Sunset over Uluṟu

The royal couple started their day by visiting Muṯitjulu Waterhole in Uluṟu to watch the beautiful sunset. A personal guide shared the experience with King Frederik and Queen Mary while sharing informations and stories from the area.

In the morning hours the couple looked liked any other tourists admiring the sunset. The King flashed an army printed hat, hiking boots and a back pack with (supposedly) supplies for the walk. His wife matched his style with perfection: a messy knot in a cap, linen shorts and practical walking boots.

Arriving in Canberra

King Frederik and Queen Mary then arrived in Canberra. They were warmly welcomed at the Government House by Sam Mostyn, the Governor-General of Australia and spouse Simeon Beckett. As part of the welcoming, the couple participated a traditional some ceremony.

I was in love with the couple when they visited the Muṯitjulu Waterhole in Uluṟu. They blended in like it was the most easy thing in the world - if it wasn't for the many photographers and journalists...

When arriving in Canberra, Mary had changed to one of her stunning floral printed dressed in Zimmermann. It is not my favorite dress though I adore the bright color! Because of the smashing color and I think it is great that she chose rather neutral Gianvito Rossi pumps.

Like the woman performing the smoke ceremony, Mary was too beautifully bejewelled wearing jewellery from both Rebekka Notkin, Orit Elhanati, Dulong Fine Jewelry and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Some of the finest jewellery designers were have in Denmark.

Official welcoming ceremony in Canberra

King Frederik and Queen Mary were also welcomed in Canberra with at an official ceremony at the Government House. The gathering were hosted by the Governor-General of Australia Sam Mostyn and her spouse Simeon Beckett.

A second welcoming ment a second (or third) outfit suited for the occasion. Mary had chosen a brand new floral printed set from Claes Iversen. It's a couture design from 2016 which tells us that fashion never goes out of style.

The weather was wonderful. Warm and sunny. Mary's color-palette was really well-chosen. The dusty blue head piece matched both the reused LIN8 clutch and the blue sky. Her summery look was topped of with beige pointed leather from Prada.

Gala dinner at the Government House

It has already been a fantastic day. We are so spoiled. Just look at all those incredible outfits. Can it get any better? Apparently, yes. 

In the evening, the Governor-General of Australia Sam Mostyn and spouse Simeon Beckett hosted a gala dinner at the Government House in honor of the King and Queen's visit. Both King Frederik and Sam Mostyn gave a speech at the dinner.

Mary truly looked like a star on a starry night. Her amazing evening gown is a reused and altered Jesper Høvring creation. It goes back to the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling in 2010. I am truly a fan of the original design but I the added golden top/sleeve. Makes it even more glamorous.

Like it wasn't enough: she wore stunning jewellery from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and a fine bracelet that once belonged to Crown Princess Lovisa.

Opening of the Parliament 2024

Princess Benedikte accompanied King Frederik and Queen Mary at the annual opening of the Parliament. The three of them were warmly welcomed by Parliament's presidum and of course Søren Gade - Chairman of the Parliament.

The annual opening ceremony at Christiansborg Castle in Copenhagen marks the begning of a new year for the Danish politicians and the Parliament. The opening always takes place on the first Tuesday in October.

King Frederik, Queen Mary and Princess Benedikte watched the official opening from the royal balcony in the great Parliament Hall. Amongst speakers was Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen.

Love that both Mary and Benedikte had the same though about wearing soft blue at the opening. Mary was dressed in a lovely reused coat tailored by Cleas Iversen along with a creamy white lace dress. Do you remember she also wore the coat at the opening in 2022? I think it could be an old Heartmade dress but I can't tell for sure.

Mary had chosen beige suede accessories: a beloved BOSS clutch, beautiful (new?) matching gloves and stunning pointed pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Kinda like this color-combo. Blue and beige. Very elegant. Looks like she added a splash of soft purple on her nails. I like that too.

What is an outfit without jewellery? Not much. Mary wore her amazing Halberstadt necklace with an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond ring. Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen is also the creator of her SMASHING golden leaf brooch. What a masterpiece!

The Royal Danish Music Conservatory's Children's Choirs Christmas concert

Now and then, the Crown Prince Couple are accompanied by their children for official events. This is exactly what happened, when Crown Princess Mary attended the Royal Danish Music Conservatory's Children's Choirs Christmas Concert on December 3rd. She was accompanied by Prince Christian. 

The concert has become an annual event and Crown Princess Mary has attended this wonderful afternoon for many years. When the children were younger, the whole family joined her for the Christmas concert.

Crown Princess Mary is patron for the children's choir.

Prince Christian and his mother truly enjoyed the afternoon together with many of the well-known Christmas songs beautifully performed by the choir.

The concert took place at the Royal Music Conservatory's Concert Hall at Frederiksberg.

Opening of the Parliament 2022

The first Tuesday of October, the politicians are back a work after their vacation. This is the day to welcome back the Parliament and Danish Government. The day to celebrate a new year with politics.

Of course the royal family were invited to guest the opening. First, Princess Benedikte arrived. The Crown Prince Couple followed her and then (usually) Prince Joachim and Princess Marie arrives, but they were not attending this year. Queen Margrethe arrived last.

From the royal balcony in Folketingssalen (the grand hall inside Christiansborg), the four royal family members watched the official opening. Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen held the opening speech.

Because Mary's outfit reminded me so much of a previous event, I did not see that it was this years opening of the Parliament. I realized that later on. An outfit like this is an all timer winner. It work every single time. She wore her magnificent bespoke Claes Iversen coat with a soft white lace dress underneath. The dress is also a reuse (here). A wonderful match to the suede pointed Gianvito Rossi pumps. They are almost the exact same color.

Choosing purple accessories is so clever of her. Mary really nailed it with that purple Carlend Copenhagen clutch and Jane Taylor hat. The clutch was also a winner in 2015, when the King and Queen of the Netherlands visited Denmark (here) and in 2018, when the couple visited Italy (here). She even matched it with purple gloves. She looks outstanding. 

We also get a glimpse of some pieces of jewellery. Her diamond earrings with the yellow center stones are still a mystery to me, but her two necklaces are from the talented Danish jewellery designer Dulong Fine Jewelry. A brand Mary has loved even before she became Crown Princess - and ever since.

"Mary 50 years - we celebrate Denmark's Crown Princess"

Last but not least, Crown Princess Mary was celebrated with a tv-show called "Mary 50 years - we celebrate Denmark's Crown Princess" by TV2 on Sunday evening. She was accompanied by her husband and all four children. It was lovely to see the whole family together. But of course, we all want to celebrate her - including family and friends.

The showed gathered people, music, video clips, etc from her time as Crown Princess. From her 20 years in Denmark. The show included a little surprise, because her four children had been interviewed about their mother (here). They shared glimpses of how their mother is, how dedicated she is and the fact that her accent is sometimes a bit troubled. Apparently, the Crown Princess thinks she speaks perfectly even though her children try to teach their mother.

Crown Princess Mary was truly honoured and very emotional - we get it right?

Mary looked absolutely great in a black and red outfit. That red colour is simply wonderful on her. The blouse and matching skirt are custom-made by Danish designer Claes Iversen. Its details are exquisite! At the arrival, she wore her beloved black Prada coat. The curls made the outfit complete. Even without any other accessorized, the hair and clothes would do to me.

The golden diamond ring is created by the talented designer Rebekka Notkin. She is also the master behind the rather large golden bangle. A stunning combo. Looked great with the diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and her Cartier bracelet.

I do not quite get it: Mary had chosen dark red suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi. But the colour is a bit off. She has bright red pumps that would match the outfit much better, but instead she wore these darker coloured pumps. Do you get it? But I really like the patent leather clutch from Sergio Rossi with the rest of the look.

Opening of "Mary og Kronprinsesserne" at Koldinghus

It was truly a day many of us had been waiting for, when Crown Princess Mary and Crown Prince Frederik arrived to Koldinghus in Kolding to attend the official opening of "Mary og Kronprinsesserne". A brand new exhibition about her life and the former Crown Princesses of Denmark. The exhibition takes place on occasion of her 50th birthday.

I had the pleasure to witness their arrival myself. Over ten years ago, I saw the couple for the first time. My second time was just as wonderful. The couple is indeed lovely!

As part of the official opening, Cabinet Secretary and Director of the Royal Collection Henning Fode, and Museum Director Thomas Thulstrup, gave each their speech. The Crown Princess gave the opening speech herself. They were all given a guided tour around the exhibition. Part of the exhibition is a small "video" of the Crown Princess (here). Here she mentions that many have had the privilege to call themself 'Crown Princess', but only few have had the privilege as long as her.

Count Ingolf and Countess Sussie of Rosenborg, and Princess Benedikte also attended the opening. Princess Benedikte is patron for Koldinghus.

Mary looked absolutely splendid at the opening in Kolding. She wore her beautiful pink custom-made Claes Iversen coat. We have seen her wear this stunning piece before, but one more time does not hurt - at all! We get a little glimpse of her wearing a powder pink dress or skirt underneath. This is all I can tell. I love when she wears coats as "dresses".

She embraced the style by wearing rosy patent leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi. She must be very pleased with these pumps, because she has worn them many time before. And really, they match almost anything. The magnificent braided Bottega Veneta box clutch is also a beloved pieces of accessory in her wardrobe. It goes way back in time.

Because of her outstanding hairstyle, we get a really get look at her pink and white diamond earrings. These can be adjusted in length. So far, I have not been able to identify them, but I think they could be purchased on auction. Last but not least, Mary wore her golden Cartier bracelet.

"We all have the responsibility to help fight solitude"

We have not seen the Crown Princess that much in the last month. Instead, she and her family have sent a number of Christmas greetings. Several of them, is as chairwoman of the Mary Foundation. Like this ver special Christmas greeting, here. The Crown Princess highlighted a few things from the past year working to fight, among others, solitude as part of the Mary Foundations mission. Especially, young people and how they have been affected by the pandemic, has been close to her heart the last year.

The pandemic was also the main topic of the greeting she shared the day before Christmas Eve. On December 23rd. How COVID-19 have affected many perhaps for the first time and how it may have made some even more isolated. She speaks anxiously about the responsibility she believes we all have to take care of each other. We must all take part in fighting solitude.

Her greeting was recorded at Frederik VIIIs Palace at Amalienborg - the same place, where the family is celebrating Christmas.

Crown Princess Mary also shared a few words as patron of the WHO Regional Office for Europe, here. She found it particularly important to mention the professional dedication that has been shown by frontline health and care workers. She look forward to a new year with even more understanding and improvement of the healthcare system.

To me, she wore the perfect Christmas outfit. Red is mostly associated with Christmas and it fits this time a year perfectly. The bright red blouse is part of a set (blouse and skirt) created by the talented Danish designer, Claes Iversen. He already made many outfits for Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. Mary first wore this set in 2018, when attending a banquet on occasion of the P4G Summit, here. A year later, she wore the blouse and matching skirt at a concert and following dinner at Fredenborg, here. Queen Margrethe hosted the event to honor those who make an effort for the community between the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Denmark.

This time, Mary embraced the style by wearing her pink diamonds studs from Hartmann's and a couple of golden bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry. It looks to me like she also wore her golden bangle from Cartier. An amazing combination of jewellery. A close look revealed to me that her diamond rings are from, among others, Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The third ring has never been identified. It goes back to around her birthday in 2012. Maybe a birthday gift from her beloved husband?

The stunning diamond butterfly, is the Mary Foundations symbol. Many years ago she started wearing these broches and then a few years back it turned into a diamond brooch. This one. Maybe also a gift? Mary completed her Christmas outfit with a beautiful makeup and lovely curls.

Concert and dinner at Fredensborg

It had already been a long day for the Crown Princess because she attended a conference with the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights also known as SRSR, here. As patron of the UNFPA she entered the stage and gave a 10 minutes speech. The speech has already made a mark in most articles reporting about the conference.

In the evening she then appear arriving to Fredensborg Castle accompanied by her husband, Crown Prince Frederik. Their attendance came as a surprise to me because I had not been paying close enough attention to her calendar.

Queen Margrethe hosted both the concert and following dinner at Fredensborg. The evening was all about honoring those who make an effort for the community between the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Denmark. On that occasion representatives from the national community were invited to spend the evening with Queen Margrethe and the Crown Prince Couple.

Mary looked stunning wearing her bright red two-piece made by talented Claes Iversen. She first wore it about a year ago at banquet at Christansborg Palace on occasion of the P4G Summit taking place in Copenhagen. At that time the designer shared that Mary was wearing a wine red double layered silk blouse and skirt which is why we know for sure it is not a dress as first assumed. The skirt and blouse are embroidered with small glittering rhinestones. Love when she is wearing this bright red color. Looks just great next to her hair skin and dark brown hair.

She is known to match her outfit in both color, fabrics and silhouette. So did she at the concert at Fredensborg. The bright and shiny Carlend Copenhagen clutch was a perfect match to red two-piece. The colors matched also exactly. I have a Carlend Copenhagen clutch myself in pink and it is simply a wonderful clutch. I get why Mary has more than one in several colors. Also the earrings, ruby bracelet and matching ring worn at the concert were well-chosen. All part of the ruby parure belonging to late Queen Ingrid - Queen Margrethe's mother.

Other than the eye-catching earrings Mary wore her stunning golden bangles from Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry. For sure you also noticed her smashing glitter pumps. Actually she has been wearing glitter pumps at lot lately. To me it looks like she had chosen a pair of old leopard glitter pumps, which are one of her oldest Gianvito Rossi pumps.

Opening of the Parliament 2019

As an annual tradition, the royal family were gathered at Christiansborg Castle to attend the opening of the Danish Parliament. Princess Benedikte arrived first followed by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary. Last, Queen Margrethe arrived and were welcomed with smiles, handshakes and flowers (of course). Usually, Prince Joachim and his wife Princess Marie also participate but as you know they have moved to France and were not able to be part of the opening.

The first Tuesday of October the Parliament officially comes back from vacation. It is marked with the gathering of the Parliament and Government present. And of course with the Royal family attending. This year was a bit special because Denmarks newly selected Prime Minister, Mette Frederiksen held her very first speech in Folketinget.

Both Princess Benedikte, the Crown Prince Couple and Queen Margrethe watched the opening from the balcony. It is located right of the rostrum.

These annual events are personal favorites of mine. I love comparing outfit; one from each year. That is why I, primarily, look forward to the opening - to see and compare Mary's outfit with previous years. I am rarely disappointed with how she looks. Nor was I this year. Mary was beautifully dressed in one of her reused coats and matching accessories. The stunning dusty pink coat is a design by Claes Iversen. She first wore it in 2018 on an official visit to Latvia, here. Back then you were all crazy in love with the coat. I still am.

As in 2018 she accessorized the coat with a splendid matching creation from Susanne Juul. Love how the two pieces match in both color and style. Really vintage chic. Mary also dazzled with her other accessories. Especially the burgundy Sergio Rossi box clutch and those incredible suedes pointed pumps from Gianvito Rossi. One day I have to own my own pair of Rossi pumps. They have what I would call "the perfect shape". Everything about Rossi's shoes are cared for. So one day...

The diamond ring and beautiful bracelet are both created by Dulong Fine Jewelry. Also her makeup looked absolutely perfect, such as her hairstyle. I adore when she have these updos. Makes me wanna experiment. These chignon's or twisted knots comes in many different forms. This is a more simple one. Great for everyday as well as evenings. Do you have a favorite updo?

Day 1. Official visit to Latvia

Thursday, December 6th

-During the day-
Quite a while it was announced that the Crown Prince couple were to visit Latvia on December 6th to 7th. That's now. The visit is all about celebrating Latvia declaring their independence a 100 years ago. Denmark is part of that celebration, which is also why Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were invited to visit Latvia. They were invited by Latvia's President, Raimonds Vējonis, whom they were also welcomed by at the arrival. The royal couple are accompanied by the Danish Minister of Culture, Mette Bock.

Other than the 100 years anniversary of Latvia being an independant state; the visit also focus on design, art and history. They couple will attend several events on that occasion during the two days in Riga, Latvia.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary arrived early morning in Riga where they were warmly welcomed by the Presidential couple. Hundreds of people had showed up to get a glimpse of the royal couple arriving from Denmark. Afterwards, they were officially welcomed at a ceremony at Riga Castle. The couple payed a visit to the Freedom Monument in Riga and played a wreath in honor of those who died during a battle of making Latvia an independent state. It was revealed than 80 years ago.

Chairman of the Latvian parliament, Ināra Mūrniece hosted an official lunch for the Danish royal couple before it was time for the couple to have a few hours on their own.

No doubt that Mary arrived with style. She was dressed in pink from head to toe. Literally. Everything matched with perfection. Pink it no an easy colour to match with other pink pieces. But Mary managed that. She looked wonderful in a brand new bubblegum pink coat featuring a matching belt and rhinestones. The stunning creation has been identified by the designer as Claes Iversen, here. She could also be wearing a grey skirt from Dolce & Gabbana, first worn at the opening of the Parliament in 2015, here.

As first mentioned; also the accessories matched in colour. Mary has chosen to wear a brand new pink hat has well. It has been confirmed that Susanne Juul created her new hat. What a piece, right? It is very similar in style as this, here. Wish more women would wear hats - including myself... She also embraced the style with pink gloves, her old Bottega Veneta knot clutch and Gianvito Rossi pumps.

It is indeed pink. Maybe a little too pink for me, though she wear it with great elegance. Same goes with the jewellery - pure elegance. I see earrings, a ring and a golden bracelet from Danish Dulong Fine Jewelry. Pretty sure she could be wearing the golden Cartier bangle as well, but so far I have no pictures to prove it. Just a hunch.

I am overwhelmed to see her in such a bright colour this time a year. But it makes me proud to have her as Crown Princess, when she do such a great impression worldwide with what she wears.

-Dinner at Riga Castle-
After a few hours on their own the Crown Prince couple attended a reception in the concert house called Great Guild, which had been arranged by the Danish Embassy in Latvia, DCCL and the Danish Cultural Institute. About an hour later Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary watched a concert at the Great Guild, played by Concerto Copenhagen. What a remarkable name for an orchestra. The Presidential couple from Latvia also attended the concert along with the Danish Crown Prince couple.

All four of them meet afterwards at the official dinner taking place at Riga Castle. The Presidential couple hosted the dinner with Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary as guests of honor. The Crown Prince gave a speech as part of the official welcoming dinner.

Well, well, well. Mary in trousers at a dinner. That does not happen very often. At the moment I can not remember that we have ever seen that. At first glance I thought it was Queen Letizia of Spain that showed up on my screen. In fact it was my own Crown Princess. The whole look reminds me so much of something the Spanish Queen would wear. Nevertheless, it was Mary.

She embraced the style by wearing a brand new brocade blazer featuring a velvet collar. It is told to be made by talented Danish designer Jesper Høvring (collection: H by Jesper Høvring), who has created many of Mary's great evening gowns, here. This time it was a blazer. She wore her new bronze/golden blazer with fitted velvet trousers and a white blouse underneath. Heaven mentioned that the trousers could be from the same designers as the blazer. Tell me what you think about that.

No evening outfit without a little glitter. That is probably why Mary wore her black glitter pumps from Pura Lopez. We have seen then before, when she attended the presentation of the Danish Rainbow Award - AXGIL, here. I am sure you notified her diamond earrings as well. Somehow I think we have seen them before 10 years ago, when she attended the official opening of Skuespilhuset in Copenhagen, here. Day 1. P4G Summit - banquet at Christiansborg Castle

To celebrate the very first P4G Summit taking place in Copenhagen from October 19-20th Queen Margrete hosted a banquet at Christiansborg Castle last night. The P4G Summit aim to fulfill the United Nation's World Goal and Climate Objectives of the Paris Agreement. This is why representatives from 47 countries around the globe were gathered in Copenhagen last night, when Queen Margrete hosted the banquet.

The Crown Prince couple also attended the dinner along with among others the Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, CEO of DI Karsten Dybvad, Danish politician Morten Østergaard and Ulla Tørnæs and Vietnam's Prime Minister H.E. Nguyen Xuan Phuc, etc.

Queen Margrethe welcomed everybody with a remarkable speech. Seems like it was a wonderful evening and great way to end the summit's first day.

On October 20th the Crown Prince Couple will also attend the P4G Award Ceremony taking place in DR Concert Hall in Copenhagen. Crown Princess Mary will even present the 'P4G Partnership Award' and give a speech on the same occasion.

Attending the banquet at Christiansborg Castle Mary dazzled in a bright red dress. I really had a hard time trying to identify who made this new piece. Somehow I was sure Mary was wearing a two-piece and she is. Heaven managed to get a confirmation from Claes Iversen, here. Oh.. notice the fact that both neckline and hemline of her new piece are embroidered with matching pearls. Wonderful detail. And that puffy sleves. I am kinda crazy about this look - especially the colour.

Mary embraced the chic and polished evening outfit by wearing a pair of burgundy suede pumps from one of her favourite shoe designers: Gianvito Rossi. We have had the pleasure to see these pumps at several occasions, here, here, here. Any favourite outfit? I really like the pumps worn with this new red piece. She also wore her bright red clutch from Sergio Rossi.

I tend to say "of course" she matched her look with berry red lips. Has her haircolour changed? Think it looks like her colour is way more black than I remembered. Am I the only one with this thought?

She also amazed the guests with a few diamond jewellery. The lack of pictures makes it hard for me to tell anything for sure. So I will leave it up to you, till I find anything to support my suggestions.

Opening of the Danish Parliament 2017

Each year on the first Tuesday in October, the Danish parliament are gathered to celebrate the beginning of new year for the Parliament. The traditions goes way back, such as the fact that members of the Danish royal family attend the opening -because that is what it is; the opening of the Danish Parliament. As usual the opening took place at Christiansborg castle in Copenhagen. Members of the Parliament arrived one by one followed by six royal family members. First Princess Benedikte, the Queen's sister, then Prince Joachim and his wife Princess Marie who were followed by the Crown Prince couple and last the Queen herself arrived shortly before noon. Both Princess Benedikte, Princess Marie, Crown Princess Mary and Queen Margrethe were welcomed with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Inside the Parliament hall the Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen was about to give the annual speech. The royal family members watched it all from their balcony to the right of the Prime Minister.

I tend to say 'of course' did Mary wear something spectacular at the opening of the Parliament. I rarely get disappointed of what she is wearing at the opening -some outfit's I like better than others, but else... At this years event she was dressed in her reused Claes Iversen coat featuring the most incredible details. Just look at the fabric and the way it beautifully opens and closes because of the design. I have heard several different opinions about the colour. To me it is differently blue. What colour do you see? As I mentioned, Mary has worn the coat on one other occasion before the opening on Tuesday. It was in March 2017 when the Belgium King Philippe and his wife Queen Mathilde visited Denmark on an official state visit with Queen Margrethe as hostess, here. Beautifully she matched her dreamy coat with purple accessories from both Jane Taylor (hat), Carlend Copenhagen (clutch) and suede gloves. We even got to see that stunning brooch again as worn last year on occasions of King Carl Gustaf's 70th birthday, here. Do you remember it? She probably has worn it more than once, such as with the Orit Elhanati necklace, Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelet and nude pointed Prada pumps. Even her red nail polish matched her bouquet.

I would also like to make a short comment on what her sister-in-law wore during the annual opening. Princess Marie's outfit remind me so much of what Mary wore last year, here. Thought I know Marie  wore a coat and Mary a skirt and peplum. Still, I see resemblance in the two outfits. Maybe the colour combo? Or perhaps the hat?

Day 1. State visit from Belgium

Queen Margrethe hosts a state visit from Belgium's King Philippe and Queen Mathilde, who stay at Denmark from March 28-30th. 

Program: Copenhagen

• 10:00 am. Queen Margrethe, the Crown Prince couple, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie welcomed the King and Queen at Copenhagen airport.
• 11:00 am. King Philippe and Queen Mathilde were officially welcomed at Amalienborg by the Queen and Crown Prince couple. 
• 1:50 pm. The King and Queen of Belgium met with the Danish Prime Minster.
• 2:40 pm. King Philippe and Queen Mathilde met with the Parliamentary Chairman
• 3:20 pm. The Crown Prince couple attended a boat trip in Copenhagen harbor along with the King and Queen.
• 4:00 pm. King Philippe and Queen Mathilde met with nonresident Belgians at Hotel Marriott. 
• 8:00 pm. Gala dinner at Christiansborg castle.

What we have all been waiting for; for the belgian King Philippe and Queen Mathilde to arrive to Copenhagen on occasion of an official state visit. The King and Queen will stay in Denmark from March 28-30th, staying at Amalienborg. Queen Margrethe, the Crown Prince couple, Prince Joachim and his wife Princess Marie were the ones welcoming the belgian King and Queen when they arrived by plain. You can watch the arrival in the video down below. The official welcoming ceremony took place an hour later at Amalienborg, Copenhagen. The visit aims to, among others, strengthen the bond between Belgium and Denmark which is also why the Belgium King and Queen are accompanied by seven ministers and a business delegation including 37 different belgian companies. On their first day in Denmark, King Philippe and his beautiful wife Queen Mathilde also met with the Danish Prime Minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen and wife the Parliamentary Chairman Pia Kjærsgaard. These two meeting's was followed by a boat trip in Copenhagen harbor along with the Crown Prince couple -and that was just a lovely sight!

Magnificent Mary! Before talking more about the Crown Princess, I really want to make a compliment on the two other women: Queen Mathilde and Danish Princess Marie. Both looked absolutely splendid in each their spring cloured coat. Don't know if Mathilde and Mary talked before the arrival (don't think so) but I'm pretty impressed how well their clothes matched both when it comes to colour and shape. No doubt that we have some really well-dressed royal women in the world and three of them where gathered at once. From Lurdes I learned who created Mary's new coat; Claes Iversen did. Please, do me a favor and take a second looking at all the wonderful details. They are incredible! Especially how it closes at front. A really, really beautiful new coat. But the coat is not the only new thing we got to see, because she also wore a new Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen brooch and grey (or beige) hat from Jane Taylor. Love how she matched everything with nude accessories -gloves, clutch (Hugo Boss) and pumps which are form Gianvito Rossi. As the new brooch, her diamond earrings are from  Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. What else to say than "magnificent Mary"?

After a long day, it all ended with one big gala dinner taking place at Christiansborg Palace, Copenhagen, where Queen Margrethe hosted the dinner. The arrival to Christiansborg, as well as when Queen Margrethe and King Philippe each gave a speech, was broadcasted live on Danish television. Unfortunately, I had to spend time with something else and I missed it all. I'm sure you are able to find it, or at least some of it, online. Sure it was a great entry as always. From what I have seen, it differently was! A wonderful menu was served for the many special invited guests who attended the spectacular gala dinner where several royal family members also attended. From the Danish royal family we have: Queen Margrethe, Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie and Princess Benedikte. And of course King Philippe and Queen Mathilde from Belgium.

Early in the morning we were introduced to three wonderful outfit when Mary and Marie, along with their husband's and Queen Margrethe, attended the welcoming ceremony when the King and Queen of Belgium arrived to Denmark. At the evening event we saw even more magnificent outfit. Gala dinner means floor-length gowns and the finest jewellery -and that is what we got to see. Queen Mathilde was in a really beautiful (and brave) orange lace gown and Queen Margrethe in a turquoise lace gown. Meanwhile, Mary and Princess Marie were both dressed in golden evening gowns! The Crown Princess wore her golden dream made by Jesper Høvring, previously worn at the grand New Year banquet this year, here. Simply can't get enough of that dress. This time she has chosen to wear the stunning rudy parure from Queen Ingrid. She wore wore tiara, necklace, bracelet and that ring she later on have added to the parure. On the other arm, we have her golden Cartier bracelet. Well, I don't know what you have to say but I am impressed and a happy royalist!
