjoyed a welcome speech by Thomas Bustrup and Mette Kynne Frandsen. Simon Kollerup also entered the stage and gave a speech on behalf of the opening of the "Creative Summit".

Afterwards, she attended a roundtable debate about how creativity is such an important factor in dailylife businesses. Participants of the summit also got the chance of meeting the Crown Princess like many others did at the event.

Maybe you recall Mary's outfit from when she attended the launch of "Creative Summit"? That is because, she wore the exact same (almost) outfit at CBS Responsibility Day in K.B. Hallen two years ago (here). Back then, almost every part of her outfit were identified. The blouse is still unknown to me, but I believe we learn more one day. Her beautiful printed skirt is a Valentino design.

Once again, Mary embraced the style with a lovely bordeaux leather belt from & Other Stories dated back to 2016.

Her soft pink (peach?) suede pumps were also worn back in 2019 at the Responsibility Day. They we found at Jimmy Choo. They are indeed stunning. The pumps really do a great job with the rest of her look.

Mary is known to wear plenty of jewellery. She is never covered in jewellery, but wearing exquisite and well-chosen pieces. At "Creative Summit" in Industriens Hus, she dazzled wearing white pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The same jewellery designer are also the creator of four other pieces worn that day. Three bracelets and that huge diamond ring on her left hand. The other diamond band is an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen design. Her golden diamond bangle is also from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Mary also wore her new heart pendant necklace from Ebba Sydow Jewelry.

No doubt that COVID19 has made our mindset different. We think differently. We need to take different precautions than we are use to. We need to act differently when we are around other people. Both in private and for companies, things are not as we are use to be. But how do we deal with this?

This is exactly what Crown Princess Mary and the rest of the Mary Foundation's management discussed at a meeting last Thursday. A meeting about being creative and finding alternatives for what is not possible at the moment. For instance, physical contact with others are limited right now. Crown Princess Mary reminds us that physical distance and social distance are not the same thing.

One of the things the Mary Foundation try to fight is social isolation. Not the easiest topic to combat on normal terms, but COVID19 makes it even more difficult because we need to stay separated to take care of each other. But by being creative and innovative, and trying to find alternative ways of getting together we are, according to the Crown Princess, able to do the things we use to do - without compromising.

With this mindset, the Mary Foundation still operate to fight social isolation despite difficulties.

I always love getting a glimpse of how it looks, when Mary is head of a meeting. Not many placed in the world are we allowed to see what happens behind closed royal doors. Mary changed that. On more than one occasion she shared with us pictures and tellings about how a meeting takes place with the Mary Foundation.

This time she chose to embrace her hardworking work-ethics wearing one of her old Michael Kors dresses. Mary first wore this dress at the presentation of the annual FSR - Denmark's best CSR report in 2018, here. Some time went by without anyone lucky enough to identify this new dress. Suddenly, it was found at Micheal Kors.

Mary belted her Kors dress with a lovely burgundy belt. Still unidentified. Still a piece I really want to find one day. She has both worn this incredible belt with skirts, dresses and even outside a navy blue coat, here.

Usually, we see her accompanied by her phone, paperwork and some kind of clutch bag. Meeting with the rest of her leading team Mary brought with her two clutches. One possibly from Carlend Copenhagen (called 'Laura') and another one from Tapet Café. The beautiful beaded necklace is a Dulong Fine Jewelry creation.

02 September

It was a big day for many new students at Copenhagen Business School (also known as CBS), when Crown Princess Mary arrived to CBS Responsibility Day 2019. It took place in K.B. Hallen at Frederiksberg in Copenhagen. She was welcomed with smiles and handshakes by, among others, Rector of CBS Nikolai, Malchow-Møller.

CBS Responsibility Day is an annual event that marks the first day for new bachelor students at Copenhagen Business School, but it also works as a day dedicated to fully focus on business responsibility. This and much more were included in Crown Princess Mary's opening speech. She encouraged the students to take changes, but in a responsible way. In addition to that the Crown Princess spoke about UN's 17 world goals on sustainable development. Take the time and read her speech here.

Seems like Mary is ready to welcome fall with lots of colors and lovely prints. At her appearance at CBS Responsibility Day 2019 in K.B. Hallen she wore a wonderful midi skirt from Valentino. She has worn the skirt before - twice actually. We first saw the beautiful Valentino skirt when Mary attended the premiere of 'The Magic Mask' in Tivoli October 6th 2018, here. Then again in April of 2019 when visiting Vibenshus School with the Mary Foundation, here. Love the skirt. It makes me happy. Do you like it? I think it is clever of her to wear the skirt, with all its colors and prints, with a simple white blouse.

She styled her outfit with the most amazing accessories. First thing noticed is the bordeaux & Other Stories belt. So chic and stylish!

In the same rage of colors Mary chose to wear her reused Carlend Copenhagen clutch in pink. I have this myself and it is absolutely wonderful. Works with most outfits both day and night. I often wear mine. The pumps are brand new. From Heaven and Kate I learned that Jimmy Choo is the designers. Can not wait to see then worn with other outfits in the future.

Mary was also wearing quite a few magnificent pieces of jewellery. Among others diamond and gold earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and a ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry. What is interesting, is her new golden necklace from Dulong Fine Jewelry. It looked great next to her reused beads necklace from Nadia Shelbaya.

August 15, 2019

For the fourth time, Crown Princess Mary attended the grand opening of Odense Flower Festival in Odense. She first attended in 2006, here. Then in 2012 - the same year Crown Princess Mary became patron for the festival, here. Again in 2017, here, and then now in 2019. Each year the Crown Princess has named a new flower. Two years ago a new rose got its name. This year it was a hydrangeas that got the name 'Princess of Passion'. A beautiful flower, here.

Odense Flower Festival gathered more than 100,000 different plants that decorate the city of Odense. Different themes set who the city is decorated. This years theme was "On a time-travel: With time in the center". A magnificent name.

From right at the moment Crown Princess Mary arrived everybody wanted her attention. Everyone smiled, waved and called to get a glimpse of her. She returned bouquets of flowers with kind smiles and handshakes. Peter Rahbæk Juel, Mayor of Odense warmly welcomed the Crown Princess at the arrival. What a pleasure to have a Crown Princess in town when such a big event is taking place. During her visit she met with both gardeners and volunteers, who created all of the stunning flower decorations.

What else then a floral dress for the opening of a flower festival? I absolutely love that Mary showed up I this reused Rotate dress all covered in colorful flowers. It is both kinda obvious for her to wear such dress and clever. Don't think I would have guessed for her to wear floral print. Had you guessed it? Once before she has worn this incredible Rotate dress. It was when she Rotate's show at Copenhagen Fashion Week on January 31st 2019, here. Back then we didn't really get a close look at the dress because she also was wearing a rather large black blazer. But not this time.

Mary decided to wear a reused belt as well. A lovely burgundy belt with an asymmetric closure. I never been able to identify where it is from, but she first wore it with her ArtFusion dress in August 8th last year, here. And then again when visiting Holstebro in October 2016, here. Have you ever seen anything like it? It is very different, but I like how it is all asymmetric and colorful.

As jewellery Mary embraced the style with old earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a ring from that same designer. Two outstanding pieces of jewellery. Simple, yet elegant and fashionable year after year. I wonder if she was also wearing some bracelets? It is likely, but I don't have any picture to prove it. She was also wearing her Nadia Shelbaya necklace. The beautiful and simple pumps are from legendary Christian Louboutin.

August 08, 2018

After a long holiday with her family - both staying at Gråsten Castle in Gråsten, visiting Skagen and traveling on board Danneborg. Now the Crown Princess is back at work. On her first day back to work she visited Bella Center in Copenhagen. It was on occasion of the collaborative show 'Future of Fashion' that she visited the summit. The show is orchestrated by Designskolen Kolding and Kunstakademiets Designskole. It is part of Copenhagen International Fashion Fair (CIFF) taking place these days in Bella Center. This makes both CIFF and 'Future of Fashion' part of Copenhagen Fashion Week 2018. Around 2,000 brands and designers are also represented at the fashion week.

'Future of Fashion' is the show where students from both Designskolen Kolding and Kunstakademiets Designskole show their latest creations with focus on innovation and technology. Congratulations to all of those students who have worked their way up to present each a collection. I know how much it takes. Be proud of yourself.

The Crown Princess arrived in a wonderful mood wearing a brand new powder pink dress. She was one big smile. Following the fashion show, she was about to present three awards to the most talented and skilled new designers. She also payed a visit to the exhibition entitled 'Future of Fashion - the Exhibition'. All these new and innovative materials in fashion industry seemed to have the Crown Princess' attention. It was with great interest she enjoyed her day in Bella Center, Copenhagen. Not a bad way to start work again.

As much as Mary always manage to mesmerize people around her with her personality, I think people around the world are mesmerized by that powder pink dress. Well, at least I am. A really beautiful dress. A piece many are looking for. Personally I think it makes good sense for it to be from a Danish designer working with some kind of sustainability. Often we see her wear such clothes at these event. And it makes great sense, right? When writing this post earlier I had no idea where to find the dress. Nor had any of my fellow royal watchers. I managed to identify the dress as a design from ArtFusion Copenhagen. They proudly shared the new on Instagram, here. Still I am not quite sure if it features flowers or birds.Apparently the print is based on original artwork. The length is fascination too.

She had then chosen to accessorize her new dress with a belt. Nor have this been found. Yet. Not sure I fancy the belt very much, but it makes a fine match to the colour of the dress. Especially the printed flowers or birds match in colour. A reader made me aware that she had worn the belt once before. At an event back in 2016 on occasion of the Crown Prince Couples Awards, here

Reused Gianvito Rossi pumps and Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings makes a perfect combo as well. I see, what I strongly believe is, a Dulong Fine Jewelry pearl bracelet and her golden bangle from Cartier. Mary also embraced the style with her golden Orit Elhanti necklace. Somehow I can not her engangement ring anywhere. Makes me wonder if she just keeps it simple by wearing only diamond bands or maybe it is getting fixed somehow. Well it is only speculations. Nevertheless, I think the two diamond bands is a great way to accessorize this very feminine outfit. To me it looks like, at least one ring, is from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

She is the epitome of summer with this look - a soft material, pastel colour, wavy hairstyle and natural makeup.

This show is something I really look forward to every year! A day where Danish arts, music, charity organizations etc. are honored. All day I was waiting with great excitement to watch the show which was broadcasted live on Danish television and then what. Yes, you're right I completely forgot about it. Not good at all. Now I have and it was a great show. So if you haven't already watched it, here, hurry up then! As you see on the photo below, then Frederik and Mary visited Musikhuset where the Crown Prince couple's Prizes 2016 were about to be handed over in the evening. At 9:00 pm. local time arrived the royal couple to Holstebro welcomed by the sweetest flower girl, who also showed them their way across the red carpet. With the couple present the show could begin with Kåre Quist and Stephanie Surrugue as hosts along with the Crown Prince couple of course. Both Frederik and Mary entered the stage multiple times to present this years prize winners. Here you see who won and why the prizes are given:

Winner of this years Social Prize is: the organization Børn, Unge og Sorg

Since the first prizes were presented we have seen so many different evening outfits worn by Mary which is also why I so much look forward to this specific evening. Let us admit it; the most incredible outfits are those worn at a evening event. Lately I think it's hard what to expect from her because she has worn so many, very different and surprisingly outfits. But it was pure excitement when I discovered that she was wearing her metallic blue and black floral skirt custom-made by Jayson Brunsdon for a photo shoot for the Australian Women's Weekly in 2013, here. Since then we also saw it in 2014 at a AmCham event, here. Such a masterpiece! Like back in 2014 she embrace the look with a black wide neck blouse featuring long sleeves, making it even more magnificent.

Because of the shape of the blouse, her hairdresser had chosen a half updo. If I should change one thing about this outfit then it would be the blouse. Not that I do not like it, because I really do but I would also love to see her wear the skirt with another blouse or top one day. Maybe next time. Mary's porcelain skin and rather dramatic eye makeup captures my attention right away just as her pumps did. Women and shoes. You know what I mean. She has so many pairs of Gianvito Rossi shoes and I'm not quite she if we have seen these before. Probably we have.

She also stunned me with the berry red lips and matching burgundy nail polish. Not to forget the huge aquamarine blue ring and large chandelier earrings. Smashing!
