Day 1. Milan Design Week 2021

07 September

For about a month or so, we got the news that Crown Princess Mary was going to Italy to attend Milan Design Week 2021, which is the worlds biggest annual design event. This year, Denmark is also participating with prestiges event with representatives focusing on sustainability and the circular economic in Danish design and of course architecture. Crown Princess Mary is staying in Italy for two days.

The Danish exhibition is a collaboration between the royal danish embassy in Italy, Creative Denmark, Dansk Arkitektur Center, Dansk Industri, Realdania, VisitDenmark and the participating companies.

On her first day, she first paid a visit to Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo Da Vinci. Here the Danish companies have their exhibitions. She was welcomed by Museum Director Fiorenzo Galli, Mayor of Milan Beppe Sala and Gallery owner Rossana Orlandi.

The Danish participants were clearly happy and proud to see the Crown Princess in Milano. It was with grey interest that Crown Princess Mary toured around the exhibition. She also gave the opening speech at the In-genius Waste Ceremony.

Personally, I have packed out my winter wardrobe. Woolen sweaters, tickers tights and longer dresses. Not Mary. She dressed up in a powder pink Marc Jacobs dress. Sure, the weather is different in Italy this time a year, but it seems a little strange with the weather we have in Denmark at the moment. Nevertheless, Mary looked splendid! Maybe you remember that she got the exact same dress in red. She already won my vote with the red one, but this is just as pretty.

Gold and powder pink are a magnificent match. I get why Mary chose this combination. The golden earrings are from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The same designer also created one of her necklaces, two of the golden rings and that curved new cuff. It is lovely, right? I really like how Mary was wearing all these stunning jewellery - plenty of them. It inspires me to wear more jewellery. Orit Elhanati created the second necklace and Rebekka Notkin is the talented designer of Mary's two other bracelets on her right wrist. The last bracelet is from Cartier. She also wore an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond band.

For sure you noticed that new small leather handbag. I learned at UFO No More that it is from Max Mara. Even though it is not that big, it will hold every essential you need on the go. I adore these smal handbags. My collection of small handbags are all vintage from the 50's. Mary's Gianvito Rossi snakeskin pumps are a prefect choice for this outfit.

"The BLOX - Built Back Better Summit "

1st September

Another wonderful day. First the Crown Princess participated in a guided tour around the BLOX facilities.

Then she attended the opening of "The BLOX - Built Back Better Summit". Here she was warmly welcomed by CEO of Realdania, Jesper Nygård and Chairman of the Board of Realdania, Michael Brockenhuss-Schack. Philanthropy Director, Nina Kovsted Hel joined the two of them and welcomed Crown Princess Mary at the house BLOX, where the conference took place.

BLOX that housed the event is a gathering-point for both architecture, urban life and sustainability in Copenhagen. "Built Back Better" was first launched in 2015 by the United Nations. It is a concept that focuses on the rebuilding process of cities after having bit struck by a catastrophe. Now the concept has come to Denmark - and is hopefully here to stay.

With Crown Princess Mary front raw CEO of the United Nations Global Compact, Sanda Ojiambo and CEO of WHO Europe, Dr Hans Kluge gave the introductory speeches and officially opened the conference. Among other things, their speech touched the topic about those who are especially struggling at the moment due to the global pandemic.

And she strikes again! How is it possible for me to get impresses every single time Mary shows up at an event? After more than ten years following her every move, I still get overwhelmed by her sense of style - in more than one way. Really, what is not to like about this gorgeous outfit? We got something pink, something casual, something new and something old.

Her powder pink dress is brand new. Am I sure? - yes I am. The reason why you may think that we have seen this dress before is because Mary has the exact same dress in a bright red color. This one too is also from Marc by Marc Jacobs. Wish that dress was in my wardrobe. A stunning pieces I hope to see (soon) again. I always loved when she wore the other one and now I love it even more. Proves that good design can be replicated in several colors.

She embraced the style by wearing white and pink diamond earrings from Hartmann's. What better match, right? Once again, she wore plenty of smashing jewellery and I think we should take a look at them. Her love bracelet from Cartier was this time accompanied by three other golden bracelets. All from Dulong Fine Jewelry. A great way to wear more than just one bracelet. The black pearl ring is also a Dulong Fine Jewelry design.

And then she is back to wearing a clutch. This one is still unidentified and goes quite a few years back in time. I still do not know where to find it or even where to look. That is not the case with her shoes. They are from Gianvito Rossi.

Hubertus Hunt in Dyrehaven 2019

03 November

For quiet some years now the Crown Princess and her children have attended the annual Hubertus Hunt in Dyrehaven surrounding the small hunting castle - the Eremitage Castle. This year she watched the hunt with her two children, Prince Christian and Princess Josephine. The three of them had, what looks like, a splendid day in the Danish autumn weather. They enjoyed the hunt from the balcony at the Eremitage Castle which gave them a great view of all the horses, riders and people who had come to Durehaven to follow the ride.

The Hubertus Hunt has, with only a few exceptions, been an annual event since 1900. Originally, dogs were suppose to hunt down foxes. Today the foxes are no longer hunted down by dogs and their riders. Instead two riders acts as foxes. On the hunt, the riders have to cope with more than 30 challenges throughout the 11 kilometers hunt.

This year Crown Princess handed over, for the first time, Crown Princess Mary's Prize of Honor. The Prize were given to the farstest riders on pony, Caroline Nielsen, and horse, Signe Kongebro. Prince Christian and Princess Josephine helped their mother handing over the two prizes. Originally the prize "belonged" to Queen Ingrid, then Prince Henrik handed over the prize in his own name and now Crown Princess Mary is the one to present the prize at the annual event in Dyrehaven.

Crown Princess Mary shared her own photos from the Hubertus Hunt with the children in focus, here.

What I like so much about Mary's style, is the fact that she is able to adjust both colors and fabrics to the time a year and occasion. This has become one of my favourite events because it takes place during autumn (which is my favorite time a year) and usually Mary is wearing my favourite fabrics and colors. She embraced the style by wearing a lovely jacket featuring two large pockets and shiny golden buttons. The significant design had been found at Marc Jacobs. Nevertheless, it has not yet been found in the right color. Kate shared with me the model in a lovely navy blue color. Let me know if you manage to find this jacket in a darker green colors as Mary's. Then one of you made me aware that Mary had actually worn the jacket before back in 2015 at a private event at Broholm Castle, here. Actually I am surprised that I did ont recognize it, because this was one of my favorite outfits at the time.

She matched the new jacket with a magnificent green knitted turtleneck. I have never been able to identify where it is from, but I know that she had worn it several times before. Among others then they all visited Greenland in 2014, here and when she visited Bornholm in 2018, here. Her trousers is also reused. Do you remember that she wore them while interview on occasion of her 40th birthday in the newspaper Berlingske in 2012, here? I once heard Miu Miu mentioned, but I have not been able to confirm that.

With fur cuffs, brown leather boots and her stunning Ralph Lauren quality leather handbag Mary accessorized one of the greatest outfit I think we have seen lately. Wish I was able to rock this outfit with such perfection as Mary did.

Day 3. Official visit to South Korea

22 May

During the day

Two days ago, the Crown Prince Couple arrived to Seoul in South Korea. For three days they have attended an official state visit with a business delegation. The visit focuses on Danish technology and quality products. In addition, the couple are also part of the 60th anniversary celebration of diplomatic relations between Denmark and South Korea.

On the third day in Seoul, Crown Princess Mary first visited Seoul National University Hospital. She was introduced to The Seoul Sunflower Centre - a project that works to create a safe environment for children in need. She then visited Jongno Children's Theater. The Danish theater group MishMash  made a performance about the Cultural Year 2019 between Denmark and South Korea called 'The Nose'.

After a business lunch with prominent Korean women, Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of a Fritz Hansen Showroom. It is the first flagship store in Seoul with focus on the famous Danish designer Poul Kjærholm. A few hours later she then attended the opening of another exhibition by Royal Copenhagen at K.O.N.G. Gallery. The Danish porcelain company made a brand new collection on occasion of Royal Copenhagen Korea's 25th anniversary. The collection is Flora Danica painted Korean wild flowers.

All day Mary was so comfortable - both in what she was wearing and her spirit. She was one big smile. On the third day in Seoul Mary was dressed in a reused Marc by Marc Jacobs dress. This is the third time we see her in the dress. It is best known from when she wore it in 2012 at the presentation of the Skt. Loye Award, here. Actually the dress was worn first time a year earlier on an official visit to Australia. Unfortunately pictures are hard to find. Its color has often been discused. Personally I still go with red, not orange. But I think it comes in different colors.

As shoes she had chosen a reuse pair of nude pointed pumps from Prada. Somehow I think these look very comfortable to wear. The leather looks really soft. Sometimes I wonder how she is able to wear heeled shoes as much as she does. We rarely see her wear other than pumps on official events. Nevertheless, she matched the shoes with a nude ostrich clutch from Naledi Copenhagen.

The earrings are old as well. Worn on a few other occasions. It has never been confirmed, but they are told to be a design by Dulong Fine Jewelry. That very same designer did in fact make four of her six worn bracelets. The other two is from Cartier and possibly Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, here. A classy and really elegant outfit.

Exhibition

After a long day for both of them, they met at the opening of an Asger Jorn exhibition at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul. It is the first solo exhibition of Asger Jorn ever exhibited in Asia. As patron for the Danish and South Korean Cultural Year of 2019, the Crown Princess entered the stage and gave a speech on occasion of the opening.

A couple of hours later it was time for a dinner. The Crown Prince Couple attended a cultural dinner as part of the Cultural Year 2019 between Denmark and South Korea - a 60 years anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Both of them were in a splendid mood though it had been three really long days. Nevertheless, they smiled and had a wonderful time.

Personally, I think it has bee one amazing state visit. For sure I will keep it in mind for years. I am a little late with news from their trip, but better now than never, right? Thanks for following the couple going to Seoul with me. I wish for many more in the future.

When the couple visited South Korea for the first time in 2012, Mary was wore very colorful clothes. This time she was dressed a bit more in plain colors and silhouettes. Not bad at all. Attending the last events before going back to Denmark Mary showed up in a reused sustainable white dress made by David Andersen, here. It is the forth time she's wearing the dress. Though it's quite simple, it is covered with incredible details. I just realized that it has an open back. That is what good design is alla bout - discovering new details over and over again.

Mary always enjoyed golden jewellery. So did she on this trip. Especially at the opening of the Asger Jorn exhibition and the following dinner. The stunning earrings are from Rebekka Notkin. She first wore them not that long ago. I struggled trying to identify them. A friend of mine immediately recognized them as Rebekka Notkin. I then see one golden bangle from Cartier and four others bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Love that she is wearing all these different bracelets. Makes a great look, don't you think? I also noticed her golden ring as Dulong Fine Jewelry. The clutch is a design by Judith Leiber and the golden pumps are from Manolo Blahnik. A winner outfit.

The Carlsberg Foundation Research Awards 2016

Sunday, September 25th

Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of the Carlsberg Foundation Research Awards 2016 followed by a dinner. Both events took place at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen.

This is not the first time Crown Princess Mary attends the presentation of the Carlsberg Foundation Research Awards - and hopefully not the last. She was welcomed with flowers and handshakes. Shortly after the arrival she attended a dinner on occasion of the ceremony followed by the presentation of two awards, which were given to a scientific and a social science researcher. Along with the honor the winners are given DKK 1 million for further research. Tobias Holck and Morten Broberg are this years winner of the Carlsberg Foundation Research Awards. Congratulations to  both of them.

2016 was a bit more special because the presentation actually took place on Carlsberg Foundation's 140th anniversary. All of this celebration took place at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen as previously. So this is how Crown Princess Mary spend her Sunday afternoon - as guest of honor at a award ceremony.

... and she strikes again. In a floral vintage inspired Marc Jacobs dress. Yellow roses is not some of my favourite, but I think I have to rethink that state of mind, at least when it comes to yellow roses as print on a dress. Lately, Mary surprised me quite a lot with what she has been wearing and this one was no excuse. Smashing shape that embraces her figure beautifully. B., Heaven and Kate told me about her new dress. The black details on the skirt makes me think of a cartoon dress (nothing bad about that). What was your first impression?

Matching the yellow theme Mary had chosen a pair of new Jewlscph earrings, here, found by Kate and her Børge Niels Knudsen vintage cuff featuring a huge diamond shaped yellow citrine. And of course the golden Cartier bracelet. Paring the outfit with shiny black Gianvito Rossi pumps and a black Sergio Rossi clutch.

Really love how dramatic her eye makeup is. She looks like a summer sunset. I wonder how this dress would look with a pair of golden or maybe even silver glitter pumps?

The Royal Ascot 2016

Wednesday, June 15th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the second day of the Royal Ascot, here, at Ascot Racecourse in London, England, which wasn't officially announced.

It cam as a huge surprise to all of us, when the Danish Crown Prince couple suddenly appeared in a carriage at the annual Royal Ascot event at Ascot Racecourse in London. Nothing had been announced in advance and the fact that it is the first time they attend a horse race. In total, four carriages arrived one by one for us to see some of the world's most prominent royals. The first one arrived with, among others, the Queen of the United Kingdom and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh. They were followed by Prince Charles of Wales and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall. The Crown Prince couple then arrived in the third carriage accompanied by Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, and Sofie Countess of Wessex. Last but not least, arrived the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in the forth carriage. I have he feeling the couple really enjoyed themselves at the race in London. The Crown Princess was constantly launching and having a good time, while with her husband mingled with the rest of the British royal family. Not every day we get to see the Danish and English members interact with each other. It is differently a rare sight we just experienced. After all, it is a horse race and it actually looks like the crown Princess had the winning ticket, here. Much has already been written about the couples day in London, so this is all you get from me. I have found some I think you will like.

The Royal Ascot is differently more than betting for the right horse. It is also about finding the right outfit to wear and Mary did a fantastic job with the reused red Marc By Marc Jacob dress. A gorgeous dress, featuring the most incredible details like cap sleeves and pleated fabric. I am so please to see her in this dress again. It makes the very best of her slim figure. Think it is the third time she is wearing it. I noticed that Mary had chosen a dress lightly shorter than everybody else. Well, she is a first timer. Like with the dress, she wore some really interesting pieces of accessories - as the headpiece created by milliner Jane Taylor. Sure you all remember it from the wedding in Monaco, here, and from Princess Estelle's christening in 2012, here. Keeping the dress center of attention, everything else are quickly forgotten for most other bloggers but not for me. Mary embraced the style at the Royal Ascot wearing brand new Gianvito Rossi pumps. You have seen them, right? Think they do great with her dress and for the occasions. I am not sure I would have fallen in love with her pumps, if she had not worn them. As model, I am not quite a fan. Heaven and Kate are the ones who were able to identify her new Gianvito Rossi pumps. Matching both shoes and hairpiece, she wore the amazing beige clutch from Naledi Copenhagen, here. As jewellery she wore a new Cartier bracelet (their Love Bracelet, maybe a gift from her husband on their 12th anniversary?), a golden one from Ole Lynggaard copenhagen and a large Dulong Fine Jewelry ring. My guess is that her earrings from from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen as well, but I can not tell for sure. Hopefully, it is not going to be the last time for them to attend the Royal Ascot.

When Mary came to Denmark in 2003 and married our Prince Frederik in 2004 she was already known as the Fashion Princess. Several years later Mary told in an interview that she would like to be known for something else then just the fashion princess. To me Mary is much more but also a style icon! She has a natural attraction and not just because she's the Crown Princess of Denmark. When she arrived to the Bella Centre and stepped out of the car dressed in a brand new navy blue Brunns Bazaar dress, she immediately became the centre of attention. The dress was, as the Maison Martin Margiela (AW12) ankle boots, identified by Pernille. My gratitude! You might remember them from when she watched the handball game in Spain a few weeks ago? Both the brown boots, Carlend Copenhagen clutch and the new Naledi Copenhagen leather bracelet. I'm amazed. Very unusual did she wear one earring from the great jewellery designer Sophie Bille Brahe, identified by RoyalOutfits. The thin diamond rings are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

Mary showed her impression for all the designers she met at the CIFF. She was given a tour around the centre to see and talk to some of the exhibitions Danish designers. I'm sure Bruuns Bazaar was proud to see their design on the Crown Princess.

Crown Princess Mary and Princess Marie at the Malene Birger anniversary show

Of course she can't attend a Malene Birger fashion show without wearing something from the designer! And she did, a wonderful black cape featuring a golden zipper. It was found by Lurdes. From the same designer she wore a pair of heeled sandals from her AW12. As earlier today she wore one earrings designed by Sophie Bille Brahe, wonderful detail. In the great bordeaux colour she chose to add both gloves and a clutch to the evening outfit.

It was love a first sight when I first saw the white blouse she was wearing. I have been obsessed finding it! Literally. The blouse is so... different but cool. After hours of search I actually found it, crazy right?! The new white blouse comes from Marc by Marc Jacobs.

Crown Princess Mary visiting the Fernandes Institute

WoOw! I have irregular heartbeats right now because of her outfit on there fifth day in Brazil. If I was a bit taller I would wear jumpsuit all the time, unfortunately that's not an possibility. Mary was wearing a stunning jumpsuit from Style Butler (Autumn/Winter 2012) identified by Kate. It has already gained lots of critics, me only comment to that is - I LOVE IT no matter what everyone else think! Again she has chosen the nice sandals from Ralph Lauren. Kate is also the one who found the right model of her gorgeous Mulberry bag. We thanks her. It makes her outfit stand even more out. Love the mix of textures, colours and patterns. Custom-made is her earrings and made by Marianne Dulong such as the ring is from the same designer.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a dinner in the evening

Where does she get her inspiration from?! I would so much like to now. To me she's a great inspiration, both her personality and her style; to me that's a part of her style. At the dinner Mary was just amazing in her blue and white, new, Jesper Høvring (Spring/Summer 2013) dress and side hairstyle. The dress was identified by Kate. What else then wear her grey Gianvito Rossi pumps and a brand new grey Marc Jacobs clutch - am I right? Without the help from Pernille I haven't been able to let you know where the clutch is from. She once again was a great help to me!
