Anthology about violence

28th February

Crown Princess Mary did not just come home for nothing. On February 27th she attended the presentation of the EliteForsk Awards 2020 taking place in the Opera, here. A great day with many smiles, happy faces and gratulations to the five winners and 18 students who received a travel grant.

The following day, she participated the launch of a brand new anthology about violence - a collaboration between the Mary Foundation and Live Without Violence. It took place at Frederiksberg in Copenhagen.

Both the Mary Foundation and Live Without Violence (Lev Uden Vold) works to combat and prevent, among others domestic violence, solitude and bullying. Live Without Violence aim to raise awareness and knowledge about the topic and to create more and better help to people who have experience violence. Now the two of them have developed a new anthology for students. the anthology is called "Domestic violence - knowledge for professionals" (Vold i hjemmet - viden for fagfolk).

The Crown Princess was in a splendid mood all day. At the arrival she was warmly welcomed with smiles and handshakes. Several speeches were given during the event, including one from the guest of honor herself. Crown Princess Mary spoke about how important it is to be able to see signs, have the gut to ask for help and solutions, takes knowledge and insight. Also how essential it is for professionals to know what to look for when it comes to domestic violence. The Mary Foundation shared moments from the event on Facebook (see post below).

Attending the launch of a new anthology about violence, Mary was beautifully dressed in a red and black color-combo. It was also a combo of textures, such as new and old pieces. I am sure you are able to point out what is what. Especially if you have followed me and the Crown Princess for a couple of years.

Mary embraced the style of early spring by wearing a brand new knitted blouse. It features a stripe of beige knit work around the neckline and both sleeves. So far, I have not been able to identify who made her new blouse. Any ideas? Then let me know. It reminds me really much of her rather new Oscar de la Rente blouse, here. I like this new piece. Quite a lot actually. She matched the chic blouse with simple black trousers and a smashing red coat. I would argue that Mary is indeed wearing a coat that goes back 2008, but now it has been altered into a shorter version. Because the original almost reached her knees.

As I said, to me it looks like Mary was wearing a red (altered) coat first worn at the Royal Life Guard's 350th anniversary in 2008. More specifically, Mary stunned attending the International Military Tattoo at Rosenborg, here. Since then, she has worn the longer version at five other events. Among others in 2011 at the annual opening of the Danish Parliament, here. Do you see the resemblance?

She accessories her wonderful outfit with dazzling jewellery. The diamond earrings are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen such as the matching diamonds bracelet. Of course she embraced the style with more amazing pieces of jewellery - a ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry, a bracelet from the same designer, and a glittering butterfly brooch. The butterfly is a symbol for the Mary Foundation.

Almost covered by trousers, shows her black leather and suede cap-toe Hugo Boss Boss. The cap-toe is a cleaver detail. As much as the coat caught my attention, is the new little handbag a new favorite of mine. Chok I love it! Heaven informed me that Mary's new Italian-leather handbag is also from Hugo Boss. So far, non of us have been able to find it in the right color, but maybe you have more luck than we do.
