Opening of "Children Need Arts - Global Summit"

&

Visiting Daycare Center Christianehøj

09 May 2023

Crown Princess Mary was warmly welcomed by children and young people from both Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Island, when she arrived to attend the opening of the international children's culture summit "Children Need Arts - Global Summit".

The summit acknowledges the importance of arts and its cultural meaning for children and young people and its impact on their self worth, potential and opportunities.

Around noon, the Crown Princess attended the 50th anniversary of Daycare Center Christianehøj. It was celebrated with songs, lots of balloons and some speeches.

For 50 years, Christianehøj has taken care of citizens with a late brain injury in Gladsaxe Municipality. Part of the citizens everyday is among others yoga, musicquizzes, sining, etc.

Dressed to impress! Mary dazzled wearing her bright red Dolce & Gabbana dress. Wonderful for celebrating both the opening of "Children Need Arts - Global Summit" and the 50th anniversary of Daycare Center Christianehøj.

She matched the beautiful dress with magnificent suedes red reused pumps from Gianvito Rossi. One time, she wore them on a business trip in Vietnam (here).

The delicate and elegant necklaces are from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. Necklaces I imagine means of great deal to her. She has worn them a lot lately.

Maybe you saw her brooch? The stunning piece was identified as Marni. I truly hope for a close-up one day. At first I thought her brooch was new, but somehow I think she has worn it before at a Christmas church service in 2016 (here) and when visiting the Jorn Museum in 2017 (here). Love when she is wearing brooches. They are my favorite piece of jewellery. That is why I really adore, when Mary is wearing brooches because it (hopefully) inspire more of us to wear these fine pieces.

Annual meeting with the Mary Foundation

08 May

Crown Princess Mary hosted an annual meeting with all collaborators and partners of the Mary Foundation on Wednesday taking place at Frederik VIIIs Palace at Amalienborg. The meeting made room for discussing results and future plans for the foundation and its partners, here.

Among others the Crown Princess thanked the presidum for their support to combat social isolation. She pointed out that it all starts with a good conversations. Problems aren't solved within a moment; it takes time, but results shows that is matters.

Mary looked great in a spring colored outfit at the meeting. She had chosen to wear one of her old white Alexander McQueen blazers. It was first worn in 2015 when she and Princess Isabella visited Samsø, here. In 2015 she matched the blazer with a powder pink Marni blouse. So did she this time. Lovely colors, don't you think? Makes me want summer even more now. With black fitted trousers Mary embraced the rest of the look.

The matching earrings are from Dulong Fine Jewelry, just as two of her bracelets are. This year these earrings celebrate 10 years of anniversary as part of Mary's wardrobe. Her stunning diamond ring is also a Dulong Fine Jewelry creation. Cartier designed her third bracelet worn at the meeting. I simply adore the combination of jewellery. Looks fresh and modern at the same. I have come to love that necklace quite a lot. It is from Nadia Shelbaya. What better than embracing this chic business-look with a pair of snakeskin pumps. That's what Mary did. I want to try this outfit myself one day.

Museum Jorn in Silkeborg

Saturday, November 25th

It is with great pleasure I look forward to watch the Crown Prince couple's Prizes each year. This year is no exception. But more about the award show in my upcoming post. Now it is all about a visit somewhere else in Silkeborg. A Dane caught the couple arriving by train to Silkeborg, here, before they were about to visit Museum Jorn, here. The museum is dedicated to the Danish painter Asger Jorn and his masterpieces.

Arriving to the museum in Silkeborg, the Crown Prince couple were warmly welcomed with flags, smiles, flowers and lots of greetings. Despite the cold many Danes showed up to get a glimpse of the couple, who took plenty of time meeting as many as possible before entering the museum. The royal couple got the chance to see the regular exhibition and the latest exhibition by the American artist Cindy Sherman. They were given a guided tour around the museum where they were introduced to, among other things, Jorn's very experimental approach to art. Agser Jorn is differently an artist, who has become famous for his own way of making art, here.

Before or after the Crown Prince couple visited the Museum Jorn, they participated a rehearsal for tonight's award show taking place in Jysk Musikteater in Silkeborg, here.

When the couple visited the museum in Silkeborg, Mary dazzled in a black an burgundy outfit perfectly matching the season and weather. She embrace a chic and stylish look by wearing a pair of brand new trousers in burgundy. I have already had several requests and seen many more. Therefor, I am a proud to tell you that I was actually able to identify them as Hugo Boss. She paired the new trousers with a black knitted blouse, which remain unidentified. But if you like the style Aiayu got a similar model also owned by Mary, here. Thought they look very much the same; it's not the case. Aiayu confirmed that to me in an email on a previous occasion.

When arriving she wore a good old piece from Prada styled with a brand new brooch. When it comes to other jewellery worn during the visit, I see a pair of earrings which could be from Hartmann's and a few rings. The brooch is a creation by Marni.

Both pointed ankle boots from Hugo Boss, burgundy leather gloves and nail polish matched the rest of the outfit with such perfection. Makes me wanna try something similar. Frederik also looked very handsome in his navy trousers, beige sweater and brown blazer. They just make a great couple.

Christmas (Eve)

Saturday, December 24th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a Christmas service in Aarhus cathedral along with all four children. The Queen, Prince Henrik such as Prince Joachim and Princess Marie attended the service with their their children.

It has been a tradition for me and my grandfather to go to church every year on Christmas eve; something we have been doing the last 15 or 16 years I think. As this is a tradition for me, it is for the Danish royal family. Each year as good as everyone in the family are going to church on December 24th -the day where Christmas is celebrated in Denmark. I'm sure some of you might have the same tradition. Well, Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik had invited their family to this Christmas service which took place in Aarhus cathedral because the family is celebrating Christmas to Marselisborg castle this year. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended in a great mood along with all four children. Also Prince Joachim and Princess Marie were present accompanied by their two children Prince Henrik and Princess Athena. Prince Joachim's two oldest son's, Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix also enjoyed an hour or so along with their family. Everybody seemed to be in a splendid mood!

Christmas eve is differently one of my favourites because you get to wear one of your most beloved (and dazzling) outfits. We rarely see what Mary is wearing a such private occasions, but still we got a glimpse of her because of the service in Aarhus, though it's not must. No doubt that she was keeping warm in one of her lovely grey wool coats - still unidentified. In a few photos we get a glimpse of what she is wearing underneath. To me it looks like a brand new burgundy dress featuring a turtleneck. A closer look at some pictures I so sure it's not lace but a glitter dress. I am still having trouble finding the right one. No ideas?

This she had matched with diamond earrings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, black tights, a black Quidam clutch and of course her incredible black SAND Copenhagen pointed pumps. I also see what I believe is a new brooch from Marni. Can't tell where it's from. Simple, yet very elegant. Perfect for Christmas eve. As the rest of her outfit, Mary's makeup and hairstyle were simple and polished.

Saturday, December 24th

The most wonderful photo has been shared of Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik and their eight grandchildren. I was taken on Christmas eve in front of a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. The whole family were gathered at Marselisborg castle. From what I see in this one photo, I am sure they had a great evening together.

Well then, Merry Christmas from the royal family!

Sunday, December 25th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended Christmas service on December 25th taking place in Aarhus cathedral. Prince Christian and Princess Isabella attended as well, such as the Queen, Prince Henrik and Prince Joachim and Princess Marie.

Another tradition the royal have is to go to church the day after Christmas eve on December 25th. It was also the case this year. Something like this does not change which I think it just great. Like the day before Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik were present accompanied by their two son's and their part part of their families, because only Prince Christian his sister Princess Isabella, Prince Nikolai and Prince Felix attended the Christmas service. The Queen and her husband warmly welcomed the family members at the arrival. Think they had a great time together. Wonder what it feels like to attend a service the same day, in the same church as the royal family? I wouldn't mind trying that. This only makes me even more excited about it's soon time to celebrate New Year's eve! -with big dressed, tiaras and grand ball! Let it soon be December 31st.

First thing I noticed when I saw pictures from the service, was that Frederik and Mary were dressed in matching outwear. Both in grey. Splendid match. Such as Prince Joachim and Princess Marie were in matching coats. Well-dressed men and their wife's! Mary was a bit more simple than the evening before, which of course is understandable. This time she was in a dark grey turtleneck blouse featuring long sleeves and a pair of black trousers. I think it is her black suede ankle boots from Prada she's wearing to match the trousers. Very elegant and sophisticated she embraced the style with a pair of diamond earrings from Hartmann's as well as a pair of diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

Thursday, December 29th

Only one thing was missing to make the perfect Christmas and that is of course a royal Christmas card from Frederik and Mary. I'm alway thrilled to see which picture they have chosen to become this years Christmas card photo and it is just a lovely, here. All four children smiling and having fun! Wearing shorts and short sleeved blouses that may indicate it was taken during the summer. Maybe you even remember this is not the first time we get a Christmas card where the family sits on that couch. In 2010, before the twins were born, we got this incredible photos of Frederik and Mary along with Prince Christian and Princess Isabella sitting on the very same couch, here

Christening of "Princess Isabella"

Saturday, June 6th

Crown Princess Mary and Princess Isabella visited Samsø to named the new ferry Princess Isabella in Sælvig Harbour. Mother and daughter also visited Samsø Berries and Samsø Nature School. This is Princess Isabella's first official job.

The two royal ladies were welcomed to Samsø with all what it takes to have a royals visit. They arrived shortly after noon for Princess Isabella to name a new ferry by her own name Princess Isabella. And she did a great job and was, as her mother, relaxed and smily. On every photo to find the Crown Princess looks so happy and seems so proud of her daughter. Princess Isabella was handling the entire situation with her natural person and smily personality. Even though this was an official event, I think we saw the opposite of a normal official visit. Nothing was too formal. I'm sure mother and daughter had a great day together. The big moment of Isabella's first job which are remembered forever by the press' photos, picking strawberries together at a field and we got to see them both dress in waders, walking in waters to the middle of the body -what a sight!

Mary was well-dressed as usual. I'm so thrilled to see her wear colours again. Bright pastel colours that perfectly goes with spring and the great sunny weather at Samsø. With a magnificent mix of colours, Mary made me think that I need a white blazer. Always thought it looks great, but now I'm totally convinced. It's now added to my wish list. Mary's has been identified by Krap Ennazuz as Alexander McQueen. She wore this gorgeous new dusty pink blouse from Marni. The ID was made by Royals & Fashion. I instantly fell in love with the colour and shape. It goes so well with the white blazer and black trousers. As a mother you sometimes need a quick, easy and practical hairdo and the classic ponytail is what you need. It is easy to make and even a simple hairstyle like the ponytail, it can chance an outfit with perfection. Remember, sometimes it is all about the small details. When we are talking about details, I'll draw your attention to her accessories. Let's start with earrings and the two rings on her finger because all three are designed by Marianne Dulong. For third or fourth time she was wearing the Anni Lu bracelet found by Diana. It is by a coincidence I found a similar model in a magazine from a Danish shoe designer Yvonne Koné and I'm so sure it's the same as Mary wore. She also flashed a brand new dusty pink cardigan which has been identified as Wuth Cashmere. I can't wait to try a similar outfit myself.

By no doubt Isabella are going to embrace her mothers amazing style. She was even dressed in her own little pastel blue blazer matching her mom's. With a Norlie ruffle blouse and dark trousers which might be from the same designer, she was just so cute. I think some of you might find it as interesting to find Isabella's clothes as Mary's and actually more of Isabella's outfit has been identified then her mother's, with the help from a great reader, Krap Ennazuz we now know that her blue blazer is from Zara Kids and ballet flats from Petit by Sofie Schnoor. If it's possible for you to find a photo of the Princess' braided hair then I think you should take a close look. Mary's hairdresser might have used his magic to create this wonder and finishing it up with a blue flower.
