Day 1. UN Climate Conference 'COP30'

November 11, 2025

Field visit

Queen Mary has traveled to Brazil on official business attending UN's Climate Conference 'COP30'. The city of Belém will host the two-days conference.

The Queen first attended a field visit in the area around Belém. The Amazon faces many challenges, which is why she visited the production site Ilha do Combu along with researchers and various organizations to highlight the importance of our rainforests. The First Lady of the state of Pará, Daniela Lima Barbalho accompanied the Queen at the cocoa production site.

The Queen also had the opportunity to see examples of agriculture and gastronomy during her visit.

She was one big smile when visiting the cocoa production site Ilha do Combu in Belém. That makes a rather plain outfit sunny and warm. Mary was dressed in a pair of new black trousers from Columbia and a chic dusty brown linen blouse. Not quite sure the blouse has been identified yet. Nor if she has worn it before. The braided leather belt was a great detail!

Mary stayed casual by wearing reused Ray Ban sunglasses but no outfit without a few pieces of jewellery. The stunning diamond necklace is a favorite from Louise Grønlykke and the golden bracelets are from talented Dulong Fine Jewelry. Her hiking boots are old ones from Salomon.

Official welcoming

Queen Mary was officially welcomed at the Hangar in Belém, where COP30 takes place these days. She had the honor of visiting the exhibition of COP30 as well.

The Danish business delegation traveling alongside the Queen also had the opportunity to meet Queen Mary herself. After some time at the Danish Pavilion she attended a reception on occasion of the conference.

I love the bold colors of this outfit! The beautiful green Stella McCartney blouse was everything I needed to complete the day. And just look at that magnificent printed FARM Rio skirt. Even the length is perfect. Mary first wore the blouse when visiting Ethiopia in 2019. Back then she matched it with another printed skirt from Max Mara.

Mary styled her outfit with simple black heeled sandals from Gianvito Rossi. She has a matching pair in brown leather. She had chosen fine golden earrings and a couple of bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The massive golden bangle is a creation by Rebekka Notkin and the diamond necklace is Louise Grønlykke.

Day 1.

Official visit to Greenland

29 June 2024

What we have all been waiting for: the King and Queen have started their official visit to Greenland. It turns out the Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine accompanied their parents. The family are staying at Dannebrog while visiting a number of Greenlandic cities.

The family arrived in Pituffik Space Base with an official welcoming in Qaanaaq. The couple also visited Qaanaaq back in 2004, when the Queen attended her first official visit to Greenland along with (then) Crown Prince Frederik and her parents-in-law.

After a reception at Qaanaaq City Hall and a following 'kaffemik' they arrived at Aasiaat and were welcomed at Aasiaat Museum and Niels Egedes Square.

A long day has passed and the royal family boarded Dannebrog to dock Qeqertarsuaq tomorrow.

The weather seems a bit on the close side in Qaanaaq. Mary was warmly dressed in a pair of black wide-legged trousers and a brand new knitted sweater. We get a glimpse of a soft reused ba&sh blouse underneath.

Mary had then chosen a new caramel wool-blend coat from Stella McCartney. Like these oversize coats/blazers but not for me. Makes me look smaller and wider. The down-vest is an old one from Uniqlo.

She styled the outfit with black boots, cozy brown gloves, a knitted hat (new?) and an amazing navy blue scarf. I also see a golden diamond bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry and stunning shiny earrings. I have never been able to identify the earrings. Maybe one day. Her ring is Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

The Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2022 - part 2

05 November 2022

Handing over the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes goes back to the couple's wedding, because it was a wedding gift from Bikuben Fonden. Since then, the couple have honoured foundations, organizations and artists with an annual award show. These shows takes place in a different city every year. This year: Ringsted. More specifically, Ringsted Congress Center.

Somehow, it is always kinds magical, when they arrive to present the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes. It was also a magical moment, when they arrived to the Congress Center in Ringsted.

The show was even as magnificent. Great artists performed and entertained for almost two hours. In between the performances, the couple presented winners of the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2022. This years winners were:

The Crown Prince Couple's Social Prize was given to the social organisation GAME, who arrange practice and tournaments in different kinds of street spots.

The Crown Prince Couple's Culture Prize was received by theater director Tue Biering.

The Crown Prince Couple's Stardust Prizes were presented to cellist and composer Josephine Opsahl and Social Sundhed for their work to strengthen, how people in vulnerable life situations, are able to care better care of their own health. Congratulations to all of them!

This is truly not what I had expected to see her in for the award show. Usually, I have very little imagination to what Mary will wear for events like these, but this surprised me. The powder pink colour is indeed beautiful next to her dark brown hair and the jumpsuit itself is very well-fitted, and still something is bothering me about the outfit. I should be ashamed to say that. Maybe it is the combo of hairstyle and outfit. Some wavy curls would have softened the look a bit more. Think I would have preferred that. Nevertheless, Mary was Queen of the evening.

Even though, I am a bit troubled about the clothes, I adore what she had chosen to wear as accessories. Her earrings reminds me of a pair of purple Amethyst earrings of hers (here). But the earrings worn at the award show are for sure not purple. The style is similar, but still there are differences. We also get a glimpse of something shiny on her left arm. A diamond bracelets and some rings. Mary's golden cuff is from Rebekka Notkin.

Wish her powder pink satin pumps from Gianvito Rossi were more visible because they are simply gorgeous! Almost like pearls under water.

One year with Global Refugee Forum

15th December

For fourteen days the Crown Prince family has been isolated in their home at Amalienborg because Prince Christian was then tested positive for COVID-19. Under the circumstances, he is all fine and none of the other family members have been infected. They were all tested negative. Great news this close to Christmas.

As a last event before it is time to enjoy Christmas together with her family, Crown Princess Mary participated the celebration of the Global Refugee Forum's one-year anniversary. She participated the event as patron of DRC Danish Refugee Council - Denmark's largest NGO.

It all started a year ago, when the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) first gathered both government officials, business leaders and civil society from around the world to discuss solutions to the global refugee situation. Now, a year later, the Crown Princess participated a digital panel debate on their first anniversary. The debate took place at the DRC office in Copenhagen. Crown Princess Mary was the one with the opening speech.

The event was hosted by both DRC Danish Refugee Council and UNHCR.

Celebration the one-year anniversary was one thing. The digital panel debate also aimed to have yet another focus: how young people have been affected by the worldwide pandemic. Something, the Crown Princess has been very committed to already on other occasions lately.

Kongehuset Billed Bladet Billed Bladet DRC

The pandemic is also the reason why we have little photographic evidens from the event. Most of what we see is from outside DRC's office. At the arrival, Mary clearly showed how to dress both comfortable, fashionable and keep warm at the same time. Something I think can be a little problematic at times. The lovely light brown coat is a reuse from Julie Fagerholt Heartmade. Many of you have already shared your thoughts with me about this coat. You seem to love it as much as I do.

She styled it with her emerald green trousers from Massimo Dutti. They come with a matching blazer as we saw on November 12th, when she attended the 20th anniversary conference for Children, Youth & Grief, here. A closer look revealed that Mary had chosen another old item - a navy blue Stella McCartney blouse. What a magnificent match, right? Blue, green and brown. Nothing more perfect for this time a year. I would love to copy this outfit. The multicolored scarf has also been worn before in 2016, here.

Mary embraced the glory of her outfit with shiny diamond earrings. They feature both white and yellow diamonds. They have not yet been identified. The beautiful round diamond necklace is from Katerina Pitzner. Mary has two different sizes: small and this one in medium. A couple of her rings are old ones from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. We really need a little diamonds right now. Her golden bangle is from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

In the same color as the trousers, she had chosen her lovely blue leather bag from Prada and pointed suede pumps from Jimmy Choo. I am crazy about this outfit. Black is an easy color to wear, which is why most women often chose to wear black - including myself. But the world is full of colors and we need to embrace them much more also on a daily basis. I hope Mary's outfit will inspire you to be brave and wear some colors from now on.

Day 1. Work visit in Ethiopia

26 March

During the day

Crown Princess Mary is on an unofficial work visit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on March 26-27th. The visit focuses on equality, health care and rights for girls and women. She is accompanied by, among others, Danish Minister of Development Cooporation Ulla Tørnæs. The two of them both visited a fertility clinic and a reproductive health center, here, and attended a meeting with female business executives and entrepreneurs, here. Crown Princess Mary also had the honor to attend a meeting in the Parliament.

From everything I see, she was in a splendid mood during her first day in Ethiopia. She was all smiles. What I read is that the Crown Princess impressed everybody with her presence. Seems like it was one big experience for her being in Addis Ababa.

Looks like Crown Princess Mary and Minister of Development Cooporation, Ulla Tørnæs started the day with a run in the streets of Addis Ababa, here.

The last time Mary visited Africa, she stayed in Kenya (here & here). She was all casual dressed in sneakers, button-down shirts and simple colours. So did she this time. Both herself and her companion, Ulla Tørnæs, embraced some printed skirts and plain blouses. No doubt that Mary knows how to dress for success.

Reception

In the evening, Crown Princess Mary and travel partner Ulla Tørnæs, Minister of Development Cooporation attended a reception hosted by Karin Poulsen, the Danish ambassador in Ethiopia. The reception took place at Karin Poulsen's place in Addis Ababa. The Crown Princess was warmly welcomed with smiles, flowers and handshakes. Pictures shows that she gave a speech as part of the reception. Billed-Bladet made a short footage of her evening in Addis Ababa, here.

As guest of honor she dressed up for the evening wearing yet another colourfull, printed skirt and a simple white button-down. She embraced the style with sandals, a matching bag and hoop earrings. A comfortable and chic outfit for an evening in Ethiopia.

The Women's Board Award 2019

01 February

It has been some pretty busy days for the Crown Princess lately. She has both attended the Medal of Honor dinner for Navy officers, here, a couple of visits in Aarhus, here, the opening of the Cultural Year 2019 between South Korea and Denmark, here and the previous day she participated a meeting, here.

On February 1st the Crown Princess arrived to Egmont Publishing in Copenhagen to present Women's Board Award 2019. The award has been handed over for the first time five years ago. Women's Board Award aim to create awareness about greater diversity in the top of Danish business Also to support the process of increasing the amount of women in Danish boards. This year Crown Princess Mary entered the stage shortly after she arrived and gave a speech. She then handed over the award to Global Account Partner of IBM, Helle Valentin. Congratulations with the very find award.

Attending the presentation of the Women's Board Award 2019, Mary was dressed wearing a brand new jacket and a pleated black skirt. At first sight the jacket reminded me about something Ralph Lauren created. But it turned out that Stella McCartney is the place to go as several of you also suggested. Thanks to all of you who share your finding's about Mary's new wool jacket. She matched the new jacket with a reused pleated skirt. It was first worn back in 2014 when attending the premiere of the documentary about Asger Jorn, here. Do you remember it? Think her outfit has a 40s vibe, here. The combo of a full skirt and figure hugging jacket.

Mary embraced the style at the award show by wearing reused stretch-knit ankle boots from Gianvito Rossi. She has worn these quite a lot lately. For the first time we get a closer look at how they actually look because no trousers leg cover them. The black leather clutch is from Quidam.

As jewellery, I noticed a square-cut emerald green ring. It very much reminds me of one worn in 2015 at a tennis event, here. Do you remember it? At the time I did not find out much about the ring. Nor have I now. Please, let me know if you manage to find a closeup of her green ring. I would very much like to get a close look. A new golden ring was also noticed. It features several different colored stones. The company Maanesten agreed with me that the ring looks like one of their designs. Both bracelets are from Dulong Fine Jewelry. For sure you also noticed the beautiful butterfly brooch. It is her Mary Foundation brooch.

Choir rehearsal with DR Pigekoret

Monday, October 22nd

All unofficially the Crown Princess stopped by DR Koncerthuset in Copenhagen to meet DR Pigekoret (DR Girls Choir). It is the very first time the Crown Princess get the change to meet the choir as newly announced patron of the girls choir.

During the visit she had the opportunity to say hi and get to know the girls a little bit better. Chief Conductor, Philip Faber and Artistic Director, Anne Karine Prip both participated in the gathering. Chief Conductor, Philip Faber and members of the choir gladly told Crown Princess Mary all about the community and their common passion for music. Such as the importance of being good rolemodels and taking care of values.

The Crown Princess also enjoyed a few songs while the girls choir practiced.

Never thought I would get into the style of vests. But now I am. Just look at that incredible black knitted vest Mary is wearing during her visit at the girls choir. I am a fan already. Love how it features a high neckline and sharp-cut "sleeves". She had chosen to embrace the style by wearing her new vest with a white button-down shirt. Who does not love a white button-down? Think it looks great how we do not actually see the collar. Never really thought of that as an option. I am going to try that myself. Other than this, Mary wore a pair of new trousers as well. Three new pieces. We rarely get that lucky. Somehow her new look reminded me of Ralph Lauren, but Heaven and Sarah managed to identify her trousers as Stella McCartney.

In a way I have come to love this outfit pretty much. Goes perfectly well for this time a year in Denmark.

She accessorized her outfit with a few outstanding pieces of jewellery. From what I see, must of the jewellery are golden. Great next to the colours of the trousers. I see golden loop earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, such as a bracelet, and her golden Cartier bangle. Other than this I see her incredible black Valentino's.

The Reumert Awards 2018

Saturday, June 9th

Crown Princess Mary arrived to Skuespilhuset in Copenhagen to attend The Reumert Awards 2018. She was warmly welcomed by CEO of Bikubenfonden, Søren Kaare-Andersen. For several years the Crown Princess has attended the award show honoring performances in Denmark throughout the past year. Handing over these awards goes back to 1998 and was established by Bikubenfonden - the same foundation, who work along the Crown Prince couple honoring artists, organisations etc. with The Crown Prince Couples Prizes. Unfortunately, we only have very little material from her evening in Skuespilhuset. Although I see a very smily and sincere Crown Princess, who gladly posed for the photographers and journalists. During the evening, she had the chance to meet with all the winners and congratulate them. I also want to congratulate all winners with this very special recognition.

No doubt about her impressing my with what she wore during the evening in Skuespilhuset, while attending The Reumert Awards 2018. I absolutely loved this powder pink Stella McCartney dress the frist time we saw it, but somehow I have just come to adore it even more. She looks like a movie star in that pink dream. Love how it makes her silhouette stand out so beautifully. I was inspired to do a new Pinterest board with similar dresses worn by her during the years. You find it here

This time she embraced the style by wearing a few jewellery from among others Cartier and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. She added a golden leaf hairpiece to her hairstyle as well. Seems like something she's very fund of these days. Well, hairclips are a clever way to top off a simple hairstyle. The pink clutch is a Prada creation. Last but not least, Mary styled her fairtale evening outfit with matching pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

Opening of 'Danish Women's Shelters'

Friday, April 20th

As guest of honor and founder of the Mary Foundation, the Crown Princess attended the opening of Danish Women's Shelters in Copenhagen. The shelter acts both as residence and counseling center for battered women with special focus on newly born mothers and pregnant women. The Crown Princess was kindly welcomed with flowers and lots of smiles when she arrival to the new shelter in the middle of Copenhagen. As part of the official opening she gave a warm and sincere speech. She visited the shelter along the Mary Foundation and brought with er a present -backpacks. These backpacks are a tool made by initiative from the Mary Foundation in collaboration with Ole Kirk's Fund and LOKK. They work as a way to get children to talk about their experiences. What these children have in common is that they come from families where violence is involved. Each year a couple of thousand backpacks are given to children at shelters across the country. The Crown Princess included the backpacks in her speech. Later, she was given a tour around the new facilities accompanies by Minister of Children and Social Affairs Mai Mercado and leader of the shelter Susanne Larsen.

The same say the Crown Princess also met with Dr Zsuzsanna Jakab, who is WHO Regional Director for Europe. The Crown Princess is patron of the WHO Regional Office for Europe. She was informed about the work of WHO and how the organisation try to improve healthcare- and livingstandards. Future activities were also discussed. She also payed a visit to a photo exhibition made by WHO and UNICEF about vaccines for vulnerable populations. This takes place as part of the European Immunization Week.

The temperature is rising and days are getting a bit warmer, which means times for spring outfits. During her day in Copenhagen both opening a new shelter and visiting a photo exhibition, Mary was beautifully dressed. She embraced a feminine set of colours and smashing silhouettes. Even the fabrics are worth mentioning. Mary had chosen to paired a brand new Stella McCartney blouse with a multicoloured pleated skirt from Diane Von Furstenberg. Both new pieces have been identified by Heaven. I first thought she was wearing trousers. Then that striped "thing" showed up and I knew it was no longer trousers. What do you think about her new skirt? I kinda like it. Looks really nice with the powder pink silk blouse. I also like the way she accessories the outfit with golden jewellery. Mary dazzled wearing earrings and a ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a Orit Elhanati necklace. A very beautiful match.  I also see another necklace as well. To me it looks like this one worn back in 2010 and 2015, here. Both the Gianvito Rossi pumps and Quidam clutch are featuring the most incredible blue colour. The skirt is still a surprise to me, but I think is makes a great spring piece. Especially the way she matched it with jewellery and all.

For several years the Crown Princess has attended the presentation of the Carlsberg Foundation Research Awards always taking place at Glyptotektet in Copenhagen -she did the same this year on Sunday September 3rd. The Crown Princess attended the evening event at Glyptoteket as guest of honor and was warmly welcomed with smiles and flowers at the arrival. During the evening she entered the stage to hand over two scholarships, which were given to Professor Mette Birkedal Bruun for her work with church history and to Professor Karl Anker Jørgensen for his work with organic chemistry. Mary dazzled wearing a brand new asymmetric evening dress at the event along with the Carlsberg Foundation. Her dress was quickly identified by Heaven as Stella McCartney. Let us for a moment admire every single detail of this dress -every little detail of the dress i carefully put together. And it looks great on her. She wear her new evening dress with great pride and comfortable. Love the golden belt, which beautifully embrace the female silhouette. Also identified by Heaven is Mary's new pink sandals, which had been found at Aquazzura. I am very much in love with the dress, but even more her new sandals. Do you like the combination of similar colours? -or would you like to have seen a different colour accessories? I am amazed how well the colours match. Both dress, shoes and earrings perfectly match. She embraced the style by wearing some golden accessories as well. Lately, she has been wearing her Orit Elhanati necklace, Cartier bracelet and Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelets just as she did at the presentation at Glyptoteket on Sunday. But wait, we still have one thing left: that new golden sequin clutch from Prada. What an outfit. She spoils us.

Meeting with Kræftens Bekæmpelse

Tuesday, August 22nd

● Instagram ●

Unofficially the Crown Princess attended a work meeting along with Kræftens Bekæmpelse and some of their representatives. Only a couple of photos have been published taken by someone from Kræftens Bekæmpelse. From what I see the Crown Princess was warmly welcomed and arrived with a huge smile on her face on a sunny Tuesday. At the meeting she was informed about the organizations work -present activities and future projects. According to Kræftens Bekæmpelse she was very interested in everything presented to her at the meeting. The Crown Princess has for years been involved in Kræftens Bekæmpelse's work as, among others, their patron.

We have had a few wonderful summer days in Denmark, but not many. One of them is for sure the day Mary payed a visit to Kræftens Bekæmpelse. An opportunity you can't miss and she didn't. Mary wore a brand new creamy outfit. For a very long time I was sure she was wearing a new blouse and an old Day Birger et Mikkelsen skirt. We really do not have any quality pictures from the event, which makes a bit more difficult. With help from Heaven the theory has been proven wrong. Heaven has found a dress from Stella McCartney that looks like a two piece outfit. It is not. In fact Mary is wearing a dress. A pretty cool design. Can't wait to see it again. Would really also like to have seen which pair of shoes she wore with this outfit, but I can't tell. Embracing the style with a Dulong Fine Jewelry bracelet featuring different stones, her diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and a long necklace she dazzled at this meeting. She has a couple of similar necklaces, but I think this one is new.

University Startup World Cup 2016

Friday, October 7th

Crown Princess Mary attended the University Startup World Cup 2016 at Børsen in Copenhagen.

In recent years there has been much focus on creative solutions, innovation and not to forget entrepreneurship. Some of them contributing to this, are students from various university programs. and this is what University Startup World Cup 2016 is all about. Here students, from more than 30 different counties around the world, participate in the competition for the most innovative project. So, University Startup World Cup is really the ideal place to start your own business. And who else to invite than Crown Princess Mary of Denmark to present the winner? That was why Mary arrived to Børsen in Copenhagen in the afternoon. After a few speeches, were the tension triggered and Isara from Indonesia won the prestigious prize. I congratulate the winner! After the presentation Mary got the change to meet the winning teams, who introduced her to their projects. She listened with great interest.

Since the first time we saw her in this specific outfit, have I dreamt of this outfit at a slightly more official event. It would then take over 2 years to actually happen. First time was in 2014 when the Crown Princes couple attended a private birthday celebration for Princess Benedikte at Amalienborg on occasion of her 27th birthday, here. I've loved everything about this outfit and I still do. Adore the combination of colours and printed Stella McCartney coat. Wonder why we haven't seen it before? -maybe in the spring or in the summer. Like the first time; she styled the coat with a pair of white trousers, her powder pink Gianvito Rossi pumps and a suede Hugo Boss clutch. Simply a wonderful combo of colours! Don't you think? Elegantly she wore diamond studs from Hartmann's and some diamond rings created by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Really, really a lovely outfit. Then I do not mind all of it is a reused outfit. To me this would never be outdated.

Advise for Life 2015

Advise for Life is a project developed by the Mary Foundation, Nykredit, the Mother's Help, LOKK and Østifterne. Advise for Life offer economic, legal and social counseling for free to women who have been in a violent relationship. The Crown Princess arrived to Kalvebod Brygge in Copenhagen around 2:00 pm. to attend Advise for Life's counselor day 2015 to hear about how the Mary Foundations project has helped abused women. The project has so far helped over 2,500 women to a better life without violence. When the Crown Princess arrived she was in a great mood and she was warmly welcomed. The next couple of hours she spend in company of several representatives from both the Mother's Help, LOKK etc. Stories and experience were shared during the meeting. Crown Princess Mary also gave a speech as one of the first things after she arrived, here. From what I see, I believe she enjoyed the day.

I was so glad to find out that several new pictures have been published from the event. Finally, we get a closer look at what she was wearing. The first pictures didn't show us that much. She had chosen to wear a symphony of navy blue colours mixed with silver details. I assumed that her blouse was new and it is. A similar one was found at Heartmade Julie Fagerholt, but in fact it's from Stella McCartney. Super chic dotted blouse. In navy blue colour as the blouse, are her trousers and coat. In a way I think we have seen that coat because, but I am not quite sure. What do you say? Do you recognize it? She embrace her navy blue look with a matching belt, Pura Lopez suede pumps and her cross-body bag from Quidam. Her outfit was topped of with a few golden bracelets from Marianne Dulong and a beautiful curly hairstyle. A really lovely outfit I wouldn't mind trying on myself. I am crazy with all the blue. Scandinavian women loves blue, me included.

Program: Tokyo
  • 2:00 pm. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a seminar on fish and Shellfish.
  • 2:50 pm. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary visited Kyu Asakura Ke Jutaku garden.
  • 4:00 pm. The Crown Prince couple attended a seminar about the Arctic.
  • 6:30 pm. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended Greenlandic Music.
  • 7:45 pm. The Crown Prince couple attended a welcoming dinner.

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary during their first day in Tokyo

We are just so spoiled these days! Only about a week ago the Crown Prince couple attended the state visit of the King and Queen of the Netherlands while staying in Copenhagen. It only lasted a couple of days but I enjoyed every single moment. And now Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary are on the go again. This time the couple are on an official state visit to Tokyo, Japan. The visit is part of promoting Greenland in Japan which is why the couple travel accompanied by a Greenlandic business delegation. Also Minister of Food Dan Jørgensen, Minister of Hunting, Fishing and Farming Karl Kristian Kruse and Greenlandic politician Kim Kielsen have joined the Danish royal couple while visiting Japan.
Frederik and Mary began the state visit with a seminar on fish and shellfish followed by a visit to the Kyu Asakura Ke Jutaku garden -referred to as traditional style. Well, I wouldn't mind paying the garden a visit if I ever are going to Toyko. The sun was shining and everything I see is that the couple enjoyed to start the day in these surroundings. They were given a guided tour around the garden by the former home owner from the Asakura family. Before attending dinner in the evening, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess joined yet another seminar and attended Greenlandic Music event.

If I was told I had to spend three days in Japan accompanied by ministers, a business delegation and probably 200 photographers and journalists from all around the world, I for sure would be scared for a moment. Secondly, I would go crazy for what to wear! Japan and Denmark are different cultures in many ways, also when it comes to fashion. So, what would you choose to wear? Well, Mary chose something very simple with only little accessories. It is the second time she's wearing that double breasted Stella McCartney coat featuring a snake print. Thanks to all of you who reminded me that Mary has worn the coat before. Sometimes it is hard to chose between plain dark or bright colours, but I think Mary did a great job this time by mixing it up.  She paired the coat with black trousers and Prada ballet flats. At first I was sure she was wearing her flats from Chanel, but thanks to Royalista they have correctly been identified as Prada. When comparing the two of them I figured out that they are indeed very much alike. It was only when the couple visited the Kyu Asakura Ke Jutaku garden she wore the flats. Afterwards Mary changed to a pair of nude pumps from Christian Louboutin. With Hartmann's earrings, a couple of diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and a suede clutch from Hugo Boss Mary simply amazed me with her beauty.

Crown Prince Frederik & Crown Princess Mary attending dinner

Around 7:45 pm. local time the Crown Prince couple arrived to attend a dinner on occasion of their visit in Tokyo. Only very few pictures and articles have been published from the dinner taking place in the evening which is quite a shame. I'd love to have know a little more of what was going on during the evening. From what I see I think the couple had a great evening in each others company. Also Minister of Food Dan Jørgensen, Minister of Hunting, Fishing and Farming Karl Kristian Kruse and Greenlandic politician Kim Kielsen attended the dinner. Speeches were given and time were set to have a chat.

Fortunately, it does not take that many pictures for me to make a loooong and complicated comment on what she was wearing at the dinner. But don't worry, I won't do that. Still, I feel desire to share my thoughts with you. It is with help from owner of Treasures & Tiaras I share with you the identify of Mary's brand new sky blue lace dress. It is from Dolce & Gabbana (AW14). Never thought of that designer myself but I am in no doubt that she is right. It features the most incredible details -long lace sleeves, a beautiful neckline, stunning silhouette and lovely colour! The lack of pictures does make it a bit difficult for me to judge what kind of jewellery she's wearing. I see a pair of diamond earrings, a thin golden bracelet and a rather large blue ring. All perfectly matched the dress, even the new grey suede pumps matched! To me it looks like a pair of Gianvito Rossi pumps and a grey Hugo Boss clutch the same model as earlier in the day in another colour. I’m one of those girls who adore lace and pastel colours! So for me it does not get any better than this.

Junior golf in Asserbo

Tuesday, September 30th

Crown Princess Mary participated in the presentation of a prize given to Asserbo Golf Junior Club on occasion of the Children's Welfare Day

Asserbo Gold Junior Club had a special guest visiting them yesterday, because Crown Princess Mary showed up. She was there to hand over a prize which was given to the club because of their gathering to the Children's Welfare Day which the Crown Princess is patron for. She was met by over 20 energetic and happy children who was more than ready to play some gold with Mary, because of course there was time to play golf. It is not often you get to play golf with the future queen of Denmark. Mary also took time to met and talk to some of the attendance who had showed up to get a glimpse of her. It was all very relaxed and the usual bouquet of flowers was replaced with a few short roses.

Just like the atmosphere, Mary was very relaxed dressed in a pair of black trousers and light blue shirt. Think we have seen it before somewhere, but I can't really remember when or where. Nor do I know its identify. Do you know anything about it? She matched the button-down shirt with a lightweight down jacket. Would love to have one myself, but somehow it looks a bit... strange on me. Do you own a down jacket? -What do you do to make it look outstanding? Can't wait to hear from you. She had decided to wear  a pair of beige New Balance sneakers featuring golden details and then a snake printed scarf which I am pretty sure is from Stella McCartney. Nothing other than her engagement and weeding rings, she embraced the simple and casual style when playing golf in Asserbo.

Celebrating Princess Benedikte at Amalienborg

Friday, May 2nd

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended a reception at Amalienborg in honor of Princess Benedikte's 70th birthday on April 29th.

On behalf of Princess Benedikte's (who is the oldest of the Queen's sisters) 70th birthday, close royal family members were invited to a reception at Amalienborg. The reception took place at Christian VIII's Palace. Frederik and Mary arrived to the birthday reception hand in hand, walking from their own house, Frederik VIII's Palace, right across the castle square. The sun shone perfectly and the Crown Prince Couple really seemed to look forward to spend the day along with their family. Despite it was a part of Princess Benedikte's official calendar, only a few photographers had showed up on the castle square but my sweet Agnés Colbert had. She took some really great pictures of the couple, she allowed me to share with all of you! Please remember to ask her for permission if you want to share her pictures as well. She deserves credit for these wonderful pictures. Thanks! As you see several tourists had a once in a life time experience when Frederik and Mary, out of nowhere, walked across the castle square. An experience I would to have one day.

Only thing left to say is pre-happy birthday Princess Benedikte from Styleofmary and its readers!

The reason why I think unofficial outfit are the best is because we like to be surprised. The fact that I'm always impressed by her style when she is attending private sessions, is just a bonus. Oh... Mary is really always dressed perfectly! I'm stunned by what she wore at the reception on behalf of Princess Benedikte's 70th birthday on April 29th. I think I am in love with this outfit. The powder pink and white colour makes it the most perfect summer look. So feminine. Isn't she just beautiful? According to Angela, Mary's new snake print coat is from designer Stella McCartney. I'm surprised that the mix of snake print and powder pink make such as great combo, but it does. I would so much like to see what she is wearing under the new coat - something white to match the trousers? Or maybe pink? Nothing indicate which one of it, it is. Could also be a third option I haven't thought of. Staring for a hour on her new coat, I noticed her incredible pointed mesh pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Is my heart beating out of my chest right now? -I think it is! To me, a pair of shoes like this is art. Shapely art. Matching the shoes she wore a brand new suede clutch. I managed to find it at Hugo Boss because of a glimpse of the logo. I can't wait to see all of it again! She accessorized the outfit with some of her favourite jewellery: a Shamballa Jewels and Georg Jensen golden bracelets, rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and those dazzling earrings featuring two different jewellery stones. They are adjustable in length. We have both seen them short and long. Shining as the sun, Mary made me feel in love with her look, everything from top to toe.
