#ChildMothers & Gender Diversity

Friday, November 10th

-#ChildMothers-
Crown Princess Mary arrived in a great mood to the Bella Center in Copenhagen on the day of the presentation. The new book was released on occasion of Bookforum 2017, here. The Crown Princess was warmly welcomed with flowers and greetings. It was as patron of UNFPS the Crown Princess attended the presentation of book #ChildMothers -17 girls stories about becoming a mother as a child. It is also as patron of the United Nations Population Fund that the Crown Princess has written the precepts of the new book. It tells the story of 17 girls from give different developing countries, who have all become mothers in a very young age. All the girls are between 12 and 15 years old. While visiting Burkina Faso last year, here & here, the Crown Princess met one of the girls from the book. During the visit she also talked about this trip and told about her experience. She also got a chance to meet with Pernille Fenger, CEO of UNFPA's nordic office.

-Gender Diversity-
The Crow Princess also attended, as guest, the meeting Gender Diversity Roundtable Denmark, here, taking place in the UN City in Copenhagen. Members of Roundtable were gathered to discuss concrete tools and solutions on how to increase the number of female executives in Denmark -so far we got 15. Well, maybe it is actually time for more women to become top managers? Let us hope meeting's like these will give more women the opportunity. I strongly respect that the Crown Princess was representative at the meeting even though it was "just" as a guest. For several years, as protector of multiple organizations and foundations, she has fought for women and girls' well-being, health and rights. So, her presence is particularly important at such meetings and sends a strong signal to the outside world about her point of view. A great respect that she manage to become political though she can't vote or express herself about politics.

During, both the presentation of #ChildMothers and attending the Gender Diversity meeting, Mary was stunningly dressed in a brand new, bright red Isabel Marant blouse. It features the most incredible details. I learned about the identity at UFO No More, here. Think you should take a look if you don't already know about this site -just a tip. She embraced the style by pairing the new blouse with a black pencil skirt, which I think could be new as well. At the arrival we got a glimpse of her black Prada coat (worn a million times before) and her black Dolce & Gabbana first seen two years ago at Bookforum 2015here. Do you remember it? She looked absolutely wonderful in her business-chic outfit. Especially because of the jewellery she had chosen to wear from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. And of course the studded Valentino pumps. This outfit makes me wanna wear my pencil skirt again. How would you style a pencil skirt? -like Mary or completely different?
