Presenting the annual Christmas Stamp 2023

&

Opening of "A world-class Child and Adolescent Psychiatry"

03 November 2023

Every year since 1904, the Christmas Stamp Foundation has presented a new Christmas stamp. The money collected goes to the five Christmas Stamp homes.

The Christmas Stamp Foundation try to help strengthen wellfare and self worth for more than 1,000 children and young people every year. It is also the foundations core to fight against unhappiness, loneliness and bullying.

On Friday, Crown Princess Mary attended this years presentation as patron of the Christmas Stamp Foundation (here). Artist Lisa Grue presented the new stamp along with the Crown Princess. Lisa Grue mastered this years stamp. She was inspired by the title "Come along into the Christmas forest".

Around noon, she arrived in Hellerup to attend "A world-class Child and Adolescent Psychiatry" (here). The conference is arranged by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Psychiatry Foundation - which Crown Princess Mary is patron for.

Among others, she was given an inside in "Mind My Mind". A project offered to children and young people suffering from depression, behavioral disorders and anxiety.

Crown Princess Mary at the presentation of the Christmas Stamp 2023

Later, she attended the opening of "A World-class Child and Adolescent Psychiatry"

This has to be the most incredible addition to her wardrobe! Her brand new floral printed dress from Saloni is outstanding. I can't get enough of it. The print. The colors. The silhouette. I wouldn't mind wearing this at any time. For any occasion. Mary styled the new dress with a reused navy blue Fonnesbech coat and matching burgundy suede pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

Love that Mary chose rather simple accessories with the dress. Her earrings are old ones from Figaros Bryllup and her rings are custom-made by Dulong Fine Jewelry. She also wore a couple of bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry and Rebekka Notkin.

Her fine little brooch shows the theme of this years Christmas Stamp.

Winners of the Media Competition 2020

29th January

So, we have not seen Crown Princess Mary for quite some time now. You all know why: because at the moment she is living in Switzerland with the rest of the family while all four children are joining a 12 weeks program at Verbier International School. This means we have only seen her and the family once, when they gave an interview about a month ago, here. I am probably not the only one who have been looking forward to this day where she returned to Copenhagen, right? Well, it is just temporarily because the Crown Princess is going back to Verbier again.

Crown Princess Mary is in Denmark to attended the presentation of the winners of the Media Competition for Schools 2020 at Politikens Hus in Copenhagen.

The Media Competition has death as topic - something that is hard for many, both children and adults, to talk about. This is what the competition is all about: getting knowledge about the media industry and use it as a way of opening up for a dialogue about a difficult topic as death and illness are. Children and young people in 6-10th grade have participated the competition. The project is organized by Ekstra Bladet, Jyllands-Posten, Politiken and now the Mary Foundation, Children, Youth and Grief and Stifterne joined the program. Crown Princess Mary attended to present the winners along with the Mary Foundation.

She was in a really splendid mood. All smiles and a happy spirit. Both participating children and other involved in the project, welcomed her with handshakes, flowers and smiley faces. Shortly, after the arrival Crown Princess Mary entered the stage. She gave a speech with personal references from her own life and how she dealt with both death and illness in her own family, when losing her mother in a very young age.

In her speech, she also announced the winning class (7th grade from Frederiksberg School), who received medals and a check of 5,000 Danish kroner. The Mary Foundation shared moments from the big day at Facebook. See the wonderful pictures below.

I cannot hide that I have been looking forward to this day. The day where she would return (also only just briefly) and attend the presentation of the Media Competition for Schools 2020. I did not know what to expect from her outfit, but it was not this. This is much better.

Mary had chosen a brand new printed blouse. It features some pretty incredible details: the color, print, collar and golden button. I learned that Sarah managed to identify Mary's new blouse as a Roberto Cavalli creation. Lovely, right? How would you style a blouse like this?

Mary matched her new pieces with simple black trousers and a long blazer-like coat. My guess is that she has worn the trousers before, such as the coat. It goes back to when Prince William and Catherine, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Denmark in November 2011, here. Since then, Mary has worn this coat on three more occasions. Even though this makes it the fifth time she is wearing it, I still do not know where to find it.

She embraced the chic business look with old earrings from Figaros Bryllup. Maybe you remember that she wore them when visiting Moldova in 2016, here. The two bracelets have been seen before. One is from Cartier and the other one is a golden bangle from Dulong Fine Jewelry. If you look closely you will see a rather large ring on her right hand. To me it looks new. What is not new, it her leather belt from Céline and that quality Quidam clutch.

Program:
  • 9:30 am. Crown Princess Mary visited Public Health Institute where she met with specialists of the field.
  • 10:30 am. Crown Princess Mary visited Vaccine Cold Chamber at Public Health Institute.
  • 12:00 pm. The Crown Princess attended lunch along with UN representatives in Moldova.
  • 2:00 pm. Crown Princess Mary visited the Mother and Child Institute.
  • 5:00 pm. Crown Princess Mary payed a visit to the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy where she held a speech.
  • 7:30 pm. The Crown Princess attended dinner with representatives of WHO.

Crown Princess Mary during her second day in Moldova

After a fantastic first day in Moldova, Mary was ready for yet another day which started with a visit at the Public Health Institute. Here the Crown Princess was introduced to the Vaccine Cold Chamber.  The visit to the vaccine chamber seemed to have impressed Mary who, afterwards talked to the local and international press. It was with great exciment she told about what she had seen so far. Around noon she attended a lunch along with other United Nations (UN) representatives in Moldova. The lunch was follwed by a very touching visit at The Mother and Child Institute aiming to improve mother and childrens health and well-being. Like everybody else, Mary could not resist the babies. Emotional to all of them I believe. Wonderful pictures from the visit.

Later the Crown Princess payed a visit to the State University of Medicine and Pharmacy where she also held a speech. What makes this a bit more special, especially for Mary and her traveling partner Dr Zsuzsanna Jakab, is that the two of them were announched honorary Doctorate. Dressed in each their special cape and hat, the two women recieved their new title. Congratulations!! In the evening she attended a dinner with representatives from the WHO. Unfortulately I have not been able to find any pictures from that dinner.

As impressed as I was of her during the day, as impressed am I of what she was wearing. My heart stopped for a second when I saw the grey JOSEPH coat and that printed white Stine Goya blouse. Really magnificent design. And then with the golden leaf brooch from Emmons - it looks simply dazzling. Very clever way to 'spice up' you old winter coat. I am so sure it will cause a stir if you tried it.

She matched the blouse with black trousers and a pair of still unidentified pointed pumps. I am a little surprised she was not carring any clutch or handbag, think it would have been appropriate. But really, don't we all know that time when we do not need our bag and do not know where to keep it while we are out? I do. What I recognized right away is the earrings. Goodies from Figaros Bryllup. We have not seen them for quite a long time and they look amazing to the rest of her outfit, especially in the combination with the printed Stine Goya blouse. Great to see something we have not seen in a long time. And as always, she completely nailed it! Last, but not least, Mary wore a thing diamond bracelet from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I love how she mixed and matched rather light colours during late fall. So, what do you say? -Is you as impressed as I am?

A donation to the Maternity Foundation

Tuesday, February 2nd

Crown Princess Mary received a donation from Inner Wheel, here, to the Maternity Foundationhere, because of her patronage. It took place at Frederik VIII's Palace, Amalienborg.

Kongehuset.dk
Billedbladet.dk

Since 2010 the Crown Princess has been patron of the Maternity Foundation -a Danish developed organization with the vision "no women should die giving life". With this strong vision, it's clear how the foundation want to try to change the world. It was a very smily Crown Princess, who greeted CEO of the Maternity Foundation Anna Frellsen, former international CEO of Inner Wheel Suzanne Nielsen and Convention Coordinator at Inner Wheel Benedicte Haubro for the donation. As patron, she received a donation from Inner Wheel on DKK 100,000 to support the work of the Maternity Foundation. I am in no doubt when I say, I believe the Crown Princess was very honored to receive the donation and of course to represent the Maternity Foundation on a big day like this.

Her smily face must have been the first thing everyone noticed when entering the room at Amalienborg. Shiny as her smile is the blouse she was wearing. I can't really tell what colour it is -champagne, golden or rose gold? Nevertheless, it perfectly matched her stunning makeup. With help from Kate the blouse has been identified as Hugo Boss (Collection: HUGO by Hugo Boss) and not JOSEPH as I first thought. I am wrong too. She beautifully matched it with a brand new black skirt, also identified as Hugo Boss (Collection: BOSS by Hugo Boss). I really hope we are going to see her wear that skirt again. She embraced the style by wearing earrings from Figaros Bryllup and a golden Georg Jensen bracelet. Seems to be her favourite right now, such as wearing red nail polish. Love how her outfit turned out. Just so polished and chic. Unfortunately, we did not get a picture that shows any shoes. I think she could wear pumps in nude, beige or possibly black. I go with black. What do you say? Do you also wanna see this outfit again some day?

It was around dinner time when the Crown Princess arrived to Rundetårn in Copenhagen to present this years Goldsmith Guild Talent Cost St. Loye Prize 2015. Because of the beautiful weather in Copenhagen last night I'm sure it was a special experience for her to attend the presentation. When she arrived to Rundetårn, she was welcomed by CEO Jepser Vang Hansen and Alderman Diana Holstein. The Crown Princess also received a bouquet of flowers at the arrival. A really beautiful one. Half way trough the old iconic building the Crown Princess stopped by the jewellery exhibition The Jewellery City. As if it was no problem at all the Crown Princess steered the round building wearing heeled shoes. Maybe I should tell you why this is a little more special this time. Rundetårn is a 41.55 meter high building located in the centre of Copenhagen. In English 'Rundetårn' means 'round tower'. The building is especially known for its spiraling staircase, leading all the way up to a viewing platform. It goes back to 1642 and is build by King Christian 4th. Enough with all the history. Now you know a little more about the location where the Crown Princess presented the St. Loye Prize 2015 and visited The Jewellery City-exhibition.
The St. Loye Prize 2015 and DKK 100,000 were handed over to the goldsmith Christina Bukkehave who is the designer of 'BUKKEHAVE'. Think her jewellery are very artistic, modern and with a twist something Scandinavian. She plays with the different shapes and metals. Among others Bukkehave use pearls, diamonds and amber to give the jewellery a feminine touch. I think she is a very talented and creative jewellery designer who deserve the acknowledgement. Some of Christina Bukkehave's designs were exhibited in Rundetårn. Congratulations to Christina with the fine prize.

I know I've said this before, but somehow Mary keeps surprising me. When I think: now it does not get any better, it actually does. At yesterdays evening event Mary wore a brand new black A-line dress featuring some kind of golden jacquard detailing. This is a dress you either love or hate. I really adore it especially with the high neck, long sleeves and pattern. What was your first thought? There has been so many speculations about where the dress is from. Pernille has suggested a Marisota dress, which is why I contacted them. They never responded my request. In the meantime Kate has been able to identify her new golden wonder as Ganni (Pre-Spring 2016). At one point my mind crossed Ganni, but I didn't find what I was looking for. Now we finally know the true identity of her new lurex dress. I still hope we will see more articles and pictures -then I maybe will be able to identify her earrings. I am pretty sure they are from Figaros Bryllup. After all I know that her bracelets and ring are from Marianne Dulong. Thanks to Heaven I know that she was wearing her beige Christian Louboutin pumps. A really lovely outfit.

Day 6: Visiting Greenland

Thursday, August 6th

The Crown Prince couple of Denmark are visiting South of Greenland from August 1st-8th along with their four children -Princess Christian, Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.

Program: Nuuk

  • 7:00 pm Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended an official dinner in Nuuk, capital of Greenland.
Knr.gl

Now the family has arrived to Greenland's capital Nuuk, with only three days left of their trip. So far I think we have had some splendid days following the royal couple and all four children on their first trip to Greenland and Mary's first trip visiting South of Greenland. In Nuuk the couple only had one event and that was an official dinner on occasion of their visit. The couple arrived in a splendid mood with a huge smile on their faces. They were warmly welcomed at the arrival. With around six people around each table, the dinner was began with a a couple of speeches one of them given by the Crown Prince. Judging by her smile I am sure Mary was so proud of her husband, who expressed his joy of visiting Greenland and all those nice people they had met.

What a dress Mary was wearing at the dinner! This new lace gown beautifully embraced Mary's amazing figure. Notice who golden beads is shaped as a belt and around the cuff and neckline. It looks magnificent on the soft pink lace dress. What makes this gown suitable is differently the length and train. I still do not know if this dream of a dress is custom made or from a sure designers collection, but what I know is that the brown shawl she wore over her shoulders is a gift from previous visit to Greenland in 2004. She also uses it frequently on this trip. If we take a look at the jewellery then her earrings is from Figaros Bryllup. Right above the neckline of the dress you see a beautiful gold necklace which is from Orit Elhanati and the black pearl bracelet is a Marianne Dulong creation as the other bracelet is from Shamballa Jewels. Two pieces we have seen plenty of times before at all kind of occasions. The snake clutch is from Judith Leiber and the metallic pointed pumps I have been told is from Manolo Blahnik. I am truly impressed by her makeup; polished, elegant and so natural.

After the arrival she met with the Prime Minister and Health Minister then visited AMODEFA

Shortly after the arrival to the capital Maputo she had a meeting with the Prime Minister, Vaquina. On her first day in Mozambique, wearing her fitted Denna Hugo Boss (BOSS Black) dress, she was met with smiles and happy faces wherever she went. Somehow, Mary natural get all attention not just because she's the Crown Princess of Denmark, she has a natural attractiveness. Bracelets and white pearl earrings are from Danish jewellery designer Marianne Dulong. Not to forget, the nude patent Jimmy Choo pumps that matched the beige belt in the waist. In the afternoon she visited the AMODEFA Clinic, the visit focused on early pregnancy and how to prevent HIV. She'll attend a reception tonight.

Africa is a country with a long and colourful history behind. When mentioning colours and Africa I think about all the amazing beadwork and clothes with colourful patterns. All this I mention because Mary is often seen wearing bright colours and at the reception she was dressed in the most wonderful blue lace dress! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to identify it but I really like it. So here I need your help. She had chosen to wear Ralph Lauren sandals and light blue Figaros Bryllup earrings found by Pernille. Thanks! The one I have linked to is no the exact same model, just so you know. She kept on the two gold bracelets from Marianne Dulong and the nice Carlend Copenhagen AICHA clutch. Look forward to see what she'll be wearing tomorrow..!

,The man with the golden gun' is a title of a James Bond movie, at the dinner it must have been The man with the golden women, that's because Mary was glowing like a real princess in a completely gold outfit, form head to toe. A stunning couple! Frederik in his classic black and white suit and Mary with all her golden dress and jacket. Neither of them are new but it's a long time since we have seen it and I'm pretty sure not in the combination with each other. You all know I have something with hairdos and at the evening dinner I could not stop looking at her hair, it's so beautiful. Goes well together with the elegant outfit. To match the 'gold style' she had also chosen golden accessories with a touch of snake on the Judith Leiber clutch. The earrings, Figaros Bryllup, we saw a few month ago when she visited Russia. She wore a light red lipgloss as a perfect match to the rosa satin pumps from Chrisitan Louboutin.

Crown Princess Mary at the arrival to St. Petersburg

To me Mary is a great inspiration and despite my young age I love to dress like her. I find her style one of the most inspiring and her way of match clothes is incredible. At the arrival to Russia, she once again convince me; her style is outstanding! Dressed in white trousers and a beige blouse with a new coat (identified of Pernille as SAND) and the amazing Christian Louboutin shoes. I don't know what you wear when you travel but my travel-style is much more casual then this. Makes me wonder if I should try to dress like this? Over her shoulder she wore an old light brown leather bag from Prada.

From when Crown Princess Mary visited The Wild Swans exhibition

The royal-blue colour is so amazing on Mary next to her brown hair! On a visit to Greenland she has worn it before with the Elise Gug brooch. My thanks goes to Kate for the help of finding the brooch. After a long time and hours with search the dress is finally identified and Jayson Brunsdon is the designer. At the arrival to the exhibition, she wore the same grey SAND coat as when she arrived to Russia. She kept the Christian Louboutin pumps on. Mary is known for her reuse of clothes as well as accessories; this time she reused her snake skin Prada handbag, made to clutch. Her wonderful earrings are from the exclusive jewellery brand Figaros Bryllup

At the Green Denmark - Green Fairy Tale project

Wauw... I'm the absolute lover of pastel colours and this match of DAY Birger et Mikkelsen silk blouse and the new Elise Gug pencil skirt is just amazing. The skirt has been found by Kate. The outfit show her slim figure and the colours make her the princess she is. You might feel my enthusiasm of the look! Every time I see her even though after 8 years of following her, she become more and more beautiful.
With some luck and a little knowledge I identified her new suede shoes as L.K. Bennett. I really hope she'll be wearing them again.

In the evening Crown Princess Mary attended a reception

The visit has come to an end and at the reception the last day in Russia Mary was beautifully dressed in a black Hugo Boss dress, which she also has in white and red. She had chosen black pearl earrings and a bracelet both from Marianne Dulong. Then her shoes; in some way most women's eyes are drawn to other women's shoes they indicate (mostly) who we are and how our style is. With several confused hours and more then one to look for the new shoes. Now we know they come from By Malene Birger (AW 2012). I haven't been able to find the exact same clutch as the checkered she carried, my guess is that it's from Prada; please take a look at the link below and tell what you think.
