7 October
We all know about Copenhagen Fashion Summit. Something Crown Princess Mary has attended every year since 2009 because of her role as patron. CFS+ was established the same year and is an extension of the original Copenhagen Fashion Summit. Due to the pandemic, CFS+ became a digital summit, but still focusing on sustainable fashion and a more sustainable fashion industry.
As both patron of Copenhagen Fashion Summit and the Global Fashion Agenda, Crown Princess Mary participated the opening of this years CFS+. She even gave the opening speech. The Crown Princess was "accompanied" by key representative from all over the world.
These representatives represent both NGO's, different medias, politicians - all part of the global fashion industry, all interested in finding more sustainable solutions for the fashion industry.
I guess her speech was recorded on October 5th. The same day as when she attended a meeting with WWF World Wild Fund for Nature (here). Think that is the case because she wore the exact same outfit for the two events. When recording the speech, we got a closer and clearer look at was Mary was (more specifically) wore.
Mary has matched her dark red Alexander McQueen blazer with a simple black blouse and trousers. A very professional and chic look. A really great outfit for the occasion. Not too little, nor too laud. She embraced this lovely look with golden diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe, a Cartier bangle and one of her Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond rings.
At first the shoes tricked me. She has so many of these black boots such as ankle boots, but now I am sure she was wearing her old Gianvito Rossi ankle boots. I get why she loves wearing them. I have one pair of Gianvito Rossi pumps and they are incredibly comfortable to wear - even with a 10 cm heel and being totally untrained for months wearing heeled shoes.
