Meeting with the Mary Foundation's Presidium

May 14, 2025

Queen Mary hosted the annual meeting for the Mary Foundation's Presidium.

Representatives from Tuborgfondet, Egmont Foundation Secretariat, the Ole Kirk's Fundation, the Wiliam Demant Foundation, TrygFonden, The Obelske Family Foundation, the Hempel Foundation, Østifterne and the Lauritzen Foundation were all invited to the board meeting.

The Presidium were gathered at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg.

Mary first wore this fine blue Victoria Beckham blouse in 2018. Since then we have seen her wear it with black skirts, a floral skirt, a lace one and a creamy white skirt. At the board meeting she had chosen a pair of wide-legged Proenza Shoulder trousers matched with a chic Balenciaga belt. I always liked the blouse but the white trousers got me. It looks beautiful.

She embraced the snake-skin-style with amazing reused pointed pumps from Gianvito Rossi. The cool tortoise-like glasses are rather new ones from Gucci. I have a difficult time identifying her jewellery. I recognize the golden Julie Sandlau necklace featuring her children's initials. The beautiful P. Hertz bracelet is a gift from her husband. Custom-made by his request. The earring could be from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Conference for health care nurses and presentation of the "Teaching Award 2024"

23 September 2024

On Monday, Queen Mary arrived at the Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center in Copenhagen to attended the opening of the conference for health care nurses along with the Mary Foundation. The Queen was welcomed by Susanne Rank Lücke, Chairman of the Professional Association for Health Care Nurses. She was accompanied by Helle Østergaard, Director of the Mary Foundation.

The conference takes place from September 23-24th and gather professionals from all over the country for an update on the health care system and to network through workshops along with presentations from prominent experts in their field. "Violence in the family" was the team of this years conference.

Queen Mary also attended the presentation of the "Teaching Award 2024". When arriving at the Opera, she was warmly welcomed by Minister of Education and Research Christina Egelund.

She was there to honor and congratulate this years 7 award winners, who represent each their profession/education. They receive the "Teaching Award" due to their innovative way of teaching by cases, roleplays and including professionals from businesses.

Mary looked super elegant in a reused outfit. Do you recall when she last wore this soft blue Victoria Beckham blouse and colorful printed Paul & Joe skirt? You are right! When King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway visited Copenhagen in 2023. Actually, Mary also wore this exact combo at the inauguration of Herlev's new Emergency Room and Woman-Child Center in 2021.

This time at the conference and following presentation, she embraced the style by wearing old white South Sea pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a matching custom-made bracelet, such as two golden bangles. She has been wearing these golden bracelets quite a few times lately and I still do not know anything about them. We also get a glimpse of her beloved diamond 'F'-necklace.

The stunning beige pointed pumps are Gianvito Rossi. Mary has worn these pumps at 34 (now 35) times since 2016! Her elegant red Hugo Boss handbag is rather new. It goes back to 2020. The chick glasses are from Gucci.

Day 1. Official visit from Norway

15 June 2023

BUSINESS CONFERENCE

King Harald and wife Queen Sonja of Norway are on official visit in Denmark these days. They were warmly welcomed by Queen Margrethe earlier in the morning.

In the afternoon, the Crown Prince Couple accompanied the pair at a business conference at Dansk Industri in Copenhagen (here).

I'm always a big fan of her reused outfits! It's very inspirational to see how little has to change before it looks like a completely new outfit. That is what happened at the business conference at Dansk Industri.

Mary embraced the style of an old outfit - a stunning blue Victoria Beckham blouse and a floral printed Paul & Joe skirt. She first wore this look at the inauguration of Herlev's new emergency room and women-child center in 2021 (here).

As jewellery, Mary had chosen magnificent aquamarine earrings purchased at Bruun Rasmussen Auction many years ago. Actually, she first wore them in 2004! The golden bangle is from Rebekka Notkin and her delicate diamond rings are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

A closer look revealed that Mary was also wearing a brand new P. Hertz bracelet. Amazing piece of work. Hope we are going to see this bracelet many more times from now on.

The fine quilted handbag is a Chanel design and a wonderful match with the beige python pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

DINNER, AMALIENBORG

It had already been a wonderful day for the King and Queen of Norway since they arrived in Copenhagen. They were welcomed by Queen Margrethe, when they arrived by ship from Oslo. Around noon, the Crown Prince Couple accompanied the three of them for a business conference.

In the evening, King Harald and Queen Sonja were invited to dinner with Queen Margrethe as hostess. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary also attended the dinner taking place at Chrisitan VII's Palace at Amalienborg (here).

The arrival and following dinner were broadcasted live on Danish tv (here).

Mary was dressed like a cotton candy dream wearing her reused MaxMara evening gown. She first wore the gown in 2017, when attending the 80th birthday celebration of King Harald and Queen Sonja (here). I love the idea of her wearing the exact same dress now in Denmark honoring their visit.

When did she wear it best? In 2017 or now in 2023.

At the dinner, Mary embraced the dreamy evening outfit with a reused tiara and matching earrings. She has worn this combo on a number of different occasion since 2015. The tiara was then purchased at Bruun Rasmussen.

Her fine 'F'-necklace is her beloved Halberstadt creation. A beautiful dedication to her husband. At the dinner, Mary matched it with a "new" necklace. Till now, she has worn the 'F'-necklace with a Julie Sandlau necklace. This second one is still unidentified. The same goes with her bracelets and huge ring.

The golden leather pumps are old ones from Manolo Blahnik. I always had the idea that these pumps are suuuuuuper comfortable to wear. I have heard that Blahnik's should be really good heels for all-day wear.

Mary also embraced the evening style with a SERPUI box clutch.

The official opening of UC SYD Campus Kolding

06 September 2022

Most of Crown Princess Mary's duties are in Copenhagen, but now and then, she also goes to Jutland to attended and participate events. Lately, she has both been visiting Herning and Sønderborg (here). On

Tuesday, the Crown Princess went to Kolding to attend the official opening of UC SYD Campus Kolding. The new campus is education both pedagogues, graphic communicators, sound designers, etc. UC SYD Campus is now South Jutland's largest institution of education.

Crown Princess Mary was the one to official inaugurate the new campus. Later on, she was given a tour around the facilities, among others, a soundstudio. She also met with some of the students taking their education at UC Syd Campus Kolding.

Mary embraced a super chic (summery?) style at the grand opening in Kolding. She had chosen to rewear her light blue Victoria Beckham blouse and an old creamy white DAY Birger et Mikkelsen midi-skirt. She has worn this combo before. Among others, at an annual meeting with the Mary Foundation's Presidum in 2018 (here) and for some official photos by photographer Franne Voigt (here).

She styled the outfit with a raffia belt from Prada. I haven't really decided if I like it or not. It goes well with the outfit, but maybe not my personal taste. What are your thoughts?

As jewellery, Mary chose her beloved white South Sea pearl earrings created by Dulong Fine Jewelry. Both diamond ring and one of the golden bracelets are also by the hand of talented goldsmiths at Dulong Fine Jewelry. Rebekka Notkin mastered her other golden bracelet and ring.

No clutch or bag for this event, but her shoes are from Gianvito Rossi. Imagine wearing white suede pumps several times and they are still as good as new. Impressive. Mary wore the same shoes, when attending Copenhagen Business School's Responsibility Day 2021 (here). I am a fan.

Exclusive birthday interview with Jyllands-Posten

05 February

We have already had the chance of reading plenty of personal and exclusive birthday interview in Billed Bladet (here), Financial Times (here) and now Jyllands-Posten (here). She was interview about her role as mother, what it is like to have teenagers in the house, what she has achieved so far and her work as Crown Princess.

Stine Bidstrup captured some wonderful photos of the Crown Princess at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg (here). The light in those photos are absolutely outstanding. Once I wanted to be a professional photographer and this is exactly why. To make beautiful photos like these.

Mary really stunned in these new photos by Stine Bidstrup! She was wearing one of her old Victoria Beckham blouses and a rather new Mark Kenly Domino Tan full skirt in midi length. We first saw the skirt at the preparations of her Koldinghus exhibition (here). The blouse was seen at, among others, the inauguration of Herlev's new Emergency Room and Woman-Child Center (here).

She accessorized this amazing outfit with several golden jewellery. Like the golden diamond earrings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Their designs are always incredible. Just look at them. They are small leaves covered in diamonds! Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen is also the talented master behind Mary's new large ring. I hope to get a better look at it one day. A third diamond band is also from the Copenhagen based designer. Another one of her bracelets are Cartier and a second one, Dulong Fine Jewelry. I see one more, but at the moment, I do not recognize it.

Inauguration of Herlev's new Emergency Room and Woman-Child Center

02nd June

The last week, the weather has been phenomenal. Warm with lots of sunshine. The perfect weather for an inauguration. That is exactly what Crown Princess Mary attended. She visited Herlev to inaugurate the new emergency room and woman-child center at Herlev Hospital. It includes around 300 new rooms for patinas, special designed green areas and a new Emergency Room. The two new wards are connected with a main entrance.

Crown Princess Mary arrived in a splendid mood. She was one big smile. Many were gathered close to the main entrance to get a glimpse of the Crown Princess. She took her time greeting them. Minister of Health, Magnus Heunicke and President of the Regional Council, Sophie Hæstorp Andersen gladly welcomed the her and followed her at a guided tour around the brand new facilities in Herlev.

For the official inauguration, Crown Princess Mary cut the iconic red ribbon with a (very) golden scissors. She was given a clear view of what these new facilities have in advance - several new rooms for patients, a brand new emergency room, among others a trauma department. Many of the rooms have a view of the outdoor green areas that should function recreationally and as sensory areas for patients and their families.

I think we can agree on at least one thing: Mary's outfit at the inauguration of the new emergency room and women-child center in Herlev, was absolutely stunning! She was so radiant with the warm smile and summer chic outfit. Her look was really well put together. That light blue Victoria Beckham blouse and floral printed white midi skirt from Paul & Joe are a magnificent combination. Don't you think? She has worn the blouse on quite a few previous events, but the skirt is now only seen for the second time. Mary first wore the skirt, when she attended the grand opening of Holmegaard Værk in Fensmark back in June 2020 (here).

She embraced the style by wearing lovely blue earrings and a matching ring both from Pomellato. I am impressed how well they match the blouse in color. It is almost the same shade of blue. Mary is a tru fan of golden jewellery. I get it: gold looks beautiful to her fair skin, brown eyes and dark brown hair. At the inauguration, she wore her golden bangle from Cartier and two other bracelets from talented Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Another accessory that complimented her look with true perfection, is the burgundy leather handbag from Hugo Boss. I wish these handbags would be highest fashion again. I simply love the shape and color. I still need to track down the model in the right burgundy color, but it also looks splendid in green leather as the link shows. Her beige python pumps are from Gianvito Rossi. The exact same as those from Prince Christian's confirmation on May 15th (here).

Since she started wearing a face mask, I was wondering where it could be from. Mary is not wearing the one-time-face-masks, but instead she wears reusable masks. Finally, I was able to find them at Kartó.

The annual art competition

18th November

As patron of both the National Association for Mental Health (SIND) and the Psychiatry Fund Crown Princess Mary attended a very special event taking place at Copenhagen City Hall. More specifically, she attended the annual art competition arranged by Copenhagen Municipality.

The competition is for all employees working in the area of social psychiatry and people with a mental disorders and their relatives. With an event like this Copenhagen Municipality aim to give both citizens and their relatives the opportunity to become part of a community and of course make it a good experience for all participants.

Crown Princess Mary arrived in a great spirit. With a big smile on her face she took plenty of time listening, commenting, speaking and watching. She spoke with the participants and they gladly told her about their paintings and how it had being part of the competition. It was a wonderful sight to see when the participants and Crown Princess Mary met. All lit up at the sight of her and vice versa.

Attending the competition at Copenhagen City Hall Mary was dressed in a warm and cozy outfits. Personally I get why she was wearing a knitted sweater and long trousers. The weather is getting colder every day. I learned that Elena has been able to identify Mary's new knitted sweater as a Victoria Beckham design, here. If she is going to wear this piece as much as her other Victoria Beckham blouse then this is differently a sweater we will see again - more than one time. She embraced the style by wearing a brand new sleeveless blouse as well. It features an embellished collar and a blueish floral print. Kate managed to find her new blouse at Miu Miu. Great finds both of you.

She had chosen to accessorized her outfit with just a few things. To me it looks like she was wearing her old pink argyle and diamond studs from Hartmann's. When she first started wearing these stunning earrings, she wore them very often. But until now, we haven't seen them that much. I would really like to have them as part of my own jewellery collection - or something similar, but somehow I am not good with the design. The floor-length trousers almost covered the black pointed ankle boots from Gianvito Rossi.

The Women's Home and an officers dinner

11 September

Crown Princess Mary payed a special visit to The Women's Home (Kvindehjemmet) at Jagtvej along with the Mary Foundation on Wednesday. The Women's Home is Denmark's largest women's shelter. During her visit she met with both former and present residents of the home with whom she talked about backpacks. More specifically backpacks given to all children who live with their mother and possible siblings at the shelter. These backpacks are part of a Mary Foundation project and are given to children in both Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

A quote from the Mary Foundations Facebook post (embedded down below) says that the backpacks helps children to know that they are seen, heard and taken serious. The Crown Princess also talked with employees working at the shelter. Among others, they told her that they use the backpacks and its contents to help children describe and puts words on feelings related to violent experiences. The Royal House has now published a short interview with the Crown Princess and one of the employee, here.

According to the official calendar Crown Princess was suppose to attend a dinner at Fredensborg Castle the previous evening hosted Queen Margrethe. The dinner was held for officers at Dannebrog as a way of thanking them for another year of sailing. But not pictures have been published.

Visiting The Women's Home at Jagtevej Mary was dressed in a lovely reused outfit. She matched her light blue blouse from Victoria Beckham with a black pleated skirt. The skirt is also a reuse, but I have never managed to identify where it is from. This time I noticed that it features small dots. Maybe that will help us identifying it. Keep your eyes open and let me know if you see or hear anything about her skirt.

To match the chic outfit she chose to wear her black leather pumps from Valentino featuring rivets. A classy pump with a touch of rock and roll. The blue earrings and matching ring are both from Pomellato. They go way back in time, just as the diamond ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The same designer made one of her golden bangles. She also wore her Cartier bracelet in shiny gold and her Nadia Shelbaya necklace.

I also noticed how beautiful her hair looks. I love when she wears curly hair. Makes her look young and fresh (if that's the right word to use). Love how Mary made this outfit look so casual. Whenever I am wearing pleated skirts and soft blouses, I tend to look a bit overdressed. But not Mary.

Women Deliver 2019

This year the international conference Women Deliver takes place in Vancouver, Canada from June 3-5th. It was announced a month ago who would host the next conference. Like previous years, the Crown Princess is attending the conference which is world-leading on equality, girls and women's health, rights and well-being. This years conference focus on "Power. Progress. Change".

During the three days conference, more than 8,500 people are attending from over 150 different countries. Both experts, NGO's, politicians, organizations, etc. are gathered in Vancouver to discuss and share ideas about new strategies on how to make the world a better place for girls and women. Crown Princess Mary is one of them.

The Crown Princess acted patron for the event five years ago in 2016 when Copenhagen hosted the conference. Also in 2009 (Washington) and 2012 (Kuala Lumpur) was the Crown Princess invited to attend Women Deliver. She is also influencer for the Deliver for Good campagne launched three years ago.

03 June

On Monday it all started. Crown Princess Mary had arrived to Vancouver, Canada to attend this years Women Deliver Conference 2019. During the day she participated in a number of different events. From front raw the Crown Princess listened, questioned and was overall committed.

Among others, she attended the panel debate #ThePowerOfUs from which the pictures below were taken, here. Among the participants was 18 year old Natasha. She gave a strong impression on the Crown Princess. The young woman made it clear that young people do play an important role in creating a world with equal rights and possibilities for everbody. Listning to 18 year old Natasha made on impression on Crown Princess Mary, who mentioned the young woman in a quote on the royal family's social media platforms, here.

The Crown Princess also stated that it is really exciting to be in Vancouver to attend Women Deliver. She is impressed that more than 8,500 people are participating and that the atmosphere is all about energy and optimism.

Day one of the conference Mary wore two different outfits. The first I am aware of is her wearing black suit - fitted black trousers and a matching blazer. I cannot tell for sure if she has worn it before, because the lack of pictures. She probably did wear the suit on a previous occasion. The bright red blouse with the lovely print is one from Erdem. It has been seen before when participating a workshop on social norms with the Mary Foundation and other collaborators in March, here. It then looks like she embraced the style by wearing her reused Prada handbag and simple black pumps from Jimmy Choo. I imagine they are quite comfortable to wear all day because of the chunky heel. It is not the first time she took advantage of a large heeled pump. Mary actually wore this combo of shoes and bag when visiting Sorglinjen on May 29th, here.

Later, when she attended the opening of the Women Deliver 2019 Conference, she had changed her outfit. Now Mary was wearing a reused pleated midi skirt from Designers Remix. This skirts was first worn three years ago when she attended the UNGA in New York, here. At that time she matched the skirt with a simple black blouse, and this time in Vancouvers she had chosen a plain white pleated blouse from to match the skirt. Lovely and minimalistic. As earlier in the morning, she was still wearing a black blazer. I also noticed diamond earrings. Guess that she could also be wearing fine bracelets to match the rest of the outfit.

04 June

It had been a busy first day in Vancouver. The Crown Princess had been participating several events and panel debates. On the second day Crown Princess Mary, among others, participated EdTech Talk - The future of health worker training. Here she was given the change to know more about how hard a challenge it can be to safe a newborn baby's life. She even tried first-aid herself on a baby doll called NeoNatalie, here. EdTech is all about future learning. Who technology will be able to help to, among others, train and educate midwives in low and middle income countries the lifesaving treatment of mothers and newborns. The Crown Princess also gave a speech as part of the event , which was organized by Maternity Foundation, ICM (the global midwives organization), Laerdal Global Health and Microsoft.

I never participated a conference myself, but I imagine it takes a quite comfortable outfit because you are wearing it all day. Mary looked really comfortable in what she was wearing during the second day of the Women Deliver 2019 conference. She had chosen to wear a reused blue blouse from Victoria Beckham with what looks like a brand new black lace skirt. A good friend of mine suggested that her new skirt could be from Dolce & Gabbana, here. It is very likely because they often make similar skirts and dresses like the one Mary is wearing at the conference. Let me know what you think or if you have heard anything interesting I need to know about. She accessorized the outfit with earrings and a ring both from Pomellato, and three bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The fourth one looks a lot like her Cartier bangle. We also got a glimpse of her Prada handbag. I am not quite sure about the navy blue suede pumps. Are these old or new?

05 June

Two long days had passed and the Crown Princess was only able to stay in Vancouver, Canada for one more day. June 5th is a special day celebrated in Denmark. It is our Constitution Day. This day the Danes celebrated the Danish democracy. On that occasion Crown Princess Mary attended a morning event with other Danes now living in the Vancouver-area. Seems like everyone were having a great time chatting and having a cup of coffee.

With only very few pictures from the morning event it is a bit difficult to tell exactly what Mary was wearing at the event. Nevertheless I immediately recognized her printed dress. It is from Diane von Furstenberg. She first wore this dress back in 2018 during an official visit to Seattle in May, here. The navy blue coat is not new, though I first thought it was. Actually it goes back to around 2017 when she wore it at an event on occasion of the Mary Foundations 10th anniversary, here. The lovely blue coat is from Harris Wharf London. Think she is wearing matching blue pumps as well. We get a glimpse of white pearl earrings, which I believe is from Dulong Fine Jewelry and her Nadia Shelbaya necklace.

It has been three wonderful day, and I strongly believe the Crown Princess found this a very interesting and educational visit.

'CBS Responsibility Day'

September, Monday 3rd

It was a big day for all the students on their first day at Copenhagen Business School. Makes me think of my first day as a student one and a half year ago. On the occasion Crown Princess Mary attended 'CBS Responsibility Day' taking place at Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center in Copenhagen. 'The CBS Responsibility Day' focus on responsibility - especially when it comes to business.

Looks like the Crown Princess was in a splendid mood when she arrived to Tivoli Hotel & Congress Center. She was one big smile at the welcoming. From first raw the Crown Princess paid attention to everything that was going on, on the stage. Later on she entered the stage herself and gave the most inspiring speech. She spoke of how and why responsibility is so important to keep in mind. In her speech she also took plenty of time talking about why it was such an important day for the students. That studies can open a whole new world of opportunities as well as make one grow as a person. Eloquent as always. Pay attention to her speeches; she mater words like few other.

Her being eloquent is no secret. Her being well-dressed is neither a secret. It showed at 'the CBS Responsibility Day'. Mary showed up wearing the most incredible workwear outfit. New pieces matched with good reused pieces. I am sure you all recall the Victoria Beckham blouse. Actually we have seen it at a couple of occasions. It was first seen at the annual meeting with the Mary Foundation, here, and later on an official photo on occasion of Crown Prince Frederik's 50th birthday, here. Do you have a favourite outfit?

Today she matched her blue creation with a brand new skirt featuring small dots. I haven't found anything similar yet. She embraced the look by wearing it with a new belt as well. I would like a few more close-ups. Also to get a better look at the other accessories. Hitting it with perfection Mary wore white pearl earrings and a bracelet both from Dulong Fine Jewelry. We get a glimpse of her wearing black pumps which I finally recognized as Valentino. You know the classy studded model. Quality also describes her Quidam clutch. Think she is wearing her black one, but the lack of pictures makes it a bit difficult to tell for sure.

She added a simple hairstyle, natural makeup and red nails. Pretty good, right? I wouldn't mind wearing this outfit myself any time really.

Annual meeting with the Mary Foundation

Wednesday, May 9th

For years it has been a tradition for the Crown Princess and her foundation, to gather all collaborators and partners for an annual meeting. As last year, the meeting took place at Frederik VIIIs palace at Amalienborg in Copenhagen. The gathering makes it possible to talk about the Mary Foundations results from the previous year and discuss future plans. So around noon, the Crown Princess took  a stand and initiated the meeting with a few words as chairwoman of the foundation.

At the meeting Mary had chosen to embrace a summer chic outfit. Kinds relaxed but classy at the same time. Only very few photos from the meeting have been released, which makes it a little difficult to tell for sure what she was wearing. First glimpse of the new blue blouse made me think of Hugo Boss -so did a friend of mine. Shortly after, Heaven managed to identify Mary's new blouse as a Victoria Beckham design. We agreed that it is the first time she has ever worn anything from this particular designer. I really fancy its sleeves and experimenting neckline. When it comes to the bottom part it becomes a bit more troubled. Still I am sure to have identified what she is wearing to match the blue blouse. In my opinion Mary wore her reused creamy skirt from DAY Birger Et Mikkelsen from the launch of Loving Spoken, here, and at Day of Research 2016, here. Then I am a hundred procent sure she embraced the style by wearing a new raffia belt from Prada. As other accessories she had chosen jewellery from both Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry.
