Day 1. Official state visit to Estonia
January 27, 2026
You may have noticed my absence the last couple of months. Apologies. I'll try to catch up with everything that has happened since end of January.
On January 27th, the King and Queen arrived in Estonia to attend a two-days official state visit. The royal couple were officially welcomed in Tallinn by President of Estonia, Alar Karis and the First Lady, Sirje Karis at the City Hall Square.
The Presidential Couple accompanied King Frederik and Queen Mary when paying their respect at the Monument to the War of Independence. They also visited the Memorial of the Victims of Communism.
Later on, the royal couple met with the Prime Minister of Estonia and Speaker of the Estonian Parliament.
I always loved a good old tweed fabric. The woven texture is one of my personal favourites. Mary's beautiful new dress is created by Danish tailor Lasse Spangenberg. The detailing are simply amazing. I don't even have to comment further. Have a look and admire the splendid work of his. Her fine coat is a reuse from Max Mara.
Her new headpiece is by Danish milliner Katrin Cecilia Jacobsen. On her social media she posted the headpiece in-the-making. What a treat! Turns out fabric from the dress is braided in with navy blue silk.
I'm sure you noticed the stunning sapphire and diamond brooch. It is called the vandflodsbrochen or the flood sapphire brooch. The brooch is part of the Danish Royal Property Trust and once belonged to Queen Marie Sophie Frederikke - wife of Frederik VI. It is dated back to around 1840.
Mary then accessorized her outfit with a chic brown leather handbag from Anya Hindmach. Her fine dark blue suede boots are new ones from Gianvito Rossi.

State Banquet in St. Nicholas Church
After a long day, the King and Queen were invited as guest of honor to attend a concert and state banquet in St. Nicholas Church. The events were hosted by the Presidential Couple.
This is exactly what I needed! Mary looked absolutely smashing at the evening events in her floor-length gown. It is told to be from Prada but I've never seen or read any evidence of that claim which is why I only share what I've heard. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful gown.
She matched it with huge diamond earrings purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction some years back. Don't know about you but I was thrilled to see her wedding tiara. Especially with her flowing soft curly hair.
Mary also embraced the style with a beloved old satin box clutch from Prada and fine matching pumps from Gianvito Rossi.
