Presenting the annual Christmas Stamp 2023

&

Opening of "A world-class Child and Adolescent Psychiatry"

03 November 2023

Every year since 1904, the Christmas Stamp Foundation has presented a new Christmas stamp. The money collected goes to the five Christmas Stamp homes.

The Christmas Stamp Foundation try to help strengthen wellfare and self worth for more than 1,000 children and young people every year. It is also the foundations core to fight against unhappiness, loneliness and bullying.

On Friday, Crown Princess Mary attended this years presentation as patron of the Christmas Stamp Foundation (here). Artist Lisa Grue presented the new stamp along with the Crown Princess. Lisa Grue mastered this years stamp. She was inspired by the title "Come along into the Christmas forest".

Around noon, she arrived in Hellerup to attend "A world-class Child and Adolescent Psychiatry" (here). The conference is arranged by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Psychiatry Foundation - which Crown Princess Mary is patron for.

Among others, she was given an inside in "Mind My Mind". A project offered to children and young people suffering from depression, behavioral disorders and anxiety.

Crown Princess Mary at the presentation of the Christmas Stamp 2023

Later, she attended the opening of "A World-class Child and Adolescent Psychiatry"

This has to be the most incredible addition to her wardrobe! Her brand new floral printed dress from Saloni is outstanding. I can't get enough of it. The print. The colors. The silhouette. I wouldn't mind wearing this at any time. For any occasion. Mary styled the new dress with a reused navy blue Fonnesbech coat and matching burgundy suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

Love that Mary chose rather simple accessories with the dress. Her earrings are old ones from Figaros Bryllup and her rings are custom-made by Dulong Fine Jewelry. She also wore a couple of bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry and Rebekka Notkin.

Her fine little brooch shows the theme of this years Christmas Stamp.

The new defibrillator

1st March

The Crown Princess was not far from home, when she welcomed a new defibrillator at the entrance to Amaliehaven right next to Amalienborg. This new defibrillator was given to the Crown Princess back in 2019. A gift from the Heart Association, for which Crown Princess Mary is also the patron.

In 2019, the Heart Association gathered money for more defibrillators. The collected money was enough for 400 new defibrillators across the country. One of them is now placed at Amaliehaven in Copenhagen close to Frederik VIII's palace, where the Crown Prince family lives.

Crown Princess Mary wished to locate the new defibrillator somewhere in Copenhagen, where many people often gathers. That is by Amaliehaven was chosen. CEO of the Heart Association Anne Kaltoft handed over the new lifesaving instrument. I guess, the Crown Princess had her thing to say, when the place was chosen and she seemed happy about this location.

The Heart Association shared a little video on their Instagram of the Crown Princess on that behalf (here).

Even though sun and warmer weather has arrived to Denmark, we still need cosy outerwear. Mary's look is exactly what I mean. A longer wool-blend coat, gloves and a higher neckline. I would wear this in an instant. Love the combination of the navy blue Fonnesbech coat and the visible details of the her Ted Baker jumper. She first wore this magnificent coat at Copenhagen Fashion Week in 2016, here and at the latest at the Children's Day 2020, here.

The Ted Baker knitted jumper was a hard one to find. She wore it raptly in 2019, but it took quite awhile to identify it. Now we know who designed it and the characteristic ruffled details around the neckline and hemline, identify it right away. My guess is that Mary was wearing black trousers for this look and maybe some suede pointed boots. That would look great.

She simply embraced the style with darker blue leather gloves and a relaxed blowout. Her smile is indeed the best accessory. These pictures really made my day. The outfit is lovely and the occasion is thoughtful and important. Win-win.

The Children's Day 2020

20th November

Two live streamed events with only a couple of days in between. That is new. First, the Crown Princess participated in a live stream on occasion of the Youth Public Meeting on Wednesday, here, and then two days later yet another one with UNICEF. A great way to great your message out without too many people gathered at one place.

The live stream took place in Tivoli on occasion of The Children's Day 2020. Organized by UNICEF. When arriving to Tivoli, she was welcomed by her "debate group" (Vilma, Esther and Thea) and Sofie Østergaard - a UNICEF ambassador. The five of them seems to get along right away and that is important when to discuss a private matter such as well-being.

Vilma, Esther and Thea answered questions about, among other things, what it is to be a child and young person in Denmark. Also questions like children's well-being under the corona and about children's rights in a global perspective were discussed. Serious questions that can be answered in many ways. Points to the three girls, who did a great job.

She also asked the young girls for some help. Crown Princess Mary had been asked to pick a song for a popular Danish program called "Fællessang - hver for sig". A program organized by conductor Phillip Faber. Vilma, Esther and Thea helped her pick the song "I Danmark er jeg født" with text by Hans Christian Andersen.

If this look is not inspiring, then I do not know what is. I especially love her outwear. When arriving to Tivoli, Mary was wearing her old navy blue Fonnesbech coat. A stunning piece. Even the length is inspiring. So is the color. She matched it with a reused watercolor printed scarf from Paul Smith. We first saw this scarf 9 years ago in 2011. She has worn it at a couple of public event, but mostly it is worn at more private events. Like when the family visited LegoLand during their holliday at Gråsten, here. I really like this combo.

The interview revealed what she was wearing underneath that smashing coat: a simple white button-down blouse and black wide-legged trousers. An amazing look. I always loved these wide-legged trousers of hers and the Etro belt. She wears them so beautifully. Wish I had the hight and figure to wear such trousers. I don't.

She embraced the style with golden jewellery. I see hoops from Dulong Fine Jewelry; a couple of magnificent necklaces from Orit Elhanati (one of them is rather new) and a course her diamond band from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Nothing new about these pieces of jewellery, but she wears them like it was the first time - every time. I am sure you also noticed her pointed ankle boots from Pura Lopez. They go back to 2013. A lovely pair of fall accessory. Mary also accessorized her outfit with her blue leather tote from Prada. Once again, her grace overwhelmed me.

Opening of the new panda plant

11 April

As new patron for Copenhagen Zoo, Crown Princess Mary arrived to officially open the new panda plant for the public. The previous day she accompanied her mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe, at the inauguration of the same facility, here, which has been designed by Danish architect Bjarne Ingels. Congratulations to Copenhagen Zoo with the two new members.

On the day of the official opening ceremony, Crown Princess Mary had brought with her two other members of the royals family - her two youngest. Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine joined their mother at the opening. The Crown Princess also shared a few of her own photos, here.

With some help from Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine the new panda plant is officially open to visit. The three of them were in a splendid mood (despite the cold weather). Seems like all three of them had a wonderful time with each other and the pandas. They were also given a guided tour around the facility as Crown Princess Mary had seen one day earlier. Nevertheless, she was sincerely interested in everything she was told and shown.

All three of them were covered in warm coats and jackets at the opening because of the weather. At the moment it rains, snows and the sun shins. In Denmark we got a little bit of everything. Mary wore her old navy blue Fonnesbech coat. She first wore it at Copenhagen Fashion Week in 2016, here. In January this year she also showed up wearing the coat at the launch of the CEO Agenda 2019 in Davos, here. Personally I like it best in 2016. Can't really tell why, it is just the combo of event and others clothes worn at the time. Looks like it is still available online. Time for a new coat?

Opening the new panda plant Mary matched her Fonnesbech with fitted black trousers and new ankle boots. I have still not been able to identify these new boots, so let me know what you have in mind. She accessorized the look with beautiful diamond earrings and probably a ring or two.

The launch of CEO Agenda 2019

January, Wednesday 23rd

Feels like months since I have made my last post. Last time we had the pleasure to see the Crown Princess, was when she attended the third New Years eve reception at Christiansborg castle, here. That was around twenty days ago.

Then on Wednesday, Crown Princess Mary appeared in Davos, Switzerland. She had traveled to Davos to attend a Roundtable Session on occasion of launch of the CEO Agenda 2019 made for the fashion industry. What the agenda focuses on is all about fighting climate changes. Eight different fashion companies have been part of developing the CEO Agenda 2019. Companies like ASOS, Nike, Sustainable Apparel Coalition and BESTSELLER.

The Crown Princess was present at the event as patron of the Global Fashion Agenda. She was accompanied by among others CEO of Global Fashion Agenda, Eva Kruse. The two of them have met on numerous previous occasions. Now they have one more to add.

We have not seen much from her stay in Davos. Actually only two pictures have been published by the royal house on the occasion. One more has been found; taking by another participant of the event. It is a little surprising that we have not got more, but I think we will have to do with what we have a the moment.

Mary had chosen a very simple and chic outfit for her appearance as patron of the Global Fashion Agenda. She matched a pair of brand new trousers with a reused black blouse. Heaven shared her idea of a possible identification of Mary's new trousers. They features a high waist, buttons and checkered pattern. Heaven found her trousers at from Sandro. She embraced the style by wearing also a black reused blouse from Hugo Boss. Nothing too loud. The same goes with her jewellery.

Other pictures shows that Mary tried to keep warn in one of her blue coats from Fonnesbech. This coat was first worn when she attended Copenhagen Fashion Week in 2016, here. Do you remember it? The colour of the coat made her match it with a new scarf found with your help at ZARA. Both hair, makeup and nail polish colour were very modest and simple.

Designers' Nest 2016

Wednesday, August 10th

Just four days ago the Crown Princess attended several different events in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil along with her husband on occasion of the Olympic Games 2016. Before leaving on August 6th, just in time to bring her two oldest children to school after their summer vacation on Monday, she watched a water polo game, a basketball game and closely followed the Danish swimming athletes fighting to get one of the coveted medals. She is now back home and Copenhagen Fashion Week 2016 is started.

The Crown Princess is patron of Designers' Nest, which is why she attended the show and presentation of the Designers' Nest Award 2016 taking place at Børsen in Copenhagen. Around noon she arrived to Børsen in a great mood. She was warmly welcomed by the sweetest flower girl, who handed over a bouquet of flowers created by Det Sorte Træ, here. The bouquet perfectly matched her new mustard coat. I often wonder how it is possible that her bouquets always match in colour to what she is wearing at the event? Is is planned ahead? Well, the flower girls was not the only one thrilled about meeting the Crown Princess. Herehere and here you see some of those who got a chance to be photographed with the Crown Princess.

Following, she watched the show of the Danish brand Fonnesbech from first raw. It was with great interest the Crown Princess noticed everything shown on the catwalk.

Though I am very interested in fashion and especially sustainable fashion, I am not hysterical about Copenhagen Fashion Week nor Designers' Nest. I followed the two events with great interest and fascination. Also with a sense of inspiration. It is always inspiring to see what the designers have created and what's the next trend - at least according to the designers. With Mary as patron makes it even better. Especially the media is very much interested in Mary when attending these events. It makes a good story with a Crown Princess, who are working for a more sustainable world and what to gain from sustainable solutions.

So what to wear on an occasion like this? She keeps surprising me, though I have been following her for more than ten years. I lost my breath when she stepped out of that car. Mary was dressed in her white Julie Fagerholt Heartmade dress featuring gold details. It is the dress from her interview in Eurowomen from April, hereAbsolutely amazing to see the dress again. Overwhelmed by the dress, I was completely surprised by the new coat - a long, mustard coat. Never really thought we would ever see Mary wear anything like this. Also despite she has a couple of similar coats. While trying to identified her new coat; Kate and I came across the coat at Fonnesbech (Collection: AW16). Very appropriate at a Fonnesbech show. She style her clothes with a pair of Sergio Rossi t-strap pumps and a Carlend Copenhagen clutch. A completely fabulous combo. She included only golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, a ring from same designer and a couple of tiny golden bracelets. Absolutely stunning.

On the cover of Vogue Australia

I am in doubt that you clearly remember the wonderful pictures of the Crown Prince couple in Vogue Australia in December 2004, hereTwelve years later, the couple is on the cover of Vogue Australia (August 2016) once again. Yes, it is really happening. A few pictures and a short review have already been published by the magazine itself, here. Vogue Australia cover some of the most prominent stars every month, but the August issue is way more interesting for us than usual, because the Crown Princess of Denmark is on the cover and is interviewed. Vogue editor in chief, Edwina McCann and fashion director, Christine Cenetenera were invited to the royal couples home in Copenhagen to make the interview with the Crown Princess. She was interview about speaking for the voiceless, her role as a prominent world leader and her true passion for sustainable fashion. The pictures are taken by photographer Mario Testino, when he visited Denmark in May along with his team. He visited country also to celebrate his first exhibition in Denmark, here. The exhibition shows some of his most spectacular photographies also including pieces of the Danish royal couple. From what I have seen and heard, everything about this issue is incredible. The pictures shows an all relaxed couple in company with the children. We get a close up of the Crown Princess in some kind of royal blue dress/blouse and of course the cover featuring both husband and white all dressed up. The Crown Prince in a black suit and his wife in a brand new Alex Perry gown - identified by Heaven. I have gathered more informations about what the Crown Princess is wearing during the interview and we get to see some really incredible pieces.

The issue is available from July 11th.

Copenhagen Fashion Week 2016

Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of Copenhagen Fashion Week 2016 at Copenhagen City Hall.

Time for a more detailed post from when the Crown Princess attended Copenhagen Fashion Week 2016 taking place at Copenhagen City Hall. I am all excited about her presents at the fashion week. A couple of years she did not attend, but this year she was. Makes it a little more special and glamourous. The Crown Princess arrived with a great smile on her face and in a splendid mood along with her dear friend Ellen Hillingsø. The fashion week is where the Danish designers show what they have been working on for a whole year. Designers like Baum und Pferdgarten, By Malene Birger and Second Female presented their newest collection on special designed runway going all the way through the city. This year the Crown Princess was present at Tonsure's fashion show, which Countess Alexandra also attended. Unfortunately, I am not sure if they met. They probably did. After the Tonsure show, the Crown Princess attended another show by Jesper Høvring at the prestigious Hotel d'Angleterre. Before leaving she found time to greet the designer with his collection.

I am sure we all noticed Mary's outfit as the first thing when she arrived -everything else would be a little odd, right? She really stunned me with her outfit. Think I am in love. Unbelievably how she always manages to look this good. Have a feeling that you love her new coat as much as I do. A rather coat for her but with heels it doesn't matter at all. Often she wears different Danish designers at the fashion week, which is also the case this time. Kate was able to find her new blue coat at Fonnesbech (Collection: A2 collection), who also participated the event. Kate was a step ahead of me, because I had the same feeling that her coat could be a Fonnesbech design. It is described to be a combination of femininity and power. Matched perfectly with the blue leather Quidam clutch. First glimpse of the rest of her outfit, made me fall in love even more. That wonderful ruffle blouse and new trousers. I manages to identify her blouse as DAY Birger et Mikkelsen and Jennifer found her trousers at Julie Fagerholt Heartmade (Collection: Winter Holiday 2015). Mary accessorized her fabulous outfit with new Jewlscph earrings as Mai Manniche (Jewlscph's designer) proudly commented in a blog post, here, a golden Georg Jensen bracelet and her customized gold ring from Marianne DulongThe golden ring and red nail polish are a great match. Many brands make similar colours of nail polish and you probably already have your very own favourite red nail polish. Last, but not least she wore leopard pumps from Gianvito Rossi. I fell almost humble getting the chance to comment on such as beautiful look.

The Designers' Nest & Designers Nest Award 2015

Friday, August 7th

Crown Princess Mary attended the Designers' Nest show and handed over the prestigious Designers' Nest Award

Frederiketmary.centerblog.net 1

For a second my heart stopped when I saw the first photos from the Designers' Nest Award. I had a hard time breathing because the Crown Princess looked simply stunning. Every single component perfectly matched -classic with a twist of something modern. To me she was on the top of the game! At the arrival the Crown Princess was welcomed with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Later, after the show, Crown Princess Mary graced the runway herself to hand over a huge bouquet to the winner Swedish Sara Lundberg from the Swedish School of Textiles. When she was photographed with Sara, she was one big smile just as the winner. The two women had a little chat. I am sure Mary congratulated Sara Lundberg with the award.

We can't overlook that she was wearing that gorgeous new long vest. They are so trendy right now. I think we will see many of them during fall. I considered to buying one myself. Now I might actually do it. Mary convinced me with hers which has been identified as a Fonnesbech (SS15) creation. This is the first time we see her in their design. I really cannot describe why I like this new vest so much, but Mary with her brown hair wear it so beautifully. Notice the orange belt and lining. What a stunning detail. Maybe you think you have seen both the vest and the combination Mary wore at the Designers' Nest; you are actually on to something. One of my most dedicated readers told me a very interesting thing. Back in 2014 Mary was on an official visit in Canada with Frederik. Here she attended a fashion arrangement on September 18th accompanied by a woman with the name Eva Kruse. She is the CEO of the fashion industry network organization Danish Fashion Institute and the Copenhagen Fashion Week. Eva Kruse wore, on September 18th, the exact same vest as Mary in the combination with white trousers and blouse. You see a picture of Eva in her Fonnesbech vest on the picture right below. Because of the plain white clothes underneath the vest, both Mary and Eva both looked way taller. It's a great contrast. Take a quick look at Mary's trousers; love that she isn't not just wearing normal straight trousers. These JOSEPH trousers gives the outfit something special.

Carefully, I've studied every picture I have to see if Mary wore any kind of bag or clutch. I realized, she wasn't. This is the second time in a very short time. She accessorized her outfit with two golden necklaces -one from Orit Elhanati and one from Marianne Dulong. Mary has worn these two a lot lately. A great match. If you just need to have one yourself and can't afford a real Marianne Dulong, then I have this, here, to show you. Sent to me be a reader who love it as much as I do. It's a great match. Her earrings are from Marlene Juhl-Jørgensen. Again a bracelet or two from Anni Lu and Charlotte Wæhrens on the right hand and a brand new golden cuff featuring a huge diamond shaped stone. I was asked if it was a watch or a bracelet -differently a bracelet. My best reader Pernille has now found the right one. It's a vintage bracelet in 14k gold with a large citrine stone from the Danish jewellery designer Børge Niels Knudsen. The gold and silver diamond rings are both from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. She stunned also wearing studded Valentino shoes.
