75th anniversary of the ordination of women to the priesthood

I imagine it was a big day for many, when Crown Princess Mary attended the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the ordination of women to the priesthood.

The anniversary was celebrated with a church service in Vor Frue Church in Copenhagen. The Crown Prince Couple were married in Vor Frue back in 2004.

In 1948, Johanne Andersen, Ruth Vermehren and Edith Brennende was the first women to the priesthood in Denmark. Since then, many more have followed their example. Today, more than half of the parish priests today are women.

Spring has officially arrived with that gorgeous outfit! Mary wore a wonderful KITX by Kit Willow coat. It is almost a dreamy design. I always loved the details and the soft white colour. Looks like she matched it with a lace dress. Probably the same as in 2016 (here).

With only the clothes Mary won my heart, but with the chosen accessories, I am even more thrilled. Love it when she wears her hair up and that new hairband purchased from Miss Haidee Millinery makes it even more beautiful. It is a winner, right?

Her outstanding jewellery are from Sophie Bille Brahe, Halberstadt, Julie Sandlau and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Also favourites on her trip to Vanuatu, Fiji and Australia.

The old raffia clutch was a perfect match to the new hairband. It is still unidentified. Her nude python pointed pumps are old ones from Gianvito Rossi. What a look!

The foundation of the "Mary Elizabeth's Hospital"

On occasion of the Crown Princesses 50th birthday, Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen named their new children's hospital after her. On May 30th, she laid the very first stone of the foundation of the "Mary Elizabeth's Hospital - Riget for children, young people and pregnant women". What a gift.

The hospital is planned to open in 2025. It will be room around 900 patients. The hospitals core task is to help children, young people and pregnant women. An area of work, which has become Crown Princess Mary's main focus the last 10 or so years.

Under the foundation stone is a time capsule containing objects related to expectations and hopes for the new hospital. Crown Princess Mary held a speech at the event, which was later also placed in the time capsule.

Well, the weather in Denmark is not splendid at the moment. We differently need more sunny and warm days. Wearing lighter colours are more pleasant in good weather. Mary makes me want it even more with this gorgeous outfit. Look at those wonderful colours! That powder pink and white goes really well togther. A bit romantic and girly, but nothing over-the-top in my opinion. What do you think?

The stunning white coat is from KITX by Kit Willow. She has worn it before. One time in 2016, when the couple visited Boston (here). Looks like Mary wore one of her beloved creamy lace dresses underneath. She embraced the style with soft pink nappa leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi and an old (!) Susanne Juul hat. This pieces goes back to the time, when she was pregnant with Prince Christian (here).

Mary also styled her outfit with some incredible pieces of jewellery. Bracelets from both Cartier, Dulong Fine Jewelry and Rebekka Notkin. A ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a beautiful golden necklace from the same designer. The outstanding white pearl earrings are from Charlotte Lynggaard's latest collection BoHo. She is the head designer at Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Mary added diamond pendants to the earrings. Lovely, right? So classy and elegant.

From September 27-30th Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary have visited Washington and Boston along with a business delegation of 59 Danish companies.

The royal couple arrive on Tuesday. The final day of the Crown Prince Couple's visit to Washington and Boston.

Crown Prince Frederik was the first to begin his day at the DONG Energy Breakfast Event followed by the opening of a seminar on sustainability on energy and a visit at Harvard Kennedy School where the Crown Prince handed over a scholar on 250.000$ from Crown Prince Frederik Fund to Harvard University Kennedy School. 

Meanwhile Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of the seminar 'The Drivers of Food Innovation in the U.S. and Denmark' on innovation in the food sector, where she also gave a speech on occasion of the opening. Later the same day she was present at the opening of 'LEO Science & Tech Hub' at Cambridge Innovation Center and she visited the Boston Children's Hospital. A great experience for everyone. 

It was quite an experience for the attendance when Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary arrived to the State House to meet with Charles D. Baker, Governor of Massachusetts where the royal couple also enjoyed a lunch accompanied by the Danish business delegation, local collaborators and other representatives. One of the attendance who was there at the arrival is Sarah from Swedish Royal Fashion. She kindly share some of her photos with me and have given me permission to share them with you.

It has been called 'pale pink' but I'm pretty sure her incredible KITX coat is white. Kinda makes me happy every time I see it. How many times has she worn it by now? - two or three. Really classy, elegant and feminine. Think it looks amazing on her with the rather large cuffs, loose neckline and floaty skirt.

Radiant like a star she styled her outfit with a pair of pointed snake print pumps from Gianvito Rossi. Another interesting accessory worn on that day is the new green clutch. Because of the colour I noticed it right away. It is a two material clutch from Nina Ricci found by Heaven. Secondly I noticed the new long necklace and of course earrings, the diamond bracelet (possibly from Ole Lynggaard  Copenhagen, here) and two rings. The style really reminds me of jewellery from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, which is why I strongly believe it's their design. Then we have a golden Cartier bracelet. And her hairstyle. Simply gorgeous and romantic.

On the cover of Vogue Australia

I am in doubt that you clearly remember the wonderful pictures of the Crown Prince couple in Vogue Australia in December 2004, here. Twelve years later, the couple is on the cover of Vogue Australia (August 2016) once again. Yes, it is really happening. A few pictures and a short review have already been published by the magazine itself, here. Vogue Australia cover some of the most prominent stars every month, but the August issue is way more interesting for us than usual, because the Crown Princess of Denmark is on the cover and is interviewed. Vogue editor in chief, Edwina McCann and fashion director, Christine Cenetenera were invited to the royal couples home in Copenhagen to make the interview with the Crown Princess. She was interview about speaking for the voiceless, her role as a prominent world leader and her true passion for sustainable fashion. The pictures are taken by photographer Mario Testino, when he visited Denmark in May along with his team. He visited country also to celebrate his first exhibition in Denmark, here. The exhibition shows some of his most spectacular photographies also including pieces of the Danish royal couple. From what I have seen and heard, everything about this issue is incredible. The pictures shows an all relaxed couple in company with the children. We get a close up of the Crown Princess in some kind of royal blue dress/blouse and of course the cover featuring both husband and white all dressed up. The Crown Prince in a black suit and his wife in a brand new Alex Perry gown - identified by Heaven. I have gathered more informations about what the Crown Princess is wearing during the interview and we get to see some really incredible pieces.

Meet 'Stena Weco Impulse'

Crown Princess Mary attended the naming of one of Weco Shippings ships, followed by a lunch  at Langelinje in Copenhagen. The ship was given the name 'Stena Weco Impulse'.

This post is something I have been looking very much forward to share with you, because when the Crown Princess attend these naming ceremonies, she is always in such a great mood. So was she, on Monday attending the naming of one of Weco Shipping ships. The Crown Princess was one big smile at the arrival to the harbor at Langelinje in Copenhagen. Here she was warmly welcomed by chairman of the shipping company Weco Shipping, Johan Wedell-Wedellsborg. The two of them seemed to get very well along and enjoy each others company. They were laughing, joking and clearly having fun at the harbor. With a short speech, the Crown Princess introduced the soon named ship docked in her background. Tradition says a bottle of champagne is needed to properly name a ship. Do you know about this ceremonial tradition? The smashed bottle of champagne now proved that the major ship was named 'Stena Weco Impulse'. It was celebrated with balloons, music and confetti. The Crown Princess also attended the following lunch on occasion of the naming. Tables were beautifully decorated; perfect to host a lunch with attending members of the royal family, here. I truly believe the Crown Princess really enjoyed her day at Langelinje in Copenhagen.

Now we are talking. After a less impressive outfit at the Reumert Award 2016 show on Sunday the 12th, here, I have to say this outfit is simply incredible. Mary's look at the naming ceremony makes me speechless. She looks so comfortable with that certain twinkle in her eyes I love so much about her. The new white coat looks amazing on her featuring some really interesting cuffs - a little 60s inspired perhaps?And the length is outstanding. I have been looking everywhere to identify her new coat, which hasn't been easy at all. Then suddenly a name appeared and there it was. Mary's new creamy coat is from KITX (Collection No. 3) by Kit Willow. We get a glimpse of a lace skirt or maybe dress. Reminds me of an old Julie Fagerholt Heartmade, here. Personally, I think it is a skirt she is wearing. But I can not say for sure. She embraced the style by wearing incredible accessories - patent pumps from Gianvito Rossi, a wide brimmed hat from Susanne Juul featuring a pink flower and her pink Bottega Veneta clutch. As jewellery Mary wore pieces from both Dulong Fine Jewelry and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I am truly impressed by her dreamy outfit worn at the naming ceremony at Langelinje.

The unknown event, is no longer unknown

A couple of days ago the Crown Prince couple attended some kind of unknown event somewhere in Copenhagen. Nothing was published in their official calendar. Nor do anyone know what kind of event the couple attended. I have found couple of pictures, here and here, which were taken by private people. It looks like they couple are on their way home because you get a glimpse of Amalienborg in the background. Both were dressed in plain white. The Crown Princess wore his naval uniform. Maybe that is where the answers lies? Now I am finally able to tell you a little more about the event. It actually took place in Copenhagen. In May photographer Mario Testino, Vogue editor in chief Edwina McCann and fashion director Christine Cenetenera visited the royal couple in their home at Amalienborg, where pictures were taken and an interview was made with the Crown Princess, on among others sustainable fashion. Fashion director Christine Cenetenera shared a photo of herself, the couple and Testino on her Instagram, here. So, the unknown event was actually a photoshoot.
