Queen Margrethe's 86th Birthday

April 16, 2026

Queen Margrethe celebrated her 86th birthday at Fredensborg Castle. King Frederik and Queen Mary accompanied the Queen on her birthday. Her sister Queen Anne-Marie was also present to make it a memorable day. The Queen was also celebrated by Danes who had showed up at Fredenborg to congratulate her and with a beautiful concert watched from the main staircase.

While Queen Margrethe looked like a bright colorful star in a red skirt, burgundy blazer and white blouse, her daughter-in-law was modest dressed in a plain navy blue suit. The blazer is a reuse from Harris Wharf London. She paired it with Max Mara trousers and Jimmy Choo pumps. I'm only able to recognize her earrings a Sophie Bille Brahe and one ring as Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I'm very interested in her new golden brooch. Could it be a gift from her mother-in-law?

Day 6. Official State Visit to Australia

March 19th, 2026

"Welcome to Hobart"

King Frederik and Queen Mary were welcomed by the Tasmanian Governor Barbara Baker when arriving to Hobart. Part of the official welcoming ceremony was the traditional smoke ceremony performed by a representative of the Aboriginal people. This is also when we got the first glimpse of today's outfit. Mary looked beautiful in a reused dress from ME+EM and a beloved linen blazer from Ralph Lauren. The brown leather belt from Max Mara was a great detail. The same goes with her choice in shoes - brown suede Gianvito Rossi pumps and beige cap-toe ballet flats from Prada.

The couple also paid a visit to the Alum Cliffs Marine Reserve and the shipyard INCAT in Hobart. They were even introduced to the award-winning cooking school and restaurant The Agrarian Kitchen. They work with, among others, locally grown products.

Later on, the royal couple visited the art museum MONA, The Museum of Old and New Art founded and owned by David Walsh. When out for a short city walk through Hunter Street, Mary showed what pieces of accessories she had chosen for her outfit. Earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, bracelets from Rebekka Notkin, Giorgio Armani sunglasses, and her golden Cartier watch. What's not to like?

State reception

After a long and exciting day, King Frederik and Queen Mary attended a state reception hosted by Governor Barbara Baker. The reception took place at Government House. Specially selected guests representing the state visit were invited to attended the state reception along with the Governor and royal couple.

I truly like the idea of something unique in style and one fancy trying something new, but I am not quite sure I go with her choice in trousers. I'd really like to see her wear them again some day with other accessories. Mary's new trousers are from classy Carla Zampatti. She matched it with a reused CLEA blouse and stunning Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen earrings. The two-tone pumps are a design by Gianvito Rossi.

Day 3. Official State Visit to Australia

March 16th, 2026

The Australian War Memorial in Canberra

The King and Queen have arrived in Canberra where they first spend their day planting two trees at the Government House. Her new navy blue Carolina Herrera dress wasn't really the best of choices for the occasion planting tress - nor the Gianvito Rossi pumps, but with their next visit in mind, it was perfect. Because later on, the couple visited the Australian War Memorial.

They paid their respect with a minute in silence and a beautiful wreath to those lost in battle and those fighting out in the world since World War one.

Mary looked really elegant in her new dress and custom-made Katrin Cecilia Jacobsen headpiece. A beautiful piece. The Connaught Sapphire brooch goes back to the year when Crown Prince Christian was christened. Mary received it as a gift from Queen Margrethe on occasion of her first child's birth and christening. It has been worn by Queen Margrethe and Queen Ingrid.

Meeting the Prime Minister

During their day in Canberra, the King and Queen also attended a meeting with the Denmark-Australia Parliamentary Friendship Group. They were given the opportunity to meet a number of members of the parliamentary friendship group. The members represent each their Australian states and territories.

I wanna say that Mary's creamy white/soft pink Max Mara suit was more than appropriate, but I would have liked to see something else. She has become very fond of suits and "hiding" in oversize blazers. I don't see the need of that. Nevertheless, I adore her matching blazer and suede Gianvito Rossi pumps. And the Max Mara leather bag is too a winner.

King Frederik and Queen Mary then attended the official opening of the Danish-Australian Life Science-Conference. It gathered Governments, companies and different research institutions working with innovation, prevention and healthcare solutions.

Dinner with the Prime Minister

It was not part of the officially published plan for the state visit but in the evening the couple attended a dinner hosted by the Prime Minister.

I have only been able to find one photo from the dinner posted by the Prime Minister himself welcoming the royal couple. It shows that Mary dazzled in a reused Etro dress and heeled sandals from Gianvito Rossi. Haven't we seen the earrings before?

Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing 2026

March 06, 2026

The Danish Warmblood Stallion licensing is one of the largest equestrian events in Northern Europe. This year it took place within the first week of March in Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning. The event gathered some of the world's best dressage riders and Queen Mary was there with some close friends to watch it all.

Princess Benedikte was suppose to have attended the event but cancelled her presence. Maybe the Queen unofficially replaced her? Nevertheless, she was present for the show and following licensing and she was awfully welldressed. I don't even know where to begin...

On March 6th, she arrived in Jyske Bank Boxen dressed in a smashing reused denim jumper! (I want one right now). Mary first wore the piece last year at another dressage event in May. This year, she matched it with a new short Great Stockholm jacket. Love how she wore the sleeves. So cool.

Mary accessorized jumpsuit with a brown leather and her beloved Ralph Lauren bag. Hope she will we wearing the shoes soon again because I'm curious to see more. Plenty of jewellery from both Rebekka Notkin, Cartier and Sophie Bille Brahe made the deal for me. And of course, the Thierry Lasry sunglasses.

The following day, Queen Mary spend yet another day in Jyske Bank Boxen with good friends to watch more of the Danish Warmblood Stallion licensing. I was a huge fan of her outfit worn yesterday. Thought nothing could beat it. I was wrong.

On the second day in Herning, she showed up wearing the most incredible outfit. My heart stopped for a second. Just look at that combo of colors, fabrics and prints. Gosh!

Mary styled a pair of simple light blue denim jeans with a new printed blouse from ME+EM and a reused knitted Allude vest. Even more perfect is the brown Max Mara jacket matched with the jeans and floral print. Once again, she wore the cool leopard boots, leather belt and Ralph Lauren bag.

Pretty sure her earrings are Sophie Bille Brahe. Mary also repeated her choice of golden bracelets from Rebekka Notkin and beloved Cartier watch.

Day 2. Official State Visit to Lithuania

January 29, 2026

Queen Mary looked amazing in her long woolen skirt and soft bordeaux blouse when spending yet another day in Lithuania. She first wore the Max Mara skirt last year when visiting Latvia. Back then she also matched the beautiful skirt with the color of bordeaux. In Lithuania, Mary embraced the look wearing a brand new The Fold London blouse.

The Presidential Couple accompanied the King and Queen when they paid a vist at the Danish-Lithuanian business forum and later at the wreath-laying ceremony at Antakalnis Cemetery. At the cemetery, Mary stayed warm in a reused coat from Uniqlo and a beautiful green Harris Wharf London coat.

Later in the afternoon, the royal couple visited the NBA Basketball School in Vilnius. They joined a training session and for that Mary had changed to a lovely navy blue turtleneck and black Gianvito Rossi boots. Here we also got a better look at her diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and golden Dulong Fine Jewelry ring. It also showed the best of the brown Celine belt.

I'm sure you noticed her changing boots along they way. The soft light brown boots are old ones from Valentino. My all-time favorite boots of hers.

Official Opening of "Friends in Need"

What is not to like? Mary won my vote for best-dressed at the official opening of the "Friends in Need"-exhibition. They Presidential Couple joined the King and Queen at the opening at the National Library of Lithuania. The exhibition is in honor of the friendship between Denmark and Lithuania.

Mary wore the most beautiful white Andiata suit paired with a reused dusty pink blouse which (unfortunately) has never been identified. The combination of colors and materials are exquisite. The soft curly hairdo added an extra glimpse of glamour to her look. So did the smashing new Julie Sandlau earrings. I'm pretty sure she wore a ring as well but I'm not sure which one.

When the couple arrived at the National Library of Lithuania Mary (once again) wore her fine Harris Wharf London coat. She completed the outfit with stunning beige pointed Prada pumps.

Day 1. Official state visit to Estonia

January 27, 2026

You may have noticed my absence the last couple of months. Apologies. I'll try to catch up with everything that has happened since end of January.

On January 27th, the King and Queen arrived in Estonia to attend a two-days official state visit. The royal couple were officially welcomed in Tallinn by President of Estonia, Alar Karis and the First Lady, Sirje Karis at the City Hall Square.

The Presidential Couple accompanied King Frederik and Queen Mary when paying their respect at the Monument to the War of Independence. They also visited the Memorial of the Victims of Communism.

Later on, the royal couple met with the Prime Minister of Estonia and Speaker of the Estonian Parliament.

I always loved a good old tweed fabric. The woven texture is one of my personal favourites. Mary's beautiful new dress is created by Danish tailor Lasse Spangenberg. The detailing are simply amazing. I don't even have to comment further. Have a look and admire the splendid work of his. Her fine coat is a reuse from Max Mara.

Her new headpiece is by Danish milliner Katrin Cecilia Jacobsen. On her social media she posted the headpiece in-the-making. What a treat! Turns out fabric from the dress is braided in with navy blue silk.

I'm sure you noticed the stunning sapphire and diamond brooch. It is called the vandflodsbrochen or the flood sapphire brooch. The brooch is part of the Danish Royal Property Trust and once belonged to Queen Marie Sophie Frederikke - wife of Frederik VI. It is dated back to around 1840.

Mary then accessorized her outfit with a chic brown leather handbag from Anya Hindmach. Her fine dark blue suede boots are new ones from Gianvito Rossi.

State Banquet in St. Nicholas Church

After a long day, the King and Queen were invited as guest of honor to attend a concert and state banquet in St. Nicholas Church. The events were hosted by the Presidential Couple.

This is exactly what I needed! Mary looked absolutely smashing at the evening events in her floor-length gown. It is told to be from Prada but I've never seen or read any evidence of that claim which is why I only share what I've heard. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful gown.

She matched it with huge diamond earrings purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction some years back. Don't know about you but I was thrilled to see her wedding tiara. Especially with her flowing soft curly hair.

Mary also embraced the style with a beloved old satin box clutch from Prada and fine matching pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

Christmas church service

December 24, 2025

Christmas Eve

King Frederik and Queen Mary were accompanied by all four children when attended Christmas church service. Usually, they attended these Christmas church services at Aarhus Cathedral but this year the family enjoyed the evening at Vor Frue church in Copenhagen.

Mary looked great in her stunning orange Max Mara coat! Love it when she wears colorful clothings like this beautiful coat. Mary first wore the coat when visiting Holstebro to celebrate the city's 750th anniversary in 2024. We even had a glimpse of what she was wearing underneath. Turns out to be her Oscar de la Renta dress. It is the same dress that she wore on Christmas Eve in 2021.

The elegant white pearl earrings are rather new ones from Dulong Fine Jewelry but she already worn a number of times. Her black Mulberry handbag was a great addition to the classy outfit. The Prada boots we haven't seen in quite awhile. I love that she bring back all these old accessories.

Christmas Day

King Frederik and Queen Mary also attended a church service on Christmas Day. The church service took place at Vor Frue Church in Copenhagen. Both Crown Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine accompanied their parents.

Grey wide-legged trousers and a simple turtleneck jumper. What is not to like. I kinda fancy the light grey trousers with a darker top. The Harris Wharf London coat made it even more stylish. Mary accessorized the outfit with matching reused heeled boots. I have never been able to identify them. Maybe one day.

Her fine black leather handbag is the same worn as the previous day. It is from Mulberry. Looks great with the black leather gloves. The diamond earrings are from Sophie Bille Brahe.

One Health conference

November 05, 2025

When she arrived at the UN City in Copenhagen the Queen was warmly welcomed by Danish Minister for Food, Agriculture and Fisheries Jacob Jensen and Head of Department at the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration Hanne Larsen. Special Representative for the WHO Regional Office for EuropeRobb Butler also welcomed the Queen upon her arrival.

Queen Mary was about to attend the opening of the One Health conference. A conference that brings together experts from the EU. They all represent each their profession in human, animal, and environmental health. The conference was to discuss the prevention of diseases, securing of healthy food across borders and protection of the environment.

The last five years or so Mary has come to love a good old suit. I like to say that it has become her "go-to". Mary has a wide range of different suits in all colors and silhouettes. I do like her in suits but I'd love to see her wear some of her other clothes as well.

This fine suit is a new one from Andiata. She paired it with what I believe it a reused soft blue blouse. I am not able to identify it. Kinda like the color match and different fabrics combined. Mary had chosen to accessorized the outfit with beloved black ankle boots from Gianvito Rossi and her stunning brown leather handbag from Max Mara.

Her beautiful white south sea pearl ring is a masterpiece created by Dulong Fine Jewelry. It turns out that the elegant earrings are from the same designer.

Day 2. Official visit to Egypt

November 02, 2025

Visit at the pyramids in Giza

The Queen arrived in Giza yesterday to atten the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.

First thing in the morning on her second day in Egypt, Mary enjoyed the sight of the Giza pyramids. She was even given the chance to see the inside of The Great Pyramid of Giza. Literally, she touch thousands of years of history with her hands. What a morning!

Mary embraced the most casual outfit. She matched a soft blue button-down with slim beige trousers and a shawl. The blouse has been identified as a new one from POLO Ralph Lauren. Very similar t another one of her blue denim shirts.

A closer look revealed that she styled the outfit with a reused brown leather belt from BOSS and her Jerome Dreyfuss phone pouch.

Visit at the Grand Egyptian Museum

Having visited the grand pyramids she continued her tour at the Grand Egyptian Museum. She was accompanied by Minister of Foregine Affairs Lars LĆøkke Rasmussen.

They were introduced to meet the famous Tutankhamun's coffin and golden death mask. It must have been treasured moment in her life.

Before going to the Grand Egyptian Museum to met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Lars LĆøkke Rasmussen, Mary made a quick change. She was wearing a brand new blouse and matching green trousers from Zimmermann. Tell me it dosen't look comfortable. Love the loose fit and how she accessorized it with different textures like the brown leather belt from Max Mara.

The golden earrings are beloved ones from Dulong Fine Jewelry and the necklace is created by the talented Rebekka Notkin. She also mastered her golden bangle. Mary's two other bracelets are from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Meeting the President of Egypt

Before she was headed home to Copenhagen Mary met one last time with the President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi at the presidential palace in Cairo. Lars LĆøkke Rasmussen also had the opportunity to greet the President for his hospitality.

Mary wore a beautiful bordeaux outfit when meeting with the President at the presidential palace. She had chosen a most beloved Jesper HĆøvring blouse and paired it with a stunning floral printed maxi skirt. It has yet not been identified. Maybe one day I am able to tell where it is from.

The cool leather belt was found not that long ago at & Other Stories. The smashing golden earrings are from Rebekka Notkin. It perfectly matched her necklace as from the designer and collection. Mary also styled her look with a custom-made ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

For the first time today we have a photo showing her entire body. It makes it possible for me to tell that she wore Gianvito Rossi pumps.

Danish National Symphony Orchestra's 100th anniversary

October 30th, 2025

King Frederik and Queen Mary were invited as guests of honor to attend the 100th anniversary of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra

The anniversary was celebrated with the Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 8. The magical night took place in DR Koncerthus. Mahler's symphony was performed by DR's Concert Choir, BBC Singers and Copenhagen Boy's Choir.

The royal couple also met with Chief conductor Fabio Luisi in the Royal Chamber.

Mary looked beautiful in a reused Max Mara jumpsuit. She first wore the dusty pink jumpsuit in 2019 when attending the Danish Rainbow Awards. I really like the different textures and a wonderful color next to her dark brown hair and fair skin.

I love that she chose to match the outfit with pink diamond earrings. Makes her sparkle as a moviestar. I have never been able to identify where they are from but I think they could have been purchased at an auction like Bruun Rasmussen. Looks like Mary was also wearing a golden ring but that's about it what I can tell.

The pink satin clutch from Bottega Veneta has been in her wardrobe for many years. Since 2010 to be exact. Some things never goes out of style. The same goes with the suede pointed pumps from Gianvito Rossi. I'm always impressed how she manage to style colors from different brands with such perfection.

Day 2. Official state visit to Latvia

October 29th, 2025

King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived in Riga yesterday to attend an official state visit to Latvia

The state visit marks the beginning of the Royal Couple's travels to the three Baltic countries and focuses on the close cooperation between Denmark and Latvia in culture, security and common European values.

Before a visit at the Ä€daži Military Base the couple paid a visit to the Ādaži Gymnasium. The King and Queen met class students engaged in a mandatory educational course on national defence.

Around noon the couple visited the Danish military base Camp Valdemar. It house around 700 Danish soldiers. Some of them got the opportunity to meet the royal couple.

I'm not quite sure this is my "all-time favorite" outfit of hers but I adore the combination of colors and different materials. Wool and leather are a great match. Mary wore a brand new Massimo Dutti jacket over a reused down vest from Uniqlo and a plum turtleneck. The elegant wool skirt is a new one from Max Mara. The cool leather belt is from Max Mara too.

If we look a little closer we'll find her wearing golden Dulong Fine Jewellery earrings and a matching golden bangle featuring diamonds. We also got a glimpse of her beloved Cartier watch. It has followed her for many years.

Mary also embraced the outfit with matching leather gloves and chic black leather boots from Gianvito Rossi.

Reception

In the afternoon, King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted a reception at the Latvian National Museum of Art. Guests invited represented the Danish-Latvian relations and cooperation within defence, politics, culture and trade.

Somehow I had high hopes for a dress for the evening event but Mary chose a bright green suit from Alberta Ferreti and black accessories. I'm glad she chose a colorful suit and not just a black one. Makes it a bit more exciting. Especially because of the green jewellery.

The stunning green emerald and diamond earrings are purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction. The brooch looks very similar in style but she has indeed never worn this brooch before. I'm so curious to know. Can you enlighten me? Her fine ring is a creation by Annikat. Once again she wore Gianvito Rossi shoes. Black patent leather pumps.
