Day 6.

Official visit to Greenland

04 July 2024

A day in Nuuk

The royal family has already spend five days in Greenland and now the four of them have arrived in Nuuk. They were warmly welcomed when arriving with Dannebrog. The official welcoming was at the City Hall. Later, followed a guided tour at Nuuk's new school Atuarfik Inussuk.

Before visiting Nuuk's new airport, King Frederik and Queen Mary attended lunch with Naalakkersuisut - the Greenlandic Government and the Presidency of Inatsisartut.

Once again, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine accompanied their parents.

Mary looked so elegant in her Greenlandic national costume. The colors are so vivid. I adore the combination of materials and colors. The fact that it is handmade makes it even more impressive. Mary was gifted the costume on her first official visit in Greenland in 2004.

On occasion of her 50th birthday, her costume was exhibited at Koldinghus in Kolding as part of the exhibition 'Mary and the Crown Princesses'. I visited the exhibition and the costume is even more beautiful in reality. Did you know that the costume also comes with a clutch and a matching brooch to the earrings?

She also wore the matching handbag, shoes and fine earrings. Such as a diamond ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

Nuuk's new airport

After a quick change of clothes, the four of them visited Nuuk's new airport. They were given a guided tour around the facilities. Maybe one day, they will land an airplane in the new airport?

King Frederik and Queen Mary also visited a workshop. The craftsmen are currently working on a memorial stone in honor of polar explorer Arnarulunnguaq. She was the only female polar explorer participating the world-famous fifth Thule expedition in 1921-1924.

I have absolutely nothing bag to say about her daytime outfit. Love every single part of it. The color-combo is splendid. That soft pink Hugo Boss silk satin blouse, elegant grey JOSEPH trousers and a matching suede Ralph Lauren belt.

How often have you worn pink and grey? 10 points goes to Mary for this combo. She embraced the chic style by wearing a black midi wool-blend coat.

Mary had chosen the handbag matching her Greenlandic national costume. I LOVE THAT! What a gesture. The Rosequartz earrings are custom-made by Dulong Fine Jewelry. She has worn them on a number of occasions. My archive counts 58 events. Like in 2011, when the couple left Rigshospitalet with their newborn twins. Or presenting the 'Government's Integration Prize' in 2009.

The grey suede ankle boots are reused from Prada.

Official dinner at Katuaq

In the evening, King Frederik and Queen Mary attended Naalakkersuisut's official dinner at the Culture House Katuaq in Nuuk. The royal couple were invited as guests of honor.

The Chairman of Naalakkersuisut (the Greenlandic Government) Múte Bourup Egede welcomed the couple when they arrived to Katuaq.

King Frederik gave a speech at the evenings dinner:

"It is possible to fall in love with a people and a country?" - It is. I can confirm that. Greenland has a ver special meaning to my family and I. Queen Mary and I are therefor pleased to be here along with Prince Vincent Minik and Princess Josephine Ivalo."

Minik and Ivalo are the sibling's Greenlandic names.

Now we are talking. I am rarely disappointed with Mary's evening outfits but this one is simply exquisite! I learned from Royal Fashion Police that she wore a brand new Teri Jon by Rickie Freeman evening dress. The dress has been altered a bit. It got a smaller collar and a waist-band instead of a ribbon.

Do you like the alterations? - I am a huge fan.

Her stunning earrings and matching pendants are smashing creations by talented Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Mary wore the earrings in 2022 when attending an official dinner on occasion of King Willlem-Alexander and Queen Maxima's visit in Denmark. We also get a glimpse of a reused diamond bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

The fine snakeskin box clutch is a Judith Leiber design - one of Mary's absolute favorite evening clutches and (of course) her magnificent golden leather pumps from Manolo Blahnik.

Mary looked absolutely splendid in her Collette Dinnigan dress. Isn't she gorgeous? She first wore this incredible dress at the wedding of Princess Madeleine and Chris O'Neil in 2013 (here). Since then, we haven't seen it - until now. Mary had the dress altered from a floor-length gown to a midi-dress. Do you like the alteration as much as I do?

She had me with the dress, but those pieces of accessories chosen for the event were outstanding and they truly caught my attention. Look at those Malone Souliers heels. Apparently, they come in various designs. In my opinion, Mary chose the good-looking design. The were identified by UFO No More, who also managed to find her new handbag at Decadent Copenhagen. She carried the bag with her in the car. We got at glimpse of it, when she arrived to Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek.

Her stunning diamond-studded earrings are masterpieces by Dulong Fine Jewelry, who also crafted one of her diamond rings - and one of the golden bangles of her right wrist. Mary was also wearing some other bracelets. They are from Rebekka Notkin and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Rebekka Notkin is also the creator of her stunning golden ring.

The beautiful snakeskin clutch is from Judith Leiber.

Prince Joachim's 50th birthday

07 June

Last year, Crown Prince Frederik celebrated his 50th birthday. This year his younger brother Prince Joachim celebrates his. On that occasion new photos have been published, he has been interviewed in several papers and guests from near and far were invited to celebrate him on June 7th.

Queen Margrethe hosted the celebration dinner taking place at Amalienborg Castle on Friday. Both friends and family were invited to attend the dinner. Among others, Prince Nikolaos and his wife Princess Tatiana showed up, such as Princess Alexandra and Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille. Also Countess Alexandra attended to celebrate Prince Joachim.

From closer family did the Crown Prince Couple attend accompanied by all four children - Prince Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine. All of them were in a great mood, just as the birthday-boy himself. He arrived with wife Princess Marie and his four children - Prince Nikolai, Prince Felix, Prince Henrik and Princess Athena.

Crown Prince Frederik looked handsome in a classy suit and butterfly. Both his boys perfectly matched their father in similar suits. Princess Isabella looked wonderful in a power pink laser cut dress from Ganni (similar to this, here). She also wore a really beautiful brooch. It turns out to be one first worn by her great-grandmother, Queen Alexandrine, here. Princess Josephine's blue lace dress made by Elsa Adams (here), really made her a true princess.

Meanwhile, Mary showed up in a reused Jesper Høvring creation. This beautiful floor-length was first worn at Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel's big wedding in 2010, here. Back then it looked a bit different. Already a year later she had it altered into the gown we see today. I absolutely loved the dress in 2010, but the changing didn't make it worse. Since Mary last wore the gown in 2011 in Australia, here, I have wished to see her wear this stunning creation again.

She embraced the style by wearing incredible Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen earrings. All diamonds and stones in shades of green. That rather large golden bracelet on her right wrist is an old Børge Niels Knudsen piece. She first wore the bracelet when attending the Designers' Nest Show & Award in 02015, here. The little box clutch is from Judith Leiber and the golden pumps are Manolo Blahnik. A magnificent evening outfit.

Day 3. Official visit to South Korea

22 May

During the day

Two days ago, the Crown Prince Couple arrived to Seoul in South Korea. For three days they have attended an official state visit with a business delegation. The visit focuses on Danish technology and quality products. In addition, the couple are also part of the 60th anniversary celebration of diplomatic relations between Denmark and South Korea.

On the third day in Seoul, Crown Princess Mary first visited Seoul National University Hospital. She was introduced to The Seoul Sunflower Centre - a project that works to create a safe environment for children in need. She then visited Jongno Children's Theater. The Danish theater group MishMash  made a performance about the Cultural Year 2019 between Denmark and South Korea called 'The Nose'.

After a business lunch with prominent Korean women, Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of a Fritz Hansen Showroom. It is the first flagship store in Seoul with focus on the famous Danish designer Poul Kjærholm. A few hours later she then attended the opening of another exhibition by Royal Copenhagen at K.O.N.G. Gallery. The Danish porcelain company made a brand new collection on occasion of Royal Copenhagen Korea's 25th anniversary. The collection is Flora Danica painted Korean wild flowers.

All day Mary was so comfortable - both in what she was wearing and her spirit. She was one big smile. On the third day in Seoul Mary was dressed in a reused Marc by Marc Jacobs dress. This is the third time we see her in the dress. It is best known from when she wore it in 2012 at the presentation of the Skt. Loye Award, here. Actually the dress was worn first time a year earlier on an official visit to Australia. Unfortunately pictures are hard to find. Its color has often been discused. Personally I still go with red, not orange. But I think it comes in different colors.

As shoes she had chosen a reuse pair of nude pointed pumps from Prada. Somehow I think these look very comfortable to wear. The leather looks really soft. Sometimes I wonder how she is able to wear heeled shoes as much as she does. We rarely see her wear other than pumps on official events. Nevertheless, she matched the shoes with a nude ostrich clutch from Naledi Copenhagen.

The earrings are old as well. Worn on a few other occasions. It has never been confirmed, but they are told to be a design by Dulong Fine Jewelry. That very same designer did in fact make four of her six worn bracelets. The other two is from Cartier and possibly Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, here. A classy and really elegant outfit.

Exhibition

After a long day for both of them, they met at the opening of an Asger Jorn exhibition at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul. It is the first solo exhibition of Asger Jorn ever exhibited in Asia. As patron for the Danish and South Korean Cultural Year of 2019, the Crown Princess entered the stage and gave a speech on occasion of the opening.

A couple of hours later it was time for a dinner. The Crown Prince Couple attended a cultural dinner as part of the Cultural Year 2019 between Denmark and South Korea - a 60 years anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Both of them were in a splendid mood though it had been three really long days. Nevertheless, they smiled and had a wonderful time.

Personally, I think it has bee one amazing state visit. For sure I will keep it in mind for years. I am a little late with news from their trip, but better now than never, right? Thanks for following the couple going to Seoul with me. I wish for many more in the future.

When the couple visited South Korea for the first time in 2012, Mary was wore very colorful clothes. This time she was dressed a bit more in plain colors and silhouettes. Not bad at all. Attending the last events before going back to Denmark Mary showed up in a reused sustainable white dress made by David Andersen, here. It is the forth time she's wearing the dress. Though it's quite simple, it is covered with incredible details. I just realized that it has an open back. That is what good design is alla bout - discovering new details over and over again.

Mary always enjoyed golden jewellery. So did she on this trip. Especially at the opening of the Asger Jorn exhibition and the following dinner. The stunning earrings are from Rebekka Notkin. She first wore them not that long ago. I struggled trying to identify them. A friend of mine immediately recognized them as Rebekka Notkin. I then see one golden bangle from Cartier and four others bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Love that she is wearing all these different bracelets. Makes a great look, don't you think? I also noticed her golden ring as Dulong Fine Jewelry. The clutch is a design by Judith Leiber and the golden pumps are from Manolo Blahnik. A winner outfit.

The Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2018

Saturday, November 24th

Finally it is time for the Crown Prince Couple to hand over 'the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2018'. The show was broadcasted live on Danish television on Sunday evening. This year it took place in Musikkens Hus in Aalborg. 'The Crown Prince Couple's Prizes' has been handed over by the couple since 2004 in collaboration with Bikuben Foundation.

Earlier, the couple visited 'Kunsten' Museum of Modern Art in Aalborg, here. Visiting 'Kunsten' was part of the couples show in the evening.

Every year the Crown Prince Couple help to honor both foundations, organisations, upcoming designers and artists, etc. The prizes are given to organisations, artists, etc. that provides an extraordinary effort in the field of culture and social work in Denmark. Four prizes were handed over during the show: The Crown Prince Couples Social Prize was given to Association of Greenlandic Children. Author Kim Leine received the Crown Prince Couples Culture Prize. The Crown Prince Couples Cultural Stardust Prize went to film director Annika Berg. Fundamentet in Aarhus was given the Crown Prince Couples Social Stardust Prize. Congratulations to all the winners.

And the show was just great. Last year Crown Prince Frederik acted host for a few minutes, here. This year Kåre Quist (host) and Stéphanie Surrugue (hostess) were a little late for the show - intentionally, and the Crown Prince Couple decided to welcomed everyone. A wonderful way for the show to begin. As time goes by, it has finally become their show. Can't wait till next year to see what they come up with. During the show two smaller interviews were shown - first the Crown Princess visiting Association of Greenlandic Children and then Crown Prince Frederik visiting author Kim Leine. You find them embedded below.

At the show Mary showed up at Musikkens Hus in Aalborg wearing a brand new white dress. It features golden dots on the top part of the dress and a belt. In fact I was right about her new dress being from a Danish Designer. Actually bridal designer Maria Fekih created Mary's evening dress. I learned about its identify from Heaven, who managed to find it. Originally it does not come with a belt. To me it makes the dress a bit less bridal.

At the arrival she wore her old white Prada coat. I am not sure it was worn to keep warm because she was wearing it over her shoulders. If it was intended to keep her warm she failed. That white pieces can't really keep anything warm with the weather we have in Denmark at the moment.

Mary embraced her stunning evening look with the most incredible accessories - especially jewellery. The golden earrings with hundreds of diamonds are made by talented Dulong Fine Jewelry. They also created two of the worn bracelets. You find them identified below. I also noticed her golden Cartier bangle. One more piece of jewellery that caught my attention, is that huge ring on her right hand. To me it looks like a square cut yellow stone surrounded by white diamonds. I would really like to get my hands on a closeup picture.

To match the rest of her look, she wearings a Judith Leiber clutch and (of course) golden glitter pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Hairstyle and makeup are also worth yet another stare. Simply gorgeous and outstanding look.

Celebrating Prince Nikolai

Celebrating your 18th birthday is something special, at least if you live in Denmark such as Prince Nikolai does. Prince Joachim and Countess Alexandra's first born child, Prince Nikolai, celebrated this big day along with his family on board the Royal yacht Dannebrog Monday evening. The dinner was hosted by his grandmother Queen Margrethe. Invited were Prince Nikolai's mother, father, stepmother, siblings, aunt, cousins and of course his grandparents. All guests seemed to be in a splendid mood when arriving to Dannebrog in the evening. Especially Prince Joachim and Countess Alexandra showed great pride in what a civilized young man their son has become. Several times during the arriving, we have pictures of Princess Athena hugging her older brother with great love. Absolutely adorable. Also Crown Princess Mary and her four children were in a splendid mood attending the birthday dinner. We even got a smile from Prince Vincent, which we rarely see. Because of a IOC Coordination Commission meeting in South Korea did Crown Prince Frederik not attend his nephews big day. Usually, the royal family arrive by car but this time the Crown Princess and her children walked to their destination. Dannebrog was docked in the harbor right next to their home, Frederik VIIIs palace at Amalienborg. Prince Christians, in his black suit, was the one to carry the present (I assume) for his cousin. We differently need more of these family gatherings -am I right?

Both Prince Christian and Prince Vincent each wore a black suit, white button-downs and butterfly's identified as Ralph Lauren by Royalty Wardrobe, here. Already two handsome young men. Their sisters in full-skirt dresses and matching white coats from ZARA, here, similar to one of Mary's. Princess Josephine's yellow embroidered tulle dress has been identified as H&M, here. I guess that Princess Isabella could be wearing her birthday dress, here, from Morley, here.

Mary herself was dress in one of her good old golden Prada dresses. I am sure I will be able to find pictures of all the events she has worn this dress, but I will try and if one (or two) is missing you let me know, right? The dress goes back to Prada's Fall Winter 2004 collection. Mary has worn the dress in: 2004, 200620092012. This proves that style never outdate. When do you think she wore it better? Any favourite look? I am very thrilled of her latest look and the one in 2006. Even the shoes Mary had chosen to wear are reused golden wonders seen at several previous events -I hardly remember half of them. She embrace the golden outfit by wearing her Cenius & Bach earrings and a Cartier bracelet along with a few other bracelets. I also noticed a rather large ring on her right hand, but I can't seem to find any close-ups to get a closer look. As goes with the arrival, another thing was a... bit different than usual because Mary did not carry her own clutch at the birthday dinner -her oldest daughter did. Princess Isabella had the honor to wear her mothers clutch and she did like a royal woman. I don't know if you noticed it before I mentioned it, but I love the fact that the Princess helped out her mother. Hair and makeup were exquisite as always. Overall Mary's look reminds me so much of a typical 20s outfit with the low waistline, embellished dress and soft curly hairstyle.

Day 1. New Year's Banquet at Amalienborg castle

Sunday, January 1st

Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik hosted the first, of four, New Year's reception for the government, representatives of the official Denmark and the court at Christian VII's Palace, Amalienborg. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended just as Prince Joachim and Princess Marie did.

First of all it is time for me to wish you all a Happy New Year! I hope you had the most wonderful evening along with your friends and family. Unbelievable that the calendar already says 2017. I really look forward to share one more year in your company. Once again, a Happy New Year everybody!

Well, a new year also means three days with New Year receptions for the royal family including the biggest evenings of them all: the New Year's Banquet at Christian VII's Palace, Amalienborg. The ultimate evening! Already around 6 pm. local time the guests started to arrive and about 5 minutes before the dinner began the royal family members arrived. First Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, followed by the Crown Prince couple and then, last but not least Queen Margrethe and her husband Prince Henrik. It was all broadcasted live on Danish television, with me glued to the screen (as usual). One day I hope I will get the chance to be there myself and watch them arrive. Maybe one day. They all dazzled looking their absolute best! No doubt that this is my favourite evening.
The royal family share a couple of pictures, here, taken from the inside of Christian VII's Palace, showing a beautifully decorated table and a room ready to host a magnificent dinner.

Speaking about the most incredible evening, we also have to speak about splendid outfit. Indeed we saw overwhelmingly outfit and many of them are worth mentioning, but I'll leave the commenting to you. My specialty is royal outfits and I am really thrilled to be the one talking about Princess Marie's, Crown Princess Mary's and Queen Margrethe's evening look with you. Let's take talk about Princess Marie first. She was wearing a grey gown that surprised me. Not something I'd expected, but wauw she made it work. What a figure, not much to hide, but I doubt there is anything to hide. Then we have the Queen in one of her reused taffeta gowns. That colour looks just amazing on her. For sure she is a Queen! Now our Queen-to-be, Crown Princess Mary in her dazzling golden dream of a gown. The very same dress as she wore on the Marco Grop portrait, here, created by Jesper Høvring. Mary got her very own version of one of his dressed from his Aw2016 collection, here. Since we first saw it on the photograph, my only wish to see her wear it for a occasion like this and we did along with a brand new cape made from Lasse Spangenberg Copenhagen! It perfectly matched the golden gown and the Ruby Parure. And look how beautifully the hemline is. Sorry to say to you who didn't like this, but I really do. Even with the black tulle underneath. I also see a Cartier bracelet as well as a Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond bracelet. Till anything else tell's otherwise, her clutch is the one from Judith Leiber. The only thing I have not been able to find out about is what pair of shoes she was wearing, but they look golden or maybe metallic. With makeup and hairstyle, Mary is my number one!

The Reumert Award show is something I really look forward to every single year. I have watched the show now for quite many years and I truly enjoy it. I would so much like to watch more live performances, plays in the theatre etc. but unfortunately am I far away from this cultural world. So for me to follow singers, actors and artists this one evening a year is just great. You get a perfect sense of what is going on, on stages across the country whatever you like classical music or innovative children's theatre. Prominent guests were all invited to watch the show, which was broadcasted live on Sunday evening, taken place in the Opera House in Copenhagen - right across where the Crown Prince Couple lives. This is only important to know because another prominent woman, who attended the show, was the Crown Princess herself. She arrived in a really great mood as the last person right before the show was about to begin. Along with all the perfect dressed guests the Crown Princess enjoyed the evening, honoring some of Denmark's most talented artists. This year 22 statuettes (designed by artist John Kørner) were handed over. It was actor Rasmus Btoft, actress Bodil Jørgensen and Danish comedian Nikolaj Stockholm, who made sure both audience and TV viewers had a great evening. Usually, we get a glimpse or two of her during the show, but not this time. She was also on her own and not accompanied by her husband, who usually attends with her.

Despite it is the performing arts show of the year, we only have seen very few pictures of Mary. Sadly, but I will not hide how surprised and maybe also shocked I am of what she wore on Sunday in the Opera House. She was more appropriately dressed than many others. Kate managed to find it at Prada. A designer I have had in mind all along. The color-combo is very special. I do not that if that is in a good or bad way. Or maybe it's the embellishment on her upper body that bothers me? One good thing about this new dress, is the length. I can't imagine how it would have looked if it was a floor length dress. Am I the only who think this dress is not the most beautiful creation she has worn lately?

As much as she did not convince me with her choice of dress, I'm totally in love with her accessories. Drop-shaped Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings, a matching diamond bracelet and her golden leather pumps from Manolo Blahnik. Perfect for an evening like this. Such as with the snake skin clutch from Judith Leiber. Looks good on her, when she walked down the red carpet arriving to the Opera House. I'm also very much adore her hairstyle. Curly hair is always a favourite of mine. Quite simple and at the same time so elegant. Over all, she looks really pretty. I can't wait to hear what you have to say about this outfit. Is the dress the most beautiful you have ever seen or...?

Gala dinner at Christiansborg palace

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary hosted a gala dinner at Christiansborg palace in Copenhagen on the occasion of the Trilateral Commission meeting.

On Saturday the 7th of November, the Crown Prince couple hosted a gala dinner on occasion of the Trilateral Commission meeting at the end of a three-day conference, which took place at Danish Industry for the commission's European members. The dinner was held at Christiansborg palace in the hall with the characteristic black and white floors and colourful tapestry. I don't know if you keep an eye on their calendar, but this dinner is really something I have been looking forward to in a very long time. Therefor it has been terrible to wait days for pictures from the event, but we finally got some. And it was differently worth waiting for. During the three-day conference, Crown Prince Frederik gave a speech and got the chance to talk with some of the members on the meeting's different topics -like how to improve cooperation politically and economically between various regions of the world.
From the outside Christiansborg palace does not look that special at all, which of course is just my opinion, but the second you enter the first room you immediately see how magnificent it is. Every room is beautifully decorated with huge chandeliers hanging from the ceiling in every room. You see old paintings everywhere along with the most overwhelmingly furnitures. It is differently worth a visit. You are led from one room to another and every room gets more fantastic than the previous. In the middle you find the Great Hall or Riddersalen in Danish. The chandeliers are even bigger, the floor is like a huge chessboard and everywhere you look these colourful tapestries are hanging on the walls. The Great Hall has been used for numerous royal dinners, birthdays as well as state visits. You get mesmerized by entering the room. The unique tapestries are made by the sculptor Bjørn Nørgaard and they were a gift to the Queen in 1990 when she celebrated her 50th birthday. The 17 tapestries tell the 1000 year history of Denmark. Ten years later, in 2000, the tapestries were done and placed in the Great Hall on occasion of the Queen's 60th birthday. The Great Hall measures 40 meters long and 10 meters high, here.

Why do I adore Mary so much? Because she unexpectedly shows up in a golden jacquard fitted dress wearing matching pumps. That's why. It was so much worth waiting for to get a glimpse of her attending the gala dinner. I really think every royalist turned their heads and looked just one more time to see how dazzling Mary was. How was your first reaction when you saw her in the golden wonder? Mary looks good in almost everything from trousers to dresses, but she also chooses her clothes with great care. Most women would look like a disco ball wearing such a dress, but not Mary. I expressed to you who much I really wanted to identify this new golden evening dress and with the precious help from Heaven and Kate, the dress has now been found. The golden wonder is from Prada.  She paired it with her golden glitter pumps from Gianvito Rossi to make the outfit look even more stunning. Among others, she has worn them at the INDEX: Award 2015 in Helsingør, here and at the Reumert Award 2015, here. She matched everything beautifully with Cenius & Bach earrings and a golden diamond bracelet -which I still do not know designed. I also spotted her wearing the box clutch from Judith Leiber. The perfect clutch to the most amazing evening outfit.

She was present for this years DANISH Design Talent -Magasin Prize 2015 at a gala show and dinner with all the over 200 special invited guests. This is the third time the Magasin Prize are presented and the Crown Princess was the one to reveal the this years winner. Besides the honor and the chance to get their own fashion show during Copenhagen Fashion Week in January, the winner or winners takes home DKK 500,000. Four different design talents compete about all this. The guests all arrived on the red carpet where a sea of photographers were lined up to get the best pictures of men and women dressed in stunning evening clothes. I think we saw the most amazing evening gown decorated with feathers, sequins, flowers, lace etc. All with dazzling jewellery and clutches. An evening where we get to see the very best. It really was a evening to remember. By the way it is the second time the Crown Princess attend the prestigious event. The last time she attended was in 2014 where Mark Tan won. You might remember that name, because Mark Tan also won one of The Crown Prince Couple's Stardust Prizes only a few months ago. During the dinner, several artists entertained wearing the four design talents creations. The four nominated talents also presented their very own mini collection, which was followed by the attendants with great pleasure. After all the eating, music, fashion shows and much more the final moment had arrived: this years winner was about to be announced. who will be this years winner of the DANISH Design Talent Magasin Prize 2015? Before I tell you who actually won last night prize I think you should hear a little about the four nominated design talents.
The moment when the Crown Princess and Nina Wedell-Wedellsborg of the Magasin Foundation entered the stage, everyone were holding their breath to hear her announce the winner. Everyone went crazy when Tonsure won. I really want to congratulate the two gentlemen with the amazing title. Before I mentioned that the four nominated design talents had created a mini collection which were worn by the band Scarlet Pleasure who performed during the dinner. The band consists of Malte Flagstad, who has worked as a menswear designer for Maison Martin Margiela in Paris and Adam El-Zayat Hjort, a former manager of Aiaiai and purchases of Henrik Vibskov.

The main theme of this evening is undoubtedly fashion. Innovative, architectural, colorful, minimalist fashion. We are allowed to see the latest creations, trends and what the latest collection has to offer. And who is better at representing this? -Mary of course. Mary is always well- and appropriate dressed whether she going to visit at kindergarden, a hospital or attending a fashion event like last night. We love her because of her true elegance and confident style. No wonder why she was given the title as the best dressed woman in the world more than once. Her outfit from yesterday has already gained a lot of negative criticism which I do not understand. To me she looked like a white angle from the sky wearing feathers on the shoulders. These feathers are those who have been criticized the most -the thing I love the most about the gown. Late last night I received the first photo of Mary standing next to Nina Wedell-Wedellsborg of the Magasin Foundation at the arrival and right away the question occurred: where does this gown come from? My first though was a Malene Birger creation because of the mix of a minimalistic dress decorated with stones and feathers. A second later another Danish designer crossed my mind, YDE Copenhagen. He create feminine and glamorous designs. And you know what? - YDE Copenhagen (Spring/Summer 2016) is in fact the designer of Mary's new dreamy white gown. Apparently the dress can also be worn without the feathers, but I'm so glad she didn't take them off. Mary you won my heart. She only wore very few accessories. First we have her Judith Leiber clutch, a golden leaves bracelets and ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Very elegant. I still would like to see what pair of shoes she was wearing and a close up of her hairstyle.

It was a bit of an... unusual show this year. It has become a tradition for me to watch the broadcast of the Reumert Award. Something I have been doing for quite some years and I really enjoy it -or I use to. This year's show was... a bit laud, chaotic and... different. This might be the best way for me to describe how last night's show was. I use to like to watch the broadcast because it is a great way to see and hear all about past year in the world of art, good for those of us who do not have the chance to attend live theaters. It is a fantastic world to see, hear and feel. But the way it was presented last night, then I'm a little embarrassed on behalf of the performing art and artist in Denmark. My personal opinion is that you have, as hosts, the duty to make a decent show/performance. The felling I had last night was non of this, yes the couple behaved decent and laughed when something seemed to be fun. It was kinda embarrassing, but remember this is just my opinion. Nevertheless, the Crown Prince couple seemed to enjoy themselves. 26 awards were also handed over, here, to singers, artists etc. during the evening. Congratulations to all of them.

This morning I helped a few of my colleagues at Royalista trying to identify what Mary was wearing at the Reumert Award show. What a great way to start a day. After everything said above, I have to express how amazed I am about everything Mary was wearing. Her white dreamy dress reminds me a lot of what she wore when attending the Eurovision Song Contest last year, here. Do you see the similarities? It may be because of the kimono. One of the best designers when it comes to kimono's is Rabens Saloner (Spring/Summer S13), who also created this long embroidered piece. It was identified by Kate with information from Rabens Saloner's Facebook page, here. The white maxi dress is still a mystery to me. I like it a lot actually, but where it's from I can't tell. Not even the design gives a clue who the designer is. So, if you have any ideas I would love to hear from you. Another brand new piece is the golden glitter pumps, which I managed to find at Gianvito Rossi. Not a surprise at all, am I right? It seems to be her favourite shoe designer these days. She embrace the style with other golden accessories like Queen Earrings, an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen ring and her magnificent Judith Leiber clutch. I am still wondering where her new golden bracelet is from. Any ideas? Love how the outfit is simply white and golden, and the fact that her makeup is all dramatic. A stunning match in my opinion.

We have already been celebrating the Queen with a gala performance and an entire day in Aarhus, here. But this is not it. This evening over 300 guests, family and friends, were specially invited to a gala dinner at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen to celebrate the Queen. From the Danish royal family Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary, Prince Joachim, Princess Marie, Princess Benedikte, Princess Anne-Marie and former King Konstantin attended. Other royals who attended: King Carl-Gustaf & Queen Silvia (Sweden), King Harald (Norway), King William-Alexander & Queen Máxima (The Netherlands), King Philippe & Queen Mathila (Belgium) which could celebrate his 55th birthday and King Felipe & Queen Letizia (Spain). When all 300 guest -including royals, the Danish Government and friends- had found their seats; Crown Prince Frederik have the opening speech of the evening. First a few sentences in english and the a more personal speech directly to his mother in Danish. Among others, he told that he's very proud of her and think she's a really good Queen, mother and grandmother. It was a really warm and touching speech. The reason why Frederik held it, is because  his father, Prince Henrik, is ill and did not attend the dinner. Hope he will be well soon.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary arrive in Crown 2 (Krone 2) a few minutes before 8:00 pm. local time. A few minutes later they entered Christiansborg Palace and met photographers and journalists. I have been really excited to see what she would be wearing -maybe the white Birgit Halstein dress or the pink one she wore at the coronation in the Netherlands or... wait she actually wore the pink gown from the coronation!! The dreamy dress made by tailor Birgit Hallstein. A wonderful dress in the most amazing light pink color featuring a lace top attached with sequins. She reminds me of the sleeping beauty (Disney, 1959), Princess Aurora, when she in the end of the movie is dancing with her Prince. So romantic! Her hair was in a very simple curly hairdo with two pieces from the Ruby parure. Earrings and tiara are both parts of the old Ruby parure from Queen Ingrid. The bracelet and ring are made by goldsmiths from Marianne Dulong when the parure was tailored a few years ago. I'm pretty sure her pink pumps are the one from Gianvito Rossi and of course her snake skin clutch from Judith Leiber. The blue ribbon from the Elephant Order brightened next to the colour of the gown is memorable! Mary was not the only one who wore a absolutely stunning gown at the dinner. I found my top 5 of royal dresses from the dinner that I really like.
