12 October
On Tuesday, the Crown Princess attended a very special event: the International Day of the Girl 2021 organized by PlanBørnefonden. An event that aim to increase awareness of those problems girls handle every day because of their gender. This years area of focus was the crisis in the Sahel region of West Africa - therefor the name "#GirlsInCrisis: The lost girls in Sahel".
The Crown Princess also attended the International Day of the Girls Child last year (here).
Crown Princess Mary arrived to Nærum Gymnasium and was then welcomed by Fleming Møller Mortensen. He is the Minister for Development Cooperation and Minister for Nordic Cooperation. He was accompanied by Chairman of the Board of PlanBørnefonden Stine Bosse and Niels Hjølund, School leader of Nærum Gymnasium.
During her visit, she was introduced to the gymnasium's sponser wall. An initiative by Make A Change - a school committee at Nærum Gymnasium.
The International Day of the Girl Child has caught much attention and was closely followed by school's all over Denmark thought a livestream.

Monochrome outfits are always grey go-to's. They work every single time and are it makes a great statement. That is what Mary had chosen, when she attended the International Day of the Girls Child 2021 at Nærum Gymnasium on October 12.
The lovely black blouse is a reuse from CO. She first wore it at the Women's Board Award in 2020 (here). Back then, she embraced the style of the blouse with a light brown midi skirt. At the event in Nærum, she styled it with a simple black a-line skirt. To me, it looks brand new.
Usually, I would talk about jewellery at this point but today I fell talking about shoes first. What do you think of her new boots? Personally, I really like them but I am not quite sure they look that good with a long skirt. Think it makes her shorter and then it is a bit clumsy. The boots are from Gianvito Rossi.
Now for her other accessoires. The stunning long collier is a design by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I adore their jewellery. This necklace is no exception. It is simply stunning. The golden Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings are also great for this outfit. Then I see three golden bracelets. Her beloved Cartier bangle, a new Dulong Fine Jewelry favourite and a third one from Rebekka Notkin. Mary was also wearing a rather large ring on her right hand featuring a light green stone. I have identified it as a new ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry.
