Day 1. Official visit to Kenya

December 10, 2025

Queen Mary arrived yesterday in Nairobi to attend a three-day official visit to Kenya. She is traveling as patron of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The visit will focus on the collaboration between Denmark and Kenya in areas of environmental protection, renewable energy and climate action.

She spent her first day in Kilifi Country- the South East part of Kenya.

Before going to the Arabuko Sokoke Forest (the largest remaining coastal forest in East Africa), the Queen met with Gideon Maitha Mung'aro, the Gonvernor of Kilifi Country.

Mary is known to wear these printed Heartmade Julie Fagerholt blouses when abroad on visits like these. She first wore this one when on a work visit in Mozambique with UNFPA 2012. It looked great paired with those soft beige trousers and the dark brown leather belt. When meeting with the the Gonvernor of Kilifi Country, Mary also wore a fine blue blazer.

Mary style the casual outfit with a brand new Aiayu cap and Ray Ban sunglasses. We haven't seen the Orit Elhanati necklace for quite a while. A few years back she wore it all the time. I kinda missed it. Looks beautiful with the colorful beaded Dulong Fine Jewelry necklace.

She changed from a pair of Prada ballet flats to Salomon walking boots when going into the rainforest.

Meeting with Global Partnership for Educatio

26 January 2023

For quite some years, the Crown Princess has sought to combat domestic violence, bullying and loneliness. Also trying to improve, among others, girls and women's health, rights and well-being.

Children and young people have been in her agenda. Especially, loneliness amongst young people has been a matter of heart for the Crown Princess the last few years as a consequence of the pandemic.

This was not on the paper for her last meeting with CEO of Global Partnership for Education Laura Frigenti. Global Partnership for Education is also know as GPE. They work hard to promote education in collaboration with other relevant partners. Denmark is one of those partners.

CEO Laura Frigenti shared the organization's latest evaluation. An evaluation that estimate that around 244 million children and young people around the world do not go to school. Most of them because they live in some of the world poorest countries suffering from among others significant conflicts, hunger and floods.

The meeting took place at Amalienborg.

Mary had chosen a very fine look, when meeting with Laura Frigenti, CEO of  Global Partnership for Education. Everything is a reuse. Even the entire outfit is a reuse. On November 2nd 2017, she inaugurated Nøvling School and attended an annual meeting with school leaders (here). Not much has changed. The simple black WILLOW jacket and that patterned Heartmade Julie Fagerholt dress are a lovely match.

She accessories the outfit with a black leather belt from Celine. A beloved belt worn on a number of different occasions. I think we often forget to praise belts (and hats). Sometimes they make the difference between a complete look and something feels missing.

The fine tortoise-like glasses are from Gucci.

One photo do not show much, but I still recognize those wonderful Rose Quartz earrings custom-made by Dulong Fine Jewelry. Mary was also wearing a couple of golden necklaces. A small medallion and her diamond studded 'F' necklace from Halberstadt.

Day 3. A visit to Bangladesh

27 April

Crown Princess Mary has been in Bangladesh on a three-day visit along with the Danish Minister of Development Flemming Møller Mortensen as "representatives" for Denmark. The visit is all about climate changes and how to work with them.

On their third (and last day), the two of them visit the area of Sundarban, which is the largest mangrove ecosystem in the world. It has given space for hundreds of different species. It created a natural environment to discuss biodiversity and nature-based solutions to the massive climate changes.

On her third and last day in Bangladesh visiting the Sundarban area, Mary showed up in an old printed blouse from Heartmade Julie Fagerholt. She matched the fine pink blouse with 7 For All Mankind trousers in a beautiful green colour. UFO No More identified her new trousers.

The green Cavalleria Toscana cap was great to keep the sun on a distance, just like the Ray Ban sunglasses. Kknekki is the name behind her hairband. Once again, Mary wore her golden Orit Elhanati necklace and Arc'Teryx hiking-boots.

Day 1. Visit to Burkina Faso

28 October

Apparently, Crown Princess Mary has been on a two-days visit abroad. On October 28th, she arrived to Burkina Faso. She was accompanied by Flemming Møller Mortensen, Danish Minister of Development. The two of them had traveled to Burkina Faso to rais attention to girls and women's rights and opportunities. In a state troubled with severe climate changes and terrorism, this has become even more difficult.

Much has improved since the Crown Princess visited Burkina Faso five years ago, there are still a long way to go (here) (here). The state's development the last couple of years, has not been for the better. Mainly, girls and women's pays the price and many have to compromise their freedom, rights and opportunities due to their gender.

On the first day, Crown Princess Mary and Minister of Development Flemming Møller Mortensen visited Kaya. Their program was packed with a general focus on climate changes and all of those people, who have been displaced internally. Places like health-clinics are truly under a huge pressure, both before and certainly at the moment due to the current situation in Burkina Faso.

Visiting Kaya, Mary was dressed in an old Heartmade Julie Fagerholt printed blouse and a pair of sandy colored trousers paired with a brown leather belt. I guess it was both practical and comfortable. Keeping her eyes protected by the sun with a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses and a Cavalleria Toscana cap.

I learned from UFO No More that her new white sneakers are from Veja. Never thought we would get to see Mary wear such sneakers, but I get why. A close look revealed that she accessorized her first look in Burkina Faso with jewellery from Orit Elhanati, Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry. The fine Kknekki hairband was a spot-on accessory as well.

One year with Global Refugee Forum

15th December

For fourteen days the Crown Prince family has been isolated in their home at Amalienborg because Prince Christian was then tested positive for COVID-19. Under the circumstances, he is all fine and none of the other family members have been infected. They were all tested negative. Great news this close to Christmas.

As a last event before it is time to enjoy Christmas together with her family, Crown Princess Mary participated the celebration of the Global Refugee Forum's one-year anniversary. She participated the event as patron of DRC Danish Refugee Council - Denmark's largest NGO.

It all started a year ago, when the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) first gathered both government officials, business leaders and civil society from around the world to discuss solutions to the global refugee situation. Now, a year later, the Crown Princess participated a digital panel debate on their first anniversary. The debate took place at the DRC office in Copenhagen. Crown Princess Mary was the one with the opening speech.

The event was hosted by both DRC Danish Refugee Council and UNHCR.

Celebration the one-year anniversary was one thing. The digital panel debate also aimed to have yet another focus: how young people have been affected by the worldwide pandemic. Something, the Crown Princess has been very committed to already on other occasions lately.

Kongehuset Billed Bladet Billed Bladet DRC

The pandemic is also the reason why we have little photographic evidens from the event. Most of what we see is from outside DRC's office. At the arrival, Mary clearly showed how to dress both comfortable, fashionable and keep warm at the same time. Something I think can be a little problematic at times. The lovely light brown coat is a reuse from Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. Many of you have already shared your thoughts with me about this coat. You seem to love it as much as I do.

She styled it with her emerald green trousers from Massimo Dutti. They come with a matching blazer as we saw on November 12th, when she attended the 20th anniversary conference for Children, Youth & Grief, here. A closer look revealed that Mary had chosen another old item - a navy blue Stella McCartney blouse. What a magnificent match, right? Blue, green and brown. Nothing more perfect for this time a year. I would love to copy this outfit. The multicolored scarf has also been worn before in 2016, here.

Mary embraced the glory of her outfit with shiny diamond earrings. They feature both white and yellow diamonds. They have not yet been identified. The beautiful round diamond necklace is from Katerina Pitzner. Mary has two different sizes: small and this one in medium. A couple of her rings are old ones from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. We really need a little diamonds right now. Her golden bangle is from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

In the same color as the trousers, she had chosen her lovely blue leather bag from Prada and pointed suede pumps from Jimmy Choo. I am crazy about this outfit. Black is an easy color to wear, which is why most women often chose to wear black - including myself. But the world is full of colors and we need to embrace them much more also on a daily basis. I hope Mary's outfit will inspire you to be brave and wear some colors from now on.

RC69: WHO Regional Committee for Europe

16 September

Today is the day, where Crown Prince Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel are coming to Denmark on official business promotion visit with the Danish Crown Prince Couple as hostes. The program tells us that the Swedish Crown Prince Couple arrives this evening and are welcomed by the Swedish ambassador, Fredrik Jörgensen. According to local time, that is within about an hour or so.

Today is also the day where Crown Princess Mary participated the important WHO Regional Committee For Europe (also known as RC69) summit. The summit gathered representatives from all over Europe within the healthcare sector in the UN City in Copenhagen. The Crown Princess  participated the summit as patron for the World Health Organization, Regional Office for Europe and as guest of honor.

She was in a really splendid mood at arrival with a wide smile on her lips and a glimpse in her eyes. The sweetest little boy handed over to her a bouquet of beautiful flower as part of the tradition when being welcomed as part of the royal family. From the rostrum she gave a one of her remarkable speeches focusing on the important work of the worldwide healthcare sector.

In the evening Crown Princess Mary also attended a reception with the Danish Ministry of Health and Elderly on occasion of The WHO Regional Committee for Europe. The reception took place at Skuespilhuset in Copenhagen. When arriving to Skuespilhuset the Crown Princess was warmly welcomed by Minister of Health and Elderly, Magnus Heunicke. Seems like she were having a good time right from when she arrived. Unfortunately not much has been published from the reception, but I mam sure you figure out the difference between the two events.

Det Danske KongehusBilled Bladet Billed BladetFrederik et Mary ● UFO No More

Red is a strong and powerful color to wear on a day like this. A symbolic color that catch eyes every time she wears something red. I was sure she was wearing her red Dolce & Gabbana dress, here, but it turns out that the neckline is different. This makes Mary's dress unidentified. Kate made me aware of the difference. So for now I do not know where her wonderful red dress is from. But she matched is perfectly with a tweed jacket from YDE Copenhagen. Hope to see this piece with something else than this dress. How would you style it? I'd wear it with a pair of black jeans and a white button-down shirt.

Mary accessorized her chic outfit with diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe, golden bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry and of course her love bracelet from Cartier. Expensive, but stylish pieces of jewellery that goes trendy every year. I also see an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond band.

Somehow I can not keep my eyes off those beige python pumps. It was love at first sight. In a way I think they even look comfortable. I have never worn a pair of Gianvito Rossi pumps, but they look more comfortable than most other pumps does. Her Rossi python pumps and that incredible leather bag from Prada are perfect combined with the red belted dress and tweed jacket. When would you wear an outfit like this?

Everything she wore at the reception in Skuespilhuset is everything I have hoped for. I am astonished by the combination black, a little flowers and those bright orange pumps. Do you remember the floral printed Heartmade / Julie Fagerholt dress from when we first saw it last year, here? A beautiful dress a year ago and it still is. I am crazy in love with when she wore it at the reception. Mary looks comfortable and relaxed.

I already mentioned her shoes. Bright oranges wonders from Prada. A visible golden Prada logo reveals where they are to be found. So far I have not been able to find them in the right color, but I have the right model to show you - thanks to Kate. Tell me, what do you think of her new pumps? Orange is one of the most trendy colors to wear right know and Mary really rock wearing them. I imagine dresses, trousers and skirts from her clothes that would do great with these new pumps. She embraced the style with Annikat earrings, bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry and an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond ring. Unfortunately her black clutch is still a mystery to me.

The Danish Music Conservatory's Children's Choirs Christmas concert

Saturday, December 8th

The Crown Prince couple has just arrived home from a two days visit in Latvia. The couple had been invited by Latvia's President to attend the 100th anniversary of Latvia's independence as state, here, here.

On Saturday Crown Princess Mary was to attend as guest of honor at the Danish Music Conservatory's Children's Choirs Christmas concert. This year it took place at the Conservatory Concert Hall in Copenhagen. Crown Princess Mary has been patron for the children's choir for quite a few years and. Each year she attend their Christmas concert. It has become a tradition for her to bring her family. So did she this year. She even brought her father, John Donaldson and his wife Susan Donaldson. What a way to celebrate Christmas. One big happy family arrived. They were all smily and in a great mood. The perfect way to gather ones family.

Attending the Christmas concert Mary showed up wearing a warm and cosy outfit. She mixed new and old pieces. At the arrival she wore an old black wool cape from Heartmade Julie Fagerholt. Among others, it was worn when Mary attended the official opening of the Mothers Help's House in Copenhagen two years ago, here. Embracing the style she matched the black cape with a cable-knit sweater found at Ralph Lauren by Heaven. This is a brand new sweater styled with a brand new floral printed skirt. Heaven managed to identify her new skirt as well. She found it at Prada. Personally I am not quite sure what to think about this piece of clothing. I will leave the commenting to you.

Mary had also chosen to wear quite a few remarkable pieces of accessories. The heeled boots are from Prada worn on several previous occasions. Same goes with the black Bottega Veneta hobo bag. Around her neck is a design by Katerina Pitzner. She was wearing a least two bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry and one is from Cartier. You know: her golden love bracelet. The two diamond rings are Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

The greatest thing about this concert event, is the fact that Mary brought her whole family. That was really a surprise.

Day 3. Business promotion visit in Italy

Thursday, November 8th

-In the Vatikan-
For two days the Crown Prince Couple has visited Rome in Italy as head of a business delegation of 36 Daniel companies. The visit began on November 6th and this is the last day before leaving Rome. As first thing in the morning the couple had very extraordinary visit - they were invited to meet at His Holiness Pope Frans in the Vatican. The three of them had a private room before press were allowed. As part of the public audience gifts were exchanged. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary handed over a vase made by Royal Copenhagen and a book about the renovation of Frederik VIIIs Palace - among other things.

Mary wore a black outfit when visiting the Pope, along the significant black lace vail that goes as part of the traditional dress code. The outfit Mary wore during the visit has been seen before back in February - as a complete outfit, here. Nothing was identified at the time. Now it has been suggested that her blouse goes way back; back to at least 2015. Three years ago at the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes she is told to wear the same blouse, here. What do you think? Could this be right? I can't really tell for sure.

She accessorized her black outfit with reused earrings, an old diamond brooch and matching rings from among others Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The amazing clutch is a new one from Carlend Copenhagen and her pumps are from Gianvito Rossi in black leather. I can't point a finger on anything really.

-Hospital Bambino Gesu-
After the audiens at His Holiness Pope Frans, Crown Prince Frederik visited the Trevi Fountain and Aqueduct Acqua Vergine as part of a visit with focus on 'Urban & Cleantech'. Later on he joined his wife and they both visited the children's hospital Hospital Bambino Gesu in Rome. It was really a wonderful sight. Especially Crown Princess Mary seemed to enjoy it quite a lot and the children simply loved her attention. The couple were warmly greeted. They had plenty of time to some of the patients at the hospital. What a wonderful way to end three great days in Italy.

There is only one outfit left to comment on. Earlier in the morning she was litterarly dressed in black from top to toe. That is not the case later on. When visiting the children's hospital in Rome along with her handsome husband Mary was dressed in a brand new floral printed dress. I learned from Heaven that this new dress is from Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. Beautiful, right? Noticed the sleeves and neckline. Stunning details.

Mary embraced the style with several golden jewellery and a pair of reused Valentino pumps. Amazing how a pair of pumps can transform and complete and outfit. She matched her Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings with a couple of bracelets from the same designer and one from Cartier. I also see a few diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The third silver ring featuring diamonds as well, has never been identified. At least I don't know anything about it, but Mary is very fund of this combo of rings.

She topped the outfit of with a lovely hairstyle. Think it makes her look younger. Gives her a fresh touch. I am really not disappointed by anything we have seen during this Italy visit. I wold love to have seen a little more colours. But I got way more updos than I had imagined. Anything you liked in particular?

Day 1. Business promotion visit in Italy

Tuesday, November 06th

-A day in Rome-
For quite awhile we knew that the Crown Prince Couple were about to go on a business promotion visit to Rome in Italy. The visit last from November 6th to 8th. That's now. Somehow it almost came as a surprise to me. But here we go.

The Danish royal couple arrived to Italy earlier this morning. They were warmly welcomed by the President H.E. Sergio Mattarella and his daughter Laura Mattarella. The Italian President hosted a lunch for the Crown Prince Couple at the Presidential Palace Palazzo del Quirinale as part of a welcoming ceremony on occasion of the visit. The couple also payed a visit to the Terme Di Caracalla, which really seemed to fascinate the couple with its magnificent old history.

Visiting Italy the couple is head of a Danish business delegation. More than 30 Danish companies are traveling along the Crown Prince Couple. The visit is all about strengthening the relations between Italy and Denmark under the title "Italy - We Think Business".

Now we are talking. No idea what I expected to see today, but I am truly impressed by her dreamy outfit. Just look at that incredible creamy white tweed dress. Everything looks perfect. Very well made. Don't you think? Really want to hear your thoughts on her new dress. I thought it might be custom-made and I was right. Mary's new dress is custom-made by Mark Kenly Domino Tan, here. Impressive creation. She accessorized it with a new white leather belt. I found it at MaxMara.

Mary embraced the style by wearing the most wonderful golden jewellery. Frist thing I noticed was the leaf brooch from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. So beautiful. The same designer created the golden chain bracelet, pendant and the stunning diamond earrings. Amazing how a coupe of jewellery can complete an outfit. Any of these pieces you would want yourself? Personally I'd love to have a pair of these gorgeous diamond earrings. Her other golden wonder is from Cartier

As shoes she had chosen simple nude Prada pumps. At first. Later during the day, she had a quick change of shoes. From pointed leather pumps to sporty white Nike sneakers. Heaven even managed to identify the new clutch she is wearing. She found it at Diane von Furstenberg. Great finding. Take a note of her beautiful hairstyle as well. I really missed these up-dos. Hope we get many more during the next couple of days.

-Evening event-
Arriving to Italy earlier the same day the Crown Prince Couple was first welcomed by the italian President H.E. Sergio Mattarella and his daughter Laura Mattarella. The President then hosted a dinner for the couple at the Presidential Palace Palazzo del Quirinale. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary then visited Terme Di Caracalla.

Around dinner time the royal couple arrived to attend an evening event. It was a reception on occasion of their official visit to Italy. The Crown Prince Couple are accompanied by representatives from more then 30 different companies. They also attended the reception. Both Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were in a splendid mood at the arrival. I bet it was a wonderful evening with lots of talking and a great dinner.

Kongehuset Billed-Bladet Frederik et Mary

At the reception Mary showed up wearing a combo of black and print. She wore her reused black shirt from Julie Fagerholt Heartmade and a brand new leopard printed skirt. The new skirt really surprised me. Leopard print is top of fashion right now, but I am skeptical. Mary use to change my mind when there is something I don't really like. But I am still not fan of leopard print though she makes it look very classy and elegant. So far I have not found out where it is from but I am still looking.

She embraced the style with several wonderful accessories. The blue belt we have seen once before when she attended the presentation of Magasin du Nord Fashion Prize 2017, here. Do you remember it? Mary also wore multiple golden jewellery. I noticed golden earrings and matching bracelets from both Dulong Fine Jewelry and Cartier. She also impressed the world with snake skin pumps from Prada and a high quality leather clutch from Quidam. A mix and match of materials, fabrics, colours and prints. I am crazy about her hairstyle and magnificent makeup. Love that we finally get to see more of these updos. That is something I have hoped for in a very long time. Anything you wish to see during the visit? I would like something colourful. Maybe a clutch or a pair of shoes.

Visiting 'Værket'

Tuesday, October 30th

As Chairwoman and founder of the Mary Foundation the Crown Princess visited Red Cross in Næsted. She payed a visit to Red Cross on occasion of the collaboration with the Mary Foundations about the project called 'Værket'.

'Værket' aim to create a community and support for people feeling solitude for a longer periode of time. This is done by among others different kinds of social activities, events, networking groups, etc. The project is an offer for adults aged 30 to 60. When the group met on Tuesday Crown Princess Mary attended. She arrived in a really great mood, with a large smile on her face. She was warmly Secretary General of the Red Cross, Anders Ladekarl. Also CEO of the Mary Foundation, Helle Østergaard attended the evening event.

Crown Princess Mary had plenty of time to get to know former and current members of 'Værket'. She also participated in several social activities during her visit. Among other things, the Crown Princess took part in "a picture of yourself" along with the rest of members and volunteers.

The Mary Foundation shared this post on Facebook from the visit at Red Cross.

What she wore during the visit at Red Cross in Næstved was all reused - except from that lovely  caramel wool coat. It looks a lot like her old MaxMara coat, but this got pockets and some different buttons. I had no idea where to even look for this new piece. Luckily Else Marie was there to help me. She has been able to identify Mary's new coat as Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. Seems like your Crown Princess is getting fund of her Heartmade's once again. Think we need to keep an eye on on Heartmade from now on.

Mary then embrace the style of her caramel coat with a reused printed blouse from Jesper Høvring (collection: H by Jesper Høvring). I clearly remember how troubled all of us were to identify it. So many different designers were mentioned, and then it was found at Danish designer Jesper Høvring. She paired the blouse with simple black trousers and what I strongly believe, is black suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi. She has worn the blouse at, among others, the Women's Board Award 2018, here. Matching the rest of her look, Mary had chosen to accessorize outfit with earrings from Louise Grønlykke.

Magasin du Nord Fashion Prize 2018

Thursday, October 25th

The Crown Princess is indeed a busy lady these days. She both visited DR Girls Choir, here, presented this years Children's U-Country Calendar, here, and attended an evening event at Christiansborg Castle, here. She also spoke at a founds conference at PwC in Hellerup, here.

Thursday evening the Crown Princess arrived to the Art Hall Charlottenborg in Copenhagen to attend the presentation of Magazine du Nord Fashion Prize 2018. She was also present at the event last year, here. It was that event where she wore the same Britt Sisseck dress as her friend Nina Wedell-Wedellsborg. This year, such thing did not happen.

To win the Magasin du Nord Fashion Prize, you have had to make at least one ready-to-wear kollektion - but not more than six.

As part of the evening the Crown Princess was to present the winner of the honorary award, DKK 500,000 and a fashion show at Copenhagen Fashion Week. What a prize to win. This years winner is designer Emilie Helmstedt. Congratulations to Emilie Helmstedt with the very fine acknowledgement.

During her visit she also had the change to meet and speak with the other nominees.

Mary was a bit more silent in colour than the winners collection. Emilie Helmstedt has a very playful and creative way of creating clothes. Mary, on the other hand, had chosen something a bit more simple. She wore a brand new bordeaux lace dress. Seems like it took me a bit more time to identify her bordeaux dress as first anticipated. Thanks to two of you the dress has now been found at DAY Birger et Mikkelsen. Quite a long time since we last saw Mary wear something from one of their collections. Kinda missed their designs. And this is one good looking dress.

As her new dress, she was wearing a brand new coat. I have come to love this piece very much. Looks great on its own, but also next to the lace dress. Am I right? With help from Else Marie I am now able to share with you its identify. Marys new coat has been found at Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. One pretty piece for this time a year.

She embraced the chic evening style by wearing golden bracelets from both Dulong Fine Jewelry, Cartier and a chain piece from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Gold and bordeaux are just a great match. Somehow I was sure she wore pendant earrings as well and she did. Mary wore a pair of reused earrings from Jewlcph.

Mary matched her outfit with nude Prada pumps and some pretty amazing soft curls.

Day 1. Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2018

Tuesday, May 15th

Tuesday morning the Crown Princess arrived to DR Concert House in Copenhagen to attend the opening of Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2018. The summit is an international conference focusing on sustainable fashion and has the Crown Princess as patron. It first took place back in 2009. At the arrival she was warmly welcomed by Eva Kruse and given flowers from the sweetest flower girl. As part of the opening, EU Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager gave the speech. Usually the Crown Princess herself use to address the opening speech, but not this time. She listened to Margrethe Vestager's words from first raw. The Crown Princess also payed a visit to the Innovation Forum exhibition, where companies presented different sustainable fashion solutions.

It is not the first time Mary has attended Copenhagen Fashion Summit wearing stunning and magnificent outfits. These ones from 2012, here, are some of my personal favourites.  And this one, here, from 2017 is also incredible. We never really know what to expect from her because every time we get surprised but her choices when it comes to clothes and accessories. This year she dazzled in a reused creation from Designers Remix. It goes back to the fashion summit in 2014, here. The dress is sustainably made of 100 % recycled polyester from plastic bottles, here. Personally, I am convinced that the dress from 2014 has been altered into a skirt because she's wearing a reused black blouse from Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. To me an alteration is the only possibility on how to wear it with that black blouse. I requested the designers and are still waiting for an answer. What do you think? As accessories she had chosen earrings (and a ring) from Pomellato, an Orit Elhanati necklace, bracelets from Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry. A really beautiful combination. She also embraced the style by wearing a reused suede clutch from Hugo Boss, first worn at a swimming event, here, and baby blue Gianvito Rossi pumps. These was worn during the second day in Japan, here. I am sure you remember them. Another thing I want you to notice is her hairstyle. I missed these updo's for so long. She even added a little hairclip from Pico.

Honorary dinner at Fredensborg

Sunday, March 11th

Each year on March 11th a dinner takes place with Queen Margrethe as hostess. The dinner is held alternatively for the Danish army-, navy- and air force at Fredensborg castle. This year 30 receivers of the badge of honor from the air force and armed force were invited along with the Crown Prince couple. The badge of honor was established in 1953 by Frederik IX on his birthday; on March 11. Which is why the dinner is held on his birthday each year. A badge of honor is given for 25 years good service.

The Queen as hostess was already at Fredensborg castle when the 30 participants arrived closely followed by the Crown Prince couple. We got a brief glimpse of the royal couple before rest of the honorary dinner took place behind closed doors.

I was so sure we weren't be seeing any pictures at all from this dinner. Suddenly, I received pictures from all of you showing the couple arriving. And it was just great. Both of them were beautifully dressed -Frederik was wearing a polished uniform and matching hat, while his wife dazzled in a blue evening gown. I asked for information about Frederik's uniform and it turns out that he was dressed in the navy's fair uniform, here. Mary's new gown has been identified by Heaven as a Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen creation. In the video it shows the gown with an asymmetric lace top. Can't wait to get a closer look. At the arrival she stunned wearing a brand new cape. This was found by Kate at Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. She embraced the style with diamond earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, a golden Cartier bracelet and a silver clutch. I also managed to identify her pumps, though it was hard to find pictures. Toe, shape and colour makes me sure that she was wearing Gianvito Rossi pumps made of silk.

New year concert with the Home Guard

Tuesday, January 9th

The Crown Princess arrived in a splendid mood for a new year concert at Copenhagen City Hall on Tuesday. For ten years the Danish Home Guard has hosted this new year event. When arrived the Crown Princess was welcomed by Colonel Lennie Fredskov. She was also handed over a bouquet of flowers. Later, the flower girl told a journalist how much fun it was to meet the future queen. After a quick pose for the photographers, she entered a beautifully decorated room where the concert was about to take place. More than 500 Home Guard members also attended the concert. All of them were dressed to perfection in each their uniform. The Crown Princess herself is also member of the Danish voluntary military organisation.

I had no idea what to expect from her outfit at this event. Somehow I thought we would see trousers. I was wrong. Mary showed up wearing a beautiful, floral printed Julie Fagerholt Heartmade dress. We have seen the dress once before on September 1st, when she visited BørneTelefonen, here. So, now we have both seen it with and without a coat. At the concert she dazzled wearing her Prada coat. Mary embraced the evening look with a golden Orit Elhanati necklace, coral pendant earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I have been a little trouble with her pumps. Took my many different angles to finally realize that they in fact are from SAND Copenhagen -and not Gianvito Rossi as I first thought. Everything is completely different when we talk about the clutch. No doubt its identity. It is Bottega Veneta. Keeping everything classy with a simple hairstyle and natural makeup, Mary stunned like a star in the night.

-Inauguration of Nøvling School-
On Thursday November 2nd the Crown Princess visited Gistrup. Here she attended the inauguration of Nøvling School, which since February 2017 has undergone a major renovation. The school goes back to 1962. Now teaching can take place in newly renovated buildings. That was what the Crown Princess was invited to celebrate with the school's children and staff. At the arrived she was kindly welcomed by headteacher Lene Burchardt and a sweet flower girl. Already from the arrival the Crown Princess was in a splendid mood with a warm smile on her face. Traditionally, she cut a red ribbon with a golden scissors to officially inaugurate the new building's. The visit at Nøvling School also had time for a tour around the new facilities. The Crown Princess was also shown how movement can make learning more exciting. This was demonstrated by a school class, who gladly showed the Crown Princess how to do some tricks on her own, which seemed to amuse her a lot.

Nøvling School is also a part of the Free of Bullying-program made in collaboration between the Mary Foundation and Save the Children.

-The annual meeting with school leaders-
After a wonderful visit at Nøveling School where she had just inaugurated new building's, the Crown Princess arrived to Aalborg Congress- and culture center. Here she was about to attend the annual meeting with school leaders. In Aalborg she was welcomed with smiles, greetings and a beautiful bouquet of flowers, here. Over 1500 school leaders from all over Denmark were gathered in Aalborg along with the Crown Princess to participate the annual meeting. It was with focus on preschool -how school is of great importance to children and in the end, the Danish society. As part of her attending the meeting the Crown Princess entered the stage in front of all the other participants and gave a remarkable speech. In the opening speech she pointed out how important 'community' is to all of us. For her it is where learning begins.

Autumn has, once and for all, arrived to Denmark. So I completely understand her choice in clothes. Mary was beautifully dressed in a brand new printed piece and a reused black jacket. Let's talk about the jacket first. It goes years back. When we first saw it I can't tell but she has worn it several times, here. I never been able to identify the jacket. She belted up the jacket with an old Céline belt. Then she was wearing this brand new piece, what I first thought was skirt. At Royals & Fashion I learned it is a in fact a pleated dress from Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. I haven't decided whether or not I like her new dress. Someone who has an opinion they want to share? Mary then accessorized the outfit with golden jewellery from both Orit Elhanati and Dulong Fine Jewelry. Once again, we got to see her Quidam clutch. Seems to be her favourite model right now. We haven't seen any other clutch for what... about a week now. Nevertheless, it is a beautiful clutch and it looks great to her outfit. Note that she olny wore the clutch when she attended the annual meeting in Aalborg. Mary had then chosen a pair of black suede Prada boots and a lovely wool scarf to keep warm.
