Day 2. Official State Visit to Australia

March 15, 2026

Sunset over Uluṟu

The royal couple started their day by visiting Muṯitjulu Waterhole in Uluṟu to watch the beautiful sunset. A personal guide shared the experience with King Frederik and Queen Mary while sharing informations and stories from the area.

In the morning hours the couple looked liked any other tourists admiring the sunset. The King flashed an army printed hat, hiking boots and a back pack with (supposedly) supplies for the walk. His wife matched his style with perfection: a messy knot in a cap, linen shorts and practical walking boots.

I love their "undercover" outfits!

Arriving in Canberra

King Frederik and Queen Mary then arrived in Canberra. They were warmly welcomed at the Government House by Sam Mostyn, the Governor-General of Australia and spouse Simeon Beckett. As part of the welcoming, the couple participated a traditional some ceremony.

I was in love with the couple when they visited the Muṯitjulu Waterhole in Uluṟu. They blended in like it was the most easy thing in the world - if it wasn't for the many photographers and journalists...

When arriving in Canberra, Mary had changed to one of her stunning floral printed dressed in Zimmermann. It is not my favorite dress though I adore the bright color! Because of the smashing color and I think it is great that she chose rather neutral Gianvito Rossi pumps.

Like the woman performing the smoke ceremony, Mary was too beautifully bejewelled wearing jewellery from both Rebekka Notkin, Orit Elhanati, Dulong Fine Jewelry and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Some of the finest jewellery designers were have in Denmark.

Official welcoming ceremony in Canberra

King Frederik and Queen Mary were also welcomed in Canberra with at an official ceremony at the Government House. The gathering were hosted by the Governor-General of Australia Sam Mostyn and her spouse Simeon Beckett.

A second welcoming ment a second (or third) outfit suited for the occasion. Mary had chosen a brand new floral printed set from Claes Iversen. It's a couture design from 2016 which tells us that fashion never goes out of style.

The weather was wonderful. Warm and sunny. Mary's color-palette was really well-chosen. The dusty blue head piece matched both the reused LIN8 clutch and the blue sky. Her summery look was topped of with beige pointed leather from Prada.

Gala dinner at the Government House

It has already been a fantastic day. We are so spoiled. Just look at all those incredible outfits. Can it get any better? Apparently, yes.

In the evening, the Governor-General of Australia Sam Mostyn and spouse Simeon Beckett hosted a gala dinner at the Government House in honor of the King and Queen's visit. Both King Frederik and Sam Mostyn gave a speech at the dinner.

Mary truly looked like a star on a starry night. Her amazing evening gown is a reused and altered Jesper Høvring creation. It goes back to the wedding of Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling in 2010. I am truly a fan of the original design but I the added golden top/sleeve. Makes it even more glamorous.

Like it wasn't enough: she wore stunning jewellery from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and a fine bracelet that once belonged to Crown Princess Lovisa.

Day 1. Official State Visit to Australia

March 14, 2026

King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived in Perth yesterday and were welcomed by Governor Chris Dawson and spouse, Darrilyn Dawson at the Government House.

On March 14th, the couple flew to Uluṟu in the Northern Territory to officially start their state visit. At the welcoming in Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park Cultural Centre, the Queen showed everybody the standard for this whole trip.

Do you remember the blouse? She first wore it in 2004 and it hasn't been seen since. Back then she wore it with a white trousers and a matching belt. More than 20 years later, she style it with a new long Mark Kenly Domino Tan skirt and a Akubra hat.

The couple watched the sunset over Uluṟu in company of Senior Aṉangu. The sun made her stunning jewellery (from Orit Elhanati, Cartier, Dulong Fine Jewelry, Rebekka Notkin and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen) shine like golden stars. Tomorrow, they will watch the sun rise over Uluṟu.

December 12, 2025

The Dandora landfill

Queen Mary started her second day in Nairobi by visiting Dandora - the biggest landfill in the country. Denmark wish to contribute to a better and more circular waste management. Today, both humans and animals are to be found at the landfill.

For her visit at the Dandora landfill she showed up wearing a matching Columbia blouse and belted trousers and rubber boots. The necklace is from Orit Elhanati.

Official events

Queen Mary also took part in several different official events during the day. She both met with the President of Kenya, Dr. Wiliam Samoei Ruto at the UN headquarters and attended a high-level event with the United Nations Environment Assembly. The Queen gave the opening speech.

When meeting the President of Kenya, Mary changed to wear a fine dotted Prada dress. It is a reuse first seen in Paris in 2021. This time she matched it with beige python pumps from Gianvito Rossi. About now, they have traveled the world and seen Nigeria, Belgium, Japan and now Kenya. A clever choice to wear her beige Prada handbag. Great combo, right?

Mary embraced the look with white pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a couple of golden bracelets from the same designer. Her diamond studded bracelet is an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen creation. The massive gold one is Rebekka Notkin.

Reception

TEKST

Queen Mary took part in an official reception hosted by the Danish Embassy in Kenya.

What a dreamy outfit Mary wore at the evening reception at the Danish Embassy! The stunning blouse is a design by Jesper Høvring. I kinda like the combo of the colors. The skirt is a reused - I guess it could be tailored, but I still don't know where it is from.

Mary matched the outfit with an old bronze clutch from Mulberry. I was thrilled to see her wear an old goodie like this. I'm even more amazed to see the peep-toe pumps from Christian Louboutin. I really missed these pieces. We haven't seen them in years.

Another piece I'm almost shocked to see is the custom-made necklace from Ali Al Awssi. Mary first wore this necklace in 2004! Her diamond studded bracelet is Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and the earrings are from Louise Grønlykke. Seem like she had them altered. I like the shorter version.

Day 1. Official visit to Kenya

December 10, 2025

Queen Mary arrived yesterday in Nairobi to attend a three-day official visit to Kenya. She is traveling as patron of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). The visit will focus on the collaboration between Denmark and Kenya in areas of environmental protection, renewable energy and climate action.

She spent her first day in Kilifi Country- the South East part of Kenya.

Before going to the Arabuko Sokoke Forest (the largest remaining coastal forest in East Africa), the Queen met with Gideon Maitha Mung'aro, the Gonvernor of Kilifi Country.

Mary is known to wear these printed Heartmade Julie Fagerholt blouses when abroad on visits like these. She first wore this one when on a work visit in Mozambique with UNFPA 2012. It looked great paired with those soft beige trousers and the dark brown leather belt. When meeting with the the Gonvernor of Kilifi Country, Mary also wore a fine blue blazer.

Mary style the casual outfit with a brand new Aiayu cap and Ray Ban sunglasses. We haven't seen the Orit Elhanati necklace for quite a while. A few years back she wore it all the time. I kinda missed it. Looks beautiful with the colorful beaded Dulong Fine Jewelry necklace.

She changed from a pair of Prada ballet flats to Salomon walking boots when going into the rainforest.

Welcome to a new board member

October 10, 2025

Queen Mary and the Mary Foundation welcomed two new members of the foundation's board. The new board members are Klaus Dallerup and Michael Vad.

Klaus Dallerup is the leader of the Financial Services and Private Equity & Principal Investors Practices in the Middle East, Asia and Europe. He also leads the McKinsey's digital and multichannel work.

Michael Vad advises boards of directors and top management in Danish and international companies. He is partner at Deloitte who offers auditing, tax, and consulting services to both private and public companies.

Queen Mary wore a chic dark blue The Fold London suit. She first wore the beautiful suit at the presentation of the EliteForsk awards on February 26th 2024. Mary also flashed the suit at a visit at the Deaconess Foundation in November 2024. I kinda missed the colorful blouse as in 2024. How do you like a suit worn?

At the meeting at Frederik VIII's Palace on October 10 Mary styled the business look with golden earrings from Orit Elhanati and her beloved diamond necklace from Louise Grønlykke. My guess is that she added navy blue suede pumps to complete the outfit.

On April 21st Princess Isabella celebrate her 18th birthday. On that occasion her parents have shared a few photos of the Princess from their private photoalbum. Memories of her time with her family, grandparents, vacations, birthdays, etc. Wonderful glimpses of the like of a Danish Princess. Many of the photos have never been seen before.

I'd really like to share a little style info with you as well but I am not quite sure how it turned out. If you have questions about a specific outfit then let me know and I will do my best.

Day 2.

The Olympic Games 2024

26 July 2024

Visiting the Danish Athletes

Before attending the official opening ceremony, the King and Queen visited the Danish Athletes in the olympic city in Paris

The Danish Athletes are amongst 14,000 others participants who are about to compete different sports from today till August 11th.

King Frederik and Queen Mary joined the athletes for lunch.

Once again, Mary had chosen a red and white outfit! What's not to be proud of? Yesterday, when the couple arrived in Paris, Mary also wore the most magnificent red Max Mara jumpsuit and a white linen blazer

Today, when visiting the participating Danish Athletes in the olympic city she stunned wearing a simple white dress or blouse and skirt. I believe she wore a dress. The chic red blazer is designed by Vero Moda which has created costumes for the Danish Athletes alongside with Jack & Jones. Both Danish brands.

Mary embraced the style with golden earrings from Orit Elhanati and necklaces from Halberstadt and Dulong Fine Jewelry. Two of her bracelets are also designs by Dulong Fine Jewelry. The diamond ring is a beloved one from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

How to make this outfit even better? - no problem. With a brown Chloe leather bag and matching heeled sandals from Gianvito Rossi.

Official opening ceremony

What we have all been waiting for: the official opening ceremony! What a crazy experience it most have been for the couple and all the other attending the big ceremony. Imagine what went thought the participants participating the opening.

The King and Queen also attended a reception hosted by the President of France Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron. The reception took place at the Palais de lÈlysées.

A number of other royal guest were also invited to the reception - and the opening ceremony. The King and Queen of Spain, King Philippe and Queen Mathilda of Belgium, Prince Albert and Princess Charlene of Monaco and the lest goes on.

I truly adore Mary's outfit at the reception: a brand new Jesper Høvring blouse and stunning new white Andiata trousers. A thin brown leather belt from Scanlan & Theodore. Nevertheless, I think it was a bit too informal for the event. Looking at what all the other royal women were wearing I think Mary's was a little plain. What do you think?

Mary also wore a new trenchcoat but this I do not recognize. Think it could be new.

Her beautiful golden diamond studded earrings are from Dulong Fine Jewelry such as two of three necklaces. The third one is Halberstadt. Do you like wearing multiple necklaces? I like it but it does not suit me very well.

At the reception, Mary used her brown Chloe bag as clutch. Think it is the first time we have seen that. Maybe another clutch would have made the outfit slightly more exclusive for the occasion?

The red rivet pumps are an iconic design by Valentino.

Crown Prince Christian's graduation ceremony

28 June 2024

On June 24th, Crown Prince Christian graduated high school from Ordrup Gymnasium. Graduating high school in Denmark comes with a graduation ceremony. Ordrup Gymnasium celebrated the graduation on June 28th.

The Crown Prince was accompanied by his fellow students and of course his family. King Frederik and Queen Mary attended the ceremony from front raw with Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.

Tradition prescribes 'studenterkørsel'. The students drive from one students home to another in different types of trucks. Partying, having fun and celebrating their graduation. Of course the truck also stopped by Amalienborg. The Crown Prince and his classmates were all warmly welcomed by the royal family - also Queen Margrethe.

Love her look at Christian's graduation ceremony! She looks amazing in her POLO Ralph Lauren two-piece. Mary first wore the set at the opening of Jetsmark in August 2023. Really like the 'casual vibe'. Great match with those brown heeled Gianvito Rossi sandals. Comfy meets classy. Once again, she wore the set with a simple white blouse.

She accessorized her outfit with incredible reused golden earrings from Orit Elhanati. Adore Elhanati's craftsmanship. She is very talented. Her masterpiece necklaces are created by Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. Did you notice that Mary also wore her green emerald and diamond ring from Annikat?

I am a Prada-bag-girl. I do not own a single one, but Mary convinced me years ago. Her Prada bag collection is outstanding. Especially, her handbags. Like the one she wore at her son's graduation. Everything is perfect.

Day 1.

Official state visit to Norway

14 May 2024

On their way to Oslo

The King and Queen just participated an official state visit to Sweden and are now on their way to visit Norway. They are spending time on board Dannebrog and is arriving in Oslo by the royal ship.

The couple shared a photo of the two of them a few hours before arriving in Oslo.

What an amazing photo! I love the whole atmosphere. Casual and relaxed. Mary looked beautiful in a simple black and white striped Max Mara blouse, probably jeans an a lightweight navy blue down vest from Yeti.

Best guess is that she matched the casual outfit with a pair of sneakers. The blue Gucci sunglasses are a reuse. First worn when inaugurating the hiking route 'Skudestien' in August 2023.

Official welcoming

King Frederik and Queen Mary arrived at Honnørbryggen in Oslo around noon and were warmly welcomed by the Norwegian royal family. What a sight! Followed by an official welcoming ceremony at Det Kongelige Slott.

The couple then attended a ceremony at the memorail site ' The National Monument' for the victims of the war in 1940-1945. They also had the pleasure of meeting the President of the Parliament Masud Gharahkhani before having lunch at Kongsgården.

Wauw! Mary looked absolutely stunning when the couple arrived in Oslo, Norway. So polished and elegant. Love how she matched her reused plain white Ralph Lauren jacket with that paisley printed Erdem skirt. She emphasized her slim waist beautifully with a dusty pink belt. Great color!

What Mary do best is color-combinations. Especially, when she wears accessories in the same color palette. Like the belt, Max Mara handbag and exclusive pointed Gianvito Rossi pumps. I am always amazed how she is able to find matching colors even crossing designers.

I am sure you noticed her fine earrings. Mary inherited them from Queen Margrethe - who actually wore them on her official 18th birthday portrait. Mary first wore them in 2012. According to Billed Bladet, Mary's new brooch also belonged to Queen Margrethe. It goes back to Queen Lovisa.

Visit at 'Oslo Science City' and 'MiNaLab'

Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit accompanied King Frederik and Queen Mary, when the couple paid a visit at 'MiNaLab' which is part of Oslo University and it an open laboratory for students and scientists.

The royal couple were given an insight into current research in microchips and the potential of quantum technology, such as the cooperation between Norway and Denmark on the green transition.

Love how Mary and Mette-Marit matched their outfits. Both wearing a fine blouse and wide-legged trousers. Mary had chosen a brand new blue and white striped button-down from Bagutta and old Chloe trousers. The color is simply wonderful. Never really thought about paring blue and brown.

She also wore a rather new brown leather handbag from Anya Hindmarch. First seen on May 7th 2024. We also get a glimpse of new Malone Souliers mules. I am not their biggest fan, but Mary wear them with such elegance.

Her stunning jewellery are Orit Elhanati earrings, a golden diamond studded Halberstadt necklace and a custom-made ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Splendid combo!

Gala dinner at Det Kongelige Slott

What a wonderful night it was when King Harald and Queen Sonja hosted a prestiges gala dinner at Det Kongelige Slott in Oslo.

Both Crown Prince Haakon, his wife Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Princess Astrid also attended the fine dinner.

It was indeed a magical night! Everybody looked so happy and all were well-dressed. Loved Queen Sonja's dress. The color is amazing. Reminds me a bit about one of Mary's Jesper Høvring dresses. Crown Princess Mette-Marit also looked beautiful in her two-piece.

Nevertheless, Mary took my breath away in her altered Birgit Hallstein dress. The Danish tailor really did a great work with her old gowns from from 2015. It is hard to believe it is even the same dress. Completely transformed. I adore the new details!

What's even more fantastic, is that Mary wore the exquisite Danish Pearl Poiré Parure - previously worn by among others Queen MargretheQueen Ingrid and Princess Louise. Read more about the parure at 'The Royal Watcher'.

She also embraced the evenings outfit with a reused silver clutch, her beloved Halberstadt necklace and shiny Manolo Blahnik pumps.

BUPL's 50th anniversary

&

Meeting with Crown Princess Mary Center's Advisory Committee

12 October 2023

It was quite a day for Crown Princess Mary who first attended the grand celebration of BUPL's 50th anniversary (here). The celebration took place in Pædagogernes House in Copenhagen.

BUPL is a trade union and social security fund for educators in Denmark.

Crown Princess Mary attended the anniversary as Chairman of the Mary Foundation. She also gave a beautiful speech remembering the importance of relations and communities for children.

Then followed a meeting with the Crown Princess Mary Center's Advisory Committee (here). The committee members meet twice a year to advise the Crown Princess Mary Center on partnership and development opportunities.

At the meeting was discusses questions like: How do you combine good documentation and good care in nursing homes? How can we increase our knowledge of "digital violence" in the home? How do heat waves affect the humanitarian work of Danish organisations?

Mary looked lovely in her old dark green Massimo Dutti suit. The color is smashing and suits her dark hair and fair skin with such perfection. Green has also become my favorite color this fall. Which is yours? Mary matched the suit with a simple plain white blouse. I think it is new but really, she has so many similar white blouses like this. Any ideas?

What else then embracing the style with matching green studded pumps from Valentino? Love when she wears color-like outfits. Makes it look even more complete. Gives her outfits such a polished glance. The exclusive brown leather handbag is an old one from MaxMara. The glasses are Gucci.

As jewellery, Mary had chosen golden ones. Earrings from Orit Elhanati and a couple of necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. The rather large ring on her right hand is a custom-made piece from Dulong Fine Jewelry. She has two similar rings as well with different stones.

Happy 19th anniversary!

Today, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary! Imagine it being 19 years since this wonderful couple got married. Can't believe it.

This year, they share their wedding anniversary with Mother's Day. Crown Prince Frederik made a special post on social media congratulating his wife and the mother of his children.

"My wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary today. A very special day for the both of us. One we both like to celebrate - also with our four children. This year, it is also Mother's Day. Therefore, a special greeting to you, Mary, as wife and mother. I also want to wish every mother around the country a happy Mother's Day"

- Crown Prince Frederik

Mary looked beautiful next to sweet little Princess Josephine. When enjoying ice cream with her family (probably during summer time), Mary looked stunning in her white Style Butler blouse and jewellery from Dulong Fine Jewelry, Orit Elhanati and Anni Lu. This combo makes me believe that the photo is a few years old from one of their vacations. The sunglasses? They are masterpieces from Dolce & Gabbana.

Day 3. A visit to Bangladesh

27 April

Crown Princess Mary has been in Bangladesh on a three-day visit along with the Danish Minister of Development Flemming Møller Mortensen as "representatives" for Denmark. The visit is all about climate changes and how to work with them.

On their third (and last day), the two of them visit the area of Sundarban, which is the largest mangrove ecosystem in the world. It has given space for hundreds of different species. It created a natural environment to discuss biodiversity and nature-based solutions to the massive climate changes.

Kongehuset ● Billed BladetUFO No More

On her third and last day in Bangladesh visiting the Sundarban area, Mary showed up in an old printed blouse from Heartmade Julie Fagerholt. She matched the fine pink blouse with 7 For All Mankind trousers in a beautiful green colour. UFO No More identified her new trousers.

The green Cavalleria Toscana cap was great to keep the sun on a distance, just like the Ray Ban sunglasses. Kknekki is the name behind her hairband. Once again, Mary wore her golden Orit Elhanati necklace and Arc'Teryx hiking-boots.

Day 2. A visit to Bangladesh

26 April

Crown Princess Mary has traveled to Bangladesh. The visit focuses on nature-based solutions and biodiversity. The Crown Princess is accompanied by the Danish Minister of Development, Flemming Møller Mortensen.

On their second day in Bangladesh, the two of them travelled south to the Cox's Bazar district. It was once a national park, but now it works as a "shelter" for around 900,000 Rohingya-refugees. This has created a massive pressure on already small natural resources. The Cox's Bazar district is also often hit by among others floods and monsoons. These climate changes increases the importance of more sustainable sultions for both man and nature.

Mary had chosen a relaxed and comfortable outfit on her second day in Bangladesh, when visiting the Cox's Bazar district. She matched a blue button-down blouse with light brown trousers. It is indeed likely that we have seen both blouse and trousers before, but at the moment, I cannot tell when or where.

She protected her eyes with a lovely new hat from Deborah Hutton and sunglasses from Ray Ban. I learned about the hat from UFO No More (here). It is also from UFO No More, I know about the new Arc'teryx boots.

The fine golden necklace is an Orit Elhanati. Her smart hairband is from Kknekki. A closer look revealed that she was also wearing two bracelets from Anni Lu and Dulong Fine Jewelry.
