Knudshoved Odde

May 27, 2025

Queen Mary visited Knudshoved Odde near Vordingborg as patron of WWF World Wide Fund for Nature who are currently working on a project to ensure better living conditions for endangered animal species.

Mikkel Aarø-Hansen, General Secretary of WWF World Wide Fund for Nature accompanied Mayor of Vordingborg Mikael Smed, Landowner of Rosenfeldt Gods Nicolai Oxholm Tillisch and director of Ravn-Nature Peer Ravn when welcoming the Queen when she arrived at Knudshoved Odde.

The Queen was scheduled to take part in a butterfly release, but cool weather meant that it was postponed. Instead, some of the butterflies were displayed and later to be released when the weather is warmer.

During the visit, the Queen also participated in releasing bell frogs and spread a seed mixture on the forest meadow.

This is what I love so much about our Queen: she is not afraid of jumping into a lake, climb a tree or release a frog. For her visit at Knudshoved Odde Mary had chosen a pair of reused Laksen trousers, an old down-vest from Moncler and a brand new Scandinavian Edition jacket.

The cool canvas belt with the brass buckle is from the Swedish Fjällräven. It features the iconic Fjällräven logo: the fox. Mary also wore new outdoor shoes from Salomon.

We also get a glimpse of a golden ring studded with diamonds from Dulong Fine Jewelry. I've been interested in knowing more about her rather massive silver ring. She has worn it on a few occasion's prior to her visit at Knudshoved Odde. It is now told to be a 'smart ring' that track you health. Your level of stress, sleep and heartbeat.

Day 8.

Official visit to Greenland

06 July 2024

The King and Queen (and the twins) already spend more than a week in Greenland. On their last day, they visited Narsaq and Qassiarsuk. They were welcomed in Narsaq by Mayor Stine Egede and members of the board. To mark the couple's visit, King Frederik panted a pine tree at the administration building.

Before attending lunch with municipal council members and the local business community, the royal couple paid a visit to the local sports hall in Narsaq.

In Qassiarsuk they were welcomed by board member Piitaq Lung by whom they were given a tour around the village followed by the traditional 'kaffemik'.

By now we know all about her dark green Laksen suit. She has worn it almost every day since they first arrived in Qaanaaq. Mary was wearing a grey turtleneck, her navy blue Moncler down-vest and Penelope Chilvers boots. These boots have also been her favorite shoes to wear during they stay in Greenland.

The cap. Actually, King Frederik was first seen wearing this tweed cap in 2018 on a trip to the Faroe Islands. Since then, his wife has been fond of wearing it. I am still clueless where to find it. But it looks good on her.

I wanna thank you for following the official visit with me - despite my writings have been a little late. Your loyalty means the world to me. Thanks!

Day 2.

Official state visit to Norway

15 May 2024

Visit at 'Østmarka'

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit accompanied the King and Queen for a walk in Ulsruvannet, which is part of the outdoor area Østmarka.

The four of them took the subway to Østmarka. Representatives and guides from the Norwegian Tourist Association also took part in the walk. They presented the scenic and urban park, which is has also become a gathering place for both children and young people.

What is better than a good hiking outfit? Love how Mary is rocking both evening gown, jeans, fine floral printed blouses and hiking boots. That is what makes her our beloved Queen. Down on earth and professional with whatever the title prescribe (of course with a touch of her own).

When hiking in Østmarka, she looked lovely in brand new trousers from Carhartt Wip, a simple black blouse and a reused Moncler down vest. I'm still looking to find her brown leather belt. Her boots are great ones from Arc'Teryx and the sunglasses are blue Gucci.

We also get a fine glimpse of her Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces. Always keeping her family close.

Meeting with the Norwegian Prime Minister and official lunch

Around noon, the couple met with the Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, whom also joined them for the Government's official lunch at Akershus Slott. The castle goes back to the middle age and once housed Margrethe 1. when she was Queen of Norway as child and young adult.

King Harold, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit attended the lunch as well. Wonderful to see all of them together.

This will be my favorite outfit of the year! I know Mary looked gorgeous last night in her altered Birgit Hallstein dress, but this will still be my favorite look. Primarily, because of the skirt. Just a few weeks ago I found a vintage skirt very similar to Mary's and now I love it even more.

Our beautiful Queen wore a new dusty mint Jesper Høvring blouse and that stunning checkered Emilia Wickstead skirt. The best looks like the one worn the previously day, when the couple arrived in Oslo.

Mary accessorized the outfit with a brand new Ellen Hunter comb. Her earrings goes way back and were once purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction. She also wore jewellery from Halberstadt, Julie Sandlau P. Hertz and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Thrilled to see the P. Hertz bracelet again.

She matched the belt with a Prada clutch and shoes.

Architectural walk

When the couple have had lunch with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre, the King and Queen and Crown Prince Couple they accompanied each other one more time, when participating an architectural walk at the harbor in Oslo.

During the architecture walk, they were shown multiple examples on how common Danish-Norwegian solutions help the nature, water and the humans back in the center of Oslo.

I love when Mary is wearing these maxi skirts. Looks so elegant and classy. Great how she embraced it with simple Chanel flats and a brand new white button-down from Bagutta. Makes the outfit even more casual, but polished. I yet have to identify this new skirt. Royal Fashion Police suggest this one, but there are differences. Any ideas?

Time is up for wearing hats to keep your head protected from the sun - and to look even more fashionable. Mary wore one from Canopy Bay by Deborah Hutton. It is new. Her sunglasses are reused ones from Gucci.

Mary accessorized her beautiful outfit with earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. Her bracelets are creation by Rebekka Notkin and P. Hertz.

Her crossbody bag? - it is a Chloe design first worn in 2013 when visiting Jordan.

Return event at Dannebrog

It has indeed been two magnificent days! Seems like the couple have had a wonderful time in Norway.

This evening, the King and Queen hosted a return event on board Dannebrog with attendance from King Harald, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit.

We can't ask for mere. Mary looked so good when hosting the return event on Dannebrog. The floral printed dress is Zimmermann and worn before. You remember when? Twice in 2019 - in South Korea and Oslo. And then again in 2022 for the wedding of Prince Gustavn and Carina Axelsson.

She embraced the evening look with another brand new hair comb from Ellen Hunter! Always wanted to wear combs but they don't really work for me. Do you like hair accessories?

The earrings are reused but never identified. My guess is that they were purchased on an auction. They can be worn in different lengths. The colorful bracelet is P. Hertz and her stunning sling-backs are Gianvito Rossi.

The Queen might left a bit early because she was to meet with with the High Commissioner of UNHCR Filippo Grandi the following day.

Royal Run 2023

29 May 2023

It was such wonderful news when Royal Run 2023 was announced. More than 93,500 people ended up joining this years run in Copenhagen/Frederiksberg, Nyborg, Aabenraa, Nykøbing Falster,  Herning.

Prince Christian, Princess Isabella and their twin siblings Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine ran in Copenhagen. Crown Prince Frederik joined the run in Aabenraa, Herning and Copenhagen/Frederiksberg.

Crown Princess Mary participated the One Mile run in Nyborg and later a 5 kilometer walk in Nykøbing Falster. The Crown Princess also made a quick stop on the way on the island Lolland. Here she paid a visit to Dodekalitten (here).

All participants get each their own Royal Run t-shirt. The entire royal family wore the exact same one. CRAFT has produced the "Royal Run wardrobe" for quite a few years now. CRAFT makes sportswear for running, skiing, cykling, etc. Mary also wore an old 2019 running jacket from CRAFT as well. She has also worn it in 2021 and 2022. Like that she wears the same old one and not just a new one every year.

For her pitstop on Lolland, Mary was also wearing a reused Moncler quilted vest. A great match with tops and navy running trousers.

Mary is known to love wearing a cap while running. It is unusual to see her without one. In Nyborg, she flashed a new Royal Run cap. Also from CRAFT. Another thing she is known for is chic sneakers. This pair is new and from Asics.

She accessorized her sporty look with a golden bangle and two bracelets from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. If you have fallen in love with her sunglasses then you find them at Ray Ban - and Gucci if you can't live without the tortoise-like glasses.

Verbier, Switzerland

06 January

A while ago it was announced that all four children – Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine, were to go to school in Verbier Switzerland for 12 weeks at Verbier International School.

First, Crow Princess Mary was supposed to stay there the whole time with her children and then the news came that Crown Prince Frederick would stay there too. Since we first heard about the trip, not much has been published. Not until it was told that the royal couple and their four children would go for a short interview this Monday – the first day at school for the next 12 weeks.

The interview took place in a landscape covered in snow. The beautiful Verbier. A place the Crown Prince Couple has enjoyed spending much time, both before and after the kids were born. It is clear as day that the family loves Verbier very much and that this will be an experience for all of them.

Prince Christian and Princess Isabella were asked what they looked forward to the most. The answers came quickly: skiing classes. They will also have lessons in both French and English, among other things.

We haven’t really had any real winter in Denmark for quite a few years now. Usually, we get snow and cold noses, but we haven’t seen that in a long time. Nevertheless, I am the type of person that wears woollen coats, knitted hats and gloves despite no real winter. What is real winter to me? – one that includes lots of snow or at least some. The almost nonexciting winter also means that Mary has not been keeping warm in long coats and thick tights. That changed a bit when they arrived to Switzerland.

At the interview, Mary kept warm in her reused grey coat from Moncler – first seen in 2017 when she, her husband and oldest son watched a football match in Copenhagen, here. Maybe you remember that she also wore it at another football event in 2018 along with the Mary Foundation, here? This time she matched it with a white knitted turtleneck sweater and skinny jeans. I like it when she wears jeans, because most of us wear jeans and Mary is not “too royal” to wear them as well. Love that.

Keeping warm the right way may take some time for a girl that are used to summer degrees most of the year. I think she got it right with her brand-new winter boots from Ludwig Reiter. I had never heard about this brand before, so the credit all goes to one of my wonderful readers who recognized them right away. Often, I think boots look clumsy and heavy, but these don’t. They well-balanced in design.

A UEFA donation

Thursday, March 22nd

Packed up in a warm jacket, the Crown Princess arrived to Brøndby Stadium in Copenhagen to received a very special donation -the UEFA Foundation for Children donation. The Crown Princess received the €50,000 donation as chairwoman of the Mary Foundation for future work to to ensure children's well-being and avoid bullying in football clubs in Denmark. The Mary Foundation and DBU have worked together on several other occasions to aiming a better environment for children in Danish football clubs. It was with a great smile and pride I think, the Crown Princess was handed over the donation. Congrats to the Crown Princess and her foundation with the very fine reward.

The donation was handed over during a game between Denmark and Panama, which the Crown Princess enjoyed along with the other over 10,000 people at Brøndby Stadium.

Truly it was a cold evening when Mary visited Brøndby to received the prestiges donation for her foundation. Guess that's why she had chosen to cover herself up in a cosy and warm outfit. She dazzled in a blueish turtleneck, which I am 99.9% sure was also worn during a trip to Greenland in 2014, here. It has never been identified. This cosy turtleneck was styled with slim jeans and her rather large grey jacket first worn at a football game in Parken in November last year, here. At this time it was identified as Moncler. It works as both a vest and jacket at the same time. A strange, but clever design. Mary seems to love it very much. On a few pictures it is clear that she wore brand new over-the-knee boots. I actually managed to found them at Gianvito Rossi. Do you like them? Because of the length I think they look pretty edgy. At the arrival to Brøndby Stadium I got a glimpse of her wearing diamond earrings, possibly from Hartmann's, and her Tod's bag. Once again I'm impressed by her hair -all voluminous and gorgeous!

Accordring to Billed-Bladet the Crown Prince couple accompanied Prince Christian for the great football battle in Parken, Copenhagen, Saturday evening. Prince Joachim and his son Prince Felix also attended the game. They arrived along with a few friends shortly before the Crown Prince couple and they eldest son.

The game was taking place in the evening and judging from what the couple and their son were wearing, I guess it was a pretty old evening. The Crown Prince kept warm in a black wool coat. Prince Christian wore a cosy scar and down jacket. Meanwhile the Crown Princess dazzled in a brand new grey jacket/vest from Moncler. This 'strange' jacket and/or vest was identified by Heaven. A few more pictures have revealed that she wore jeans, a burgundy turtleneck and her black Dolce & Gabbana handbag and brand new wedges ankle boots. I have been looking everywhere to find them. I asked everybody, who could possibly help me. Nothing. Then I came across a similar model from a Danish shoe brand. A request confirmed my suggestion -Mary's new wedges boots are from Angulus.

The Children's Relay 2015

Sunday, May 31st

Crown Princess Mary attended the Children's Relay in Aarhus. The relay is a part of the Free of Bullying project developed by the Mary Foundation and Save the Children

The Free of Bullying project is made in collaboration with the Mary Foundation and Save the Children after an initiative from Crown Princess Mary, who was inspired by the Alannah and Madeline Foundation's work in Australia. As part of the project the Children's Relay has been developed which take place each year, alternatively in Aarhus and Copenhagen. This year over 700 children participated the relay which took place in the botanical garden in Aarhus. It has become a tradition for the Crown Princess to attend the relay and hand over golden medals to the participating kids. So, did she this year. She was warmly welcomed by hundreds of children ready to attend the relay. Before the race was about to begin, the Crown Princess gave a short and motivating speech and participated in a little training before the kids were ready to run. A wonderful day with lots of smiling faces and laughs. This event is something I look forward to each year because everyone is down on earth and are just having fun.

As the atmosphere, Mary was dressed very casual as usual at these events. Even a little more sporty than I think she is use to. She was wearing one of her beloved blue and white striped blouses and a pair of well-fitted jeans. Keeping everything simple she also wore her New Balance sneakers and one of her Moncler vests. Nothing new about Mary's outfit so far. Actually, she has worn the exact same outfit back in 2012 when she attended a beach walk in Juelsminde, here. Do you remember that? When we start talking about accessories, then I noticed a black watch on her left arm. I do not think we have ever seen that before, nor do I know where it is from. All along, I have had a though which I am going to share with you of course. To me the style looks like something Crown Prince Frederik could wear. So my suggestions is, simply, that she borrowed her husbands watch for a day. Other than the watch, she was also wearing a rather new bead bracelet. It has been identified by Diana as Anni Lu. She wore the same bracelet when visiting Germany with her husband not that long ago, here. Last but not least, we have that beautiful (and probably very expensive) Hartmann's diamond earrings. This is how to make a casual outfit, look super polished.

Advice for Life & Klubfidusen

Thursday, May 12th

As patron of the Mary Foundation, Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of Advice for Life (Råd til Livet) taking place in Aalborg. Later in the afternoon the Crown Princess attended an event with the project Klubfidusen.

Frederiketmary.centerblog.net 1

Around noon the Crown Princess arrived to Aalborg to attend the opening of Advice for Life (Råd til Livet). A project developed by the Mary Foundation to combat social isolation. The project was inaugurated at the Mother's Help in Aalborg who work with Advice for Life. The Mother's Help offer legal and financial help is needed and helps pregnant women and families with children in vulnerable situations. Help is also given to young people and battered women. All these and many more areas of action are some Mary and the foundation works with, so it is ideal for Crown Princess to attend the event in Aalborg. She was in a really good mood when she arrived. With flowers and handshakes she was welcomed for attending the opening of Advice for Life. Mary took plenty of time talking to as many attendances as possible. People gladly shared their story and experiences with the Crown Princess who, with great interest, listened to everything she was told.

Arriving to Aalborg to attend the opening of Advice for Life at the Mother's Help, Mary stepped out of the car dressed in a lovely outfit. She was wearing matching black trousers and a turtleneck. Am I the only one who noticed that Mary has been wearing black a lot lately? Never mind. I am really glad to see that Julie Fagerholt Hartmade jacket again. It is not the first time she wear it, but the jackets looks new every time. Even Princess Madeleine of Sweden has been seen wearing the exact same jacket. I can't seem to find a picture right now, but if I do, I will share it with you. Though I think the rest of her outfit is a bit too plain, then the jacket really makes the difference. And of course her amazing snake pumps from Christian Louboutin! Overwhelming who much a pair of shoes can do for an outfit. A pair of heels can change everything. Any black outfit should be worn with such shoes! As other accessories she wore diamond earrings from Hartmann's, rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and not the forget, a thin bracelet from Anni Lu. Love all these little details. Last but not least, she was wearing her black Carlend Copenhagen clutch. Think this outfit would do good at any time a day. With another hairstyle I would not hesitate to wear it during a dinner.

About two hours later the Crown Princess attended another event in Aalborg with one of the Mary Foundation's project called Klubfidusen. The project is made in collaboration of the Mary Foundation, Save the Children, DBU and TrygFonden to strengthen the community and prevent bullying in football clubs in Denmark. When the Crown Princess arrived it was pouring down, but nothing seemed to stop her. Very relaxed and down on earth she blended in with the rest of the attendances. She attended the event along with CEO of the Mary Foundation, Helle Østergaard. Both of them were warmly welcomed at the arrival. Klubfidusen is all about football, which of course means that Mary joined a game even though it was still raining. Mary just put on a jacket and joined the game. Everybody were having so much fun!

Not even pouring rain can stop Mary when she's on duty. A few hours later when she arrived to the football club AaB in Aalborg, she had changed clothes to something a bit more practical. Understandable, because who on earth can play football in heeled Louboutin shoes? No, right? She favourised a pair of blue and green New Balance sneakers and a navy blue Moncler jacket with knitted sleeves. When it started raining, she added a blue Nike jacket to the look. She was also still wearing her diamond earrings from Hartmann's and rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Both kids and Mary had a great time playing football, despite then bad weather. Before leaving, she received a gift to her son Christian which was his own football T-shirt with his name on.

Private visit to Greenland

April

A few pictures were taken when Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary arrived to Greenland by plain a few days ago for a private visit. Apparently they will soon be back in Denmark again. Among other things the couple are going on a dog sled on the ice cap one of the days. At the arrival both were dressed in warm jackets, Mary in long Moncler, and boots. I hope they enjoy a couple of days together and experience the very best of Greenland.

Roskilde Festival 2014

Wednesday, July 2nd

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended this years Roskilde Festival, all unofficially.

There is a first time for everything also for the Crown Princess of Denmark. While her husband, Frederik, has attended Roskilde Festival several times before this is the first time he is accompanied by Mary. Oh.. I simply adore when we get to see the royal couple like this. Though they are followed by the journalists and photographers they still have time on their own. Truly believe they had a great day together! One of the big names playing at the festival is The Rolling Stones and with Frederik as a fan of rock music, they of course came to watch their concert which began at 10 pm. local time. The royal couple five hours before and had plenty of time to enjoy each other during the evening. Pretty sure it was a great concert from what I read.

What to wear at a festival in the evening and the weather only promise you it'll be a late summer night? Well, Mary has the answer (as usual). Something practical and nice at the same time, of course. When her and Frederik arrived she was wearing a striped blue/white blouse featuring long sleeves and navy blue west from Moncler. Also that new electric blue down jacket is from Moncler found by Kate. The blouse I do not know anything about, but really all designers have a striped blouse similar to this one. She'd paired the cosy outdoor wear with slim dark jeans. On her feet she wore a pair of light blue sneakers from New Balance perfectly matching the rest. And of course, not to forget, a pair of sunglasses. Later she had a quick change from a striped blouse to a new t-shirt designed by Bjørn Ivar Liland from Olso on occasion of the festival. His design was voted as the most popular one. He won the competition among the designers who helped to design this year's t-shirt. It is also available in men's sizes.

... and by the way check out my latest post at Royalista!

KMD IRONMAN Copenhagen

August, 18

Crown Prince Frederik participated in the KMD Ironman in Copenhagen. Crown Princess Mary and her two oldest children, Prince Christian and Princess Isabella, they were there to cheer on Crown Prince Frederik.

Princessesblog76.blogspot.com

Love that Mary brought their two children with her to cheer on their father when he participated in on of the physical hardest sports in the world - the ironman. A triathlon where you swim 3.8 kilometers, then 180 kilometers on a bike and last you run a marathon on 42.2 kilometers. That's the reason for the name Ironman. I think it is so cool to have a future King who actually did this. After this Frederik was all over the news everywhere, both in Denmark and abroad. Well done!

Mary was herself so sporty in her navy blue Moncler vest, just like Prince Christian and Princess Isabella, matched with a navy blue and white striped blouse and jeans. I like when women wear a vest but they really do not fit me at all. Maybe my upper body is too small? Well, never mind. Mary wear it great! Moncler have so many different models and I find it pretty difficult to find the exact same. Take a look at the one I found and let me know what you think - did I manage to find it? Today most people use their phone to keep track on the time, Mary still wear her Cartier watch. I inherited a little gold watch after my great-grandmother and I love to wear it. Wait a moment, is she wearing her husbands golden wedding ring on her middle finger? I think she is. Some years after their weeding in 2004 rumors told that Frederik lost his wedding ring on a trip to Greenland, it has never been confirmed, but this might be the reason why he does not want to wear it today. Very thoughtful of him. Mary will take good care of it. On her opposite wrist she wore her mother-and-daugther Ivory Bogota bracelet and her golden Shamballa Jewels bracelet. By the way, the Ivory Bogota bracelet was identified by Royal Outfits of Crown Princess Mary

Another one of you my beloved readers identified the new grass green and brown tote bag Mary was wearing during the day. First I haven't seen it and then I received a mail with an I.D. Country Road created this new tote bag. Then we have her almost shiny blue and green sneakers, I can't decide whether I hate or love them. They are brand new and come from New Balance. Are they a go or no go? Well, New Balance make very comfortable sneakers. Madonna, the famous singer, designed a collection for Dolce & Gabbana which is where Mary's sunglasses is from. Often the brand is shorted D&G, on the Madonna collection a little M is added made of small starts.
