Conference on gender equality and health

Tuesday, December 11th

On December 6th and 7th the Crown Prince couple visited Latvia for the celebration of Latvia's 100 years being an independant state, here, here. The following day on December 8th the Crown Princess attended the Danish Music Conservatory's Children's Choirs Christmas concert, here with her family.

Tuesday morning Crown Princess Mary then attended a conference arranged by Sex og Samfund, Investeringsfonden for Udviklingslande (IFU) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The conference was entitled 'Responsibility and profitability: Gender equality and women's health for companies and investors' and focuses business development through equality and health for women in the private sector. Eigtveds Pakhus in Copenhagen housed the conference.

The Crown Princess was in a splendid mood while attending the conference. It was a great opportunity for all attending the conference to share knowledge, visions, goals and experiences. Crown Princess Mary captured everything beautifully in her speech. Take a minute and read what she had to say, here.

Getting ready to spend a day talking about gender equality and women's health in the private sector Mary had chosen to wear a comfortable and chic outfit. This is a look that is quite easy to copy if you like to. Mary matched a pair of black trousers with a turtleneck and a brands new floral blazer. I do not know who identified it first, but I learned about her new blazer here. It has been found at SAND Copenhagen.

At the arrival she showed one of her good old pieces - her black Prada coat. Mary had also chosen another old goodie - that black leather bag from Bottega Veneta. Proves that things never go out of style. As other accessories she embraced the style by wearing pendant earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and two golden bracelets from the same designer. I also see her Cartier bangle

Trying to identify her footwear I have come to the conclusion that she is wearing pointed black boots. Right? With only one picture it is all about guesswork. I suggest that Mary wore a pair of Gianvito Rossi boots. Those worn when she received 'the Danish Speakers' speaker prize' a month ago, here. Think I could be right about the boots? Let me know what you think and of course; tell me what you think about her outfit from the conference.

New year concert with the Home Guard

Tuesday, January 9th

The Crown Princess arrived in a splendid mood for a new year concert at Copenhagen City Hall on Tuesday. For ten years the Danish Home Guard has hosted this new year event. When arrived the Crown Princess was welcomed by Colonel Lennie Fredskov. She was also handed over a bouquet of flowers. Later, the flower girl told a journalist how much fun it was to meet the future queen. After a quick pose for the photographers, she entered a beautifully decorated room where the concert was about to take place. More than 500 Home Guard members also attended the concert. All of them were dressed to perfection in each their uniform. The Crown Princess herself is also member of the Danish voluntary military organisation.

I had no idea what to expect from her outfit at this event. Somehow I thought we would see trousers. I was wrong. Mary showed up wearing a beautiful, floral printed Julie Fagerholt Heartmade dress. We have seen the dress once before on September 1st, when she visited BørneTelefonen, here. So, now we have both seen it with and without a coat. At the concert she dazzled wearing her Prada coat. Mary embraced the evening look with a golden Orit Elhanati necklace, coral pendant earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I have been a little trouble with her pumps. Took my many different angles to finally realize that they in fact are from SAND Copenhagen -and not Gianvito Rossi as I first thought. Everything is completely different when we talk about the clutch. No doubt its identity. It is Bottega Veneta. Keeping everything classy with a simple hairstyle and natural makeup, Mary stunned like a star in the night.

Inauguration of the Hempel College

Wednesday, September 13th

The Crown Princess visited Lyngby to attend the inauguration of 200 new students housing residents, also called the Hempel College. These new students residents are for both Danish students and exchange students. The Crown Princess was in a great mood, despite the rain, when she first arrived to Lyngby Campus where she was warmly welcomed. She was, among others, welcomed by Rector of DTU Anders O. Bjarklev and Chairman of the Hempel Foundation Richard Sand, who both gladly offered the Crown Princess a spot under their umbrella. The rain just seemed to make her laugh. After the arrival several speeches were given and the Crown Princess listened with great interest. As part of the official opening, she released no less than 200 green balloons followed by a guided tour around the new facilities. Seems like everyone were having a great time.

Often when it's rainy and/or windy, she has bare legs and is wearing no jacket. For that I admire her even more. So that really what I expected to when Mary attended the inauguration, but I was wrong. Instead she had chosen black tight trousers, a (new?) creamy white blouse featuring some pretty amazing details and... a brand new checkered coat. First, lets talk about the blouse. Have we seen it before? -I don't believe we have. The style seems familiar to me but still I haven't been able to identify where it is from. Any ideas? For sure the checkered coat is the piece that caught everybody's attention. I learned from royalty_wardrobe that it's from the Danish designer Baum und Pferdgarten. A really classy 80s inspired double breasted "blazer-coat". Mary embraced the style by wearing golden earrings and a necklace from Dulong Fine Jewelry and her golden one from Orit Elhanati -a combination she has worn a lot late. A combo I really enjoy. She matched all of this with her black pointed from SAND Copenhagen.

The world premiere of Jaha’s Promise

Thursday, March 16th

Crown Princess Mary attended the world premiere of the international documentary Jaha's Promise at Grand Theatre, Copenhagen.

As one of the most prominent key note speakers of girls and women's right and health, this was the perfect event for the Crown Princess to attend. For many year Mary has been committed to improve rights and health solutions for girls and women all over the world. Then, on Thursday, she attended the world premiere of the international documentary Jaha's Promise at Grand Theatre in Copenhagen. The documentary deals with topics as circumcision and child marriages another area Mary has worked with on several occasions. Jaha Dukureh, another leading figure on this topic, also attended the premiere along with her daughter, such as the documentary's instructor did. The two women have met before on a previous occasions. Mary watch the documentary next to Jaha and her daughter.

Important events takes powerful outfit. At the international world premiere, Mary was dressed in a plain black suit. Long tight trousers and a rather long Zara blazer featuring some incredibly interesting seams. This new black blazer has been identified by Kate. At first I was not even sure if it was new or one of her old blazer. But now when it has been found at Zara it is clear that it's new. Another piece that is differently new, worn at the premiere, is the lace blouse underneath. The first designer that came to me was Heartmade Julie Fagerholt and now it has been found from their spring/summer 2014 collection, here. So far I haven't been able to track down a stock picture of the blouse and I really hope one of you are able to help me. I really look forward to hear about your findings! She accessorized her classy business look with black pearl earrings and a matching ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The grey Quidam clutch was a great way to make sure that everything about her outfit isn't just black -the same goes with the lace blouse. Ever though about the fact that Mary always wears blouses as this one, when she is wearing suits? Last but not least, she wore her black pointed SAND Copenhagen pumps.

The Brain Awareness Week 2017

Monday, March 13th

Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of The Brain Awareness Week 2017 held each year in week 11. The Brain Awareness Week focuses on the brain, brain diseases and brain research.

Crown Princess Mary arrived, accompanied by her lady-in-waiting, at Copenhagen University to attend the annual opening of The Brain Awareness Week 2017. Mary has attended the event several times before which, by the way, is always held in week 11. The brain awareness week aim to inform about the brain, brain diseases and brain research. It is as patron of Hjernesagen and Hjerneskadeforeningen that Mary attended the opening. Professor Leif Østergaard gave a lecture entitled The Fantastic Brain which obviously caught the Crown Princess' attention who listened with great interest, from first raw, during the lecture. From what I see Mary was in a splendid mood during the opening ceremony of this year's Brain Awareness Week. Hopefully she learned something new, useful in her future work.

Lately we have seen quite many new pieces; both clothing's and accessories. Actually it is kinda nice to see something reused again. Everything about her outfit from the opening of the Brain Awareness Week 2017 on Monday, are all reused -clothes as well as accessories. Each day the weather is getting better and better. We even see the sun now and then. Despite that, Mary had chosen an almost plain black outfit. And really the weather is not ready for pastel colours quite yet. But very soon I hope we will see her in light and bright colours and patterns again. As told before, everything about Mary's outfit are reused. I have never been able to find out where the jacket is from, as the only piece worn at the opening. She embraced the style by wearing her printed Hugo Boss pencil skirt, here, and black pointed SAND Copenhagen (and not L.K. Bennett) pumps as well as the black Carlend Copenhagen clutch. The jacket was belted with a Céline belt. These thin belts are iconic when talking about the Crown Princess' style. As the rest of the outfit, she only wore a pair of white pearl earrings and a matching ring made by Dulong Fine Jewelry. There is really no bad time for white pearl jewellery. Absolutely adore her 70s curly hairstyle. Magnificent look!

The Women's Board Award 2017

Friday, January 27th
Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of the Women's Board Award 2017 taking place at Frederiksberg, Copenhagen.

No doubt that I really enjoyed following the state visit from Iceland earlier this week. It was a true pleasure watching the Crown Prince couple spending time with the Icelandic Presidential couple. We also got a gala dinner and some lovely pictures of Mary and the First Lady enjoying some time together. Some really great days! Now the Crown Princess is back, attending the presentation of this years Women's Board Award 2017 which has been handed over since 2014. It is the third time the Crown Princess is there to present the prestigious award which this year was given to TDC's executive director Pernille Erenbjerg. A huge and laud congratulation from me to Pernille with the award. Afterwards Mary and all the other invited guests attended a reception on occasion of the award show.

Well, well, well. I see that many opinions have already been shared on what the Crown Princess wore at the Women's Board Award 2017. I know about a week or so have gone sine the award was handed over, but still. What do my readers think about Mary's green and black outfit? I am completely in love with her new black cape. Everything about it is just perfect. I really want a black cape myself now! I have had different designers in mind, but none of them seems to be the right one. Then Kate and Heaven share a model with me from By Malina and I think they have managed to find the one we are looking for which now has also been confirmed. I can't wait to see her wear it again! The cape was worn over her green L.K. Bennett silk dress. An amazing dress and I really like it with the new black cape. She belted the outfit with her brown Céline belt. I am crazy in love with her outfit! She accessorized it with white pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, the beautiful golden Cartier bracelet and of course her diamond bracelet from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Looking completely stunning in her rather simple outfit, she embrace the style with a black Quidam clutch and of course black pumps from SAND CopenhagenI only need three words to describe Mary's award show outfit: minimalistic, elegant and chic. Sorry to say girls, but I can't get why anyone dislike this.

Christmas (Eve)

Saturday, December 24th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a Christmas service in Aarhus cathedral along with all four children. The Queen, Prince Henrik such as Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attended the service with their their children.

It has been a tradition for me and my grandfather to go to church every year on Christmas eve; something we have been doing the last 15 or 16 years I think. As this is a tradition for me, it is for the Danish royal family. Each year as good as everyone in the family are going to church on December 24th -the day where Christmas is celebrated in Denmark. I'm sure some of you might have the same tradition. Well, Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik had invited their family to this Christmas service which took place in Aarhus cathedral because the family is celebrating Christmas to Marselisborg castle this year. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended in a great mood along with all four children. Also Prince Joachim and Princess Marie were present accompanied by their two children Prince Henrik and Princess Athena. Prince Joachim's two oldest son's, Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix also enjoyed an hour or so along with their family. Everybody seemed to be in a splendid mood!

Christmas eve is differently one of my favourites because you get to wear one of your most beloved (and dazzling) outfits. We rarely see what Mary is wearing a such private occasions, but still we got a glimpse of her because of the service in Aarhus, though it's not must. No doubt that she was keeping warm in one of her lovely grey wool coats - still unidentified. In a few photos we get a glimpse of what she is wearing underneath. To me it looks like a brand new burgundy dress featuring a turtleneck. A closer look at some pictures I so sure it's not lace but a glitter dress. I am still having trouble finding the right one. No ideas?

This she had matched with diamond earrings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, black tights, a black Quidam clutch and of course her incredible black SAND Copenhagen pointed pumps. I also see what I believe is a new brooch from Marni. Can't tell where it's from. Simple, yet very elegant. Perfect for Christmas eve. As the rest of her outfit, Mary's makeup and hairstyle were simple and polished.

Saturday, December 24th

The most wonderful photo has been shared of Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik and their eight grandchildren. I was taken on Christmas eve in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. The whole family were gathered at Marselisborg castle. From what I see in this one photo, I am sure they had a great evening together.

Well then, Merry Christmas from the royal family!

Sunday, December 25th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended Christmas service on December 25th taking place in Aarhus cathedral. Prince Christian and Princess Isabella attended as well, such as the Queen, Prince Henrik and Prince Joachim and Princess Marie.

Another tradition the royal have is to go to church the day after Christmas eve on December 25th. It was also the case this year. Something like this does not change which I think it just great. Like the day before Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik were present accompanied by their two son's and their part part of their families, because only Prince Christian his sister Princess Isabella, Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix attended the Christmas service. The Queen and her husband warmly welcomed the family members at the arrival. Think they had a great time together. Wonder what it feels like to attend a service the same day, in the same church as the royal family? I wouldn't mind trying that. This only makes me even more excited about it's soon time to celebrate New Year's eve! -with big dressed, tiaras and grand ball! Let it soon be December 31st.

First thing I noticed when I saw pictures from the service, was that Frederik and Mary were dressed in matching outwear. Both in grey. Splendid match. Such as Prince Joachim and Princess Marie were in matching coats. Well-dressed men and their wife's! Mary was a bit more simple than the evening before, which of course is understandable. This time she was in a dark grey turtleneck blouse featuring long sleeves and a pair of black trousers. I think it is her black suede ankle boots from Prada she's wearing to match the trousers. Very elegant and sophisticated she embraced the style with a pair of diamond earrings from Hartmann's as well as a pair of diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

Thursday, December 29th

Only one thing was missing to make the perfect Christmas and that is of course a royal Christmas card from Frederik and Mary. I'm alway thrilled to see which picture they have chosen to become this years Christmas card photo and it is just a lovely, here. All four children smiling and having fun! Wearing shorts and short sleeved blouses that may indicate it was taken during the summer. Maybe you even remember this is not the first time we get a Christmas card where the family sits on that couch. In 2010, before the twins were born, we got this incredible photos of Frederik and Mary along with Prince Christian and Princess Isabella sitting on the very same couch, here

"Kærlig Talt" Conference

Tuesday, November 8th

Crown Princess Mary attended the "Kærlig Talt" conference organized by the Mary Foundation taking place at GAME Copenhagen, Copenhagen.

It was in a splendid mood the Crown Princess arrived to GAME Copenhagen to attend the Kærlig Talt conference trying to strengthen healthy relationships and respectful communications among the older pupils The conference is on the initiative of the Mary Foundation as part of their projects to prevent dating violence which Kærlig Talt is all about. As a perfect start Mary gave a speech, here, specially on emotions and how we sometimes need to keep them under control. Very impressive speech I strongly recommend you to read. It was a day filled with reflection, dialogue and a day were both experiences and thoughts were shared. Exercises, dialogue, bodily expression and musical indulgence was the message passed on about how important communication is.

As the participants of the conference were indulged with music features and much more, we were totally spoiled when it comes to her outfit! A new a fresh fall outfit. I'm totally in love with everything I see -the blouse, skirt, hair everything looks magnificent! It was a Royals & Fashion I learned about her new white lace blouse and burdungy suede skirt which are respectively from Aiayu and JOSEPH. What surprised me most is differently that new skirt, a bit unusual but soooo stylish. Very refreshing to see her wear something never really seen before. The blouse features the most beautiful buttoned back, long sleeves and turtle neck. It's made of 70 % wool which makes it more than perfect for the Danish weather. What first comes to my mind about this specific outfit, is that it looks so harmonious. I am more than impressed. Matching the tights and black SAND Copenhagen pumps Mary wore a Prada coat at the arrival. It was accessorized with amazing earrings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and a stunning ring I still do not know where is from. Another thing I noticed was her makeup -fresh and good looking. Incredibly beautiful.

Day 1. With the Mary Foundation to Greenland

Monday, August 29th

Crown Princess Mary has traveled to Greenland with the Mary Foundation from August 29-31st on occasion of the conference 'Domestic violence - a shared responsibility'.
Princessesblog76.blogspot.com

Crown Princess Mary arriving to Nuuk

From August 29-31st the Crown Princess was visiting Greenland as chairwoman of the Mary Foundation to see for herself how, among others, a Greenlandic day care center work with 'the Free of Bullying-program'. She was also attending a conference on domestic violence - a problematic issue in Greenland. The conference took place the following day. On her way to Greenland the royal family published a video of the Crown Princess. Here she talks about commitment to the conference and about her expectations prier to the visit. She arrived along with CEO of the Mary Foundation, Helle Østergaard.

At the arrival Mary wore a brand new coat. At first I was sure it was a gift on behalf of her visit. Then I learned that it is in fact a creation made by by Danish Jesper Høvring. It is from his collection 'Great Greenland' (collection: AW 2016). I have the information about her new coat made of sealskin at Royals & Fashion, here. This is how to keep warm and stay fashionable at the same time. Other than this incredible new coat, she was wearing a purple blouse (one I think we have seen before a couple of years ago) and a pair of black trousers. She styled this rather simple look with a brown Ralph Lauren bag, a long golden necklace and a pair of sunglasses. Her necklace could be from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I don't see her shoes. My guess would be ankle boots or black pumps. A great travel outfit.

Crown Princess Mary visited day care center 'Sikkersoq'

In Nuuk around noon Crown Princess Mary was welcome by children dressed in traditional Greenlandic national costumes. They all caught her attention. Along with the Mary Foundation's mascot, a purple teddy bear, the Crown Princess seemed to enjoy her day as much as all the children. Despite their young age, the children loved hers and was center of attention from the second she arrived. The successful visit was followed by a meeting with Department of Family, Gender Equality, Social Affairs and Justice. A great way for her to get an impression of the situation before attending a conference on the topic the following day.

Shortly after arriving to Nuuk the Crown Princess quickly changed clothes. Now she was ready to begin her first day in Greenland. I have no idea how the weather is in Nuuk but I was surprised to see Mary wearing a short sleeved blouse when everybody else were covering themselves in warm coats. Guess it is because she only spend very little time outside. Dressed in a brand new shirt from Hugo Boss (thanks to Royals & Fashion for the info) and a black short sleeved turtleneck, her outfit has a 60s vibe that always looks incredible. Two piece of clothes you can style in so many different ways. Mary matched the looks with black SAND Copenhagen pumps, quite a few bracelets from among others Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry, such a pair of diamonds studs - probably from Hartmann's.  Think her new necklace could be a gift.
At all time my eyes are drawn to her hair. That length looks just great on her. Can't wait to see some more elegant hairstyles like the one at the 825th anniversary in Glostrup, here. Think this outfit would do perfectly with a leather jacket for a night out or maybe a pair of flats at work. So many ways to create new looks.

Crown Princess Mary attended a meeting with the Departement and dinner in Hans Egedes House, Nuuk

After visiting Sikkersoq in Nuuk it was time for the Crown Princess to attend a meeting with the Greenlandic Departement. The department is an important collaborator of the Mary Foundations when working with Greenland. At the arrival she was warmly welcomed by Minister of Family, Gender Equality, Social Affairs and Justice, Martha Lund Olsen and Minister of Education, Culture, Research and Church, Nivi Olsen. All three women were in a splendid mood. I am sure they had plenty of time to share experiences and knowledge that can be helpful to all of them. The meeting was followed by at visit at a local shelter, also in Nuuk, where the Crown Princess spoke with both residents and employees. Around seven o'clock it was time for a dinner which took place at Hans Egedes House.

Am I the only one who would have loved to see her outfit without the coat? Thought it's really stunning. That golden Ganni dress is just incredible and looks great on her. I got it in my own closet. In reality it looks even more magnificent. An amazing dress that can cause a stir at all times. Would love to have seen how she wore it this time. But there is no doubt in my mind that it is in fact that dress she is wearing. Wonderful. The coat you already know all about - it is from Jesper Høvring (collection: Great Greenland AW 2016). Her dark grey Naledi Copenhagen clutch is not the perfect match next to her golden dress, but it do great with the sealskin coat. Match made in heaven? Again I spotted a golden Cartier bracelet such as several pieces from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Is she wearing earrings too? - yes, but the pictures are blurred and I can't tell anything more. Oh, of course I almost forgot mentioning the dazzling black Gianvito Rossi pointed pumps. I wouldn't mind having my own pair of Rossi pumps.

Meeting with Dr Zsuzanna Jakab

Tuesday, April 19th

Crown Princess Mary met with WHO Regional Director for Europe, Dr Zsuzanna Jakab discussing the ongoing collaboration.

A few days ago I received a tip from a friend who told me that the Crown Princess had attended at meeting with World Health Organization's Regional Director for Europe, Dr Zsuzanna Jakab on Tuesday April the 19th. It was vaccination, and the importance of preventing diseases with vaccination programs, which was on the agenda while discussion an ongoing collaboration such as the European Immunization Week. In the statement written by both the Crown Princess and Dr Zsuzanna Jakab, they sum up how incredible results the European Region has obtained, among others, maintained the status as polio free. As some kind of conclusion, the two prominent women think it is now time to identify new ways to measure and communicate the full impact and of course value of vaccination, saving lives and preventing diseases in the future. This meeting took place five days before the European Immunization Week 2016 took place from April 24-30th, which the Crown Princess and Dr Zsuzanna Jakab mentions as a time to celebrate, to reflect on the successes of vaccination and to consider the remaining challenges we are constantly facing.

Talking about fashion, I love to see how well-dressed Mary is when she is at work also without twenty photographers and journalists following each and one of her steps. Only one single photo has been published along with the statement, where she is standing next to World Health Organization's Regional Director for Europe, Dr Zsuzanna Jakab. One of her really old goodies that silky Prada  (collection: 2004) blouse featuring a significant watercolour pattern matched with a SAND Copenhagen 3/4 sleeved jacket are what she wore during the meeting. Beautifully, she accessorized her professional business outfit with black pearl jewellery from Dulong Fine Jewelry. A black pair of trousers and then my best guess would be some of her black pair of pumps to makes her outfit look complete.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary in Riyadh

Around ten am. the royal couple from Denmark were ready to begin a new day in Saudi Arabia with a visit at construction site, dinners and charity organizations. They began the third day together and visited King Abdullahs Financial District in the capital Riyadh -the more wealthy part of Riyadh. Already from the morning they were in a splendid mood; creating a scene with helmets. Construction areas require helmets also when you are royalty. The Crown Princess straightened her hair and carefully place the helmet on her head while the Crown Prince was a little more trouble with his. Smiling, she gave her husband a little help to make sure the helmet was rightfully placed on his head. The construction side is a great example of a collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Danish architecture.
While the Crown Prince visited the King Abdullah Center for Science and Technology along with Minister of Business- and Growth Troels Lund Poulsen, the Crown Princess visited Danish designed Kompan playground- and exercise room with Minister of Health and Elderly Sophie Løhde. The atmosphere was relaxed and she really seemed to enjoy time with the kids on the playground. I noticed how much it made her smile. The local girls showed great curiosity for the Danish Crown Princess and after some time they moved closer to her. Openhearted as always, she gave them every minute of her time. The Crown Princess showed sincere interest in the kids and asked them about the playground. During the visit she also inaugurated a new fitness- and workout area by cutting the traditional red ribbon. Crown Prince Frederik also seemed to enjoy his visit at the King Abdullah Center for Science and Technology.

Despite she wore black trousers again, this outfit reminds me more of what she usually wears. I don't know what you think but I really like to see her a little more relaxed. I also love to see some colour even though they are discreet. I strongly believe we have seen her in this greenish coat before in 2012 when Queen Margrethe celebrated her 40th anniversary as Queen of Denmark, hereI also just realized she wore the coat, without collar, in 2014 during a state visit in Denmark from Turkey, here. A reader made me aware that she was also wearing a long cardigan underneath, though it's not that easy to see. She embraced the style with a pair of bicolor Prada pumps and a burgundy Hugo Boss clutch both seen at previous events. The match surprised me but it works. Once again, we was a golden Georg Jensen bracelet and diamond earrings. Finally, we have the smashing Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses to keep her eyes protected from the  Arabian sun.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary at the reception at the Danish Embassy

After a long day, at 8 pm. the day wasn't quite finished yet. One more event before they were leaving for Qatar. Along with 300 special invited guests, from both Denmark and Saudi Arabia, and the host and Ambassador Ole Frijs-Madsen they royal couple attended a gala dinner at the Danish Embassy in Saudi Arabia. As the purpose of the trip, the gala dinner helped to establish contacts between the two countries. All along the Danish companies participating in this trip, have had plenty of time to create contacts with possible new business partners. The Crown Prince expressed a sincere joy of what he had seen so far. A glamorous reception was great way to end their stay in Saudi Arabia.

I have only seen very little from the dinner and the light wasn't that good, so it will not be the easies thing for me to tell about her outfit. To me it looks like a brand new blouse with long sleeves and no significant details. Despite these few details, several of you have already showed me one and the same blouse from Hugo Boss. The stunning maxi skirt has been identified as Project D.

Like her clothes, Mary seems way more relaxed at this dinner -casual as the outfit. I know it's not easy to see, but she was also wearing a black belt around her waist. Makes a good balance between upper- and lower body. I also see stunning earrings worn at a couple other events, but first identified recently as Annikat. The same designer as her incredible diamond wing cuff we love so much. She also wore a Georg Jensen bracelet. Looking all stunning, Mary topped off her look with a small clutch and SAND Copenhagen pumps.

Conference at Christiansborg

Tuesday, February 4th

Crown Princess Mary participated a conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Humanitarian Crises at Christiansborg in Copenhagen.

Kongehuset.dk

For several years the Crown Princess has committed herself to fight for girls and women's rights and well-being. She had attended countless international- and national conferences, visited countries all around the world listening to stories from those who are closest to the issues. She has also acted keynote speaker at several different conferences worldwide an despite her royal status (where she is not allowed to talk politics in public), she has managed to generate only positive attention to the subject. This time the Crown Princess participated a conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Humanitarian Crises at Christiansborg in Copenhagen. She arrived in the afternoon where she was welcomed by Deputy Secretary General in Sex og Samfund Tania Dethlefsen. When the Crown Princess gave the opening speech, she had everyone's attention. Read it here. Story goes that the Crown Princess is not just the only one who want to participate. Waiting lists are created for member who would also like to have attended the conference -which by the way is organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Parliamentary All-Party Network for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights and Sex og Samfund.

Mary was beautifully dressed when she participated the conference on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights in Humanitarian Crises at Christiansborg. Everything was perfectly suitable for the occasion. Unfortunately, not that many pictures have been published. I happened to find a short clip that gives me an idea of what she was wearing. She dazzled in a black blazer and a white blouse featuring a collar. Have we seen that before? -it reminds me a lot of a new Hugo Boss blouse worn on February 2nd when she received a donation to the Maternity Foundation from Inner Wheel, here. Both blouses features a similar collar. Let me know what you think. The black and white printed pencil skirt is by no doubt a Hugo Boss design. Mary embraced the style with white pearl ring from Marianne Dulong and a pair of earrings we have seen multiple times before from same designer. I caught a glimpse of her shoes and I believe she wore the SAND Copenhagen pumps.

Crown Princess Mary is present at the Global Network of Women's Shelters' Conference in the Netherlands from November 4-5th. The Crown Princess is accompanied by Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.

Program: The Hague
  • 9:00 am Crown Princess Mary and Queen Maxima arrived to the World Forum in the Hague.
  • 9:00 am Attended a panel discussion on economic independence for women.
  • 10:00 am Participated in a workshop on effective social and economic reintegration for women.
  • 11:00 am Watched the film Brave Miss World.
  • 1:30 pm Attended a panel discussion on sustainable funding and defense of women.

While Crown Prince Frederik is in Africa, his wife Crown Princess Mary is in the Netherlands -not that far from home as her husband. She is in the Netherlands to attend the Global Network of Women's Shelters' Conference as chairman of the Mary Foundation, as a member of the International Panel ICPD's High Level Task Force and as patron of the UN Population Fund and the Maternity Worldwide. Involved in all this and much more, the Danish Crown Princess has to be the perfect person to represent Denmark along with the several organizations at the conference. The Women's Shelters' Conference aim to create knowledge and share experiences across cultures and nationalities, all to find a solution on how to stop violence against women in countries all over the world. Back in 2012, she attended the conference in Washington -the 2nd World Conference of Women's Shelters.

At 9:00 pm. local time, the Crown Princess arrived to the World Forum in the Hague accompanied by Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. The Queen welcomed Denmark's future queen at the airport when she arrived earlier that morning and both women were in splendid mood. Just a week ago Queen Máxima and her husband Kind Wilhelm-Alexander visited China. The visit ended before it was planned because Maxima had a kidney infection that she was treated for back home. This week she also had to cancel some of her appointments. Despite the infection she chose to stand by the Danish Crown Princess on Wednesday and as planned, took her part in the Women's Shelters' Conference. Both Mary and Queen Maxima have, for several years, been involved in work to combat violence against women.

At the opening Queen Maxima gave her speech and on November 5th the Danish Crown Princess is keynote speaker. Around an hour later, the Crown Princess was on her own again and attended several different activities and workshops related to the complex problems including empowerment of abused women, international cooperation in the field and opportunities to influence the international agenda. Afterwards she watch a part of the film Brave Miss World about the Israeli Linor Arbargil who in 1998, a few weeks before she became Miss World, she was raped. The Crown Princess also took part in the discussion followed after Linor's lecture. She also payed a visit to the women shelter Rosa Manus where she met children and women; talked to women and played with the children.

As I have mentioned once or twice before the weather has changed in Denmark. The leaves have fallen of the trees and the ones that are left have the most wonderful orange and red colours, it's colder and rainy all the time. A typical autumn weather in Denmark. Some days ago we saw Mary wearing rubber boots, a warm jacket and gloves, which are exactly what you need these days. The dress coat was completely different arriving to the Netherlands. Bare legs and pastel coloured clothes.

It was love a first sight for me. I'm got obsessed with her outfit and had to try it out myself. Maybe we need to go back and I tell you more about what she actually wore at the conference. Mary was wearing a pink 60s inspired A-line skirt featuring large pockets at front and a matching coat in the same bobble gum pink colour. I was pretty sure both skirt and coat had to be from the same designer. Still, I didn't find a thing indication where it's from. Something I rarely do is to give up but I did this time. Suddenly, out of nowhere, I got a message on Facebook with the text of an identification and a link to where to find these two new things. At the same time I added a new brand to my list of Mary's clothes, namely AndiataAnd yes, coat and skirt are from the same designer. I learned that no one could find the skirt, but that is why you have me because within 2 seconds I found her skirt as well. Thank to Lurdes who enlightened med and making my day even better. With a black turtleneck, accessorized with a reused Prada (2012 collectionhandbag and SAND Copenhagen pumps, she completed what I would call a perfect outfit. Don't know if you noticed it but she was wearing her old Cartier watch featuring a black watchband and small diamonds. A natural brown and pink makeup gave her a feminine touch such as the round diamond earrings from Hartmann's

Women Deliver Committee Meeting

Tuesday, October 6th

Crown Princess Mary attended a Women Deliver Committee Meeting in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Copenhagen. The meeting was held after the opening of the Parliament at 12:00 pm.

Only two and a half hour after she arrived with her husband to Christiansborg castle in Copenhagen to attend the annual opening of the Parliament, the Crown Princess joined a meeting. The meeting was organized by Women Deliver; an organization we have heard quite a lot about the last few months. First of all because the Crown Princess is a member, she has been selected as patron of next years conference which will be held in Denmark and because of her dedication to the project. Yesterday's meeting she attended with Minster for Foreign Affairs, Kristian Jensen, whom she has worked with before in New York during the UN General Assembly. Apparently he promised her one of the 'dizzy-goal' footballs which she was given at yesterdays meeting. It was received with great pleasure. She wasn't the only one who got a football, because the Crown Princess and Minster for Foreign Affairs Kristian Jensen handed over 20 balls to the 20 committee members. On each and every one of them the 17 world goals of United Nations were written. This will let the members remember to make next years conference a great experience for the benefit of women worldwide. During the meeting the Crown Princess was in an exceptional mood, which proves how much she cares about the Women Deliver-project. With a smile on her lips, she handed over footballs to left and right in a pretty fast move like a professional to the participants and talking at the same time. Quite a performance. The meetings are in preparation for the Women Deliver conference in May next year which will be held in Denmark where one of the focus areas is gender equality.

About three hours before the committee meeting Mary was dressed in a new lace pencil skirt and a black peplum. At the meeting she grabbed everything gorgeous from the 60s and right there we have Mary; a modern women in a 60s inspired outfit. I know her look was also almost only black, but some black items are more exciting than others. Here we have a pattern included that makes the difference to me. Another reason why I just love her outfit is because of the new houndstooth blouse identified by Kate as Baum und Pferdgarten (Autumn/Winter 2015). Finally, I'm able to tell you a little more detailed what she also wore at the meeting. As I assumed she wore slim black trousers and matching pumps. To me they look like SAND Copenhagen. A beautiful and simple hairdo completed a perfect outfit, such as the golden Cartier watch. Now when I have seen the rest of her outfit I love it even more than I did before. Oh, I almost forgot to mention the purple/bordeaux suede belt. What a wonderful detail.
