Easter High Mass in Frederik's Church

April 05, 2026

King Frederik and Queen Mary attended the traditionel Easter High Mass in Frederik's Church in Copenhagen. The spectacular church is also known as the Marble Church. It is located close to Amalienborg; close to where the family live. This is also why they chose to walk the distance when attending the church service.

I love how Princess Isabella match her mother's style when they are in public. It's clear that she is inspired by her mother's classy outfits. For the Easter High Mass, Mary had chosen a fine CO blouse and what looks like a midi black (or navy blue) wool-blend skirt. Think we have seen it before. Mary matched her daughter in her JOSEPH coat and heeled Gianvito Rossi booth. They even wore golden rings on the same hand and fingers. Love it!

Mary accessorized her look with Gucci glasses, a green leather bag from Nina Ricci and a very special necklace. Do you recognize it? Or maybe you know the story? Well: the necklace is crafted by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen as a gift from Frederik to his wife on occasion of the twins birth in 2011. The pendant features two small "drops" in each their color. Blue for Prince Vincent and pink for Princess Josephine. She has only worn it once in 2011 at a reception in honor of the twins.

Meeting with UNEP

18 March 2024

On Monday, Queen Mary hosted a meeting with Inger Andersen. She is the Director General of the United Nations Environmental Program. Also known as UNEP.

At the meeting, the Queen was given a status about this year's UN Environment Assembly, UNEA. Every two years UNEA brings together the world's environmental ministers in Nairobi in Kenya. The assembly took place in February.

Director General Inger Andersen also informed the Queen about UNEP's work in general. How they promote biodiversity and nature protection globally.

We only have a few photos from their meeting at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg, but just enough to tell what Mary was wearing.

She stunned in a reused black knitted blouse from CO and the most incredible tweed skirt from Alexander McQueen. I always loved tweed. Must be one of my favorite fabrics. Mary has worn the skirt quite a few times. My favorite outfit is from 2022 when she attended the opening of the exhibition "The Queen's Jewellery Box".

We also get a glimpse of her white pearl earrings. They are old ones custom-made by Dulong Fine Jewelry. Look closer and you'll see a magnificent golden bangle from Dulong Fine Jewelry as well.

Love that she is wearing her golden Cartier watch again. We haven't seen that in quite some time now. Missed it. What is your view of her outfit?

The Media Competition 2022

22 March

"Courage changes the world". This is what competing schools have worked with in the Media Competition for Schools 2022.

The Media Competition for Schools are a project by Politiken, Ekstra Bladet and Jyllands-Posten - three of the leading newspapers in Denmark. The Mary Foundation, Østifterne and Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke are also supporting the event.

When Crown Princess Mary arrived to JP/Politikens Hus, she was in a wonderful mood. She was warmly welcomed by the children participating the competition and the editors from Ekstra Bladet, Jyllands-Posten and Politiken.

The winners had been chose based on the way they have worked with the year theme through originality, communication and its visual expression. Congratulations to all the winners!

Mary was indeed in a great mood. So was her outfit! Personally, I would have preferred a coat but this is a wonderful outfit for the occasion and time a year. The colours and prints are happy and classy. Mary wore a reused white knitted CO blouse with a beloved Valentino skirt. Looks great, right? She has worn the blouse and skirt once before, when Visiting Vibenhus School in 2019 (here). Even the Aquazzura boots are the same.

She embraced the look with some pretty exclusive pieces of jewellery. Like the golden Cartier bangle. It matched her Dulong Fine Jewelry and Rebekka Notkin bracelet with such perfection. Wish I would be able to wear a large bracelet like the one from Rebekka Notkin like Mary does it. The white pearl earrings are still a mystery to me. I am sure you noticed her stunning golden ring as well. It is a design by Dulong Fine Jewelry.

As mentioned before, her knee-length boots are from Aquazzura. I would really like to see her wear these boots so to see them in full length. Not always with midi skirts. Maybe one day. Hugo Boss is the creator of that very fine red leather handbag. We really need to wear handbags like this more often!

The International Day of the Girl Child 2021

12 October

On Tuesday, the Crown Princess attended a very special event: the International Day of the Girl 2021 organized by PlanBørnefonden. An event that aim to increase awareness of those problems girls handle every day because of their gender. This years area of focus was the crisis in the Sahel region of West Africa - therefor the name "#GirlsInCrisis: The lost girls in Sahel".

The Crown Princess also attended the International Day of the Girls Child last year (here).

Crown Princess Mary arrived to Nærum Gymnasium and was then welcomed by Fleming Møller Mortensen. He is the Minister for Development Cooperation and Minister for Nordic Cooperation. He was accompanied by Chairman of the Board of PlanBørnefonden Stine Bosse and Niels Hjølund, School leader of Nærum Gymnasium.

During her visit, she was introduced to the gymnasium's sponser wall. An initiative by Make A Change - a school committee at Nærum Gymnasium.

The International Day of the Girl Child has caught much attention and was closely followed by school's all over Denmark thought a livestream.

Monochrome outfits are always grey go-to's. They work every single time and are it makes a great statement. That is what Mary had chosen, when she attended the International Day of the Girls Child 2021 at Nærum Gymnasium on October 12.

The lovely black blouse is a reuse from CO. She first wore it at the Women's Board Award in 2020 (here). Back then, she embraced the style of the blouse with a light brown midi skirt. At the event in Nærum, she styled it with a simple black a-line skirt. To me, it looks brand new.

Usually, I would talk about jewellery at this point but today I fell talking about shoes first. What do you think of her new boots? Personally, I really like them but I am not quite sure they look that good with a long skirt. Think it makes her shorter and then it is a bit clumsy. The boots are from Gianvito Rossi.

Now for her other accessoires. The stunning long collier is a design by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I adore their jewellery. This necklace is no exception. It is simply stunning. The golden Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings are also great for this outfit. Then I see three golden bracelets. Her beloved Cartier bangle, a new Dulong Fine Jewelry favourite and a third one from Rebekka Notkin. Mary was also wearing a rather large ring on her right hand featuring a light green stone. I have identified it as a new ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Meeting with Maternity Foundation and WWF

23rd March

Quite awhile ago, Crown Princess Mary become part of the Maternity Foundation. She become patron of the foundation. As patron, she has attended several different meetings, conferences, etc. But, she has also contributed to the foundation's new book "It must not cost life to give life". The Crown Princess wrote the preface.

The book was realized in the Autumn last year on occasion of the foundations 15th anniversary. Until now, the Crown Princess has not been able to have a copy of the book due to the circumstances of the pandemic.

Crown Princess Mary happily welcomed Henriette Svare Nielsen and Anna Frellsen, who handed over the book to the Crown Princess. They work to reduce death among mothers and new borns in third world countries. The core of the Maternity Foundation.

Later that day, Crown Princess Mary also met with the Secretary-General Bo Øksnebjerg from the WWF World Wide Fund for Nature - which the Crown Princess is now President of. Bo Øksnebjerg informed the Crown Princess on the foundations work to preserve and restore nature and wildlife through, among other things, campaigns and partnerships with many different companies. Both national and international.

At both meetings, Mary wore the same lovely outfit: a white wool-blend blouse and a pleated black skirt. She has already worn the CO blouse on quite a few occasions. Among others, when she was on a business promotion trip in Paris last year (here). Mary was also wearing it when she attended Rødding Højskole's 175th anniversary in November 2019 (here). Meeting with the Maternity Foundation and later Bo Øksnebjerg, she has chosen to wear this lovely blouse with an old pleated skirt. It has still not been identified.

Mary accessorized her stunning look with black glasses from Tom Ford and black ankle boots from Gianvito Rossi. I kinda like the idea of wearing a midi skirt with visible boots. Would you ever wear this combo? She also embraced the outfit with white pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a few bracelets from the same talented designer. I also see her golden Cartier bangle.

I really like how this outfit. I am not sure it would fit me personally very well, but Mary made it work with perfection. Sometimes black and white are not easy colors to combine, but this way it differently does.

The Women's Board Award 2020

31st January

For quite a few year now Crown Princess Mary has attended the presentation of a very special and unique award: the Women's Board Award. It is given to the most talented female board member of the year. With the award...... This year, the event was themed "Sustainable Leadership".

She arrived in a really splendid mood. I wonder if she is happy to be back on duty? Well, I imagine she has enough to handle with everything, while staying in Verbier with the rest of the family. Nevertheless, the Crown Princess was warmly welcomed with lots of smiles, handshakes and of course a bouquet of flowers.

The Crown Princess handed over the award since 2015 and knew very well, what was suppose to happen. She entered the stage and gave a few words on occasion of the presentation. At the same time she announced that board member of FLSmidth, Finansiel Stabilitet, Bavarian Nordic and TopDanmark, Anne Louise Eberhard is this years recipient. Congratulations to Anne Louise Eberhard with receiving this prestigious award. She was given the award because of her holistic way of working out long-term strategies for the various companies.

Mary is usually a cause of stir, so was she attending the Women's Board Award 2020 in Copenhagen on Friday. A strong woman, handing over an award to another powerful woman. We have already seen her wear some pretty incredible outfits at this event. Maybe you remember in 2016, when Mary showed up in a fitted Prada dress and burgundy accessories, here? And what about last years smashing look, here? That was when she paired a chic tweed jacket with a black pleated skirt. I am sure you remember clear as day.

This year, she had then chosen her outstanding light brown skirt from Giuliva Heritage Collection. It was first worn at a private event in last year, when the Crown Prince Couple attended the opening of "Celestial Choreography" - a photo exhibition by Prince Nikolaos of Greece, here. Later, Mary stunned in the exact same skirt when visiting Rødding Højskole on occasion of their 175th anniversary, here. At the Women's Board Award she embraced the style by wearing a brand new CO blouse. Similar to the white one worn when visiting Rødding Højskole. It was identified by Heaven.

Mary also wore quite a few interesting jewellery: diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe, three different golden bracelets created by Dulong Fine Jewelry, another one from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and a fifth iconic bracelet from Cartier. Maybe you also noticed a couple of rings. With who I know, one is from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a second one a diamond band from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The third one is still unknown to me. Again, it could be her wedding ring "replacement". From what I hear her engagement ring and wedding ring are getting cleaned.

Once again, she wore her quality Quidam leather clutch and brand new suede heeled boots. I have still not been able to identify them, but keep an eye out there and let me know what you see, hear and find. Personally, I am crazy about this out. Aren't you?

Rødding Højskole's 175th anniversary

07 November

Crown Princess Mary arrived in a splendid mood and was warmly welcomed in Rødding where she was about to attend the 175th birthday anniversary of Rødding Højskole. This makes it one of the oldest folk high school in Denmark. Mads Rykind-Eriksen, the Principal of Rødding Højskole welcomed her with smiles and a friendly handshake. He was also the one showing her around the school.

Rødding Collage has always, and still is, all about education and formation which is based on Grundtvig's thoughts on life and public education. Nicolai Frederik Severin Grundtvig was, among other things, a Danish author, theologian, philosopher and pastor.

The anniversary was also celebrated with lots of speeches hel by Elsebeth Gerner Nielsen, Chairwoman of the Association of the Folk High Schools in Denmark and Principal, Mads Rykind-Eriksen and some of the students also entered the stage and shared a few words on occasion of the birthday celebration. The Crown Princess was also meeting with some of the students, who proudly showed her their current projects that they were working on.

She was one big smile while attending the birthday celebration of Rødding Højskole in Rødding. Mary had chosen the most wonderful and stylish outfit. The skirt was first worn earlier this year at a, more or less, private event - the opening of Prince Nikolaos of Greece's exhibition Celestial Choreography exhibited in Rundetårn in Copenhagen, here. At that time no one knew a thing about the woolen midi skirt, but we all loved it. Now Elena managed to identify the skirt. It comes from a brand called Giuliva Heritage Collection. The skirt is really an amazing match with the skirt. It is a Oscar de la Renta design as I assumed.

Mary embraced the chic outfit by wearing a reused knitted blouse from CO. It features the mode incredible details. Especially the neck and sleeves have made me want something like this too. One day I hope we will see her wear this blouse with a pair of wide-legged trousers. She also accessorized the looks with stunning white pearl jewellery - earrings and a bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry. That same designer created two of there other bracelets and that stunning diamond ring.

She was also wearing two other bracelets. The massive golden bangle is her love bracelet from Cartier and the second one is a delicate pieces featuring diamonds from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. To match the rest of her outfit Mary wore a beige ostrich clutch from Naledi Copenhagen and python pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Both pieces of accessory have been worn on several previous occasions. The rather large beaded brooch is still unidentified.

Day 3. Business promotion visit in Paris

09 October

It has been some really amazing days already for the Crown Prince Couple and for the rest of us following them on they visit in Paris. From October 7-9th the couple has been staying in Paris along with a Danish business delegation. The promotion visit was all about sharing ideas and knowledge about healthcare and energy.

Wednesday morning Crown Prince Frederik started the day by visiting Station F.  It is a campus for entrepreneurship. Here tech-companies are gathered to discuss development and realization of future projects. He was given a guided tour by Xavier Niel, the founder of Station F. Later on he visited the French Ministry of Economy and Finance.

While the Crown Prince, his wife payed a visit to a very special lady - Mrs. Brigitte Macron. The meeting took place at Lycée Lamartine (a school of general and technological education). One thing unique about the school is that it teaches Danish. So if any of you would like to learn Danish Lamartine is the place to go. Mrs. Macron and Crown Princess Mary have met before and it seems like the two of them are getting along really well. Anyway, it seems like they enjoyed each others company visiting Lycée Lamartine. The Danish Girls Choir, who entertained the previous night at the City Hall, had also found their way to the French school.

For her to wear that berry burgundy color is a clear sign to me that Fall has arrived. And it has. The weather in Denmark is everything from sunny, rainy and windy - also at the same time. Fortunately the weather was way better in Paris. Still Mary had chosen darker colors and heavier fabrics. She embraced a great outfit by wearing a knitted CO blouse and a red tweed skirt from Alexander McQueen. Both pieces have been seen on previous occasions before, but never together. I kinda like how this look turned out. Love the combo of different fabrics.

She styled her rather simple outfit with lots of incredible jewellery and other accessories. I really like when she wears all these delicate jewellery. Makes it more casual. The stunning golden diamond earrings are from Sophie Bille Brahe. Two out of three bracelets are created by Dulong Fine Jewelry, while the last one is her golden bangle from Cartier. Mary also stunned wearing two rings - one from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and the other one is a Dulong Fine Jewelry design.

For sure you noticed how she matched skirt, clutch and pumps, right? Love when she makes these color-combos. Both the suede Hugo Boss clutch and Gianvito Rossi pumps are old. The pumps was first worn at DANSK Design Talent - The Magasin Prize in 2016, here. Mary wore the pumps with her Stine Goya evening gown. The clutch goes back to 2015 at the opening of the 14th World Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care, here.

Visiting Vibenhus School

03 April

In the afternoon, Crown Princess Mary arrived to Vibenhus School in Copenhagen. She was warmly welcomed by hundreds of children, who were all smily faces. Think the warm welcomed kinda surprised her and made her happy. The Crown Princess visited Vibenhus School on occasion of a Free of Bullying-event made in collaboration between the Mary Foundation and Save the Children.

More than 200 children participated the event along with Crown Princess Mary and Helle Østergaard, CEO of the Mary Foundation. Visiting Vibenhus School was all about good ethic online. HipSomHap (a sining duo) presented a brand new song about being a good friend on the internet. The message of the song is part of the Free of Bullying-project used by educators and teachers to strengthen children's social skills and good community online.

The Crown Princess also had the chance to try out a computergame (guided by some children), withness a small concert and surrounded by children, she enjoyed the new song by HipSomHap. During the entire visit, she one big smile. I truly think they all enjoyed themselves celebrating a new fase of the Mary Foundation's Free of Bullying-project.

As her bobbly and friendly mood Mary showed up at Vibenhus School in Copenhagen wearing the most printed and colorful Valentino skirt. If that does not make you happy; I do not know what can. All the colors and prints are just wonderful on a day like this. She has worn the skirt once before with a black top and a pink jacket. On Wednesday Mary had chosen a white wool sweater from CO. Also seen before. Matching the rest of her outfit is that Aquazzura boots. Wish they were more visible, and not hidden underneath maxi skirts all the time. Still it looks great.

Wish my hair was like that. All curly and voluminous. Like the length and color on her. The hairstyle is half of the accessories in my opinion. As other accessories Mary embraced the style by wearing golden earrings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. These were first worn at the Medal of Honor dinner for Navy Officers, here. The are similar in style as her Winter Frost earrings, here. Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen also created the two diamond rings. I also see two golden bracelets - one from Cartier and another one from Dulong Fine Jewelry. I'd wear this look in an instant - no matter day and time. Would you?

The opening of "Celestial Choreography"

01 March

It was a big day for Crown Prince Frederik's cousin Prince Nikolaos of Greece, when his close family arrived to Rundetårn in Copenhagen to attend the opening of "Celestial Choreography".

"Celestial Choreography" is a photo exhibition exhibited from March 2nd to 31st. The exhibition shows "the heavenly choreography" portrayed by Prince Nikolaos himself. He will also talk about his techniques of photography and some thoughts about the motives on March 5th at a gathering called Tower Talk.

Before all this takes place he shared his special moment with friends and family a day ahead. Both Queen Anne-Marie, Princess Benedikte, Princess Alexia, Princess Alexandra and Countess Ingrid attended the grand opening. Also Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary showed their support by attending.

Getting ready to congratulate Prince Nikolaos with yet another photo exhibition Mary had chosen a very chic, but surprising outfit. She embraced the style by wearing a white sweater and a beige midi skirt. Both pieces are brand new. Heaven actually managed to identify Mary's new wool sweater as CO. It turns out that Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway wore the exact same one at a public event in 2018, here. Both women matched it with a midi skirt - and it works. It turns out that her new midi skirt is from Giuliva Heritage Collection. It was identify by Elena.

Those colorful suede boots was first seen when she, unofficially, was spotted at a Birger Christensen fashion show a month ago, here. At that time we didn't get to see much. But on March 1st she showed a little more. Turns out it is high suede boots with a pointed toe in some kind of burgundy color. Heaven suggests Aquazzura as a possible brand for Mary's suede boots and I think she is absolutely right.

Mary also accessorized her outfit with a long necklace from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, a few bracelets from (among others) Cartier and diamond earrings. I am sure you also noticed that checkered box clutch, right? The clutch has never really been identified. I always had Prada in mind because of the similarity of this and this. I hope for some closeup's to get a better look at her outfit. Tell me: do you like what you see?
