Flag Day 2024

Every year on September 5th, we honor those who are or have been missioned abroad. To honor their professional effort in some of the worlds areas of conflict.

The royal couple have been attending the Flag Day for many years. This is their first as King and Queen of Denmark. They attended a ceremony at Kastellet in Copenhagen and honored Danish soldiers who died or are lost in battle with a wreath.

Afterwards, the King and Queen joined a memorial service at Holmens Church.

This is an event that deserves a moment of silence. The course deserves to be the main focus. With Flag Day we honor Danish soldiers sent abroad to fight. Danish soldiers who have died or may be lost in battle. To their friends and families. I don't feel like commeting on style and fashion today. It is about much more important things. Let it speak for itself.

Visit at 'Bostedet Aars' in Aars

She was about the attend the 50th birthday celebration of Aalborg University. Last minute, Queen Mary said yes to be visiting 'Bostedet Aars' in Aars after a personal invitation from City Council at Bostedet Aars.

'Bostedet Aars' is a 40 minutes ride from Aalborg and house 41 patients. It is regional housing offer that is aimed at adults with severe mental disorders.

Presentation of the "Danish Business Award 2023"

It was all about 'digital power of action', when Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of the "Danish Business Award 2023" (here). The award ceremony took place in Øksnehallen in Copenhagen.

Five different Danish companies competed to win this year. The winner was JN Data. Crown Princess Mary handed over the award herself. Congratulations to JN Data with the prestigious award and the title!

The Danish Business Award 2023 is presented on occasion of the Danish Business Anniversary.

It is just a simple black dress but I am in heaven! Mary looks amazing in her brand new GOAT Fashion dress. The silhouette is gorgeous on her and the details are exquisite. Delicate! She looks so comfortable in her new dress.

Mary accessorized it with plenty of beautiful jewellery. Like the golden Rebekka Notkin bangle; the custom-made rose-quarts earrings and bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry and expensive Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau necklaces. A wonderful combination. We also get a glimpse of some diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

She was also wearing yet another piece of jewellery. A brooch. In fact, her belt is actually an old brooch. Mary first wore it at the 67th WHO Regional Committee for Europe in 2017 (here). It is still to be identified. LOVE that she shows how to use a brooch nothing like a brooch. Magnificent!

I am not quite sure if I get why she chose her blue Quidam clutch with those snakeskin pumps from Gianvito Rossi. That is still a mystery to me. Do you like it?

Aarhus International School & inauguration with the Heart Association

The Crown Princess had a busy day in Aarhus on October 10. First, she visited Aarhus International School to participate the very first digging for where the school's new extension will be located.

Aarhus International School is a private school with room for children in both kindergarden and pre-school. The school also offers international IB-authorized tuition and childcare for students from more than 40 nationalities. The new extension will hopefully be ready for more students in 2024.

Some hours later, Crown Princess Mary attended yet another big event. The launch of the Heart Association's new scheme for patient support at Aarhus University Hospital. 

This new scheme is a supplement to an already existing scheme. From now on, the patient support also include that parents with children with heart problems can meet with volunteers from the Heart Association. Till now, the Heart Association offered the "Hjertelinjen". Counseling for heart patients.

During the visit, Crown Princess Mary was guided around the facilities and speak to both staff and some relatives of patients in the heart department.

Somehow, I have been missing that special glow of hers. She got that back! Mary really looked outstanding on her visit in Aarhus. An outfit like this is always a winner. Nothing's too loud, but still she is so classy and elegant with what she was wearing. The GOAT Fashion coat is a reuse. Mary first wore it, when celebrating her mother-in-law on her 82nd birthday in April (here). Same coat; two very different looks. She paired the coat with simple black trousers and a beloved dusty pink Hugo Boss blouse.

Getting closer, you will see golden earrings featuring rather large Rose Quartz pendants. They are mastered by Dulong Fine Jewelry. The same designer also created her golden ring with the colourfull stones. Her bangle is still a mystery to me. Maybe one day.

The same goes with those dark blue suede boots. She could have worn them before, but even that I am not sure of. The style is familiar and still, I cannot find the one Mary is wearing.
