Presented with the Greenlandic Self-Government's Gold Medal 'Nersornaat'

Queen Mary was honored with the Greenlandic Self-Government's Gold Medal 'Nersornaat'. It was handed over to her by the Chairwoman of Greenland's Government Inatsisartut Mimi Karlsen on June 5th at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg.

She was given the medal as a proof of her yearlong commitment to children and young people's well-being in Greenland.

The metal shows a polarbeer on one side with the inscription Kalaallit Nunaat (meaning Greenland) and on the other side a yellow arctic poppy and the inscription Nersornaat (deserved).

When receiving the prestiges golden medal, Mary looked amazing in a simple white button-down and brand new jacquard skirt from Lunatica Milano! Just look at the details. I absolutely adore how she matched two such different fabrics. Makes a wonderful outfit. It is not the first time Mary has made this combo: elegant skirt and plain blouse. Like, when she attended the opening of 'Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2018.' Or at 'Copenhagen 2021' in Fællesparken in 2021.

I love how she styled the outfit with old Marlene Juhl-Jørgensen earrings. Mary first wore them in 2009, when visiting Prince Joachim and Princess Marie at Rigshospitalet, congratulating them with their firstborn - Prince Henrik. Her other golden jewellery are from both Dulong Fine Jewelry, Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau.

Her glasses are from Gucci. What pair of shoes do you think she wore with this outfit? - my guess would be nude or beige pointed pumps.

Day 4. Visiting Vanuatu, Fiji and Australia

Only one day left for her to be visiting her old hometown Sydney and only one day left to go home to her family in Denmark.

Crown Princess Mary and Minster for Development corporation's and Global Climate politics Dan Jørgensen, went for a little trip on the water. They boarded the traditional ship Uto Ni Yalo along with representatives from The Pacific Commonity.

After meeting with Fiji's President Sitiveni L. Rabuka, the Crown Princess and Executive Director for UNFPA Natalia Kanem visited "Fiji Disabled Peoples Federation". They were given an inside in their work with vulnerable people with a handicap. She also handed over "dignity kits" developed to people with handicaps in humanitarian crisis.

Later on, she attended an event with BOGA - the Beyond Oil and Gas Alliance. She ended her day at the University of the South Pacific.

I am more than pleased with her beautiful outfit worn on her second day in Fiji. Look at that stunning Stella Jean dress. Mary has worn the dress before. First in 2017, when Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik celebrated their golden wedding anniversary (here). Since then, the designer hunted me. Not that long ago, I accidentally cam across the Stella Jean dress. A perfect match. Lovely accessorized with the brown leather belt.

Mary embraced her look with reused pieces of jewellery. Both the Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces have been worn since she arrived in Vanuatu. Such as the bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry, Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and Rebekka Notkin.

She added just a few new pieces. Like the delicate and elegant Marlene Juhl-Jørgensen earrings. Did you know that they go back 2009 (here)? The colourful Dulong Fine Jewelry ring was also a magnificent choice!

She changed shoes from beige ballet flats from Chloe heeled to brown leather sandals from Gianvito Rossi during the day.

Opening of the Parliament 2021

Every year on the first Tuesday in October, most of the Danish royal family are gathered to attend the opening of the Parliament. This year, Princess Benedikte arrived first to Christiansborg. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary followed her and last arriving to the opening was Queen Margrethe.

All four of them, were welcomed with smiles and handshakes. Both Princess Benedikte, Crown Princess Mary and Queen Margrethe were each given a bouquet of flowers at the arrival. Speaker of Parliament Pia Kjærsgaard was one of the first to welcome them.

From the royal balcony in the parliament hall, the four of them watched the opening of the Parliament. This day is to mark the coming of a new year for the Parliament after their summer holiday.

All ladies (and Crown Prince Frederik) were beautifully dressed for the occasion. Princess Benedikte in her burgundy coat, Queen Margrethe in her bright red blazer and matching hat and of course Mary in that black "suit".

Mary's black wrap jacket is a Scanlan & Theodore design. Often, we have had the discussion if it is in fact a blouse or a jacket. The designer describe it as a jacket. That is my opinion as well. It works perfectly as a jacket. She matched it with a pair of wide-legged trousers. Usually, her outfits are a bit more glamorous.  Like in 2019 (here) or in 2014 (here). This look is way more business-like. Something she would normally wear for an event. Maybe I had higher hopes. Nevertheless, Mary look stunning at the opening.

At UFO No More, I learned that her new burgundy skull cap is from Jane Taylor. I see great potential. Do you like it? She styled it with a matching suede Hugo Boss clutch and pointed Prada pumps. Honestly, I never had a crouch on these pumps, but somehow she makes it work every single time.

Then Kate finally managed to indemnity her lovely checkered gloves. They happen to be from Prada. Mary wore these gloves, among others, when she visited Moldova in 2016 (here). Only wearing (and caring the other one) one glove, we got a glimpse of her beloved black south sea pearl ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Mary also wore an old pair of Marlene Juhl Jørgensen diamond studded earrings and a golden brooch featuring a centered purple stone.

The Designers' Nest & Designers Nest Award 2015

For a second my heart stopped when I saw the first photos from the Designers' Nest Award. I had a hard time breathing because the Crown Princess looked simply stunning. Every single component perfectly matched -classic with a twist of something modern. To me she was on the top of the game! At the arrival the Crown Princess was welcomed with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Later, after the show, Crown Princess Mary graced the runway herself to hand over a huge bouquet to the winner Swedish Sara Lundberg from the Swedish School of Textiles. When she was photographed with Sara, she was one big smile just as the winner. The two women had a little chat. I am sure Mary congratulated Sara Lundberg with the award.

We can't overlook that she was wearing that gorgeous new long vest. They are so trendy right now. I think we will see many of them during fall. I considered to buying one myself. Now I might actually do it. Mary convinced me with hers which has been identified as a Fonnesbech (SS15) creation. This is the first time we see her in their design. I really cannot describe why I like this new vest so much, but Mary with her brown hair wear it so beautifully. Notice the orange belt and lining. What a stunning detail. Maybe you think you have seen both the vest and the combination Mary wore at the Designers' Nest; you are actually on to something. One of my most dedicated readers told me a very interesting thing. Back in 2014 Mary was on an official visit in Canada with Frederik. Here she attended a fashion arrangement on September 18th accompanied by a woman with the name Eva Kruse. She is the CEO of the fashion industry network organization Danish Fashion Institute and the Copenhagen Fashion Week. Eva Kruse wore, on September 18th, the exact same vest as Mary in the combination with white trousers and blouse. You see a picture of Eva in her Fonnesbech vest on the picture right below. Because of the plain white clothes underneath the vest, both Mary and Eva both looked way taller. It's a great contrast. Take a quick look at Mary's trousers; love that she isn't not just wearing normal straight trousers. These JOSEPH trousers gives the outfit something special.

Carefully, I've studied every picture I have to see if Mary wore any kind of bag or clutch. I realized, she wasn't. This is the second time in a very short time. She accessorized her outfit with two golden necklaces -one from Orit Elhanati and one from Marianne Dulong. Mary has worn these two a lot lately. A great match. If you just need to have one yourself and can't afford a real Marianne Dulong, then I have this, here, to show you. Sent to me be a reader who love it as much as I do. It's a great match. Her earrings are from Marlene Juhl-Jørgensen. Again a bracelet or two from Anni Lu and Charlotte Wæhrens on the right hand and a brand new golden cuff featuring a huge diamond shaped stone. I was asked if it was a watch or a bracelet -differently a bracelet. My best reader Pernille has now found the right one. It's a vintage bracelet in 14k gold with a large citrine stone from the Danish jewellery designer Børge Niels Knudsen. The gold and silver diamond rings are both from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. She stunned also wearing studded Valentino shoes.

Many years since we have seen the Crown Princess at this many fashion related events, but it is great to see her now and then anyways. This year we already got to see her at a couple of fashion shows and on Friday she attended the Copenhagen Fashion week 2015 Fashion Fair. Here she enjoyed the day visiting both Designers' Nest 2015, the Jewellery Room and a few hours later the CIFF Raven & Men's Fashion. During her visits she was introduced to several designers latest creations and even got to met the designers behind the brand. The "special" thing about the Designers' Nest is, that is was created to give design students a chance to show of their creations. Guess it must have been so exciting for them to show some of the things they have been working for for quite some time, to the Crown Princess. She seemed really impressed by what she saw. The design students also got to show their collection at the Copenhagen Vision Fashion Fair during CFW 2015. 

More than once, Mary has received awards for her sense of style and with what we saw at the Fashion Fair, I think she deserves them more than ever! At such fashion events both national and international media's are followed her every step; reporting what she was wearing -what I do on a daily basis. Like when she attended the YDE Copenhagen fashion show on Thursday, I am completely impressed by what I see. Usually brown is not really my colour but as always Mary's makes it work perfectly. Her new classy dress has been found at Edith & Ella (AW14) featuring a wonderful orange feathers. Both colours and the long sleeves makes it ideal for the weather right now. It was the great Royalista-team, who managed to figure out the identity of her new chic dress. At the arrival Mary wore a new navy blue coat, which I still have no idea where to find. She accessorized her outfit with a matching cross-body bag from Quidam and new over-the-knee boots from no one else than Gianvito Rossi! This ID I got from Princess Watchers. The massive amount of jewellery she wore at the fashion event gave the outfit a bohemian vibe. These jewellery come from both Marlene Juhl-Jørgensen, Orit Elhanati, Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, Kinraden and Marianne Dulong. Some of the most talented designers we have in Denmark.

Crown Princess Mary attended this years Save a Mothers Life at Mothers Day organized by the Maternity Foundation in Copenhagen. 

The Maternity Foundation 

In 2005 is the Maternity Foundation established by Henriette Svarre Nielsen, M.D. in Obstetrics and Gynocology along with five other women. With the vision that "No women should die giving life", the foundation aims to reduce maternal and newborn mortality in developing countries where more than 800 women die every day from complications of pregnancies and childbirth. Since 2010 has Crown Princess Mary been patron of the Maternity Foundation. You find more info about the fund and their work here. 

Save a Mothers Life at Mothers Day / Red en Mors liv på Mors Dag

... has since 2007 been the Maternity Foundation's way of celebration Mother's Day which supports the foundations vision of no women should die giving birth. To be able to launch a new project is something really big also for a foundation as the Maternity Foundation and this was exactly what they did on Monday April 28th. The foundation launched Save a Mothers Life at Mothers Day (Red en Mors liv på Mors Dag) campaign with attendance of Crown Princess Mary who have been the fund's patron since 2010. Is there a better way of celebrating something that is in favor of women and children which is exactly what you are working for, than inviting the Crown Princess? -No I do not believe so. So both a Crown Princess and patron attended Mary the launching which took place in Danish Design Center, Copenhagen. The campaign allows you as a private person to support the foundation's work by purchasing a special designed Mother's Day card, this year designed by artist Anika Lori. As keynote speaker entered Mary the stage and gave, as usual, an impressive speech on why this is so important not just to her but also the women living in development countries. This year the campaign is especially necessary as the countdown to achieve the UN goal of reducing maternal mortality by three quarters by 2015. Despite we will in the 21st century, 800 women still die of complication from pregnancies and childbirths which could have been prevented if they have had some educated help. I'm sure we will hear much more about all this in the near future because of Mary's commitment to girls and women's health, rights and well-being.

Darker colours are always a perfect match to golden accessories. No doubt about that. What I really like about this look is how she managed to build up an outfit from the dress. Doesn't that green colour just suit her well? I think it makes the best out of her fair skin and lovely dark brown hair. Kate managed to identify her dress as Prada.

Drawing attention to her rather small waistline, she wore a three layer golden necklace I have really been looking forward to tell you about. It is from the Danish jewellery designer Jane Kønig and features three different necklaces. The longest and mid necklace features one pendant each and the last one have two smaller pentanes. Now you may have guessed it. But each golden pendants are engraved with each their own letter: C(hrisitan), I(sabella), V(incent) and J(osephine). Yes, you are right. One for each of her children. Isn't that cute?! I just love it. Same style as the necklace Mary wore several bracelets; two of them from Shamballa Jewels and Georg Jensen. Actually she was wearing quite a lot jewelleries, also Marlene Juhl-Jørgensen earrings and a stunning leaves rings created by I'm Jewel. Everything we have seen before, but not like this. 

We also got to see her incredible Christian Louboutin pumps again, maybe not the best match with the dress? Or then, it's really quite nice. To carry her speech and what else she brings with her, Mary added her brown croco clutch from Danish Carlend Copenhagen. A style I could get use to! A powerful and stylish look but yet still casual. No, really I do not know who she do it.

Easter Service in Aarhus

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended easter service in the church of Aarhus, with them were Prince Christian and Princess Isabella. Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik did also attended the service.

Even in private Mary is wearing there perfect outfits! Sure, it's a bit more casual but she never goes down on style and with all the incredible things in her wardrobe everything should be possible. All her remarkable dresses, bunch of skirts and blouses not to forget all the shoes, bags and jewellery she's in possession of. A week with her wardrobe and I think you automatically would dress like a princess! At the easter service she had chosen an reused Prada coat featuring crochet details around the neckline and pockets. Not sure it's my favourite coats of hers but why not, she wear it pretty well with the brown ankle boots, Prada too and no outfit without a little bling; here a pair a plated gold earrings from Marlene Juhl-Jørgensen, the chef designer of Figaros Bryllup. Mary's earrings features diamonds.

Mary Foundation Meeting

Crown Princess Mary participated in the Mary Foundation meeting with the other members of the Fund. She's the patron and talked about the last five years with the Foundation. Mary was wearing a simple whit suit. The golden earrings is from Malene Juhl Jørgensen. Around her neck she had a necklace with a little, green butterfly; the symbol of the Mary Foundation.

Private visit at Legoland

It has become a family tradition for the Crown Prince family to visit Legoland in Billund while spending the annual summer holiday at Gråsten Castle in Gråsten.

This year, the family also spend a day in the famous theme park. Seems like all of them had a wonderful day.

These days, the royal family are gathered at Gråsten Palace in Gråsten, Souther Jutland. The Crown Prince Couple joined the family along with all four children. They all participated the annual photocall - except from Princess Josephine. She has become ill and was not able to participate.
