"Søren Vester's Garden - Biodiversity and Castle Gardens"

20 August, 2025

"Never have I ever imagined that I would participate in a documentary about gardens". Queen Mary is participating a new documentary about biodiverse gardens. She shares her fascination of wild garden with Søren Vester. He is a famous well-known Danish host of a tv show focuses on gardens and nature.

Søren Vester is given a tour around the private garden at Fredensborg presented by the Queen herself.

The documentary is broadcasted on Danish television of August 20th at 8pm local time. You also find the episode on DRtv.

Queen Mary share own personal experiences with nature and what it gives her paying attention to the nature around her. How it makes space for her to think and reflect about life. How nature do not expect something of her.

I watched the documentary. It is a short but heartwarming and honest interview.

I have no words about how much I adore Mary's outfit in the new DR documentary! That new embroidered SEA blouse combined with those caramel colored linen shorts are simply wonderful. I love everything about it. Casual but differently worth a tv program.

Mary matched her new blouse and shorts with a beloved diamond necklace from Louise Grønlykke. The pendant is significantly beautiful. So is the Rebekka Notkin bangle and colorful Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelet. I spotted a diamond ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and her Oura health tracker ring.

I learned that her new braided flats are from Michel Vivien. At first I was not quite sure about the color. Think it made her a bit pale but the more I study them the more I love them.

I'm crazy to hear your thoughts!

Summer at Gråsten castle

July 28, 2025

According to several media's the royal family have spend time at the family chateau in France during the summer. On Tuesday King Frederik and Queen Mary moved in at Gråsten castle in Gråsten to spend the rest of their holiday along with Queen Margrethe and her two sister's.

The couple were warmly welcomed by Sønderborg municipality and its citizens. Princess Isabella and Prince Vincent joined their parents.

Maybe you recall having seen this outfit not long ago? You are right. Mary wore the same old linen blazer from Ralph Lauren and new printed ME+EM dress on her second day in Nigeria on June 25th. I know we all like when she is wearing new pieces or simply reuse pieces in different ways, but I am also quite in love with her repeating outfits like in arriving to Gråsten.

These sling-back kitten heels will never be my favorite style in shoes. I really like the texture of her new ones from Gianvito Rossi. The woven brown leather is beautifully made. I do like that she matched the shoes with that brow leather belt from Max Mara. Makes the look complete on a whole other level.

Mary also embraced the style by wearing stunning Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings and a couple of bracelets from the same talented designer. Her third golden bangle is studded with diamonds and are from Rebekka Notkin. I see an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond ring as well. The Cartier watch was a lovely addition.

Denmark's assumption of the EU presidency

July 03, 2025

Visiting ARoS

King Frederik and Queen Mary atteneded a number of different events in Aarhus to mark Denmark's assumption of the EU presidency on July 7th.

The royal couple were accompanied by among others Denmark's Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen when visiting the art museum ARoS in Aarhus.

Later on King Frederik welcomed the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyj. He is visiting Denmark on occasion of the official opening of the Danish EU presidency.

When attending a concert with the Royal Danish Academy of Music in May of this year, Mary embraced the same Max Mara suit and dusty rose blazer. It is not my favorite outfit but the colors look great on her! I kinda like the idea of a "business suit" but in a more soft color and fabric.

Mary styled the Max Mara outfit with gorgeous Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings made of beautiful Rose Quartz. These earrings goes back to 2009. The diamond studded Louise Grønlykke necklace is rather new. She flashed it when visiting Nigeria in June. I am still very interested in her diamond ring. It's so beautiful!

The suede pumps are from Gianvito Rossi. I really like that she chose suede pumps and not leather. Makes a great contribute to the rest of her outfit.

Out for a ride

By looking at what she was wearing I'm guessing the Queen went for a horse ride after the event in Aarhus. Perhaps at Marselisborg. The couple are staying at Dannebrog while visiting Aarhus. She was caught leaving the royal yacht driving off.

I truly love when Mary is wearing such a casual outfit like this when out in public. I'm not the sporty type but even I am inspired to wear something similar. She matched a brand new white/blue striped Cavalleria blouse with tights from the same brand. The cool belt has been identified as Pampeano. A new brand we have never seen her wear before.

Mary embraced the look with Ray Ban sunglasses and a new matching Palorosa bag. Seems like Mary is quite fond of these bags. This is her third. Her nice green patent leather sandals are from Birkenstock. A classy and stunning model. The pastel colored hair-tie is from Kknekki.

Mary looked absolutely stunning in that bright red Max Mara jumpsuit! I love the color next to her fair skin and dark brown hair. When we are talking about hair: do we love that up-do?! Mary also carried a white linen blazer. The label looks like Max Mara but I can't tell for sure what model it is. I need more to say anything for sure.

She matched the magnificent jumpsuit with fine diamond studs, a fine necklace from Louise Grønlykke and a smashing ring from Rebekka Notkin. From the same designer Mary also wore a golden bangle styled with a reused Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen bracelet.

To quite sure about the clutch. Maybe a little too casual for the event? It is a new one from By Malene Birger. Nevertheless it was a great match to the Salvatore Ferragamo heeled sandals.

July 4th, 2025

Queen Mary was guest of honor at the official opening of Global Fashion Summit: Copenhagen Edition 2025 taking from these days in Copenhagen. The Queen has been patron of the Global Fashion Agenda since 2009.

The event gathered more than 1,000 actors from the global fashion industry. They were gathered to discuss this years' theme "Barriers and Bridges".

She also visited Innovation Forum on occasion of the summit. She was introduced to different companies who works with bio-based lycra and silk, digital showroom solutions and less resource-intensive textile dyeing.

Maybe not her most well-put-together outfit but I really love the idea of matching light grey and brown. That I like. Don't think I have ever really tought about that being such a wonderful color-combo. Her linen set is from the talented Danish designer Mark Kenly Domino Tan. Mary first wore the set when visiting France in April. It created headlines back then.

Mary accessorized the fine linen set with a reused Zimmerman belt and brown midi heels from Gianvito Rossi. I truly wish she had worn some other pieces of jewellery. Something a bit more bold. Nevertheless both the golden Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings and the Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen rings are remarkable craftsmanship.

What did you have in mind for this event?

I am aware that Princess Isabella and her younger sister Princess Josephine have become quite an interest to many of you. So I decided to share my knowledge about their outfits as well. Princess Isabella looked amazing in a bright orange suit from Harris Wharf London and her mother's Prada blouse. She embraced the outfit with Aquamarine earrings, a golden Dulong Fine Jewelry necklace and brown suede Gianvito Rossi pumps.

Princess Josephine wore the most wonderful printed blouse from Zimmermann and simple white trousers. Very similar to the outfit her mother wore at the presentation of the National Teaching Award in 2023. The princess accessorized her look with golden jewellery from, among others, Dulong Fine Jewelry and cool black sling-back flats.

Mary had chosen a stunning navy blue dress created by Danish designer Søren Le Schmidt. He is indeed a talented tailor. The details are magnificent! Not quite sure I like the added Prada belt but I like the idea of something that emphasis her waist. Her dazzling diamond earrings are once purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction. The brooch is a masterpiece by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. We also get a glimpse of python pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

Opening of "Danner of Denmark"

30 April 2025

Queen Mary attended the grand opening of the exhibition "Danner of Denmark" - an exhibition about Countess Danner. Her life is exhibited with personal and historical belongings at Frederiksborg.

The Queen was welcomed with flowers by flower girl Viktoria and Frederiksborg museum's CEO Ulla Tofte. The exhibition was declared officially open by Queen Mary's fine speech.

After her speech she was given a guided tour around the exhibition at the Princess corridor at Frederiksborg. Here Countess Danner got married to King Frederik VII.

Mary was beautifully dressed in a bright purple Prada blouse and a stunning black midi-length skirt from Mark Kenly Domino Tan. Both pieces are reused at previous occasions. Not quite sure I understand the combo but I kinda like it. Especially because she matched the skirt with black sling-back pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

It has been a long time since she has worn that amazing floral printed Paul Smith scarf. I always loved it. The colors are elegant en classy. A perfect match with the purple Carlend Copenhagen clutch.

I get it why Mary had chosen to wear Countess Danner's golden Citrine earrings but not the greatest color with the purple theme. Or what it your opinion? Her huge Amethyst ring caught my eyes right away. It is differently new but so far I do not know a thing about it.

Mary also embraced the outfit with jewellery from Rebekka Notkin, Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and Dulong Fine Jewelry. Her glasses are rather new ones from Gucci.

Exhibition about Countess Danner

28 April 2025

Queen Mary will attend the official opening of a new exhibition of Countess Danner within a couple of days on April 30th.

On that occasion the Queen has agreed to participated in a small interview casted at the exhibition about the Countess and her life based on the Countess' personal and historical belongings.

Queen Mary visited the exhibition herself on April 28th prior to the grand opening.

The exhibition is open for the public at Frederiksborg from May 1st to November 16th 2025.

Mary first wore the bespoke coat at Flag Day in 2020. It is created by Danish designer Søren Le Schmidt. The sculptures details are simple exquisite! She honored the designer by wearing his creation on the day of Crown Prince Christian's 18th birthday in 2023. When visiting Frederiksborg she also wore a fine beige wool cape. It is a reuse but I have never been able to identify it.

She also embraced the style of her beautiful coat with her beloved blue Connaught Sapphire Brooch with diamonds and white pearls. A stunning match with the diamond earrings and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen rings. Her nude python pumps are from Gianvito Rossi.

Easter high mass at Holmens Church

20 April 2025

King Frederik and Queen Mary attended an Easter high mass at Holmens Church in Copenhagen. The very same church that hosted the twins christening in 2011 - and Queen Margrethe's christening in 1940.

Happy Easter everyone! 🐥

What a lovely outfit Mary wore at the Easter high mass at Holmens Church on Sunday. The colors are lovely. A bit Autumn-like but I am fan. Love how she styled the beautiful printed ME+EM blouse with the smashing The Fold London trousers. It is a match made in heaven. Her chic Harris Wharf London coat is brand new. Do you like it?

Look closely and you will see that Mary embraced the style of her outfit with a golden chain necklace from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and fine pendants from the same talented designer. The wonderful brown leather handbag is a reuse from Anya Hindmarch.

Queen Margrethe's 85th birthday

16 April 2025

Most of her family were gathered at Fredensborg to celebrate her 85th birthday. No other than Queen Margrethe has turned 85. Congratulations to Her Majesty.

The royal family enjoyed a small concert by the Royal Life Guard's Music Corps trom the stairs of Fredensborg Castle. The birthday was then celebrated with lunch and dinner later that night.

Both King Frederik, Queen Mary, their four children, Count Nikolai, Count Felix, Princess Benedikte and Queen Anne-Marie were present at the birthday gathering.

I really like Mary's outfit but the absolute winner has to be Queen Margrethe in her checkered blazer and matching skirt! I'm a huge fan of the Queen's outfit. She looks amazing. Mary had chosen a summery printed blouse from Zimmerman. Worn on a number of different occasions by now. Love the detail with the buttons and the puffed sleeved. The trousers are also a reuse from Max Mara. Make her look suuuuper tall.

Took quite a few photos to tell how she accessorized her outfit. I see stunning white pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a smashing bracelet from the same talented designer. We also get a glimpse of her beloved diamond bangle from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I am very interested in what you know about the diamond ring. Looks like three rings but I think it is only a single one.

The couple arrived at the Paris-Orly Airport and were then welcomed by the France Presidential Couple at the Court d'Honneur at Hôtel National des Invalide - also known as Les Invalides.

They were escorted from Les Invalides to the Élysée Pakace for the official welcoming ceremony. The Danish business delegation accompanied the King and Queen.

NO outfit will ever surpass this outfit! Nothing. I have many favorite outfits but her outfit at the arrival in Paris earlier today will surpass all of them. Probably also in the future. Mary's new Christian Dior set is marvelous! The style of it is so 1950's. I adore it.

It dosen't end with that because Mary perfectly matched the style with a reused black Jane Taylor hat and smashing sky-high Gianvito Rossi pumps. Not quite sure I would have chosen those heels but it looks great. The Mulberry handbag was such a clever move.

I am sure you noticed her choice in jewellery as well. The stunning white pearl earrings and the matching brooch are both pieces part of the Danish Pearl Poiré Parure. The elegant ring is a custom-made creation from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

We are treated like King's and Queen's at this state visit. Mary's shows all the best of her style. 1950's inspired Dior suits and now this! Her beautiful new blouse has been found at CLEA - a brand new designer in her wardrobe. Mary styled it with a smashing floral silk skirt from Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen. Imagine your design worn at an event like this?! Must be such an honor.

She embraced the outfit with huge golden diamond earrings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen designed by Charlotte Lynggaard - daughter of Lynggaard's founder, Ole Lynggaard. The blue Aquamarine ring goes way back in time but has never been identified. Maybe from an auction?

Her amazing pearl embroidered clutch is from Anya Hindmarch and the fine beige satin pumps are from Gianvito Rossi.

Day 1. Official state visit to Finland

04 March 2025

By invitation King Frederik and Queen Mary are visiting Finland as an official state visit. The invitation was from Finland's President Alexander Stubb and his spouse Suzanne Innes-Stubb.

The royal couple were officially welcomed with a ceremony followed by a reception at the Presidential palace in Helsinki.

During the day King Frederik participated in a delegation discussion in the Dining Hall and attended a sining ceremony in Hall of Mirrors accompanied by the Finnish President. Meanwhile Mrs. Suzanne Innes-Stubb joined Queen Mary for a visit at the Helsinki New Children's Hospital.

Together they enjoyed lunch, visited the Parliament of Finland, met with the Prime Minister, visited the Merikaha civil defence shelter and honored Danish volunteers who fell during the Winter War in 1939-1940 at the Hietaniemi Cemetery.

Mary wore such a lovely outfit today! Adorable combination of colors. The light grey midi-length skirt and that reused Prada blouse. Such as stunning color-combo. Love how Mary is always able to style grey clothes and accessories. I have not been able to identify the skirt. The elegant Max Mara coat is brand new. Do you like it? Think the silhouette is really pretty.

Mary accessorized the outfit with a fine reused Jane Taylor headpiece and a matching suede clutch. Think it could be new. Reminds me of some other ones in her collection but I am not sure we have seen this before.

She looked so beautiful wearing a rather large golden brooch featuring Amethyst stones and diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I would love to get a closer look at her earrings. The knee-high heeled boots are old ones from Gianvito Rossi. The same designer as her new black boots worn later today at the Hietaniemi Cemetery.

State banquet

President Alexander Stubb and Mrs. Suzanne Innes-Stubb hosted a spectacular state banquet in the evening in honor of the King and Queen visiting Finland.

The banquet took place at Presidential Palace in the State Hall. Both King Frederik and President Alexander Stubb gave speeches during the dinner.

Seems like they all had a wonderful times. They were all smiles and sincere happy faces. What an evening!

On occasion of the state visit King Frederik handed over the Order of the Elephant to President Alexander Stubb. Mrs. Suzanne Innes-Stubb was given the Grand Cross of the Order of Dannebrog. King Frederik was honored with the chain of the Order of the White Rose of Finland. He was awarded the Grand Cross in 1994.

I could speak for hours about Mary's evening outfit. She looked absolutely smashing in her Jesper Høvring gown. Mary first wore the gown at the New Year's Banquet in 2019. Loved it then; love it even more now because of the newly added golden belt. Stunning detail!

Her gown really deserve as much attention as the rest of the outfit but I know her choice of jewellery won everybody's attention. I get it. Since Mary became Queen of Denmark last year she has been digging in the royal jewellery box. She has already worn pieces the world haven't seen for many years. Decades.

At the state banquet Mary had chosen to wear a golden tiara that once belonged to Queen Caroline Amalie. It was crafted around 1820. It has not been worn in over 140 years.

She embraced the style with matching earrings and a brooch from Countess Danner. They are part of a parure which comes with a necklace and a couple of bracelets. Julius Diderichen is the master behind Countess Danner's parure.

The huge bracelet is from Princess Vilhelmine Marie. His spouse King Frederik VII gifted her the bracelet around 1828. The bracelet is usually stores at Rosenborg in Copenhagen. Queen Caroline Amalie's tiara will also be seen at Rosenborg after the couple return home from Finland.

Happy 53rd birthday!

05 February 2025

Congratulations to Queen Mary on behalf of her 53rd birthday! Her birthday was celebrated with a new photo taken by photographer Steen Evald at Amalienborg.

What a beautiful match. Laces and a minimalistic blouse. The stunning soft pink lace skirt is a brand new Valentino Garavani design. I predict it will be a new favorite of hers. Goes perfect for day and night events. Her fine blouse is a reuse from Mark Kenly Domino Tan. She first wore it in an exclusive interview in EUROWOMAN on occasion of her 50th birthday in 2022.

Mary embraced the gorgeous outfit with elegant earrings, golden bangles and a stack of rings. The earrings are adjustable in two different lengths. A couple of rings are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Could she be wearing soft pink pumps as well? - what do you think?
