Child Welfare Day 2024

05 November 2024

Queen Mary attended the Child Welfare Day's award ceremony as patron of the Children Welfare Day at Copenhagen City Hall.

The Child Welfare Day has worked to help and strengthen placed children and young people in Denmark since 1904. This makes them Denmark's oldest humanitarian organisations. With projects, activities, camps, etc. the organisation give children and young people a quality of life and better prerequisites for mastering life.

Queen Mary handed over the Child Welfare Day's "This year's support" to Eva Riedel and Children's Welfare Day's Little Brother Award for "Effort of the Year" to Kevin Pedersen.

I am crazy in love with Mary's outfit at the Child Welfare Day! The colors are magical. It is no secret that I love the colors following autumn. Mary had chosen an ooolllldd brown suede jacket from Prada. Did you know that she first wore it in 2005 when visiting New York? The perfect example of "fashion never goes out of style". She matched the jacket with a beautiful dusty blouse and her Giuliva Heritage Collection skirt. It must be super comfortable to wear.

It is blouse new?

Love the twist with those leopard pumps from Gianvito Rossi. I am not a huge fan of anything animal printed. Nevertheless, I always look one more time when she is wearing these pumps. It is classy, right?

I really like how she wore 'understated' pieces of jewellery. Fine and elegant golden diamond earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a smashing ring from Rebekka Notkin. Mary also wore two beloved golden bangles. They are still a mystery to me.

The Women's Board Award 2020

31st January

For quite a few year now Crown Princess Mary has attended the presentation of a very special and unique award: the Women's Board Award. It is given to the most talented female board member of the year. With the award...... This year, the event was themed "Sustainable Leadership".

She arrived in a really splendid mood. I wonder if she is happy to be back on duty? Well, I imagine she has enough to handle with everything, while staying in Verbier with the rest of the family. Nevertheless, the Crown Princess was warmly welcomed with lots of smiles, handshakes and of course a bouquet of flowers.

The Crown Princess handed over the award since 2015 and knew very well, what was suppose to happen. She entered the stage and gave a few words on occasion of the presentation. At the same time she announced that board member of FLSmidth, Finansiel Stabilitet, Bavarian Nordic and TopDanmark, Anne Louise Eberhard is this years recipient. Congratulations to Anne Louise Eberhard with receiving this prestigious award. She was given the award because of her holistic way of working out long-term strategies for the various companies.

Mary is usually a cause of stir, so was she attending the Women's Board Award 2020 in Copenhagen on Friday. A strong woman, handing over an award to another powerful woman. We have already seen her wear some pretty incredible outfits at this event. Maybe you remember in 2016, when Mary showed up in a fitted Prada dress and burgundy accessories, here? And what about last years smashing look, here? That was when she paired a chic tweed jacket with a black pleated skirt. I am sure you remember clear as day.

This year, she had then chosen her outstanding light brown skirt from Giuliva Heritage Collection. It was first worn at a private event in last year, when the Crown Prince Couple attended the opening of "Celestial Choreography" - a photo exhibition by Prince Nikolaos of Greece, here. Later, Mary stunned in the exact same skirt when visiting Rødding Højskole on occasion of their 175th anniversary, here. At the Women's Board Award she embraced the style by wearing a brand new CO blouse. Similar to the white one worn when visiting Rødding Højskole. It was identified by Heaven.

Mary also wore quite a few interesting jewellery: diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe, three different golden bracelets created by Dulong Fine Jewelry, another one from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and a fifth iconic bracelet from Cartier. Maybe you also noticed a couple of rings. With who I know, one is from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a second one a diamond band from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The third one is still unknown to me. Again, it could be her wedding ring "replacement". From what I hear her engagement ring and wedding ring are getting cleaned.

Once again, she wore her quality Quidam leather clutch and brand new suede heeled boots. I have still not been able to identify them, but keep an eye out there and let me know what you see, hear and find. Personally, I am crazy about this out. Aren't you?

Rødding Højskole's 175th anniversary

07 November

Crown Princess Mary arrived in a splendid mood and was warmly welcomed in Rødding where she was about to attend the 175th birthday anniversary of Rødding Højskole. This makes it one of the oldest folk high school in Denmark. Mads Rykind-Eriksen, the Principal of Rødding Højskole welcomed her with smiles and a friendly handshake. He was also the one showing her around the school.

Rødding Collage has always, and still is, all about education and formation which is based on Grundtvig's thoughts on life and public education. Nicolai Frederik Severin Grundtvig was, among other things, a Danish author, theologian, philosopher and pastor.

The anniversary was also celebrated with lots of speeches hel by Elsebeth Gerner Nielsen, Chairwoman of the Association of the Folk High Schools in Denmark and Principal, Mads Rykind-Eriksen and some of the students also entered the stage and shared a few words on occasion of the birthday celebration. The Crown Princess was also meeting with some of the students, who proudly showed her their current projects that they were working on.

She was one big smile while attending the birthday celebration of Rødding Højskole in Rødding. Mary had chosen the most wonderful and stylish outfit. The skirt was first worn earlier this year at a, more or less, private event - the opening of Prince Nikolaos of Greece's exhibition Celestial Choreography exhibited in Rundetårn in Copenhagen, here. At that time no one knew a thing about the woolen midi skirt, but we all loved it. Now Elena managed to identify the skirt. It comes from a brand called Giuliva Heritage Collection. The skirt is really an amazing match with the skirt. It is a Oscar de la Renta design as I assumed.

Mary embraced the chic outfit by wearing a reused knitted blouse from CO. It features the mode incredible details. Especially the neck and sleeves have made me want something like this too. One day I hope we will see her wear this blouse with a pair of wide-legged trousers. She also accessorized the looks with stunning white pearl jewellery - earrings and a bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry. That same designer created two of there other bracelets and that stunning diamond ring.

She was also wearing two other bracelets. The massive golden bangle is her love bracelet from Cartier and the second one is a delicate pieces featuring diamonds from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. To match the rest of her outfit Mary wore a beige ostrich clutch from Naledi Copenhagen and python pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Both pieces of accessory have been worn on several previous occasions. The rather large beaded brooch is still unidentified.

The opening of "Celestial Choreography"

01 March

It was a big day for Crown Prince Frederik's cousin Prince Nikolaos of Greece, when his close family arrived to Rundetårn in Copenhagen to attend the opening of "Celestial Choreography".

"Celestial Choreography" is a photo exhibition exhibited from March 2nd to 31st. The exhibition shows "the heavenly choreography" portrayed by Prince Nikolaos himself. He will also talk about his techniques of photography and some thoughts about the motives on March 5th at a gathering called Tower Talk.

Before all this takes place he shared his special moment with friends and family a day ahead. Both Queen Anne-Marie, Princess Benedikte, Princess Alexia, Princess Alexandra and Countess Ingrid attended the grand opening. Also Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary showed their support by attending.

Getting ready to congratulate Prince Nikolaos with yet another photo exhibition Mary had chosen a very chic, but surprising outfit. She embraced the style by wearing a white sweater and a beige midi skirt. Both pieces are brand new. Heaven actually managed to identify Mary's new wool sweater as CO. It turns out that Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway wore the exact same one at a public event in 2018, here. Both women matched it with a midi skirt - and it works. It turns out that her new midi skirt is from Giuliva Heritage Collection. It was identify by Elena.

Those colorful suede boots was first seen when she, unofficially, was spotted at a Birger Christensen fashion show a month ago, here. At that time we didn't get to see much. But on March 1st she showed a little more. Turns out it is high suede boots with a pointed toe in some kind of burgundy color. Heaven suggests Aquazzura as a possible brand for Mary's suede boots and I think she is absolutely right.

Mary also accessorized her outfit with a long necklace from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, a few bracelets from (among others) Cartier and diamond earrings. I am sure you also noticed that checkered box clutch, right? The clutch has never really been identified. I always had Prada in mind because of the similarity of this and this. I hope for some closeup's to get a better look at her outfit. Tell me: do you like what you see?
