Danish Warmblood Stallion Licensing 2026

March 06, 2026

The Danish Warmblood Stallion licensing is one of the largest equestrian events in Northern Europe. This year it took place within the first week of March in Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning. The event gathered some of the world's best dressage riders and Queen Mary was there with some close friends to watch it all.

Princess Benedikte was suppose to have attended the event but cancelled her presence. Maybe the Queen unofficially replaced her? Nevertheless, she was present for the show and following licensing and she was awfully welldressed. I don't even know where to begin...

On March 6th, she arrived in Jyske Bank Boxen dressed in a smashing reused denim jumper! (I want one right now). Mary first wore the piece last year at another dressage event in May. This year, she matched it with a new short Great Stockholm jacket. Love how she wore the sleeves. So cool.

Mary accessorized jumpsuit with a brown leather and her beloved Ralph Lauren bag. Hope she will we wearing the shoes soon again because I'm curious to see more. Plenty of jewellery from both Rebekka Notkin, Cartier and Sophie Bille Brahe made the deal for me. And of course, the Thierry Lasry sunglasses.

The following day, Queen Mary spend yet another day in Jyske Bank Boxen with good friends to watch more of the Danish Warmblood Stallion licensing. I was a huge fan of her outfit worn yesterday. Thought nothing could beat it. I was wrong.

On the second day in Herning, she showed up wearing the most incredible outfit. My heart stopped for a second. Just look at that combo of colors, fabrics and prints. Gosh!

Mary styled a pair of simple light blue denim jeans with a new printed blouse from ME+EM and a reused knitted Allude vest. Even more perfect is the brown Max Mara jacket matched with the jeans and floral print. Once again, she wore the cool leopard boots, leather belt and Ralph Lauren bag.

Pretty sure her earrings are Sophie Bille Brahe. Mary also repeated her choice of golden bracelets from Rebekka Notkin and beloved Cartier watch.

Day 2. Summer tour with Dannebrog

Thisted

August 26, 2025

Arrival in Hanstholm

King Frederik and Queen Mary have now arrived in Hanstholm. The couple were welcomed by Mayor Niels Jรธrgen Pedersen at Hanstholm Harbour where Dannebrog docked. They were officially welcomed at The Old City Hall in Thisted. Mayor Pedersen and his spouse accompanied the King and Queen on the carriage ride from the harbour to the city hall.

The royal couple then visited Naturlandsbyen (the natur village) where they also enjoyed lunch. Followed a visit at Surf & Work and The landing site in Vorupรธr.

I love the idea of a summery outfit! That dusty-colored printed ME+EM dress is simply remarkable - especially for the event. The hat was a wonderful addition to match the softness of the dress. It goes way back in time to when she was pregnant with Crown Prince Christian in 2005. Mary also did a great job with the other accessories: stunning powder pink sling-back heels from Gianvito Rossi and later ballet flats from Prada. What is not to like? Even her Max Mara handbag matched perfect in color. BUT...

She lost me when choosing a black chopped jacket. Indeed I like the Prada jacket but not with this dress. I think it mix up the experience in an odd way. What was your first thoughts?

Mary also wore a number of different pieces of jewellery. Like the beautiful white south sea pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. A couple of bracelets (and her ring) from the same designer and Rebekka Notkin. Louise Grรธnlykke created her fine necklace. The sunglasses are from Thierry Lasry.

Reception

King Frederik and Queen Mary hosted an evening reception for invited guests from Thisted municipality. The reception took place at Dannebrog in Hanstholm Harbour.

Mary looked like a dream at the reception! She captured everybody in her brand new white ME+EM dress. It has such an elegant silhouette and the detailing is incredible. Just look at the sleeves. Can't wait to see when she is going to wear it again. I already imagine a fine dinner or evening event. The classy white coat is a reuse from BOSS.

What caught my eyes first is hair outstanding hairdo! Always loved when she is having these soft and curly hairstyles. Makes any outfit complete on a whole other level.

Pretty sure we have seen the diamond earrings before but I have never been able to identify the designer. Her beautiful Louise Grรธnlykke necklace and Rebekka Notkin bracelet are a wonderful match.

Summer in Grรฅsten

09 July 2024

Welcoming at Grรฅsten town square

King Frederik, Queen Mary and the twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine are staying at Grรฅsten Castle in Grรฅsten during the summer.

On July 09, the royal couple arrived in Grรฅsten and walked from the town square to the castle. They are greeted with flowers, smiles, flags and handshakes by the citizens of Grรฅsten.

The King and Queen were also officially welcomed by Sรธnderborg municipality's city council at the old town hall.

I really love Mary's new ME+EM dress! The soft green print. The length and small cap-sleeves. Its details are simply beautiful. Nothing less than the perfect summer dress. I am not quite sure I like the Canopy Bay by Deborah Hutton hat with the dress. Mary has so many stunning hats that would fit the look way better. What do you think?

She styled the outfit with reused peep-toe wedges from Tod's. Do you recall that Mary also wore them staying at Grรฅsten in 2015? Twice actually. At Grรฅsten Ring Riding Association parade and at the weekly changing of the guards a few days later.

The fine golden necklaces are from Halberstadt and Dulong Fine Jewelry. The last designer also created her diamond bracelet and wonderful ring.

Changing of the guards

Tradition tells that the Royal Lifeguard performe changing of the guards every Friday, when the ruling King (or Queen) are present at Grรฅsten Castle. This is King Frederik and Queen Mary's first changing of the guards at Grรฅsten as ruling couple.

I recall twice in her time as Crown Princess when she has worn a long cardigan and that wasn't even cardigans. In 2004, when attending the wedding of Rikke Juel and Michael Brandt, and at Princess Benedikte's 60th birthday. At the parade at Grรฅsten, Mary wore a brand new long Mirror in the Sky tie-dye cardigan. Haven't really embraced the tie-dye trend. Have you? She matched it with a plain while blouse and skirt.

She has become fond of wearing her golden diamond bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry and initial necklaces also from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Her second necklace is Halberstadt.

Her new sandals are identify as Arteana. Wish I could wearing such sandals, but my feet won't work with them properly. The sunglasses are from Thierry Lasry.

Changing of the guards

The royal family are staying at Grรฅsten Castle in Grรฅsten during the summer. Like many other, the family enjoy a well-deserved vacation from everyday duties. On July 19th, the family watched the weekly changing of the guards.

Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine spend time at Grรฅsten during their summer break from school. Queen Margrethe also arrived to Grรฅsten, which means that King Frederik and Queen Mary are now accompanied by Prince Gustav, his wife Princess Carina and their two children - Prince Gustav Albrecht and Princess Mafalda, Queen Margrethe and the twins.

Seems like Mary loves wearing maxi skirts this summer. First a simple white one on July 12th and a brand new one on July 19th. This new floral printed skirt has been identified as Forte Forte. I love the fine print of flowers - and the fact that it is matching her husbands purple braided belt!

She accessorized the outfit with golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a custom-made ring. The diamond necklace is Halberstadt. Looks like she is wearing two, but I haven't seen a photo of the second one. Not to tell which one she is wearing.

Her cool sandals are from Arteana.

Day 5. Visiting Vanuatu, Fiji and Australia

27 April 2023

Crown Princess Mary and Minster for Development corporation's and Global Climate politics Dan Jรธrgensen have accompanied each other every day both in Vanuatu and here in Fiji.

They also spend the fifth day together, when visiting Blackrock Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Camp. Blackrock is a training camp for those send on peacekeeping missions for UN. Blackrock also helps in others ways in relations to humanitarian crisis.

The Crown Princess and Dan Jรธrgensen were given inside in Blackrock's efforts and hard work.

Before leaving Fiji (and going to Australia), the two of them and the rest of the Danish delegation made just one more stop to a local village near the sea. The Crown Princess helped to plant a mangrove - trees and bushes which has adapted to grow in saltwater in tropics.

Honestly, I have mixed emotions about her outfits when visiting Vanuatu and Fiji. Some were good. Others... I like the idea of this outfit. Cooling linen, soft materials, something new, something old. Still, I think the new Polo Ralph Lauren jacket and that reused By Malene Birger midi skirt are not the best match. Primarily, because of the long lengths. Nevertheless, I love both pieces very much.

I am impressed how many pieces of jewellery she was wearing WITHOUT being overdressed. I see custom-made Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings (here, here), necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. Bracelets from both Dulong Fine Jewelry, Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and Rebekka Notkin. Love some colours for this very soft outfit.

Once again, she loved wearing her brown leather sandals from Gianvito Rossi and Thiery Lasry sunglasses.

FLYING TO SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

Fiji's Government thanked the Crown Princess for a wonderful visit and shared their little moment on social media. This was just before leaving Fiji and going to Sydney, Australia, where she will be spending her last day before going back to Denmark.

Somehow, I wish she would have worn this outfit during the day. I really like the way she belted that old creamy white linen blazer with her MaxMara leather belt and wore simple black trousers. The silhouette is better. More flattering.

She even matched the belt with her beloved luxurious leather bag from Ralph Lauren and tortoise-like Gucci glasses. Love it, when she wear colour-matching outfits. Mary wore the same custom-made earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and her necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. Such as an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond bracelet.

With a few more photos, I now know that Mary embraced the look with sling-back flats from Chanel.

Day 4. Visiting Vanuatu, Fiji and Australia

26 April 2023

Only one day left for her to be visiting her old hometown Sydney and only one day left to go home to her family in Denmark.

Crown Princess Mary and Minster for Development corporation's and Global Climate politics Dan Jรธrgensen, went for a little trip on the water. They boarded the traditional ship Uto Ni Yalo along with representatives from The Pacific Commonity.

After meeting with Fiji's President Sitiveni L. Rabuka, the Crown Princess and Executive Director for UNFPA Natalia Kanem visited "Fiji Disabled Peoples Federation". They were given an inside in their work with vulnerable people with a handicap. She also handed over "dignity kits" developed to people with handicaps in humanitarian crisis.

Later on, she attended an event with BOGA - the Beyond Oil and Gas Alliance. She ended her day at the University of the South Pacific.

I am more than pleased with her beautiful outfit worn on her second day in Fiji. Look at that stunning Stella Jean dress. Mary has worn the dress before. First in 2017, when Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik celebrated their golden wedding anniversary (here). Since then, the designer hunted me. Not that long ago, I accidentally cam across the Stella Jean dress. A perfect match. Lovely accessorized with the brown leather belt.

Mary embraced her look with reused pieces of jewellery. Both the Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces have been worn since she arrived in Vanuatu. Such as the bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry, Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and Rebekka Notkin.

She added just a few new pieces. Like the delicate and elegant Marlene Juhl-Jรธrgensen earrings. Did you know that they go back 2009 (here)? The colourful Dulong Fine Jewelry ring was also a magnificent choice!

She changed shoes from beige ballet flats from Chloe heeled to brown leather sandals from Gianvito Rossi during the day.

Sunglasses are beloved ones from Thierry Lasry and twisted hair tie is from Kknekki.

Day 1. Visiting Vanuatu, Fiji and Australia

23 April, 2023

Not that long ago, the royal court announced that the Crown Princess was going go visit Vanuatu, Fiji and Australia from April 23rd to 28th. The visit is centered around consequences from climate changed in the pacific region.

She is accompanied by the Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jรธrgensen.

On her first day, she visited Vanuatu who was just struck by two cyclones and two earthquakes. She and Dan Jรธrgensen attended a meeting with Vanuatu's minister of climate changes.

Later on, they paid a visit to locals at Pele Island. They suffered a great deal when the cyclones and earthquakes recently hit Vanuatu.

Minister for Development Cooperation and Global Climate Policy Dan Jรธrgensen also accompanied the Crown Princess, when she was briefed about the political situation on Vanuatu, Fiji and in the region of UN's delegation in the Pacific.

Mary looked beautiful during her day in Vanuatu. I still have not been identify either blouse or that brand new printed maxi skirt. Had a few ideas where to find it, but I was not lucky. Do you happen to recognize this amazing skirt?

She embraced the outfit with plenty of stunning accessories. I learned from UFO No More that her new blue beads earrings are from MaRe. I am not sure, I am the biggest fan but I love the fact that they matched the skirts hemline.

Mary also wore beloved necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. A close look revealed bracelets from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and Dulong Fine Jewelry. What looks like a bracelet, is a Kknekki hair tie.

Her golden ring is a custom-made piece by Dulong Fine Jewelry and that other diamond ring is an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen design.

A few photos showed her carrying a reused Chloe cross-body bag in brown leather. She topped it off with old snakeskin sandals from Prada.

Day 3. Business promotion visit in India

28 February 2023

A couple of days ago, the Crown Prince Couple arrived in India accompanied by a Danish business delegation of 36 Danish companies (here, here). The delegation are participating a business promotion visit with focus on the green transition centered around water and energy.

On their third day in India, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary first attended the opening of "Partners for Green and Sustainable Progress". The core of the business promotion visit. Crown Prince Frederik acted key note speaker and gave the official opening speech. "Partners for Green and Sustainable Progress" is a platform to gain insight in additional market opportunities and build knowledge of new partnerships and business opportunities in India.

Crown Prince Frederik then participated in different sessions at "Partners for Green and Sustainable Progress". Meanwhile, Crown Princess Mary paid a visit to All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences. She visited the hospital as patron of Maternity Foundation. She was given inside in the foundation's work in India, while visiting the hospital in New Delhi.

The royal couple also met with the participating Danish companies. All part of the Danish business delegation. Later on, India's President Droupadi Murma welcomed the Crown Prince Couple at the Presidential Residence.

I am not sure I had expected an outfit like this. Nothing wrong with it, I am just surprised she wore something so "casual". Maybe because she was to visit the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences hospital? Nevertheless, I really adore the match of her reused Etro coat with the plain black trousers and Hugo Boss blouse. Mary made it looks so elegant. Nothing overdressed about her. I am very curious to hear what you think about her outfit on day three.

Learned from UFO No More (here) that Mary's brand new black sling-back pumps are from Gianvito Rossi. It was love at first sight. I truly love these them Rossi shoes. Imagine them worn with a lighter dress or maybe some colors.

Somehow, we haven't been blessed with that many photos of her accessories from their time in India. So, we have to work with what we got. The delicate golden diamond earrings are stunning creations from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Have a faith of instinct that tells me that the long necklace is their design too. Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau are designers of her other two golden necklaces.

Look closely and you will see two Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen rings as well. In my dreams, I will one day own a leaf ring. Isn't it beautiful?

If you are lucky, you have seen a glimpse of a pink accessory in her hand - a clutch. It is a pink Vanessa Croco Clutch from Carlend Copenhagen. The same goes with her Thierry Lasry sunglasses. We only get a glimpse of them.

Day 1. Business promotion visit in India

26 February 2023

About fourteen days ago, it was announced that the Crown Prince Couple were going on a business promotion visit in India. That they would be accompanied by a larger business delegation of 36 Danish companies.

The main focus for this visit will be the green transition with special attention to water and energy. Several Danish politicians will also participate the delegation.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary arrived on February 26th. They were warmly welcomed (here).

First, they couple payed a visit to the famous marble monument, Taj Mahal. It is located close to the city of Agra. The monument was build from 1632 to 1653. It was the great mogul Shah Jahan who build Taj Mahal in honor of his late wife Mumtaz Mahal.

Followed was a visit to Agra Fort. The Fort is surrounded by a 2 kilometer wall. The Crown Prince Couple were given a guided tour around the Agra Fort. They were introduced to more than 1,000 years of history. Agra Fort is yet another great masterpiece by the great mogul Shah Jahan.

Usually, the couple arrive in silence. Often we see nothing from the arrival, but when they arrived in India they were warmly welcomed and a photo was taken - and later posted. It shows Mary wearing a wonderful and casual outfit. I truly adore these private outfits of hers. They make the greatest inspiration to me. She looked beautiful in a reused Imperial Fashion blazer and a beloved Athรฉ by Vanessa Bruno blouse. The soft white linen trousers were an elegant match. Her tortoise-like glasses are from Gucci and the classy sling-back flats are the iconic design by Chanel.

When later visiting the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort, Mary changed outfit. She has worn the outfit before on a work visit in Ethiopia in 2019 (here). I am not sure, I was ever a true fan but for this visit it worked with perfection. The paisley printed skirt is from Etro. She paired it was a simple white button-down blouse and a raffia belt. I really want to be able to identify that belt, but I have not been lucky just yet.

Mary embraced the look with plenty of amazing golden jewellery. The main designer of her jewellery are from the Danish brand Dulong Fine Jewelry. They custom-made some of the pieces. Among others, the colorful beaded bracelet and the rather large golden ring.

For quite some time, I have been looking to identify some new necklaces of hers. I know you have all been loving her new 'F' necklace. Halberstadt turned out to be the creator. I was able to identify it a while ago. I learned about her medallion necklace from Heaven. The stunning (personalized) piece is from Julie Sandlau.

We already know about the Thierry Lasry shades. Seems to be one of her favourite pairs. A the moment, I have no idea where to find her brand new espadrille wedge sandals. Any ideas? They do a smashing combo with the rest of the outfit.

Day 2. Business promotion visit in Vietnam

02 November 2022

The Crown Prince Couple had already had a wonderful first day in Hanoi, Vietnam, mostly joined by each other. On their second day, the couple also spend time on their own.

In the morning, Crown Princess Mary visited Xuan Thanh Cement Factory, which is one of the largest cement factories in the world. The Xuan Thanh Cement Factory are working together with the Danish company FLSmidt, who helped them develop to become a more energy efficient company. Crown Princess Mary was introduced to some of the solutions on how to make the cement industry more energy efficient, when producing the cement.

Later on, she and representative from the Danish business delegation (who are accompanying the Crown Prince Couple in Vietnam) met with the The People's Committee from Hร  Nams.

Crown Princess Mary also was given inside in on of LEGO's "Build the Change"-workshops. The workshop is all about strengthing children's creativity, ability to problem solve and how they communicate. During the visit, she met with students participating one of LEGO's workshops. All in the age between nine and ten.

The Crown Princess visiting Tam Chรบc

During her second day in Vietnam, Mary had chosen a wonderful outfit. Summery and light. Not something you would wear in Denmark at the moment. Nevertheless, Mary looked stunning in her old Elise Gug blouse and Paul & Joe skirt. This is truly "how to look luxurious" with only two pieces. A combo like this is easy to wear and always a winner.

Her adding bright red suede Gianvito Rossi pumps to her outfit, made it even more outstanding. I LOVE when she wears colourful accessories. Especially, shoes. Makes the outfit stand out in a more elegant and classy way. And they matched the skirt. Even the Hugo Boss handbag matched with both shoes and skirt, because of the smashing red leather.

As jewellery, she wore only golden pieces. I see two rings crafted by Dulong Fine Jewelry. They are also the creators of that white pearl bracelet. Meanwhile, Rebekka Notkin is the designer of her golden cuff. We get a sneak peak of a necklace. I believe it is the same necklace as she wore the day before. The one with the children's initials. Somehow, my mind believes it is reversible. Golden at one side. Black on the other.

Her earrings are reused as well, but I have never been able to identify them. Last, but not least we have her beautiful Thierry Lasry sunglasses.
