Every fourth year on February 29th, a very special day is celebrated - the Rare Day (Sjældnedagen). This specific day is part os the Rare Diseases organisation and is invented as a day of attention for everybody who lived with a rare disease or disability.
The Rare Prize is also handed over on Rare Day to a person, institution or organisation that has done something special for people with rare diseases in Denmark.
As patron of Rare Diseases, Crown Princess Mary made a statement shared on occasion of Rare Day 2020.
