Day 1. Official state visit to Estonia

January 27, 2026

You may have noticed my absence the last couple of months. Apologies. I'll try to catch up with everything that has happened since end of January.

On January 27th, the King and Queen arrived in Estonia to attend a two-days official state visit. The royal couple were officially welcomed in Tallinn by President of Estonia, Alar Karis and the First Lady, Sirje Karis at the City Hall Square.

The Presidential Couple accompanied King Frederik and Queen Mary when paying their respect at the Monument to the War of Independence. They also visited the Memorial of the Victims of Communism.

Later on, the royal couple met with the Prime Minister of Estonia and Speaker of the Estonian Parliament.

I always loved a good old tweed fabric. The woven texture is one of my personal favourites. Mary's beautiful new dress is created by Danish tailor Lasse Spangenberg. The detailing are simply amazing. I don't even have to comment further. Have a look and admire the splendid work of his. Her fine coat is a reuse from Max Mara.

Her new headpiece is by Danish milliner Katrin Cecilia Jacobsen. On her social media she posted the headpiece in-the-making. What a treat! Turns out fabric from the dress is braided in with navy blue silk.

I'm sure you noticed the stunning sapphire and diamond brooch. It is called the vandflodsbrochen or the flood sapphire brooch. The brooch is part of the Danish Royal Property Trust and once belonged to Queen Marie Sophie Frederikke - wife of Frederik VI. It is dated back to around 1840.

Mary then accessorized her outfit with a chic brown leather handbag from Anya Hindmach. Her fine dark blue suede boots are new ones from Gianvito Rossi.

State Banquet in St. Nicholas Church

After a long day, the King and Queen were invited as guest of honor to attend a concert and state banquet in St. Nicholas Church. The events were hosted by the Presidential Couple.

This is exactly what I needed! Mary looked absolutely smashing at the evening events in her floor-length gown. It is told to be from Prada but I've never seen or read any evidence of that claim which is why I only share what I've heard. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful gown.

She matched it with huge diamond earrings purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction some years back. Don't know about you but I was thrilled to see her wedding tiara. Especially with her flowing soft curly hair.

Mary also embraced the style with a beloved old satin box clutch from Prada and fine matching pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

Day 1. Official State visit to Latvia

October 28, 2025

Official welcoming ceremony

King Frederik and Queen Mary have arrived in Riga Latvia. The state visit marks the beginning of the Royal Couple's travels to the three Baltic countries and focuses on the close cooperation between Denmark and Latvia in culture, security and common European values. The visit will last from October 28th to 29th.

Latvian President Edgars Rinkēvičs welcomed the couple to Riga Castle where the official welcoming ceremony took place. The King and Queen also had the opportunity to meet with the Danish and Latvian delegations.

The couple also visited with Moment of Liberty, the Latvian Occupation Museum and participated a guided tour in Riga's Art Nouveau district.

Mary looked absolutely stunning in her navy blue coat. It was created by talented Danish designer Søren Le Schmidt. Mary first wore the coat at the 80th anniversary of Denmark's liberation in May. Later that month she wore it celebrating her husband's birthday. In Latvia she had chosen to add a Max Mara belt which I kinda like but it makes her look a bit too thin.

The sunning headpiece matched the coat beautifully. Milliner Katrin Cecilia Jacobsen created this incredible piece of headwear. Amazing work.

She accessorized the outfit with exclusive pearl earrings and a matching brooch. Both pieces are part of the Danish Pearl Poiré Parure. The set also comes with another brooch, a necklace and a tiara. The custom-made pearl ring made by Dulong Fine Jewelry was a great addition to the old inherited jewellery.

Her fine leather clutch is a reuse from Quidam. When they arrived in Riga Mary wore polished Prada pumps. Later, she changed to a pair of black Gianvito Rossi boots and a black woolen coat. The paisley scarf is also a reuse.

Evening banquet

President Edgars Rinkēvičs hosted an evening banquet at Riga Castle with King Frederik and Queen Mary as guests of honor. The King gave a speech prior to the dinner being service.

The King was awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of the Three Stars - Latvia's highest military order. The Queen received the Grand Cross of the Order of the Three Stars. The President was awarded the Order of the Elephant - Denmark's finest order.

Mary first wore the incredible red gown at the New Year's Eve Banquet in January 2018. It is tailored by Søren Le Schmidt. I love when she is wearing bright colors. Looks great with her brown hair and fair skin. Somehow I think she gown looks better with a full up-do. Can't really tell why but I think it suits the gown better. What are your thoughts?

She styled the smashing silk gown with a tiara purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction back in 2015. It can be worn both as a tiara and a necklace. The earrings have never been identified but she has worn them numerous times as a set to the tiara.

Her golden bracelet once belonged to Queen Louise. It was her engagement bracelet. I am so sure Mary's huge diamond ring is the same one Queen Margrethe wore on her first official portrait as Queen of Denmark in 1972.

Looks like Mary's pumps are the same colors as her gown. Either in suede or silk. The bordeaux clutch is a reuse from Sergio Rossi.

On board Danneborg

May 07, 2025

King Frederik and Queen Mary have now boarded the Royal Yacht from Nordre Toldbod in Copenhagen. The annual summer tour has officially begun.

The royal couple sailed from Nordre Toldbold to Helsingør on board Dannebrog. They were warmly welcomed at Kronborg Castle. The yacht will act os their residence during the summer.

This year King Frederik and Queen Mary will be visiting Frederikshavn, Thisted, Læsø and Samsø as part of their summer tour. Each year they visit different Danish cities just like Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik did before them.

Mary looked absolutely stunning in her reused Erdem dress! The soft blue color and the print are simply beautiful. I love the detailing with the collar, pleated skirt and puffy sleves. She matched the amazing midi-dress with an old Scanlan & Theodore jacket. I am not quite sure I would have chosen the same jacket with this dress but I like the idea.

She also embraced the style with an outstanding creation from milliner Katrin Cecilia Jacobsen. The shape of her hat is what I like most about it. Super classy and chic. Timeless and elegant. Mary added fine diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and a smashing diamond ring. I am still to identify it.

The same goes with her clutch. It is a reuse but I have never been able to find out about the designer. Maybe one day. A wonderful match with the beige python pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

80th anniversary of Denmark's liberation

04 May 2025

This year we mark the 80th anniversary of Denmark's liberation. King Frederik and Queen Mary attended a church service along with Queen Margrethe and Princess Benedikte at Vor Frue Church in Copenhagen on the occasion of the anniversary.

The four of them also attended a memorial service at Mindelunden at Ryvangen in Hellerup.

Both Queen Mary, Queen Margrethe and King Frederik had chosen to wear similar blue coloured outfits. Princess Benedikte was the only one wearing another colour: a beautiful and bright purple.

Mary was wearing a brand new bespoke dress by Danish designer Søren Le Schmidt. It is similar to the purple one worn at the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla in 2023. She matched the stunning blue dress with an elegant new headband created by talented milliner Katrin Cecilie Jacobsen. A new favourite of hers?

I'm really interested in learning more about her diamond earrings but for now they are unidentified. The incredible diamond and pearl brooch is part of the Danish Pearl Poiré Parure. Dulong Fine Jewelry mastered the white pearl ring. The navy blue clutch is from Carlend Copenhagen.

At the church service at Vor Frue Church Mary wore a pair of beige pointed python pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Later on she changed to a pair of new suede heeled boots also from Gianvito Rossi.

Day 1. Official visit to Germany

21 October 2024

Arriving to Germany

On October 21st-22nd, the Royal Couple will pay an official visit to Germany and the Danish minority in Schleswig-Holstein on occasion of the proclamation in January.

King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived by plain in Berlin earlier this morning. They were warmly welcomed at the airport by President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Büdenbender.

I have only been able to see a couple of photos from their arrival in Berlin, when leaving the plain. Looks like Mary is wearing a simple white blouse, navy blue trousers and a matching long coat. The photos I have seen are all blurry, so it's difficult for me to say anything for sure about brands.

She styled her travel outfit with comfortable Prada boots, a reused Ralph Lauren bag and a brand new headband created by Katrin Cecilia Jacobsen. A closer look revealed that she was in fact also wearing her beautiful printed Etro belt. I really look forward to the next couple of days!

First day in Germany

After their arrival, the royal couple were officially welcomed by President of the Federal Republic of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and his wife Elke Büdenbender in their residence at Schloss Bellevue.

The official welcoming ceremony was followed by a meeting with the Bärbel Bas, President of the Bundestag. They were given a guided tour around the Reichstag.

In the afternoon, King Frederik and Queen Mary met with representatives from the five nordic countries - with Germany as host, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Nordic embassy facility in Berlin. Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel from Sweden and Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit also attended the anniversary, along with Finland and Iceland's Presidents.

Have we seen this outfit before? Yes, we have. When the couple visited Norway back in May, Mary wore the exact same Jesper Høvring blouse, checkered Emilie Wickstead skirt and nude pointed Prada pumps. E Even the leather clutch from Prada is the same. Something, I think this time in Germany suits her way better. Think it is the 60's vibe that captures we. The soft blue coat matched everything perfectly!

Somehow, milliner Katrin Cecilia Jacobsen managed to create a headband in the same color and fabric as her beautiful Jesper Høvring blouse. That is truly impressive. Mary also styled her dreamy princess-look with large golden Rebekka Notkin earrings and a diamond ring.

I am enchanted by her wonderful outfit. Although we have are in end of October and autumn has already arrived, the soft pastel colors are still incredibly beautiful.

Official dinner

President of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier hosted a prestiges official dinner at the Schloss Bellevue accompanied by his beautiful wife, Elke Büdenbender. The dinner also gathered royals from both Sweden and Norway and Presidents.

It was wonderful to see of them together: King Frederik, Queen Mary, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit.

Both the President of the Federal Republic of Germany and King Frederik gave a speech at the dinner.

I was breathless when I saw the first photos of Mary's evening outfit at the official dinner! She looked marvelous in her brand new bright red gown from Carolina. Herrera. It's so simple, yet detailed. The cap-sleeves, belt and tailoring are outstanding.

Mary embraced the outfit with her wedding earrings created by Dulong Fine Jewelry in company with King Frederik. It was his morning gift to his (then) future wife. Dulong Fine Jewelry also mastered the elegant white pearl ring. We all noticed her massive pearl bracelet. It features the portrait of Queen Josefina of Sweden-Norway. It is part of The Danish Royal Property Trust stored at Rosenborg Castle in Copenhagen.

She matched the white pearl with a brand new Anya Hindmarch clutch. Truly incredible accessory. Such as the bright red satin pumps from Rupert Sanderson. Think I love pretty much everything of tonight's outfit. Even the hairstyle is perfect.

Flag Day 2024

05 September 2024

Every year on September 5th, we honor those who are or have been missioned abroad. To honor their professional effort in some of the worlds areas of conflict.

The royal couple have been attending the Flag Day for many years. This is their first as King and Queen of Denmark. They attended a ceremony at Kastellet in Copenhagen and honored Danish soldiers who died or are lost in battle with a wreath.

Afterwards, the King and Queen joined a memorial service at Holmens Church.

This is an event that deserves a moment of silence. The course deserves to be the main focus. With Flag Day we honor Danish soldiers sent abroad to fight. Danish soldiers who have died or may be lost in battle. To their friends and families. I don't feel like commeting on style and fashion today. It is about much more important things. Let it speak for itself.

One minute in silence...

Summer tour with Dannebrog

Day 4. Vejle

22 August 2024

A day in Vejle

King Frederik and Queen Mary have arrived to Vejle. Dannebrog docked in Vejle harbour and the couple were warmly welcomed. The official welcoming took place at the city hall.

They paid a visit to Kong Gauers Gård which is both a daycare and nursing home. It was a wonderful to see how everybody lit up when they saw the King and Queen. Both young and old.

Lunch was enjoyed at Fjordenhus. After a great lunch, the couple visited Welcon. Welcon primarily work with constructions in steel for the international renewable energy sector based on wind turbines. In connection to that, they visited Vejle Climate park and The Flying kayak club.

Mary really looked beautiful when the couple visited Vejle! I love how she matched blue with blue - and a little dusty pink. Makes a stunning outfit. The elegant blouse is a reuse from Proenza Shoulder and the fine skirt is Baum und Pferdgarden. Also a reuse. Her short black coat is from Prada and the long beige trenchcoat is a new one from Harris Wharf London. She first wore it yesterday in Assens.

She styled the outfit with an amazing new wide-brimmed hat. Who feels the 60's vibe? She has a similar one from Susanne Juul which makes me think it cloud be her design as well.

Look closer and you will se quite a few pieces of jewellery. A golden bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry, a huge diamond ring and delicate diamond earrings.

I mentioned dusty pink accessories as well. Her magnificent Gianvito Rossi sling-backs and leather handbag from Max Mara made the look even more sparkeling. Later on, she changed to a pair of Prada ballet flats.

Reception on board Dannebrog

Last but not least, the royal couple hosted one last reception on board Dannebrog with specially invited guest from Vejle. A great way to end a wonderful summer tour!

Somehow, I am more impressed by her evening reception outfits and this one is outstanding! Mary was wearing a brand new Saloni dress. The details are exquisite. She wears it with such perfection. A simple white dress with lovely floral embroidery. What is not to like?

She matched the new dress with simplified earrings from the Queen Ingrid's ruby parure. We also get a glimpse of her Halberstadt and Dulong Fine Jewelry, such as a diamond ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.
