Exclusive birthday interview with The Australian Women's Weekly

31 January

Photographer Franne Voigt captured some new photos of the Crown Princess for a new book, which will be published on January 31st. It is called "H.K.H. Mary". One of the photos from the book is now on the cover of the latest edition of The Australian Women's Weekly". Franne Voigt is the photographer (here). The interview also included photos by Jester Sunesen, Steen Evald, Tine Harden and some of the family's private photos (here).

Mary wore so many beautiful in the latest edition of The Australian Women's Weekly. Most of the photos and outfits are brand new for us. Like the one on the cover. I made identifications of each outfit in chronological order from this post here. Hopefully, it is clear who, what, where and when. Photos like these really inspire me. Especially, her more private looks are a great inspiration for me. They are often easy to wear and easy to copy. Any of the new outfits you want to try out yourself? Or many a pieces of jewellery you would like to add to your wardrobe?

Publication of the CeFU-report 2021

22 November

Many people have experience solitude throughout their life. Short periods, but also more persistent. Solitude has been on the Mary Foundation's agenda for many years and especially the last few years as it is one of the consequences of the pandemic. The foundation has especially focused on solitude among young people.

Once again, the Crown Princess, together with the Mary Foundation, attended an event focusing on solitide. She attended the publication of the CeFU-report "Can youth communities hurt?". A report by the Mary Foundation and Center for Ungdomsforskning - CeFU. The event took place at Tårnby Gymnasium in Kastrup.

Crown Princess Mary also gave a speech at the event in Kastrup. She talked about her own experiences with solitude from when her mother passed away in 1997. The Crown Princess also mentioned how she experienced shorter periodes of solitude.

On occasion of the publication a workshops took place. Crown Princess Mary also participated these herself. The workshop was all about finding ways to create healthy young communities. Later the results of the workshop was presented.

Arriving to Tårnby Gymnasium, Mary was warmly dressed in a brand new light grey winter coat. It shows very few details due to the cover of a floral printed Paul Smith scarf. Maybe we get a glimpse of her coat and will then be able to identify it. The lovely scarf goes way back. She first started wearing it in 2011. Like, when she started her travel to Africa in August 2011 (here).

Underneath, she was wearing a simple darker grey blouse from L.K. Bennett. Mary first wore this blouse at the launch of a UN report in 2016 (here). She matched it with a pair of simple black trousers. These kind of trousers are extremely difficult to find and the same goes with these.

Mary embraced her look with quite a few pieces of jewellery. Of course you noticed that magnificent golden necklace and its pendants. It is from talented Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. She also wore diamonds bands from the same designer. One in yellow gold and another one in gold. We also see her beloved Cartier bangle.

It looks like Mary was wearing black suede boots. Ankle boots I guess. They do not look new, but I cannot tell where we have seen them before. Maybe we have not. It is different with the bag. The black leather Bottega Veneta bag much be one of her oldest bags along with a certain Chanel bag (here). The glasses are Gucci.

Day 3. United Nations General Assembly in New York

Tuesday, September 19th

It is her third and last day in New York. The Crown Princess has been visiting the city for three days on occasion of the United Nations General Assembly. On Tuesday she attended several different events, among others the Forbes Summit which took place in the morning. The summit was followed by her present at Global Goals World Cup where the Crown Princess presented a player for SDG 5 Dream Team Player. Here she met with the Danish world famous actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. He was announced goodwill-ambassador of the United Nations in 2016. Seems like the two of them were getting a long very well. Think most people get along with the Crown Princess no matter when or where you meet her. Before attending dinner in the evening, she showed up at the event Handing over to Canada a new host country organized by Women Deliver.

During her last day in New York, Mary was dress beautifully in a brand new jacket and probably also trousers from Hugo Boss. I learned about the suit from Royal and Fashion. What makes this suit a bit more interesting it the white details around collar and cuffs. A very simple and delicate detail that works really well with a plain dark blue blazer like this. A first I thought her new suit was black, but later I noticed it as dark blue, which makes sense why she has chosen matching clue wedges. Since she wore these first time years ago I have been looking everywhere to find them. No one have ever been able to show me a model that looks exactly like the one she's wearing. They have been identified as both Christian Louboutin and L.K. Bennett. Then I came across a similar model from Bandolino. I was never really convinced about L.K. Bennett but now I am. I found a navy blue suede model that convinced me. She embraced a chic and polished business-like style by wearing a plain white blouse, jewellery from Dulong Fine Jewelry, Orit Elhanati, Cartier, Shamballa Jewels and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Really seems like Mary has embraced the love of hoop earrings and wearing multiple necklaces at once.

In the evening the Crown Princess attended a prestigious dinner hosted by Bill Gates and his wife Melinda Gates. The dinner took place on occasion of Project Everyone and a award was handed over. The Crown Princess was in a splendid mood when she entered the stage in her midnight blue dress, ready to hand over the Healthy not Hungry Award to the winner Bernard Coulibaly. Congratulations to Bernard with the very fine prize. The award is given to a person who tackle chronic malnutrition affecting children and mothers in his or her country. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands attended the dinner. The two women met during the evening and that is not the first time the two of them have met on occasion of international conference etc. In 2015 they met at the World Conference of Women's Shelters in the Hauge, here and during the Women Deliver Conference in 2016 hosted by Denmark, here.

Dinner time is equal to smashing evening outfits. All along Mary has been wearing plain colours and dimmed accessories without compromising her style. At the dinner she was dressed in one of her reused wrap dresses from Issa -and yes it is the same model worn by the Duchess of Cambridge on her engagement day. Mary dazzled in this dress back in 2016 when she attended the presentation of the Cancer Society Award on occasion of World Cancer Day, here. Love her outfit back then as much as this time. She has chosen to wear the navy blue dress with golden jewellery from Dulong Fine Jewelry and Orit Elhanti such as diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen -three of the best Danish jewellery designers we have. Looking all gorgeous she wore the python Gianvito Rossi pointed pumps. Maybe some nail polish, a berry lipgloss or a different hairstyle would have made her outfit even more magnificent? A least we got that pair of eye catching pumps. An outfit you would wear for a evening event? I differently would.

The opening of CPH Garden

Wednesday, June 21st

Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of the exhibition CPH Garden in Copenhagen.

It is not the first time Crown Princess Mary has named a new rose with champagne, but it is the first time she attended the opening of CPH Garden a garden exhibition. CPH Garden is organized by Haveselvskabet (The Garden Company). She arrived to Valbyparken in Copenhagen around noon, as guest of honor, where she was warmly welcomed by chairwoman of the Garden Company Bente Siiger Lustü and CEO Charlotte Garby. The two of them later gave the Crown Princess a guided tour around the exhibition to show her some of the wonderful spaces with flowers, workshops and smaller exhibitions with garden accessories. The Crown Princess was in a great spirit all day with a huge smile on her face. Mary also attended the event to name a new rose -the most beautiful pink rose. It was given the name CPH Garden in Bloom. Wonderful name; wonderful rose. When the Crown Princess arrived, she herself was given the most incredible bouquet of flowers, here. Mary was also appointed honorary member of The Garden Company. Congratulations to the Crown Princess with her new membership.

As beautiful as all the flowers surrounding her, Mary was looking incredible in her summer outfit! What could do better than a floral printed skirt for the opening of a garden exhibition? I am so sure you clearly remember the fact that we have seen her wear it once before, when she attended the inauguration of a new school in Aabybro, here. And of course, the skirt is from Andiata. Back then, she also wore the skirt with a white blouse, but different from the one she wore at the exhibition. Still, I'm pretty sure we have seen this one before, here. At that time it was not identified and I haven't found it since. My thoughts still goes to a designer like Zara, but it's just a crazy idea. Embracing the style with a stunning straw hat from Susanne Juul, Hartmann's diamond earrings, a Cartier bracelet as well as one from Dulong Fine Jewelry. To match the earrings she was also wearing a couple of diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. A combo we have seen several times before. As with the hat, it's just great to see that L.K. Bennett wedges again! I have missed them. Another detail that caught my attention is the belt. Somehow I can't get my eyes of it. Kate managed to ID the belt as Gucci. Usually I don't pay much attention to her belts, but this one I'm in with love with and I can't really explain why.

I am completely overwhelmed by hairstyle and makeup. Think it's lovely we get to see a few of these updos as during the official state visit from Japan last week. Let us see many more, please. Don't know if you noticed her nail polish. A pretty bright colour than we are use to see on her, but so far it has made a great match with all of her outfits. I have a thought about where it's from. Take a look and let me hear what you think and if you would wear it yourself.

20th anniversary reception of Baglandet

Thursday, June 8th

Crown Princess Mary attended the 20th anniversary reception of Baglandet taking place in Copenhagen.

In the afternoon, around 2:30 pm local time, the Crown Princess arrived to Baglandet in Copenhagen to attend their 20th anniversary reception as guest of honor. She arrived in a very good mood and was warmly welcomed with flowers and handshakes. Baglandet is a meeting place and counseling center for young people and adults, who have been placed in a foster family as children. The reception took place in a rather small tent, where the Crown Princess quickly found herself a good seat. Simply wonderful to see how comfortable everyone were at the reception. It was the plan that Mary should give a speech during her visit, but instead she used the time talking with the other participants of Baglandet. But speeches were given during the celebration reception and were met with great applause. The reception also served as meeting to discuss the terms of previous, current and future foster children.

Following the Crown Princess was given a guided tour, by leader Viggo Spangsberg, around the facilities at Baglandet. Here she was told much more about the place; what they can offer the children staying at Baglandet etc. It was with great interest the Crown Princess listened to everything she was told.

We have seen so many great outfits lately and now we got one more. She had chosen to wear one of her reused belted jackets featuring a V-neck and long sleeves. When she first wore it months ago, it was identified as Hugo Boss. As we have seen her wear the jacket before, here, the same goes with the Hugo Boss trousers and blue suede wedges. For years I have been trying to figure out where her shoes are from. Somewhere I read them ID'd as her black L.K. Bennett. And finally I managed to find the model in the same navy blue colour. She embrace a lovely outfit with diamond earrings from Hartmann's, rings and a chain bracelet from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and a golden Orit Elhanati necklace. Love that she's wearing that necklace again. I've adored it from the first time she wore it! Because everything else was so simple, I'm crazy about the colourful nail polish. What a splendid detail.

The Women's Board Award 2017

Friday, January 27th
Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of the Women's Board Award 2017 taking place at Frederiksberg, Copenhagen.

No doubt that I really enjoyed following the state visit from Iceland earlier this week. It was a true pleasure watching the Crown Prince couple spending time with the Icelandic Presidential couple. We also got a gala dinner and some lovely pictures of Mary and the First Lady enjoying some time together. Some really great days! Now the Crown Princess is back, attending the presentation of this years Women's Board Award 2017 which has been handed over since 2014. It is the third time the Crown Princess is there to present the prestigious award which this year was given to TDC's executive director Pernille Erenbjerg. A huge and laud congratulation from me to Pernille with the award. Afterwards Mary and all the other invited guests attended a reception on occasion of the award show.

Well, well, well. I see that many opinions have already been shared on what the Crown Princess wore at the Women's Board Award 2017. I know about a week or so have gone sine the award was handed over, but still. What do my readers think about Mary's green and black outfit? I am completely in love with her new black cape. Everything about it is just perfect. I really want a black cape myself now! I have had different designers in mind, but none of them seems to be the right one. Then Kate and Heaven share a model with me from By Malina and I think they have managed to find the one we are looking for which now has also been confirmed. I can't wait to see her wear it again! The cape was worn over her green L.K. Bennett silk dress. An amazing dress and I really like it with the new black cape. She belted the outfit with her brown Céline belt. I am crazy in love with her outfit! She accessorized it with white pearl earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, the beautiful golden Cartier bracelet and of course her diamond bracelet from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Looking completely stunning in her rather simple outfit, she embrace the style with a black Quidam clutch and of course black pumps from SAND CopenhagenI only need three words to describe Mary's award show outfit: minimalistic, elegant and chic. Sorry to say girls, but I can't get why anyone dislike this.

Christmas concert in Esajas church

Sunday, December 11th

Crown Princess Mary was present as patron of The Royal Danish Academy of Music Childrens Choir Christmas concert taking place in Esajas church. The Crown Princess attended along with Crown Prince Frederik and their four children.

For years, the Crown Princess has brought her family to the Royal Danish Academy of Musics Children's Choir Christmas concert. It has now become a wonderful tradition. Mary is patron for the Royal Danish Academy of Music Children's Choir which is the reason why the family was attending. The atmosphere is so special. Can't really explain why -maybe because all lights are turned out and replaced by candles and the children's choir are singing with the most beautiful voices. I wasn't there, but it feels like when I watch the video below. The royal couple arrived around noon with all four children. They clearly enjoyed the concert from first raw. Especially the kids seemed to enjoy the afternoon with their parents. Simply just a wonderful family!

When I see what Mary was wearing at the Christmas concert, it makes me think that we recently have seen her wear somes pieces that are a bit... unusual -nothing bad about that at all. Think it is great to we get to see new items and accessories. One of them is the new dress she was wearing at this concert. At first sight there was no doubt in my mind that it was a new dress but the recurring questions as always is; where it is from? I had several different designer in mind, non of them was the one. Following day I learned, at Royals & Fashion, that it had already been found at L.K. Bennett. Reminds me a lot of a Isabel Marant for H&M dress of hers. Do you recall which one I'm talking about? Very similar print and fabric. She dazzled in her new dress which as accessorized with a pair of (huge) diamond earrings, her golden Cartier bracelet and knee-length Prada boots. Think the dress looks great with the boots. Believe I see a ring on her right hand too. If I'm correct she is wearing this kerosene colored coat which I am pretty sure is from Sportmax (Max Mara), which by the way is a magnificent match to the rest of her outfit! And a really great colour to wear during the winter season and it so pretty combined with the red nail polish. Would love to have seen a close up of her makeup; looks so beautiful.

State of World Population Report 2016

Friday, October 28th

Crown Princess Mary attended as patron the launch of the State of World Population Report 2016 along with UNPFA (United Nations Population Fund) at Søndre School in Rødby.

Dr.dk

It was on occasion of the launch of United Nations Population Fund State of World Population Report 2016 that Mary visited Søndre School in Rødby. The visit focused on 10 year old girls around the world. She attracted great attention from all the children right from begining. At the arrival she was warmly welcomed with flags, flowers, hugs and handshakes. Mary was accompanied by politicain Kristian Jensen by whom she has met at several previous occasions. After a short speech given by the Crown Princess herself it was time to have a little fun. She attended games like tug a war (and her team won!) and something called 'dizzy goal'. You spin 17 times around yourself and try to get goal with a football -she missed. I think it was an educational and fun visit for both Mary and the kids.

Functional and minimalistic. Two simple words perfectly describning Mary's outfit from the visit at Søndre School in Rødby, Lolland. She was dressed in a very casual grey jersey blouse featuring long sleeves, a criss/cross at front and v-neckline which has now been found at L.K. Bennett by Lisa and Kate. Thanks you two! Don't recall we have ever seen her in this specific piece before. She paired it with black trousers and her black Heartmade ankle boots. At the arrival she was wearing her wonderful beige double breasted coat from By Malene Birger; a great match to the grey and black look. Which has to be what I love most about this outfit. Left side of her chest she wore a little flower brooch, I'm sure you noticed it. What's special about the brooch is that the money goes to charity to support cancer research Knæk Cancer. Wonderful of her to wear it. Both necklace and diamond rings are from the talented Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Well, this is differently not one of my favourite outfits this year, but I love her taking time to show commitment to the world's girls. An honor to have her as Crown Princess!

'Free of Bullying' launched in nurseries and daycares

Tuesdays, May 24th

Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of the Mary Foundation's anti-bullying project Free of Bullying in nurseries and daycares. The launching happened in Vallensbæk Beach.

Like the Mary Foundation, the Free of Bullying project has been a huge success both in Denmark and abroad. Till today the project was created to children of the age of kindergarten and pre-school. Now it is taken to the next level: nurseries and daycares - a little younger audience than previously. Free of Bullying is developed in collaboration of the Mary Foundation and Save the Children Denmark, which both were represented at the launching taking place in Vallensbæk municipality. As the first municipality in Denmark, so far, Vallensbæk use the project in their everyday's.

The sun was shining, when the Crown Princess around noon arrived to the nursery Sydstjernen, where she was welcomed by lots of children, the Secretary General of Save the Children Denmark, Jonas Keiding Lindholm and Major Henrik Rasmussen. Inside the Crown Princess sat down on a pillow on the floor enjoying some time with all the lovely children, who all seemed very interested in this strange new woman with dark hair. Along with the children she was singing, dancing and playing with some of the tools from the anti bullying program. Especially the little purple Free of Bullying-teddy bear was really popular. The Crown Princess played along and had a really good time interacting with the children. To me it seems like the most incredible atmosphere. She is literally just sitting on the floor, paying attention to the children and nothing else. I imagine her as a mother just like this. The brilliant weather gave an opportunity for all of them to enjoy some time with the Crown Princess out site on the playground. Grounded as always, I think it was a great day for everybody. She also paid a visit to the daycare Stien just across the street, where she was one more time welcomed by lots of excited children, who all wanted a glimpse of the Crown Princess.

Mary just keep surprising me. Over and over again, we see some outfits that are stylish, innovative and of course extremely beautiful. I know, I keep saying that ever time but it's really what gets to me every single time I see new pictures of her. As always she amazed me with her outfit. Simple and spot on. I know for sure this is an outfit I will try out with the pair of similar trousers I have in my own wardrobe. Because that was exactly what she wore; a pair of brand new trousers featuring a significant white pattern. My gut told me that is had to be from Julie Fagerholt Heartmade and I was right. Finally I was right about something. As easy as it was for me to make a guess about the trousers, as troubled have I been trying to figure out where the new white blazer is from. She has worn a white blazer before, here, but it accrue not to be the same. Any ideas? I've tried Zara, Massimo Dutti, By Malene Birger and Ganni. Still, nothing. Matching the pattern of her trousers and white blazer she wore a plane white blouse. Can't really tell anything about it. Her shoes are much more interesting. A a pair of navy blue suede wedges I believe is a reuse, here, here & here. They are told to be from L.K. Bennett. She added jewellery from Dulong Fine Jewelry to sparkle on a sunny day.

The Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2015

Saturday, October 3rd

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2015 taking place in Kulturværftet, Helsingør.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary arrived to Kulturværftet in Helsingør with Kronborg castle in the background. They arrived shortly before 8:00 pm. local time to host this year's Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2015. The award show was broadcasted live on Danish television and lasted about one and a half hour. Did you watch the show? I did. I do every year. It has become a annual tradition and I really love this year's show. Usually I only look for pictures on the internet, but a few times a year I take the chance to enjoy her live on TV. The Crown Prince Couple's Prizes is our window into the Danish artistic world. We see musicians, writers, designers etc. A little bit of everything really. An evening of true admiration and honoring Danish artists for their innovative and creative work.

Several different artists are nominated and only four of them wins a prize at the award show. The Crown Prince Couple have presented these four prizes the last eleven years every years at a different location somewhere in Denmark. The Crown Princes Couple's Prizes was established in 2004 as a wedding gift to the couple and was first presented in 2005. This was a gift from the Bikuben Foundation. Until 2009 the award had another name: 'The Crown Prince Couple's Cultur Prize' and then it was changed to the current name. At the same time, in 2009, the numbers of prizes was expanded from one to four, in three different categories. The Crown Prince Couple's Prizes was in 2013 awarded for the first time outside Denmark, as the awards ceremony was held in the Opera House in Sydney. I'm sure you all remember it very well -the Crown Princess in her stunning pink Ole Yde gown. Overall the prizes focuses on outstanding performances, innovative and excellence ideas in the Danish art and culture such as social work. Below you see the winners and why the prize is given:

  • The Crown Prince Couple's Culture Prize/Kronprinsparrets KulturprisThe prize goes to a Danish, Faroese and Greenlandic artist who has made an outstanding achievement, and one who can expect great achievements in the future, both national and internationally. The winner also gets DKK 500,000.
The Culture Prize winner is: Theater director Elisa Kragerup

  • The Crown Prince Couple's Stardust Prizes/Kronprinsparrets StjernedryspriserIt is given in recognition of innovative, younger Danish, Faroese and Greenlandic artists who have shown the courage to break new ground in their artistic genre which has been innovative and uncompromising in their artistic exploration. The winners are also given DKK 50,000
The winners are: Designer Mark Tan & Author and artist Amalie Smith

  • The Crown Prince Couple's Social Prize/Kronprinsparrets Sociale PrisThis prize is given to a private, public or voluntary association, institution or organization that is behind an innovative, creative and innovative project or initiative for the benefit of socially vulnerable or marginalized groups in Denmark or Greenland. The project gets DKK 500,000. The winner is the project: Mind Your Own Business
A wonderful evening like this takes a wonderful evening gown and Mary didn't disappoint me at all in her dazzling new black outfit. Because I watched the live broadcast yesterday evening I got a glimpse of her look -saw how it moved when she moved. The style was very 50s with its A-line skirt featuring beautiful laser cut flowers, a fitted waist accessorizes with black stones and a turtleneck. I need to admit that I did not see she's wearing a skirt and a blouse. Why didn't I see that? But thanks to all of you, especially Gitte I now see that it is a two piece outfit. Actually we have seen her wear the blouse before at the celebration of Per Thornit's 70-years birthday in 2012, here. This also give us a chance that we actually are able to find out where the skirt comes from. Days before the award show we found out that designer Mark Tan was one of the winners. To honor him he could have created the dress Mary would be wearing at yesterday's show. But I had my doubts. The skirt she wore is too feminine and features too many details. If Mark Tan had designed her outfit I think it had been way more minimalistic and plain. To find the skirt hasn't really been easy and I'm not the one to take the credit for this, cause Kate identified her new laser cut A-line skirt. It is from Sofie Topsøe Mailand (Spring/Summer 2016). Apparently, Sofie designed the skirt as an inspiration from the 50s. You can follow the entire process of her project here. It is really fascination to read her thoughts behind the design. Mary was even more stunning wearing red lipstick and the bordeaux clutch from Sergio Rossi. In my opinion red and black are two of the most glamorous colours in a combo. Absolutely magnificent. I have heard comments about her hairstyle; you think it makes her look old. Sorry but I really love it. It's perfectly styled to match her look. Her use of the Ruby Parure is great! To use the ruby brooch instead of a necklace is brilliant, innovative and creative as the winners of the evenings prizes. I want to mention that earrings, bracelet and ring are not originally a part of the parure such as the brooch is. She completed her outfit with a pair of new black Gianvito Rossi pumps. I'm breathless...

During the show at Kulturværftet in Helsingør, an interview with the Crown Prince couple was broadcasted. Something we see almost every year. Here the couple make a comment about each prize and why it is given. During this year's the interview, the Crown Prince couple wondering around in Helsingør with Kronborg castle in the background. She was dressed in the most beautiful striped shirt dress from Baum und Pferdgarten (Autumn/Winter 2015) which was also posted on their Instagram, here. Wonder what it feels like to see the Crown Princess wear your design? Never mind. She matched the new dress with her beige L.K. Bennett wedges, Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses and bracelets from Charlotte Wæhrens and Anni Lu. Sorry to say, but I can't get enough of this outfit. I would love to wear it myself any time.

Bridgewalking in Denmark

Sunday, May 10th

Crown Princess Mary attended the inauguration of bridgewalking aross the old Lillebælt bridge between Middelfart and Fredericia. The Crown Princess also opened a new tourist attraction in Fredericia.

It was a very windy day when the Crown Princess arrived to Middelfart to attend the inauguration of bridgewalking across the old Lillebælt bridge between the two Danish cities Middelfart and Fredericia. It has taken about four years to make the bridge ready for the bridgewakling attraction. She was warmly welcomed with flags, handshakes, flowers and hundreds of smiles. She was one big smile herself. The Crown Princess began the walk across the bridge from Middelfart and ended up in Frederica. The walk took place over 60 meters above the ground. I am so afraid of hight's and can't understand why anyone would do this by them self. But Mary seemed to enjoy the wind in her face and sight across the sea. While walking on the bridge, she was told all about the two cities by Mayer Stten Dahlstrøm and Mayer Jacob Bjerregaard. In Frederica she also attended the opening of a new tourist attraction. Afterwards she was suppose to be driven back to her hotel Trinity in an old vintage car. By accident she is the one sitting behind the wheel and end up driven back the car herself to the hotel! What a lovely story.

When visiting Middelfart she was dressed in one of her white turtleneck's, a pair of black trousers and her checkered Massimo Dutti coat -you remember, the reversible one. A great outfit for a sunny and windy day. Her hairstyle was all natural as with the makeup. The diamond earrings are from Hartmann's and seen multiple times before. I wouldn't mind adding them to my jewellery box, but I am pretty sure I will never be able to afford such diamonds. Still, you are allowed to dream, right? Arriving to Middelfart she was wearing a reused pair of navy blue, suede wedges. Since the first time we saw then, I have been looking everywhere to identify them. Though Mary was worn them several times, I still do not have a quality close-up picture. L.K. Bennett has been suggested several times and the main reason why I haven't recognized this as the right answer to the question of where they are from, is because they haven't been found in the right colour -and the fact that we have no close-up. Now I'm convinced because I found a model in navy blue as the one Mary is wearing. Walking across the bridge she changed to a pair of New Balance sneakers.

The royal family's arrival to Dannebrog

The last few days have been very busy and I know I'm way behind keeping up with the updates from their visit to Greenland, something I hope to rectify now. We have to start somewhere, so I think I will be when the royal family arrived to Dannebrog in Copenhagen. They are traveling by ship to visit Greenland something Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik have been during for many years, such as the Queen and her mother and father did back in the old day. Now the tradition has pasted on and it is time for the future King and Queen to make the tradition their own. This is also the first time the Crown Prince couple's four children are visiting Greenland, which I believe they have all been looking forward to with great pleasure.

Arriving to Dannebrog Mary was dressed perfectly in an outfit I would love to wear myself! I am a huge fan of navy blue, sprites and brown leather, exactly what she was wearing. Navy blue and brown always makes a great match. The first thing I noticed was her blue Zara (2012 collection) blazer seen for the first time when Frederik and her visited London to attend the Olympic games. I'm very pleased to see her in it again and with that black and white striped blouse, well nothing could be any better. I strongly believe she's wearing black trousers and not blue as some of you suggested. No matter what colour they are, they look gorgeous with the rest of the outfit especially because of the navy blue suede wedges from L.K. Bennett. Who wouldn't want a pair on their own? I assure you they would look good on my too. Then I mentioned something about brown as well; that's her handmade Ralph Lauren bag I was talking about. Think I see a pair of diamond studs too and possibly also her Shamballa Jewels bracelet. Oh... and of course, that baby blue scarf I still do not know a thing about. A rather simple outfit to try on your own and very inspirational if you need that too for your next look. To me she really nailed it!

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary in Igaliko

First of all I have to say; it is simply wonderful to see of all of them together on this trip! I think it's great they let the kids come with them and they really seem to enjoy themselves already -the kids I mean. At the arrival all four children were given presents which were quickly unpacked. Inside were warm and cosy wool sweaters in brown colours. By brining the kids the atmosphere was also another, more relaxed. Everyone who would like to say hi and shake hands with the royals just did. Especially Mary took plenty of time to talk with everyone she met. And of course there was time for Christian and his siblings to run around and enjoy themselves -they climbed on the rocks, was laughing and had lots of fun with each other. Meanwhile, Frederik and Mary payed attention to... well almost everything else from journalists to kids and the beautiful mountains surround them in Igaliko. I have never been to Greenland myself, but I think it is one of the most beautiful experiences you can have if you enjoy nature.

A bit more nature and a bit more South Greenland means it's time for a quick change of clothes. That is exactly what Mary did. No more striped blouse or heeled wedges, but still something navy blue. What she had changed to was a lovely blue cosy turtleneck blouse seen a other occasions (among others this here from 2012 on occasion of Mary's 40th birthday), a pair of black tight jeans and warm winter jacket featuring a fur collar. I am pretty sure the jacket is a yet another reuse, but I simply can't remember when and where we have seen it. Do you? So far I haven't been able to tell you anything about where her clothes are from and I still can't, but with some help from sweet Cécile from Princessesblog76 I can tell you that her new suede ankle boots are from designer Etolie Isabel Marant. Not a pair of boots I even would have believed to see Mary wear, though I have to admit they match her style quite well actually. They do great with the trousers she had chosen. Shamballa Jewels is the designer of her pink diamond ball bracelet. Love the way her hair turned out. Am I the only one who think hair, makeup and clothes makes her look all... clear and fresh?

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary in Narsaq

It was a lovely sight when the royal family members arrived by ship to Narsaq. People from near and far was there to welcome the family. Both Mary and her two daughters Isabella and Josephine were given small bouquets of flowers at the arrival. Then it was time for them to meet some of the attendances. The wonderful welcoming ceremony was followed by a visit at the local cultural center A21, at an art workshop, a retirement home such as the museum in Narsaq. These visits was without any children. From what I see on the pictures I believe both Frederik and Mary and everyone they met during their first day in Narsaq enjoyed their day. We saw lots of smiles and many laughs that day right from the second they arrived to Greenland in the morning.

Not much had changed when Mary and her sweet family later that day arrived to Narsaq; she was stil keeping warm in a blue turtleneck blouse, black tight trousers and her new Etolie Isabel Marant boots. Though much of it had not changed, a few things had. Instead of a black winter coat featuring a fur collar she looked dazzling in an old Ralph Lauren (POLO collection) cape featuring black leather details and a couple buckles. It was back in 2010 at the time of the Queens 70th birthday, Mary wore the cape in the morning when family and friends woke her up with a birthday song, which by the way is another lovely tradition the family has. She added a pair of aquamarine blue earrings and a black pearl necklace both from Marianne Dulong. Looking a bit closer at the pictures I think I see a pair of Prada sunglasses to. What I love most about this outfit then it has to be the combination of the blue turtleneck blouse and black wool cape. Everyone should have such a cape!
