01 March 2023
For three days, the Crown Prince Couple have been accompanied by a business delegation of 36 Danish companies in India. They are attending a business promotion visit to promote the green transition with main focus on water and energy.
On their last day, they split up during the day and had jobs to do on their own. While Crown Prince Frederik visited IIT Madras Research Park, his wife visited the Larsen & Toubro - an Indian based engineering company that work with both industry, energy, electronics, IT, construction, etc. The Crown Princess also visited the Henning Holck-Larsen Museum located next to Larsen & Toubro's Headquarters in Chennai.
Crown Princess Mary also paid a visit to the Headquarters of Grundfos. The reason for her visit was a seminar on water sector cooperation between Denmark and India. The Crown Princess gave a speech at the opening of the seminar.
The couple accompanied each other when they were welcomed by Tamil Nadu's Governor H.E. R. N. Ravi.
In the evening, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a final reception to end the business promotion with style. The business delegation from Denmark also attended the reception. The commitment between Denmark and Tamil Nadu was celebrated. After the reception followed a dinner with Grundfos. They celebrate their 25th anniversary doing business in India.

During the day in Chennai, India
Those of you who have followed Style of Mary for some time will know that I am totally in love with suits. Especially, when Mary wears them. I get chills every time she chooses to wear one of her suits - or just color matching outfits. Looks good on her. This brown suit is no exception. Just look at her! Isn't that an incredible outfit? Actually, she has worn the trousers once before, when attending the launch of UNFPA's "State of World Population Report 2022" (here). But the blazer is never seen before. I learned that Mary's blazer is also from marvelous Max Mara. The same goes with her new white blouse as well. Can't get enough of this outfit. Wauw.
Mary embraced the look with some smashing pieces of jewellery. She repeated wearing necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. If the symbolism is what we have come to believe, then it is even more precious. We get a glimpse of a diamond bangle from Ole Lynggard Copenhagen and a beautifully crafted ring from Rebekka Notkin as well. Of course - the earrings. At the moment, I do not know a thing about them.
When Mary first wore the Malone Souliers heels, I was no fan (at all!). Thought they looked a bit odd and funny. I changed my mind. This is a perfect example of how much ones mind can change, when a piece of accessory is worn differently.

At the final reception and anniversary dinner
In the evening, Mary had changed to something a bit more glamorous. She had chosen an old custom-made dress made by Søren Le Schmidt. She first wore it for the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes award show in 2020 (here). I like it a bit more this time. Don't know why but I do.
Mary was wearing stunning diamond and Aquamarine blue earrings once purchased on an Bruun Rasmussen auction. They go way back. She has worn them on a number of different occasions. Like, when visiting New York in 2005 (here) and in 2013, when Denmark hosted an official visit from Finland (here). Once again, she also wore her Halberstadt og Julie Sandlau necklaces. The diamond bangle from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen is also the same as earlier. She added a golden piece from Dulong Fine Jewelry as well.
A couple of days prior to the final reception, Mary accessories a look with her pink satin box clutch from Bottega Veneta (here). She repeated that success. The magnificent light grey satin pumps are delicate creations from Manolo Blahnik.
