Day 1. Official visit to Nigeria

June 24, 2025

"The 10 Million Safer Births Initiative"

Queen Mary paid an official visit to Nigeria from June 24 to 25th. She was accompanied by the Danish Minister of Education and Research, Christina Egelund. The visit is based on the Danish Government's "Africa Strategy" and focused on the Danish-Nigerian cooperation in both culture, healthcare and business.

The Queen and Christina Egelund were jointed by, among others, the Nigerian Minister of Women's Affairs Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim at "The 10 Million Safer Births Initiative"-event taking place at the Maitama District Hospital in Abuja.

I simply love when Mary is wearing colors - especially colorful and printed dresses. This is why I adore the La DoubleJ dress so much. She first wore it when visiting Fiji in 2023. Back then she wore it with nude python pumps but this time, Mary had chosen brown mules from Malone Souliers to match the dress. I kinda like that.

A closer look reveal her wearing beautiful golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a custom-made golden ring. Also mastered by Dulong Fine Jewelry. Love how her soft brown curly hair matched the shoes in color. Has her hair been dyed more light brown?

A day in Abuja

Later that day Minister of Education and Research Christina Egelund accompanied Queen Mary when attending a meeting with Nigeria's President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First Lady Oluremi Tinubu. The meeting took place at State House - the Presidential Villa.

The two of them then visited the Danish ambassador's residence in Nigeria followed by a visit at MeCaht Crisis Center - a center for young women who have been exposed to human trafficking.

Her choice in clothes is outstanding! So far we have seen everything I adore: colors and prints. When meeting the Nigerian President and First Lady at the State House she changed to a bright red blouse from Jesper Høvring and a stunning floral printed Paul & Joe skirt. The pleating's are wonderful. Love how "light" this outfit looks.

Mary embraced the style with simple python pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Think it is her most beloved pair of shoes.

Her beautiful white South Sea pearl earrings goes way back in time. They are created by Danish Dulong Fine Jewelry. So is her custom-made golden ring. Mary's necklace is rather new. It has been identified as a Louise Grønlykke design.

Reception at The Nordic Abuja

Queen Mary and Christian Egelund, Minister of Education and Research attended a reception at The Nordic Abuja in the evening after a long day in Abuja. She gave a speech on occasion of the reception.

I never been a huge fan of this dress. Think it is the silhouette that doesn't really attracts me. Mary first wore it at a business promotion visit in Sweden in 2017. Back then she also accessorized it with a black leather belt from Isabel Marant. I like the fact that she re-wore an outfit with a few other pieces of accessories.

Her beautiful curly hair was embellished with a new hair comb from talented Ellen Hunter. I really like how she matched white pearl earrings from Annikat with this specific hair comb and amazing pearl ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Still haven't decided whether or not I like (or dislike) this model of shoes from Malone Souliers. What is your opinion? Mary wore brand new ones in black. The design is a collaboration between Malone Souliers and Philosophy (by Alberta Ferretti).

Visit at the Deaconess Foundation

11 November 2024

Recently, Queen Mary became patron of the Deaconess Foundation (Diakonissestiftelsen). Since the time of Princess Louise (1860s) - later Queen Louise, Queen's of Denmark have been committed to stand by the foundation's hard work.

The foundation has worked for more than 160 to provide care and nurturing for people in all ages and to some of our most vulnerable citizens. They combine education, health and psychiatry and build a bridge between traditional ways of support and finding new solutions focusing on each individual person.

On November 11th, the Queen visited the housing 'Moment' which is for young adults. Moment is part of the Deaconess Foundation's social psychiatric project.

Mary looked great in her dark navy blue The Fold London suit. I really like whenever she's wearing a suit. They look good, are easy to wear and style. Goes with any occasion - day and night. Especially, blue is perfect for this occasion and time a year. Love that she matched it with a bright red Isabel Marant blouse. The splash of color is simple outstanding! Very elegant soft detail with the simple and edgy suit.

Mary accessorized the outfit with beloved gold diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe. Not that many photos have been published from her visit, so I am not able to tell if she wore more jewellery. Nor which pair of shoes she was wearing. My guess would be navy blue suede pumps.

Presentation of the EliteForsk Prizes

24 February

The EliteForsk Prizes were first presented in 2007 and is a handed over by the Minister of Education and Research. Since 2007, the Crown Princess has attended the event for several years. It was also the case this year.

Crown Princess Mary was accompanied by Minister of Education and Research Jester Petersen, when the prizes were handed over at Moltkes Palace in Copenhagen.

The EliteForsk Prizes are presented each year to create as much awareness as possible on leading scientist from each their field of experience. This year, Crown Princess Mary presented five winning scientists: Professor Anne Ladegaard Skov, Professor Anton Pottegård, Professor Felix Riede, Professor Naja Hulvej Rod and Professor Sune Lehmann. They are given 200,000 Danish kroner as a personal honorary award and 1 million Danish kroner to support their research.

Traveling scholarships were also handed over to 20 ph.d. students valued 200,000 Danish kroner. The money are given to support a long-term study stays in an international research environment. Congratulations to all of them and thanks for all their hard (and important) work.

When arriving to Moltkes Palace, Mary showed how to wear a many year old coat. It is a Prada design. Over the years, it has become one of her most beloved coats. Both for more private occasions and officials events. She matched it with simple black trousers and a brand new printed blouse. With some help from one of you my beloved readers, I am now able to tell that Mary's new blouse is from Britt Sisseck. Apparently, it is from a late 2021 collection.

Mary accessorized her lovely outfit with diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe - her cool go-to earrings. She also flashed a magnificent golden ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry. A closer look at the ring revealed her, very unusual, nail polish. This is differently the first time she wears such an imaginative nail design.

She created a beautiful silhouette by wearing a black Isabel Marant leather belt. It made her look super chic! Paired with an exclusive Quidam clutch and black pointed Gianvito Rossi pumps, Mary made this look work very well.

Day 2. Visit to Burkina Faso

29 October

Meeting the President of Burkina Faso

So, we just found out that Crown Princess Mary and Minister of Development Flemming Møller Mortensen have been on a two-days visit to Burkina Faso. In a troubled state like Burkina Faso, many girls and women have to pay the price and compromise their health, rights and opportunities. All because they live with poverty, a changing climate and much uncertainty.

On her second day in Burkina Faso, she first met with President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré. The meeting took place in the President Palace in Burkina Faso's capital, Ouagadougo. I am sure the President was able to give the Crown Princess a clear view of the situation in both Ouagadougo and Kaya as the Crown Princess visited the day before (here).

Meeting with the President of Burkina Faso from the morning, Mary had chosen a lovely outfit. She matched a simple white Hugo Boss blouse with a stunning floral printed midi skirt. The skirt has not yet been identified. I look forward to the day I happens.

She embraced the style with golden Orit Elhanati earrings, a nude reused clutch and what looks like new brown suede Gianvito Rossi Pumps. Truly a magnificent outfit for such a meeting.

During the day

After meeting President Roch Marc Christian Kaboré in the Presidential Palace, she and her traveling partner Flemming Møller Mortensen paid a visit to a local girls club not that far from Ouagadougou. Girls from the girl club, shared their stories and experience with child marriages, violence and  circumcision with the Crown Princess. The girls club act as a closed forum for the girls to talk, get legal advice and psychological support.

Crown Princess Mary enjoyed lunch with representatives from a youth panel. This youth panel is by initiative by the Danish Embassy in Burkina Faso. It provides the embassy a view and guidance of how to implement Denmark's help in the state.

After having lunch, the Crown Princess visited the counseling center ABBEF-centre. ABBEF has a wide range of competent health professionals, who offers their help and knowledge about both contraception, HIV/AIDS and sexual and reproductive health in genereal.

After her visit at the Presidential Palace, Mary made quick change in clothes to an exotic printed button-down and her beloved green Apiece Apart midi skirt. Such a comfortable and down-on-earth-look.

She accessorized the outfit with earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, a bracelet from the same designer and an Orit Elhanti necklace. The second golden bracelet is Cartier.

Wish I would be able to wear these golden sandals from Anonymous Copenhagen, but my feet would never cooperate with me. It looks like Mary makes it work perfectly.

Reception at the Danish Embassy

It had already been a long day for both the Crown Princess and the Minister of Development Flemming Møller Mortensen, but they had one more event to attend: an evening reception hosted by the Danish Ambassador in Burkina Fasp Steen Sonne Andersen.

At the reception, Crown Princess Mary had obviously been asked to make a speech and she did. She was then to meet a number of those partners Denmark collaborate with in Burkina Faso.

In the evening, she had changed clothes one more time. One final time before her visit was about the end and she was headed back home to Copenhagen. I learned from UFO No More that Mary was wearing a new green printed Hennes & Mauritz dress matched with a new leather belt from Isabel Marant.

As other accessories, she had chosen large golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a matching Orit Elhanati necklace. We also get a glimpse of a rather large ring. That is also from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

To me, it looks like Mary embraced the outfit with a new black (embroidered?) clutch as well and brand new peep-toe sandals from Givenchy. Thanks to UFO No More we know about these fascinating heeled sandals.

'InnoTalk' in Skuespilhuset

Monday, October 1st

On Monday the Crown Princess arrived to Skuespilhuset in Copenhagen to attend the Innovationsfondens 'InnoTalk' event. She was in a really great mood. When arriving the Crown Princess was warmly welcomed by Danish Minister of Education and Research, Tommy Ahlers - among others. So what is 'InnoTalk'? It is an event organized by Innovationsfonden focusing on the distribution of gender in the Danish labor market. All this including how it can strengthen both research, business and (of course) innovation.

The above mentioned was also the main focus of other key note speakers, who entered the stage Monday noon in Skuespilhuset. The exact same stage on which the Crown Princess gave her speech end of the meeting. She, among other things, summarized what she had heard during the day from all the other important speakers. According to Crown Princess Mary talking about gender is not just about equality and justice - it is a way to create a more sustainable development.

After a couple of hours with ideas on innovative solutions, sharing of experience and ideas it was time to leave. The Crown Princess arrived in a good mood and smiled as goodbye.

Days are cloudy, windy and rainy in Denmark at the moment. Fall has arrived and so has longer coats and darker colours. Attending the event in Skuespilhuset in Copenhagen Mary was dressed in the most incredible fall outfit. She matched great colours and different fabrics. At the arrival she wore one of her wool coat from Max Mara. It was first seen when she attended a dinner visiting Strasbourg in France earlier this year, here. Do you remember it? I clearly do. Love a first sight. She then embraced the style by wearing a reused floral printed blouse from Isabel Marant. Mary showed us this blouse visiting Hedegårdens School in Roskilde on occasion of an event focusing on child marriage, here. At that time she wore the black blouse with matching trousers. This time she was wearing a reused asymmetric black skirt.

Personally I think it is way more interesting talking about accessories that beautifully complete her look. Let's start with jewellery. Mary wore old pendant earrings and a matching golden ring from Georg Jensen. These pieces goes way back in time. At this moment I can not find pictures of when she has worn them before. But I will show you, when I find some. She also embraced the style with her golden Orit Elhanati necklace, a black Bottega Veneta bag and brand new pumps. I learned about her new pumps from Heaven, who identified them as Hugo Boss.

Love how her makeup look all natural and polished. Works just great that she matched colours - hair, makeup, accessories and clothes.

#ChildMothers & Gender Diversity

Friday, November 10th

-#ChildMothers-
Crown Princess Mary arrived in a great mood to the Bella Center in Copenhagen on the day of the presentation. The new book was released on occasion of Bookforum 2017, here. The Crown Princess was warmly welcomed with flowers and greetings. It was as patron of UNFPS the Crown Princess attended the presentation of book #ChildMothers -17 girls stories about becoming a mother as a child. It is also as patron of the United Nations Population Fund that the Crown Princess has written the precepts of the new book. It tells the story of 17 girls from give different developing countries, who have all become mothers in a very young age. All the girls are between 12 and 15 years old. While visiting Burkina Faso last year, here & here, the Crown Princess met one of the girls from the book. During the visit she also talked about this trip and told about her experience. She also got a chance to meet with Pernille Fenger, CEO of UNFPA's nordic office.

-Gender Diversity-
The Crow Princess also attended, as guest, the meeting Gender Diversity Roundtable Denmark, here, taking place in the UN City in Copenhagen. Members of Roundtable were gathered to discuss concrete tools and solutions on how to increase the number of female executives in Denmark -so far we got 15. Well, maybe it is actually time for more women to become top managers? Let us hope meeting's like these will give more women the opportunity. I strongly respect that the Crown Princess was representative at the meeting even though it was "just" as a guest. For several years, as protector of multiple organizations and foundations, she has fought for women and girls' well-being, health and rights. So, her presence is particularly important at such meetings and sends a strong signal to the outside world about her point of view. A great respect that she manage to become political though she can't vote or express herself about politics.

During, both the presentation of #ChildMothers and attending the Gender Diversity meeting, Mary was stunningly dressed in a brand new, bright red Isabel Marant blouse. It features the most incredible details. I learned about the identity at UFO No More, here. Think you should take a look if you don't already know about this site -just a tip. She embraced the style by pairing the new blouse with a black pencil skirt, which I think could be new as well. At the arrival we got a glimpse of her black Prada coat (worn a million times before) and her black Dolce & Gabbana first seen two years ago at Bookforum 2015here. Do you remember it? She looked absolutely wonderful in her business-chic outfit. Especially because of the jewellery she had chosen to wear from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. And of course the studded Valentino pumps. This outfit makes me wanna wear my pencil skirt again. How would you style a pencil skirt? -like Mary or completely different?

-Arrival-
Time is up. We do not have to wait any longer for the Crown Prince couple to go to Japan on their official state visit. Don't know about you, but this is something I have been looking forward to in a very long time. It is not the first time the Danish couple visits Japan. Back in 2015 the couple had their first official visit in Japan, here. This year the Japanese Crown Prince couple visit Denmark -a memorable visit, here. This time the Crown Prince couple will stay in Japan from October 8-12th where they are at the forefront of a business- and cultural promotion. It is also a part of a celebration of diplomatic relations between Japan and Denmark throughout 150 years. At the arrival Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were warmly welcomed by the Japanese Crown Prince and Crown Princess. To me it looks like it was a happy reunion for the two couple's to meet again.

Already at the arrival Mary showed us a high standard for what to expect in the next couple of days during the visit. She stepped out of the car wearing a brand new multi colour coat, which appears to be from YDE Copenhagen (SS16). It was identified by Heaven. She embrace a chic outfit by wearing a white silk blouse found at Britt Sisseck (AW15), here, and slim black trousers, a combination I am pretty sure we have seen on one occasion before this. Actually with a similar coat, from the same designer as at the arrival. Do you recall the event I am talking about? Earlier this year she attended Copenhagen Fashion Week 2017 where was dressed in a white blouse and black trousers, here. To me it looks like the exact same outfit. This time, in Japan, looks just as great as the first time. Don't you think? Any of them you like better? She accessorized her chic and very modern-looking outfit with mesh-paneled suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Wonder if she was also wearing earrings and a couple of bracelets as well? -a combo we have seen a lot lately. No doubt that I am going to wear something similar to this outfit tomorrow.

-Denmark Festival & Walkathon-
The Crown Princess couple attended their second, out of three, events around noon in Toyosu Park, Tokyo. The event the Danish royal couple attended is Denmark Festival & Walkathon made in collaboration of ECCO Japan (shoes) and Novo Nordisk (medicine). Simply wonderful to see the couple together for this event in Tokyo. They make a great working team and both of them really seemed to enjoy every single moment of the festival and the following Walkathon -a 5.7 km. walk, which they participated. Walkathon is a walk held by ECCO each year to collect money for the Heart Association and SOS Børnebyerne. As part of the Walkathon, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary handed over charity donations to two NGO winners. Several Danish companies participated the festival such as the royal couple did, who got a change to meet each during the first day of this official state visit. Overall, the festival focuses on Denmark and Danish lifestyle. Also with with focus on the diplomatic relations between Denmark and Japan, which celebrate 150th anniversary this year.

Attending the event in Toyosu Park made Mary change clothes twice, which is rather unusual. I see why she did but it is just not something we see very often. Usually she makes one clothes-changing during a day o an official visit. So far, she had already change twice and there is a dinner as well in the evening. When the couple first arrived to the Denmark Festival she was dressed in one of her reused white blouses from Isabel Marant and what I believe is a pair of new blue trousers. Actually, I think it makes a great look. The brown Chloé cross-body bag she has worn a several other occasions. As with the bag, her new nude ballet flats has been found, by Kate, at Chloé. She managed to find that close-up I didn't find. Mary had accessorized her relaxed outfit with jewellery from both Dulong Fine Jewelry and, what I believe, is an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen ring. I also got a glimpse of a pair of sunglasses. At first I thought it was her old leopard sunglasses from Dolce & Gabbana, but the most I look at them I think these are new, here. A lovely outfit with great potential.

The third outfit she showed of was also at the festival. She changed from ballet flats to new ECCO sneakers. From one white blouse to another. Mary matched a white t-shirt with her beige Ralph Lauren trousers worn the first time earlier this year at an Free of Bullying event. So them Mary and her husband participated the 5.7 km. Walkathon she was perfectly dressed in a practical outfit. But no complete outfit without a few accessories, which is probably why Mary had chosen to wear a cap from Cavalleris Toscana, her brown cross-body bag from Chloé, sunglasses  and jewellery from Cartier and Dulong Fine Jewelry. Do you have any favourite outfits so far? Personally, I think I will go with her second look -the white Isabel Marant blouse and new Chloé ballet flats.

-Dinner-
In the evening Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were invited to a dinner at the Danish Embassy in Tokyo. The dinner was hosted by Ambassador Freddy Savne and his wife Lise Frederiksen. According to the official program the Crown Prince couple got the chance to enjoy some art at the Embassy lent from State Art Foundation. Unfortunately, no picture have been published nor have I been able to find any reference mentioning the dinner. So, I assume it was a more private event.

Focus on child marriages

Wednesday, September 27th

Accompanied by Minister of Development Ulla Tørnæs, the Crown Princess visited Hedegårdens School in Roskilde on occasion of an event focusing on child marriages. The event was organized by Save the Child Denmark. This was the first of several visits to Danish schools to focus of child marriages and how to combat the fact that it is taking place. The Crown Princess arrived in a great spirit where she was welcomed by a flower girl handing over a beautiful bouquet of flowers to the future queen of Denmark. As part of the visit to Hedegardens School she also gave a speech. In her speech the Crown Princess mentioned UN's 5th world goal about "gender equality" that include abolition of child marriages in 2030. During the one and a half hour she spend in company with the pupils, she was told about their world with child marriages and UN's world goals, such as the kids were sining and playing theatre for the Crown Princess, who seems to very much enjoy herself.

Attending the event in Roskilde, Mary was dressed in a chic and everyday-like outfit. She showed up in a brand new black blouse featuring a lovely floral print and matching black trousers. The blouse was identified by Heaven as Isabel Marant. Not that style we are use to see from Isabel Marant I think, but it makes a great look. In my opinion she was nor underdressed or overdressed for the occasions. She had embraced the style by wearing a pair of beige suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi, which I am so sure we have seen once or twice before -I can't seem to remember when or where. Do you? To me they are not new but of course I could be wrong in that assumption. As goes with the rest of her outfit, non of the other accessories made her look overdressed at all. With a golden Orit Elhanati necklace and diamond earrings from Hartmann's she completed her look beautifully. Anything you would have done differently? Lately, we have seen her with loose hair and that classy blowout. Visiting Roskilde Mary dazzled with a simple ponytail matching the rest of her everyday look. A wise choice!

First day at school for a prince and princess

Finally time is up for Prince Vincent and his twin sister Princess Josephine to begin school. As their two older siblings, Prince Christian and Princess Isabella, the twins started at Tranegaard School in Hellerup on Tuesday August 15th. Also Princess Athena, daughter of Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, has also started school the following day. Yes, all of them are growing up so fast. Think their parents feel the same way. As with Prince Christian and Princess Isabella, the Crown Prince couple joined the twins on their first day. The prince and princess met the national- and international press in front on Frederik VIIIs palace, Amalienborg, accompanied by their very proud parents. Crown Prince Frederik followed his lively daughter, while the Prince Vincent closely followed his mother a little more shy and uncomfortable. And who wouldn't be? -it is your first day at school with new faces everywhere and then you even have to face a crowed of journalists and photographers. But the Crown Princess was aware of her sons uncertainty and made sure he was all right before leaving the square in front of Amalienborg. Moments later, everything was back to normal and we even got a smile from the little prince. For sure it is an emotional day, where much is going on. I clearly remember when Prince Christian and Princess Isabella had their first day in 2011, here, and 2013, here. It was two exciting days for all of us. Proves that the kids are growing up and are ready to get older along with the rest of us. It is a big step for a child to go from kindergarden to begin school.

An event like this even gives us the opportunity to take a look at previous outfits, which I know many of you loves just as much as I do. In 2011 when Christian began school, Mary was casual dressed in a printed dress and ballet flats. Two years later on her daughters big day she dazzled in snake pumps and black trousers. Because of these rather casual outfit I was surprise to see that her outfit was way more formal (if that is even the right word to describe her look?). Heaven is the one to identify her dress as Isabel Marant Étoile. Think it will look great with a pair of pointed pumps and/or maybe a blazer. Don't you think? Meeting the press she was wearing her brown leather sandals from Yvonne Knoé seen at previous occasions and a matching belt. If you ask me, then the colour combo is simply perfect. Mary embrace her "first-day-at-school" with couple of bracelets, a necklace and golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, a golden one from Orit Elhanati, her Cartier bracelet and (of course) her Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond rings. I have always been in love with the way she wears several bracelets and necklaces at the same time. Makes a great look. I have come to enjoy this very much myself. You should try it.

Crown Prince Frederik matched his wife by wearing a brown blazer and kerosene colored trousers. First day at school also takes the right outfit for the twins. Prince Vincent was dressed in comfortable green shorts and a light blue button-down, while his sister stunned in a blue dress featuring a bow and pleated skirt. And of course, brand new backpacks -Josephine's with horses and Vincent's is LEGO.

Charity performance in Bellahøj

Thursday, September 8th

Crown Princess Mary attended, as patron, a charity performance in Bellahøj to support the Kidney Association.

This event is one of those that turn out to be a more private event. Am I the only one with this thought? The way Crown Princess Mary interacted with the children and was all relaxed. Even her outfit supports my claim. We will go back to that a little later.

Surrounded by elephants, clowns and kids everywhere the Crown Princess atteneded a charity performance to support the Kidney Association, here, taking place at Circus Danneborg in Bellahøj. She took part of the event as patron of the association. From every picture I have seen from she really seems to enjoy herself. Such as the kids did. With lots of fun, colourful costumes and impressive tricks; it was all about the children. To give all of them a memorable day. For sure I am not the only one who have seen the incredibly sweet photos of Crown Princess Mary and the three-year-old feeding an elephants, right? Does not get any better.

I really adore Mary's casual look when visiting the circus in Bellahøj. What a great idea to match a bell-shaped blouse with fitted trousers, which by the way are a reused pair from Hugo Boss. If I am correct; Mary share these with Queen Letizia of Spain. The textures is just great. She embraced the old trousers with a brand new blouse. You noticed that, right? Trying to identify this new piece I came across both ZARA and Ganni - as one of you suggested. Non of them worked. Thanks to Kate we now know that her new blouse are from Étoile Isabel Marant. It features some incredible details: the laser cut pattern, the neckline and cuffs. A really lovely blouse. Can not wait to see it again. Maybe with a pencil skirt?

To match the outfit she had chosen to wear blue accessories. The blue suede wedges have troubled me for years. I have come to the conclusion that L.K. Bennet designed them. The bluish clutch is from Jerome Dreyfuss. Very pleased to see this again, here. Blue looks just great with the trousers and new white blouse. Other than this Mary embraced the style with several bracelets from, among others, Dulong Fine Jewelry and Cartier. An all good-looking Crown Princess in Bellahøj.

I am not completely sure when the Crown Prince couple and their four children are leaving Denmark to celebrate Christmas in Australia along with her family, but it is actually going to happen. This will be the first time in 11 years she is about to spend Christmas with her Australian family.

Before it is time for the family to go to Australia for Christmas, the Crown Princess had one last job to attend back in Denmark. She visited the Children's House SIV, here, in Farum. The initiative is her own and the request as well. It goes a year back when she handed over the Cancer Society Honorary Award in February 2014, here. She showed great interest in the place and wanted to see how the children's house works in everyday. So, the Crown Princess arrived at exactly 10:30 am. At the arrival she was warmly welcomed by Sussi Olsen, head of the Children's House SIV, and Board member Berit Torm. During the visit she was given a guided tour around the house and see for herself how the house is furnished to adapt the children's individual needs. Literally, she was everywhere -talking, chatting, sitting at tables, playing with the kids on the floor and attended a sining game. The sining part is an important part of the process for the children, because one would like to do as much as possible to help the sick children develop skills, done by play and interaction with other children. This is really what the Children's House SIV is all about -to give seriously ill children and their families the best possibilities during at rough time in their lives.

At this last visit before going with the rest of her family to Australia, she showed up wearing a beautiful and chic everyday outfit. Mary was dressed in some good old pieces worn at several other occasions. I sense much confusion about when and where she has worn these pieces before. So, now I have to try to convince you that I'm right. The first time Mary dazzled in that Etoile Isabel Marant knitted jacket was in 2014 when she visited Herlev Hospital to hand over the Child Heart Foundation's Scholarship, here. Like in 2014, she wore the jacket with a knitted skirt. This has now been identified by Kate as a Hugo Boss design. If you got a moment, then take a look at the beautiful kitted pattern. Absolutely smashing. She beautifully embraced the style by wearing black tights and suede Prada boots. I have a similar pair myself and they are perfect for this time a year. With red nails and Marianne Dulong jewellery she completely won my heart with this outfit. A great idea for a different autumn outfit. Differently something I am going to try out myself.

Old news: Phoenix as musical

October, Saturday 10th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary watched the musical Phoenix in Tivoli, Copenhagen, along with all four children.

Like every other school kid, the four royal children have one week vacation on Friday. This gives them the opportunity to get some time along with their mother and father. So, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary spend Saturday afternoon along with all four children watching the musical Phoenix in Tivoli in Copenhagen. The musical is preformed by more than 100 of the most talented young people in Glassalen in Tivoli. It is a family musical by Gunvor Reynberg and Christian Dahlberg. Phoenix is an adventurous journey back to the ancient Russia, a magic journey that will awaken your imagination. It was a private visit and only a few were lucky enough to get a couple of photos of the royal family. I was really not sure whether or not I should show the photo because I have the attitude that we should give the royals some spare time on their own. I have discussed this issue with you a million times before. They also need a little privacy. Nevertheless, I have chosen to share this with you anyway because I don't think it offend anyone. I am in no doubt that both parents and children enjoy the day.
According to Frederik et Mary the Crown Princess also attended the wedding of the American ambassador in Denmark taking place in Copenhagen City Hall the same day as she watched the musical with her family. Here the Crown Princess was wearing one of her fantastic YDE Copenhagen dresses as in 2011 when she attended the 100th anniversary of the American Scandinavian Foundation in New York, here

With a couple of pictures from their day in Tivoli, we also have the chance to see what Mary was wearing. I have always loved her outfits, especially the ones being worn as everyday-looks. This time she was dressed in good old clothes in navy blue colours -my favourite. The calendar tells us October, which means cold and windy weather in Denmark. So, Mary had chosen to dress as the weather wants to. Slim jeans, a navy blue sweater matched with a white button-down and her reversible Massimo Dutti coat. She embraced the style with a pair of Isabel Marant boots and what could be her Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses. A classy look accessorized with her caramel brown Ralph Lauren bag, which is on the top of my wish list right now. Don't think I will ever be able to afford it, but I still adore the brown bag.

Child Heart Foundation Scholarships 2014

Tuesday, November 25th

Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of the Child Heart Foundation's scholarships at Herlev Hoptial.

Along with her lady-in-waiting Tanja, that Crown Princess Mary arrived to Herlev Hospital as guest of honor and patron of the Child Heart Foundation, she attend the presentation of the Child Heart Foundation's scholarships. Herlev Hospital is specialized in heart- and cancer patients. She was warmly welcomed by both employees, patients and other attendances. During her visit she had the chance to speak with a few patients hospitalized at Herlev Hospital and some of the employees. They shared their experiences with her and Mary listened with great interest in everything she heard. After it was time for her to present this year's Child Heart Foundation's scholarships which took place at Hotel D'Angleterre in Copenhagen. The three scholarship winner are researcher Mette Høj Lauridsen, Juliane Theilade and Anja Marie Bornø Jensen. Congratulation to all three winners!

Mary is exactly where she is suppose to be; right where she loved to be, helping. She seemed so happy. At both the visit at Herlev Hospital and at the presentation, she was dressed in a black and red outfit. The incredibly red jacket is from Etoile Isabel Marant as the knitted black skirt is a Hugo Boss creation. Both pieces have been seen at previous occasions, here. The outfit was matched with a black blouse and tights as well as her SAND Copenhagen pointed pumps. And of course we have that beautiful black Carlend Copenhagen clutch. What I really liked about her outfit is her hairstyle! Curly hair makes her look even more pretty. Shame we only get to see her with curly hair occasionally. Mary embraced the style wearing a few pieces of jewellery. I (think I) see a pair of black round earrings but I only have bad quality pictures so I can't tell for sure. Then we have her good old golden Cartier watch and a bracelet that is a bit more special and unique then the rest of it. It has never been confirmed by Mary but her bracelet was a wedding anniversary gift from her husband on occasion of their 10 year anniversary. It features carved images of their four children and their monogram centered in the middle. This magnificent present is made by Ragnar R. Jørgensen
