04 November 2024

Queen Mary attended the Clown Conference in Middelfart af patron of the Danish Hospital Clowns. She was warmly welcomed by Petunia, Trudi and Todaysi - three hospital clowns, when she arrived to addend the conference.

Danish Hospital Clowns is a nationwide program in collaboration with twenty departments in child and youth psychiatry and with the children, young people and their families who are affiliated. The program was founded in 2016.

The conference focused on how to ensure room for the whole person in future child and youth psychiatry. Queen Mary was therefor invited along with the hospital clowns, professional staff from child and youth psychiatry and other collaborators in the field.

Queen Mary gave a opening speech. So did two of the hospital clowns Miss Lakrids and Baroli.

Mary looked absolutely beautiful at the conference in Middelfart! She wore a bright red reused Erdem blouse featuring a lovely floral print. She has worn it on give other occasion like when attending the Women Deliver conference 2019 and for workshop on social norms with the Mary Foundation in 2019. This time, she matched it with a brand new black midi skirt and a fine Celine belt.

I was very pleased to see the chunky Jimmy Choo pumps again. Somehow, I think they looked stunning with the rest of her outfit. So elegant and classy. Her amazing light blue earrings and matching ring are both from Pomellato. Like how Mary embraced the delicate blue detail on the blouse with jewellery in the same color. Looks like she had a wonderful day and was 100% comfortable in her outfit.

Inauguration of Herlev's new Emergency Room and Woman-Child Center

02nd June

The last week, the weather has been phenomenal. Warm with lots of sunshine. The perfect weather for an inauguration. That is exactly what Crown Princess Mary attended. She visited Herlev to inaugurate the new emergency room and woman-child center at Herlev Hospital. It includes around 300 new rooms for patinas, special designed green areas and a new Emergency Room. The two new wards are connected with a main entrance.

Crown Princess Mary arrived in a splendid mood. She was one big smile. Many were gathered close to the main entrance to get a glimpse of the Crown Princess. She took her time greeting them. Minister of Health, Magnus Heunicke and President of the Regional Council, Sophie Hæstorp Andersen gladly welcomed the her and followed her at a guided tour around the brand new facilities in Herlev.

For the official inauguration, Crown Princess Mary cut the iconic red ribbon with a (very) golden scissors. She was given a clear view of what these new facilities have in advance - several new rooms for patients, a brand new emergency room, among others a trauma department. Many of the rooms have a view of the outdoor green areas that should function recreationally and as sensory areas for patients and their families.

I think we can agree on at least one thing: Mary's outfit at the inauguration of the new emergency room and women-child center in Herlev, was absolutely stunning! She was so radiant with the warm smile and summer chic outfit. Her look was really well put together. That light blue Victoria Beckham blouse and floral printed white midi skirt from Paul & Joe are a magnificent combination. Don't you think? She has worn the blouse on quite a few previous events, but the skirt is now only seen for the second time. Mary first wore the skirt, when she attended the grand opening of Holmegaard Værk in Fensmark back in June 2020 (here).

She embraced the style by wearing lovely blue earrings and a matching ring both from Pomellato. I am impressed how well they match the blouse in color. It is almost the same shade of blue. Mary is a tru fan of golden jewellery. I get it: gold looks beautiful to her fair skin, brown eyes and dark brown hair. At the inauguration, she wore her golden bangle from Cartier and two other bracelets from talented Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Another accessory that complimented her look with true perfection, is the burgundy leather handbag from Hugo Boss. I wish these handbags would be highest fashion again. I simply love the shape and color. I still need to track down the model in the right burgundy color, but it also looks splendid in green leather as the link shows. Her beige python pumps are from Gianvito Rossi. The exact same as those from Prince Christian's confirmation on May 15th (here).

Since she started wearing a face mask, I was wondering where it could be from. Mary is not wearing the one-time-face-masks, but instead she wears reusable masks. Finally, I was able to find them at Kartó.

Presentation of the Heart Association's Research Grants 2019

28 November

Crown Princess Mary was in a great mood when she arrived to Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen. She visited the hospital as patron of the Heart Association, as part of the presentation of the Heart Association- and Children's Heart Foundation's grants talking place later that same day. The Crown Princess was welcomed by, among others, the chairman of the Heart Association, Christian Hassager and the hospital director, Per Christiansen.

Later on she was introduced to studies that aim to improve and make adult heart surgery more gentle. Apparently that can be done by the use of oxygenation and organ protection during surgery. Crown Princess Mary was also given a demonstration on how surgeons are trained with help from a fake torso. She even tried it herself. I imagine it as both an interesting and informative visit.

After the visit at Rigshospitalet the Crown Princess drove to Hotel d'Angleterre where she was about to attend the presentation of the Heart Association- and Children's Heart Foundation's annual grants. A couple of so-called 'heart children' welcomed the Crown Princess. Heart Children are either born with a heart failure or are suffering from a cardiovascular disease. She also gave a speech before handing over the grants to Sofie Bay Simony, Lars Allan Larsen, Mina Nicole Händel, Anne Lagsted and Canan Doganli. Congratulations to all five recipients with the prestiges grants.

Usually Mary dresses up in skirts and dresses for this annual event. But not this time. This year she had chosen to wear a reused dotted blazer from Massimo Dutti matched with a pair of navy blue trousers. We first saw the blazer in 2015 and since then she has worn it just a couple of times. When visiting Rigshospitalet made it the fourth time. As on two other occasions Mary embraced the style of her blazer and matching trousers with a good old blouse from Prada. I always liked the buckle detail following the neckline. Makes it more than just a plain blue blouse, right?

The round Pomellato earrings and ring were a perfect color combination to the rest of her outfit. Especially the blouse and jewellery were very much the same color. I love when things match in color. It is always a good thing to remember if you not sure what to pair. Matching colors always do.

Under her one sleeve one of her Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelets appeared. Another accessory that is mostly hidden, are the shoes. To me it looks like Mary was wearing her burgundy suede pumps, but it could also be her black and burgundy pumps from Prada. What do you see? Gianvito Rossi, here. Or Prada, here. She had also chosen to her reused her suede Hugo Boss clutch.

Day 3. Business visit from Sweden

18 September

By now the Swedish Crown Princess Victoria and her husband, Prince Daniel are back home in Sweden. But before leaving they spend a little more time with the Danish Crown Prince Couple.

First thing in the morning the two couple's attended Swedish-Danish Business Forum at Danish Industry in Copenhagen. All four of them seemed to be in a wonderful mood. Also when they later visited House of Green the four enjoyed each others company. Before splitting up two and two, the two royal couples payed a visit to Tech BBQ 2019 - the biggest innovation and tech summit in Scandinavia, here.

In the afternoon Crown Prince Frederik joined Crown Princess Victoria. Together the two of them visited Amager Bakke which is a waste energy plant. Meanwhile, Crown Princess Mary enjoyed some time with Prince Daniel visiting Rigshospitalet. They were shown the hospitals new build facilities and building site of what is not finished yet.

Spending time with her husband and the Swedish royal couple Mary has already showed some incredible outfit. So did she on Wednesday. Mary had chosen to embraced the style by wearing a reused and altered skirt designed by Charlotte Eskildsen - designer for Designers Remix. Originally it is a dress made of sustainable materials, here. This time she wore the skirt with an old (really old) black zipper jacket from Max Mara. It goes all the way back to 2004, here. Do you remember the jacket? Loves how she matched the outfit with that Céline belt.

Though her outfit was quite simple, she wore some outstanding accessoires and a lot actually. First thing I noticed was the bright blue Gianvito Rossi pumps. Seems like Mary loved wearing colorful pumps at the moment. Like when she wore her new orange Prada pumps attending a reception with the RC69 - WHO Regional Committee for Europe, here. I absolutely love her wearing colors. Usually she does not change her shoes. But when visiting Rigshospitalet with Prince Daniel she had changed from Gianvito Rossi to nude Christian Louboutin's.

Also her jewellery featured amazing colors. The earrings and matching ring are both from Pomellato, while the twisted golden necklace is a reuse from Orit Elhanati. Despite covering most of it, Mary did also wear several bracelets from both Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry. Love when she wears all kinda different bracelets. Gives a more casual look. The diamond ring is also a Dulong Fine Jewelry creation. The beautiful quality black leather clutch is from Quidam.

The Women's Home and an officers dinner

11 September

Crown Princess Mary payed a special visit to The Women's Home (Kvindehjemmet) at Jagtvej along with the Mary Foundation on Wednesday. The Women's Home is Denmark's largest women's shelter. During her visit she met with both former and present residents of the home with whom she talked about backpacks. More specifically backpacks given to all children who live with their mother and possible siblings at the shelter. These backpacks are part of a Mary Foundation project and are given to children in both Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

A quote from the Mary Foundations Facebook post (embedded down below) says that the backpacks helps children to know that they are seen, heard and taken serious. The Crown Princess also talked with employees working at the shelter. Among others, they told her that they use the backpacks and its contents to help children describe and puts words on feelings related to violent experiences. The Royal House has now published a short interview with the Crown Princess and one of the employee, here.

According to the official calendar Crown Princess was suppose to attend a dinner at Fredensborg Castle the previous evening hosted Queen Margrethe. The dinner was held for officers at Dannebrog as a way of thanking them for another year of sailing. But not pictures have been published.

Visiting The Women's Home at Jagtevej Mary was dressed in a lovely reused outfit. She matched her light blue blouse from Victoria Beckham with a black pleated skirt. The skirt is also a reuse, but I have never managed to identify where it is from. This time I noticed that it features small dots. Maybe that will help us identifying it. Keep your eyes open and let me know if you see or hear anything about her skirt.

To match the chic outfit she chose to wear her black leather pumps from Valentino featuring rivets. A classy pump with a touch of rock and roll. The blue earrings and matching ring are both from Pomellato. They go way back in time, just as the diamond ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The same designer made one of her golden bangles. She also wore her Cartier bracelet in shiny gold and her Nadia Shelbaya necklace.

I also noticed how beautiful her hair looks. I love when she wears curly hair. Makes her look young and fresh (if that's the right word to use). Love how Mary made this outfit look so casual. Whenever I am wearing pleated skirts and soft blouses, I tend to look a bit overdressed. But not Mary.

Women Deliver 2019

This year the international conference Women Deliver takes place in Vancouver, Canada from June 3-5th. It was announced a month ago who would host the next conference. Like previous years, the Crown Princess is attending the conference which is world-leading on equality, girls and women's health, rights and well-being. This years conference focus on "Power. Progress. Change".

During the three days conference, more than 8,500 people are attending from over 150 different countries. Both experts, NGO's, politicians, organizations, etc. are gathered in Vancouver to discuss and share ideas about new strategies on how to make the world a better place for girls and women. Crown Princess Mary is one of them.

The Crown Princess acted patron for the event five years ago in 2016 when Copenhagen hosted the conference. Also in 2009 (Washington) and 2012 (Kuala Lumpur) was the Crown Princess invited to attend Women Deliver. She is also influencer for the Deliver for Good campagne launched three years ago.

03 June

On Monday it all started. Crown Princess Mary had arrived to Vancouver, Canada to attend this years Women Deliver Conference 2019. During the day she participated in a number of different events. From front raw the Crown Princess listened, questioned and was overall committed.

Among others, she attended the panel debate #ThePowerOfUs from which the pictures below were taken, here. Among the participants was 18 year old Natasha. She gave a strong impression on the Crown Princess. The young woman made it clear that young people do play an important role in creating a world with equal rights and possibilities for everbody. Listning to 18 year old Natasha made on impression on Crown Princess Mary, who mentioned the young woman in a quote on the royal family's social media platforms, here.

The Crown Princess also stated that it is really exciting to be in Vancouver to attend Women Deliver. She is impressed that more than 8,500 people are participating and that the atmosphere is all about energy and optimism.

Day one of the conference Mary wore two different outfits. The first I am aware of is her wearing black suit - fitted black trousers and a matching blazer. I cannot tell for sure if she has worn it before, because the lack of pictures. She probably did wear the suit on a previous occasion. The bright red blouse with the lovely print is one from Erdem. It has been seen before when participating a workshop on social norms with the Mary Foundation and other collaborators in March, here. It then looks like she embraced the style by wearing her reused Prada handbag and simple black pumps from Jimmy Choo. I imagine they are quite comfortable to wear all day because of the chunky heel. It is not the first time she took advantage of a large heeled pump. Mary actually wore this combo of shoes and bag when visiting Sorglinjen on May 29th, here.

Later, when she attended the opening of the Women Deliver 2019 Conference, she had changed her outfit. Now Mary was wearing a reused pleated midi skirt from Designers Remix. This skirts was first worn three years ago when she attended the UNGA in New York, here. At that time she matched the skirt with a simple black blouse, and this time in Vancouvers she had chosen a plain white pleated blouse from to match the skirt. Lovely and minimalistic. As earlier in the morning, she was still wearing a black blazer. I also noticed diamond earrings. Guess that she could also be wearing fine bracelets to match the rest of the outfit.

04 June

It had been a busy first day in Vancouver. The Crown Princess had been participating several events and panel debates. On the second day Crown Princess Mary, among others, participated EdTech Talk - The future of health worker training. Here she was given the change to know more about how hard a challenge it can be to safe a newborn baby's life. She even tried first-aid herself on a baby doll called NeoNatalie, here. EdTech is all about future learning. Who technology will be able to help to, among others, train and educate midwives in low and middle income countries the lifesaving treatment of mothers and newborns. The Crown Princess also gave a speech as part of the event , which was organized by Maternity Foundation, ICM (the global midwives organization), Laerdal Global Health and Microsoft.

I never participated a conference myself, but I imagine it takes a quite comfortable outfit because you are wearing it all day. Mary looked really comfortable in what she was wearing during the second day of the Women Deliver 2019 conference. She had chosen to wear a reused blue blouse from Victoria Beckham with what looks like a brand new black lace skirt. A good friend of mine suggested that her new skirt could be from Dolce & Gabbana, here. It is very likely because they often make similar skirts and dresses like the one Mary is wearing at the conference. Let me know what you think or if you have heard anything interesting I need to know about. She accessorized the outfit with earrings and a ring both from Pomellato, and three bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The fourth one looks a lot like her Cartier bangle. We also got a glimpse of her Prada handbag. I am not quite sure about the navy blue suede pumps. Are these old or new?

05 June

Two long days had passed and the Crown Princess was only able to stay in Vancouver, Canada for one more day. June 5th is a special day celebrated in Denmark. It is our Constitution Day. This day the Danes celebrated the Danish democracy. On that occasion Crown Princess Mary attended a morning event with other Danes now living in the Vancouver-area. Seems like everyone were having a great time chatting and having a cup of coffee.

With only very few pictures from the morning event it is a bit difficult to tell exactly what Mary was wearing at the event. Nevertheless I immediately recognized her printed dress. It is from Diane von Furstenberg. She first wore this dress back in 2018 during an official visit to Seattle in May, here. The navy blue coat is not new, though I first thought it was. Actually it goes back to around 2017 when she wore it at an event on occasion of the Mary Foundations 10th anniversary, here. The lovely blue coat is from Harris Wharf London. Think she is wearing matching blue pumps as well. We get a glimpse of white pearl earrings, which I believe is from Dulong Fine Jewelry and her Nadia Shelbaya necklace.

It has been three wonderful day, and I strongly believe the Crown Princess found this a very interesting and educational visit.

Day 3. Business and cultural promotion in Texas

13 March

Crown Princess Mary already enjoyed two days in both Austin and Houston, Texas.

The finial day has come. In the morning she arrived to attend the launch of a health care collaboration between Texas and Denmark. It took place at Texas Medical Center. That is the world's largest hospital with more than 100,000 employees working with leading treatment programs. Multiple opportunities to collaborate was discussed as part of the launch. The Crown Princess also got a chance to meet with CEO of Texas Medical Center, William McKeon.

A couple of hours later, Crown Princess Mary arrived to attend the conference CERAWeek about energi. Several Danish companies participated the conference along with the Crown Princess. At CERAWeek solutions were shared and discussed by all the participating companies, scientists, politicians, etc. The Crown Princess also entered the stage herself and held a speech.

In the afternoon, she attended the opening of 'Statecraft: Selections from the Jewelry Collection of the Danish Arts Foundation' at Houston Center for Contemporary Crafts. The exhibition shows a unique collection from the Danish Arts Foundation from mid 20th century till today.

From what I see, it looks like the Crown Princess really enjoyed her last day. From early morning till late afternoon she was one big smile. My guess is that she had some wonderful days in Texas. About a month from now she is joined by her husband on a trip to South Korea. I already look forward to another trip abroad.

I have been surprised over and over again during her stay in Texas. She has worn so many incredible and stylish outfits from the very first day. Lots of new pieces of clothes and old goodies. Taking a look at her last-day-outfit I have to go with this as my favourite. Love the match of colours, silhouettes and textures. Mary embraced the style by wearing a brand new dotted blouse and a fitted light blue pencil skirt. Heaven managed to identified the new blouse as Munthe. Think it got a cool 70s vibe featuring puffed sleeves. Heaven also found Mary's new blue skirt. She identified it as Hugo Boss (collection: BOSS). This I am crazy about. Wish I had one myself. Looks really great with the light fabric blouse.

This is one of the most complete outfits I think we have seen in a very long time. She looks comfortable and confident. The accessories also matched with great perfection. Mary styled her look with matching Pomellato earrings and a ring in gold with blue stones. Smashing. I also see a golden Cartier bangle and a Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelet. The two other ones are troubling. Let me know what you think. Quidam is the designer of her beautiful leather clutch. Time has proved that Prada created those incredible pumps. Mary won my heart with this outfit.

Day 3. 'United Nations General Assembly' in New York

Tuesday, September 25th

For two days the Crown Princess has attended several receptions, events and meetings with other representatives from all over the world. The gathering took place on occasion of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

On her last day in New York she first participated the event 'Collective call to protect women and girls on the move'. An event organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Dansk Flygtningehjælp. She was accompanied by Danish Minister of Development Collaboration, Ulla Tørnæs. The two of them were seated next to each other.

Crown Princess Mary was also present at the presentation of the winners of an art competition entitled 'Turning the tide of the NCD pandemic through youth-led action' - what a name. She was the one handing over the prestige award with a big smile on her face. Congratulations to the winners. The presentation was later followed by attending the event 'Circular High Level event' by State of Green/Dansk Industri. Here she entered the stage and gave a supposedly, remarkable speech.

Think we have already seen some really beautiful outfit during her stay in New York. Personally I love this most. The combo of colors, prints and fabrics are simply incredible.

Mary embraced a professional and chic business style by wearing her old Scanlan Theodore jacket. She wore it first during the Women Deliver Conference in 2016, when hosted by Copenhagen with Mary as patron, here. This piece is one of my absolute, personal favorites. Love its simplicity and how it huges her figure. First she wore it with trousers (lovely) and now with a floral printed skirt from Hugo Boss. The skirt has also been seen before. More than once? When she attended a meeting with the United Nations Population Fund in 2015, the skirt was brand new, here. Do you remember it? I am a fan.

Let us talk about accessories. She wore outstanding pieces to complete her outfit on the last day in New York. I spotted matching blue stone earrings and a ring from Pomellato. Beautifully created jewellery, such as the golden Orit Elhanati necklace. Mary really has a sense of choosing her jewellery with a certain elegance. The same goes with picking the right handbag and matching shoes. During this trip we have seen her wear same accessories multiple times. Very clever of her. We got a glimpse her blue leather bag from Prada and nude Christian Louboutin pumps.

60 years of anniversary for 'Granbohus'

Tuesday, May 29th

After a week of celebration for her husband, who just turned 50 on May 26th, the Crown Princess is back at work. She began her week with an anniversary visit in Fredensborg. Here the Crown Princess visited Granbohus that celebrated 60 years of anniversary. Ten years ago she visited the institution on its 50th anniversary, here. It was a happy reunion, when she arrived to Granbohus which is a vacation and relief institution for home-grown children, adolescents and adults with physical and/or mental disabilities. At the arrival she was warmly welcomed by mayor of Fredensborg Municipality Thomas Lykke Pedersen and leader of Granbohus Thor Simony. Such as all the young people and children who welcomed the Crown Princess. It was a wonderful and sincere sight. Music was played, speeches were held and everybody seemed to have a brilliant time.

Visiting Granbohus, Mary was wearing a brand new dress. Heaven managed to find it at Paul & Joe, which seems to be a new favourite of hers. The dress features sheer sleeves with floral applications matching the rest of the dress. She embraced the style by also wearing reused wedges from Tod's. We have already seen these shoes quite many times before, here, here, here. I really use to like them, but somehow they looks a bit odd with this dress. I would love to have seen a pair of colorful pumps or even ballet flats would do. Am I the only one with this thought? What I do like is the fact that she has chosen to wear light blue jewellery from Pomellato and a golden necklace from Orit Elhanati. Guess she could have been wearing her golden Cartier bracelet as well. What really made my day about this outfit is her spirit. Her sincere commitment and warmhearted behaviour is wonderful to see.

Day 1. Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2018

Tuesday, May 15th

Tuesday morning the Crown Princess arrived to DR Concert House in Copenhagen to attend the opening of Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2018. The summit is an international conference focusing on sustainable fashion and has the Crown Princess as patron. It first took place back in 2009. At the arrival she was warmly welcomed by Eva Kruse and given flowers from the sweetest flower girl. As part of the opening, EU Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager gave the speech. Usually the Crown Princess herself use to address the opening speech, but not this time. She listened to Margrethe Vestager's words from first raw. The Crown Princess also payed a visit to the Innovation Forum exhibition, where companies presented different sustainable fashion solutions.

It is not the first time Mary has attended Copenhagen Fashion Summit wearing stunning and magnificent outfits. These ones from 2012, here, are some of my personal favourites.  And this one, here, from 2017 is also incredible. We never really know what to expect from her because every time we get surprised but her choices when it comes to clothes and accessories. This year she dazzled in a reused creation from Designers Remix. It goes back to the fashion summit in 2014, here. The dress is sustainably made of 100 % recycled polyester from plastic bottles, here. Personally, I am convinced that the dress from 2014 has been altered into a skirt because she's wearing a reused black blouse from Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. To me an alteration is the only possibility on how to wear it with that black blouse. I requested the designers and are still waiting for an answer. What do you think? As accessories she had chosen earrings (and a ring) from Pomellato, an Orit Elhanati necklace, bracelets from Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry. A really beautiful combination. She also embraced the style by wearing a reused suede clutch from Hugo Boss, first worn at a swimming event, here, and baby blue Gianvito Rossi pumps. These was worn during the second day in Japan, here. I am sure you remember them. Another thing I want you to notice is her hairstyle. I missed these updo's for so long. She even added a little hairclip from Pico.

Copenhagen: 10th anniversary conference

Tuesday, November 7th

KongehusetRoyals & FashionBilled-BladetFrederik et MaryDaily Mail

For ten years the Mary Foundation and Save the Children's program Free of Bullying has helped children combat bullying, get more confident and learned the importance of a good community. This is also the basis idea of the program; that community among children can prevent bullying. Even outside Denmark, the program has become quite popular. Now it is time to celebrate the 10th anniversary, which is done with a conference. And of course did the Crown Princess attend -both a committed to the program and as founder and chairwoman of the foundation. She arrived to Docken in Copenhagen with a huge smile on her face. She was in a really good mood during the conference. CEO of the Mary Foundation Helle Østergaard and General Secretary of Save the Children Jonas Keiding Lindholm also attended the celebration. The two of them and the rest of the participants carefully listened when the Crown Princess gave her speech.

This is just one of two conferences. The first one takes place on November 7th in Copenhagen. The other one is in Aarhus on November 9th. The Crown Princess will be present at both.

Attending the conference in Copenhagen on Tuesday, Mary was beautifully dressed in a chic work-wear outfit. She embrace the style by wearing blue in many different shades. The blazer has been worn by her at an occasion back in 2015, here. Do you remember it? Love it the first time. Love it as much now. Looks great combined with that light blue Prada blouse, which goes way back in time. She matched all of it with blue accessories as well. At the arrival I also spotted a blue Prada bag. So,  Other than a bag Mary embraced a chic business-style by wearing earrings matched with a ring from Pomellato, such as her golden Orit Elhanati necklace and blue suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Another detail I have come to love pricelessly, is her hairstyle. Wauw. And her makeup as well. Flawless, polished and very suitable for the outfit and occasion. Anything you would like to change? -I got nothing.

Christmas Seal 2016

Monday, October 31st

Crown Princess Mary attended as patron the presentation of this years Christmas seal at Copenhagen City Hall.

Every year since 1904 a new Christmas Seal has been presented where money goes to four Christmas Seal Homes for children in Denmark. For several years Mary has attended the presentation of the annual Christmas seal, so did she this year. It all took place in Copenhagen City Hall's banquet hall. It was as patron for the Christmas Seal Foundation the Crown Princess arrived to the presentation in a great mood. This year the stamp is drawn by Per O. Jørgensen who really did a great job. I think the motives are just wonderful, so did Mary. Right at the arrival Mary caught everybodys attention and all wanted a glimpse of the Crown Princess who took plenty of time to shake hands and greet. Finally the time was up and she revealed this years stamps, here. Think it was a pleasure for her to attend.

A few days ago a new interview with Mary was posted on the royal families facebook page, here. Itn a personal post the Crown Princess tells about her experiences as patron of Danish Refugee Aid on occasion of their 60th anniversary.

Don't know if she knew what colour artist Per O. Jørgensen had used in the stamps, but she perfectly matched by wearing that lovely blue dress! To me it's new, do you recall having seen it before? I don't. But it is really beautiful and very flattering. I would relly love to see the dress without the blazer because I think it is a gorgeous dress. Wonder if it features long sleeves or maybe cap sleeves? And what about the neckline? Oh... I have so many questions about this dress. The black blazer and skyhigh pointed pumps, which I believe are from Gianvito Rossi, make her look business chic. Imagine this for a day a work, well of course it depends on whay you do for a living. Though I think it would do good for many of you. One of my readers mentioned that a splash of red would do great, I totally agree which is why I adore her berry red lips. Nor the belted (Célineblazer or dress have I found yet. But if you have a qualified guess I'd love to hear about it. In blue she wore both earrings and a ring from Pomellato such as a Quidam clutch. Think you should take a look at her hairstyle, if you are about to find a clear picture. But it's worth noticing! Incredibly beautiful. Makes her look very sophisticated, elegant and feminine -of course.

Day 3. International Conference on Population and Development

Tuesday, September 29th

Crown Princess Mary attended different activities on occasion of the International Conference on Population and Development in New York. The Crown Princess has been present since September 27th.

Program:
  • 9:10 am. Crown Princess Mary attended the Women Deliver: The Road to Copenhagen 2016 meeting organized by Women Deliver, UNWomen and the Danish UN Mission

September 29th was her finial day in New York. After a three-day visit and participation the in the International Conference on Population and Developments different activities. The third day the Crown Princess attended Women Delivers: The Road to Copenhagen 2016 together with Executive directors of UN Women and Women Deliver, Kristian Jensen the Danish foreign minister, ministers for gender equality as well as young people from around the world all to discuss investment in girls' and women's health, rights and well-being. I am sure you all know that the Women Deliver Conference is taking place in Denmark next year in Mary with Crown Princess Mary as patron of the arrangement. During the one and a half hour meeting with Women Deliver they talked about next year's conference and what's it's all about: fighting to help girls and women to a better life. Everyone participating were in a extremely great mood as well the Crown Princess. In her speech she also mentioned how much she look forward to 2016 and to be able to host Women Deliver Conference in Denmark. Everyone was enthusiastic about the project. Because of the fifth goal of the UN 17th world goals about gender equality was brought up at the meeting, all the participating members were ready to take the chance to fight for the rights of girls and women.

It was her blue Signe Bøgelund-Jensen dress that caught my eye right away. I am not sure any other dress could have been more appropriate than this. It features some incredible details. It is not the first time we get to see her in Bøgelund-Jensen creations and I do not hope it is the last time. I would really love to see Mary wear this dress again. To match the blue and white printed dress, Mary accessorized the outfit with a leather belt, earrings and a ring featuring blue stones from Pomellato and other golden bracelets from Marianne Dulong. I also noticed that she was wearing her golden twisted Orit Elhanati necklace. Love how she mix and match all these small jewellery. Looks sophisticated and really stylish. Yet another blue accessory, are the pumps. These we have seen once before when she last year visited Home on occasion of the Child Welfare Day which Mary is patron of, here. At that time she also match the pumps with other blue pieces. Enough about all the talking. The lovely electric blue suede pumps are from Gianvito Rossi. I wonder how this dress would look with red pumps or maybe even green? This is why I truly hope we get to see the dress again -to see what other accessory she will wear to match it. She rock my world with this outfit. Makes me wanna try something similar. Could you see yourself wear a dress like this? A magnificent look the last day in New York.

Conference on language

Monday, March 2nd

Crown Princess Mary attended, as patron of the Mary Foundation, the Language Conference at the Black Diamond in Copenhagen.

It was on occasion of the Language Conference that the Crown Princess arrived to the Black Diamond in Copenhagen. She attended as patron of the Mary Foundation who have been involved in the planning of this conference along with University of Aalborg. The conference aim to promote the importance of children's language and the importance of improving children's language skills in the age from 0-6 years old. It has been proven that focus on language in an early age will help us further in life. Already working with projects for children in that age, the Mary Foundation is the perfect partner to collaborate with. The Crown Princess attended the conference along with CEO of the Mary Foundation Helle Østergaard, by whom she was welcomed by at the arrival. Mary found her spot on the stage and gave the opening speech, talking about the importance of improving children's language in an early stage of their live. During the rest of her visit, she carefully listened to everything discussed.

When Mary arrived to the Black Diamond in Copenhagen, she was in a great mood and looked beautifully as always. She had chosen a chic business-like suit paired with one of her reused Prada blouses and a brand new printed scarf such as a black tote bag. My first thought about who designed the suit was Hugo Boss. Trying to find the one I stumbled across this one here (picture 16.) Let me hear what you think or if you have found the right one.I have also been looking almost everywhere to find a scarf and after a looooong I found a scarf but it seems that I’m wrong because more then one of you have responded on the information I gave – that it was from Saint Tropez. All of you told me that the scarf is from By Malene Birger and I believe you. I pretty much like the scarf with the gery/black leopard pattern it give the outfit a whole new look! And actually one of you remembered that this is not new but used before when she visited Australia, unofficial, in 2010, here. To match cool business-wear she wore sky blue earrings and a matching ring from Pomellato. An identification that has taken me years to figure out. Talking about accessories I also have to mention her black pointed SAND Copenhagen pumps as well as the bag. Judging on the shape and logo we are dealing with a Prada tote bag.
