Day 2. Officiel visit from Norway

16 June 2023

AARHUS

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary accompanied King Harald and Queen Sonja in Aarhus on Friday (here). The couple have traveled all the way from Oslo to attend an official visit in Denmark.

The Crown Prince Couple attended the opening of business conference and a dinner the previous day (here) and thereby accompanied Queen Margrethe, King Harald and Queen Sonja.

The royal couple arrived in Aarhus by Dannebrog - the royal yacht (here). In Aarhus, they joined the King and Queen of Norway for a business conference at DOKK1, a meeting with Norwegian students and Denmark and had official lunch at Aarhus City Hall.

Before leaving Aarhus, they attended "LiteratureXchange" - a literature festival.

What is not to like? Mary looked like the most incredible bouquet of flowers in that brand new Erdem dress. I am truly impressed. Her new dress is so beautiful. The details are exquisite. The pleatings, the neckline, the belt and soft sheer sleeves.

She embraced the style of her new dress with a reused hairband purchased from Miss Haidee Millinery. Mary first wore this stunning hairpiece at the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the ordination of women to the priesthood in April 2023 (here). She matched it with smashing Gianvito Rossi pumps made of python. Even the clutch matched. This is still unidentified.

The fine diamond earrings and one of her rings are also still unidentified, which is quite impressive because both earrings and ring have been in her wardrobe for many years. Still no clue. The other diamond bands are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

RECEPTION

The previous day, Queen Margrethe hosted a dinner at Amalienborg. The following day, King Harald and Queen Sonja hosted a reception on board the royal ship Norway (here).

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the reception.

At the arrival, they were warmly welcomed by the Regal Couple. Wonderful to see the four of them together.

Mary was beautifully dressed in a reused floral dreamy blouse from Giambattista Valli matched with new white trousers. She first wore this blouse when celebrating Crown Prince Frederik's 50th birthday (here). I hope to identify her new trousers, because they are incredibly beautiful.

She styled the outfit with a lovely hairdo showing magnificent golden earrings from Rebekka Notkin. These earrings are also worn before. Like, when the couple presented "The Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2019" (here). Her golden bangle is also a reused creation from Rebekka Notkin.

We get a glimpse of a beloved 'F'-necklace as well. It is from Halberstadt.

The yellow Yves Saint Laurent clutch goes back to 2009 (here). It was truly love a first sight. I really adore this clutch. Mainly because of the color.

She had chosen reused golden Malone Souliers pumps. I was never really a huge fan of these pumps, but Mary wears them with such elegance.

Business promotion visit in Milan

17 April, 2023

When Crown Princess Mary visited Milan on April 17th, it was as head of a business delegation of 17 Danish companies, Danish Industry, Creative Denmark and the Danish embassy. She was accompanied by Morten Bødskov the Danish Minister of Business.

The business promotion visit was with focus on Danish design solutions created by a proud tradition of craftsmanship. It was also the purpose of the exhibition "This is Denmark". Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of this exhibition to create awareness of Danish design and sustainability.

Later, she participated the roundtable meeting "New European Bauhaus Project - DESIRE, Designing the Irresistible Circular Society".

Before dinner time, Mary wore a really beautiful Designers Remix skirt and matching blouse from Jesper Høvring. Actually, the skirt was once a dress (here) but some years later, she had it altered from dress to skirt (here). It is made of 100% recycled polyester from plastic bottles. A clear statement pretty much forgotten in the discussion of a sustainable solution used by Danish companies.

Mary embraced her outfit with stunning white South sea freshwater pearls custom-made Dulong Fine Jewelry. This has to be her all-time favourite earrings. The two golden necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau have also become personal favourites lately.

She also styled the look with golden Cartier, Dulong Fine Jewelry and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen bracelets. The incredible diamond ring is a Rebekka Notkin creation.

Her smashing baby blue suede pumps are a classy design by Gianvito Rossi. I learned that Mary changed to a more comfortable pair of shoes during the day. To Chanel ballet flats.

DINNER

In the evening, the Crown Princess attended a dinner hosted by Creative Denmark. Representatives from Denmark and Italy also attended the dinner, which gave all of them a great opportunity to share some last few words.

In the evening, she showed up in an old reused Prada dress. First, I truly do not like her wear these long black blazers with everything. Especially, when wearing a longer dress like this. She first wore the dress on a trip to Thailand in 2008 (here). Not to forget, when she dazzled at INDEX: Award in 2013 (here). UFO No More (here) managed to identify her new black blazer as Harris Wharf London.

At the dinner, she matched the outfit with more or less the same pieces of jewellery. Necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. Bracelets from Cartier, Dulong Fine Jewelry and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

Usually, I like when she wears colour-matching clothes and accessories. Usually, she master the colours with perfection, but a the dinner I think the purple dress and purple suede Gianvito Rossi pumps are too different in colours. When wearing them in 2020, I think they matched her outfit much better (here).

Day 1. Official visit to Paris

23 June

The previous day, Crown Princess Mary participated the Free of Bullying-Race - a project part of the Mary Foundation, here. A wonderful day. She kept the great spirit the following day when arriving to Paris.

During the day

Not much has been announced about this trip other than she was going to visit Paris; open an exhibition and inaugurate a new altarpiece in Frederik's Church in Paris. That is exactly what happened. Sunday noon she arrived to Danmarkshuset to open the exhibition Ombre Flore created by artist, Jesper Christensen. He was also the one to welcome the Crown Princess along with Torben Nielsen, Director of Danmarkshuset. The artist himself guided her around the exhibition. Few every gets that experience. To be guided around the exhibition by the artist him-/herself.

What a mood. Crown Princess Mary was one big smile at the opening and later when she attended the inauguration of the new altarpiece the Frederik's Church. The new altarpiece is made by Jesper Christensen. Apparently he was inspired by the Danish poet, B.S. Ingeman such as musician and artist, David Bowie. The royal house inform that the center piece represent the Garden of Getsemane in Jerusalem. Four years. That is how long it took Jesper Christensen to make this beautiful new altarpiece for the church in Paris.

During her first appearance in France, Mary was dressed in a brand new dress. It almost looks like a peplum top, paired with a matching skirt. The dress is made by Danish designer Elsa Adams, here. On several occasions she has made dresses worn by Mary's daughters. It is indeed very girly cause of the color, print and that white lace detail. What was your first thought about her new creation?

She embraced the feminine style by wearing color-matching pumps. They are from Gianvito Rossi, worn on numerous different occasions. Among others on her trip to Ethiopia a couple of months ago, here. Back then she wore the pumps with a floral printed dress. Shows how one piece can be worn beautifully with different clothes. Even the earrings chosen matched in color. Mary has worn these earrings quite a few times now, but I still do not know a thing about them. But they are stunning.

The little clutch is also still a mystery to me. On a previous occasion I discussed with you when we first saw it, here. Both the rather large diamond ring and three of five bracelets are made by Dulong Fine Jewelry. All pieces are reused. Then she was wearing her golden Cartier bracelet, and a fifth one which I believe could be from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

Evening dinner

In the evening Crown Princess Mary was invited to dinner by the Danish ambassador in France, Michael Starbæk Christensen and his spouse, Giovanni de Carvalho. She was warmly welcomed at the arrival with handshakes, smiles and welcoming words. All three of them seemed delighted to met each other.

You see the three of them in the picture below - Michael Starbæk Christensen to the left, Crown Princess Mary in the middle and Giovanni de Carvalho to the right. I don't know much about what happened in the evening, but I guess they had a splendid dinner and a great talk.

Now we are talking. I absolutely love her outfit. The sophisticated combination of a white sleveless blouse and a red/white printed maxi skirt. Wauw. That is the only thing to say if you ask about my opinion. Actually we have seen this specific combination before. It was on a visit to Cap Town in South Africa back in 2014, here. Back then she attended a reception and wore this exact outfit. Well blouse and skirt. Also think I saw a white scarf.

Mary accessorized her look with large (and reused) Amrita Singh earrings. She first wore them in 2009 when attending DANSK Fashion Award at Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, here. This is, till now, the first and last time we have seen her wear these earrings. I kinda missed them. I own them myself and they are as lovely in real life as they look on pictures. Again she wore three golden bracelets (and a diamond ring) from Dulong Fine Jewelry. A fourth one is from Cartier and the fifth I strongly believe is made by Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The clutch is the same as earlier. Ralph Lauren (collection: SS11) designed her chic heeled sandals.

Day 2. Business and cultural promotion in Texas

12  March

During the day

For three days, the Crown Princess is on a business and cultural visit in Austin and Houston, Texas, USA. About now she has attended both an event to promote women leaders, payed a visit to 'Danish Gastronomy - A Michelin experience' and met with Texas' Governor, here.

On Tuesday, March 11, Crown Princess Mary had traveled to Houston. She was warmly welcomed with a meeting with Houstons Mayor, Sylvester Turner at Houston City Hall. What a friendly and smiling man Sylvester Turner. I am sure he was more than proud to welcome the Crown Princess to his city and tell her all about how wonderful it is. As part of the welcoming ceremony she also attended the launch of a collaboration between Houston and Denmark focusing on urban development and climate adaptation. It is all about sharing visions, ideas and technology to be able to withstand climate changes. And really, Crown Princess Mary was in a great spirit. She was all smiles and happy eyes.

Meeting Houstons Mayor at the arrival to Houston Mary had chosen to wear one of her old floral dresses. A dress that comes from Giambattista Valli. She first wore this beautiful dress when the French Presidential couple visited Copenhagen last year, here. Back then she embraced the style by wearing black pointed pumps and a matching box clutch. This year in Houston black had turned into nude accessories instead. Both the ostrich clutch from Naledi Copenhagen and leather pumps from Prada have been seen the previous day.

Once again we got a chance to get a look at her other accessories. Her diamond earrings are an old pair created by Danish Dulong Fine Jewelry. They go way back. Its pendant is removable and can be replaced with different stones. Through the years we have both seen them worn with a diamond pendant, one in coral, rose quartz, etc. Two bracelets worn at the event in Houston are also from Dulong Fine Jewelry. I would not be surprised if pictures would show her golde Cartier bangle as well. I was just not able to find one. Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen made two fo her diamond rings. The third one I have never identified.

Gala dinner

Crown Princess Mary's first day in Texas was packed from early morning till late in the evening. Her second day wasn't as busy. First she was welcomed by Houstons Mayor, Sylvester Turner. Later she attended the launch of a future collaboration between Houston and Denmark with purpose to share knowledge and solutions on climate changes.

In the evening, the Crown Princess was invited as guest of honor to attend a gala dinner on behalf of her visit. She arrived to Houston Museum of Fine Arts, where the dinner was about to take place. After she was welcomed herself, Crown Princess Mary placed in line and welcomed other guests.

Official representatives and Danish companies working with green energy and pharmaceuticals  and medical equipment also attended the gala dinner along with the Crown Princess.

Mary stunned at the gala dinner. She arrived like Hollywood star in her reused Jesper Høvring gown. It has been two years since we first saw that inducible gown. Do you remember her wearing it when the King and Queen of Belgium visited Copenhagen in 2017, here? Mary had chosen to style her evening gown with black glitter pumps from Pura Lopez and a matching box clutch from Sergio Rossi. She reused the pumps from the previous day.

Cartier created that magnificent golden bangle and Dulong Fine Jewelry made the other one. Stunning pieces. Both earrings, bracelet and ring matched in colour. Purple stones and diamonds are a lovely combo. Never thought these two colours would look good together, but they really do.

Love her curly hairstyle. I often miss these feminine hairstyles, but we rarely sees them. Now we did and it looks beautiful. She even accessorized her hairstyle with, what I believe is a, PICO Copenhagen French hair-comb. I like what I see. Do you?

Day 2. Official state visit from France

August, Wednesday 29th

Yesterday the French Presidential couple arrived to Copenhagen. They are on official state visit in Denmark hosted by Queen Margrethe. The Presidential couple was first welcomed at Kastellet in Copenhagen by Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary. Actually the two couple's enjoyed most of the day in each others company. Crown Princess Mary and Mrs Marcon had lunch together and paid a visit to the Design School at Holmen in Copenhagen. Meanwhile the French President join Crown Prince Frederik for a boat trip and met with Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen - among other things. In the evening Queen Margrethe hosted a gala dinner at Christiansborg castle with several hundred invited guests from both France and Denmark. Read about their first day, here.

The state visit only last two days which mean Wednesday 29th is their last day in Denmark. In the morning the official farewell took place at Christian VIIs Palace at Amalienborg. Both Queen Margrethe and the Crown Prince couple attended. A unique tradition was once more included - the French Presidential couple wrote in a guestbook and signed a window. I do not know for sure who was the first to write their signature, but presidents and royals have signed each their own window which are then once again place somewhere at Amalienborg. Simply a wonderful tradition.

Crown Princess Mary and Mrs Macron then visited Rysensteen Gymnasium. Seems like the two of them get along very well. And the students were thrilled to welcomed both of them. The Crown Princess was in a great mood and took plenty of time talking to the stuents. An introduction was also given to the program 'Global Citizenship Programme' in which the school participate. Meanwhile Crown Prince Frederik and the French President visited Dansk Industri. Prime Minister, Lars Løkke Rasmussen also attended this visit. The visit made it possible for all of them to attend the business conference 'Transformning France: A Nordic Perspective'.

After having spend time on their own; the Crown Prince couple and the French Presidential couple were gathered once again. The reunion took place at Glyptoteket in Copenhagen. When visiting Glyptoteket they had the opportunity to attend a cultural event where numerous Danish artists also attended.

For one more day in company of Mrs Macron Mary had chosen to reuse one of her old blue creations. It has for a long time been suggested that Stella McCartney designed the blue dress. That was all wrong. The dreamy blue dress is from Vionnet. I learned about its identity from Heaven. She also shared with me that Princess Charlene has worn the same dress featuring a longer skirt, here. Mary first wore her dress at 'the European Emergency Medical Services 2017', here.

Once again we see her embrace the style by wearing that incredible brooch which I have never been able to find. Nor do I have ideas where to find it. The brooch features pastel pink and green colours and make a great match to the blue dress. Just as the white pearl earrings and a ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry does. Multiple bracelet were also worn. I have a hard time identifying each one of them, but I differently see her golden Cartier bangle.

As other accessories Mary had chosen a blue calfskin Quidam clutch and patent leather pumps in rose from Gianvito Rossi. I've always loved when she chose to wear darker and lighter colours at ones. She also stunned wearing some kind of red coloured nail polish. And that soft curly hairstyle blew me away. Absolutely wonderful. She has a certain glow that woman, right?

- Return reception -
As the French Presidential couple attended the Danish official farewell ceremony; the couple hosted a return reception at Skuespilhuset in Copenhagen. Both Queen Margrethe, the Crown Prince couple, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, and Princess Benedikte were invited as guests of honor.

Little has been said and shown from the event at Skuespilhuset. From what I see all royals were warmly welcomed by the Presidential couple with smiles and handshakes. With sincere words the French President thanked the Queen and her family for their hospitality in his speech at the reception. All this took place in the afternoon before the presidential couple left Denmark later that day.

For the afternoon event Mary wore a brand new printed dress. Actually the print is flower petals - beautiful right? Somehow I can't stop myself from loving the fact that Queen Margrethe's dress and Mary's look very much alike. Mary's new dress has been identified by Heaven as Giambattista Valli (the name I always trouble to write and remember). This incredible creation features long sleeves, a wait band and mid-length skirt. I imagine the dress worn at so many different occasions in the future with all kinds of accessories. Maybe yellow pumps? Another belt? Its print makes me wanna try something similar.

At the reception in Skuespilhuset Mary wore simple, yet stunning accessories, to top off her look. Among other things she wore brand new black pumps as well. They feature little golden studs. Once again Heaven got the answer where to find these new pumps. She manage to find them at Gianvito Rossi. Kinda edgy next to the feminine dress. I have been told that Mrs Macron is very fond of Louis Vuitton. So I imagine that she loved Mary's box clutch, because that is from Louis Vuitton. It goes years back in time, but has only been worn a couple of times.

Day 2. Visiting South Africa

Monday, November 3rd

Accompanied by Minister of Trade and Development Mogens Jensen, is Crown Princess Mary visiting South Africa from November 2-5th, focusing on sexual- and reproductive health and rights such as the collaboration between South Africa and Denmark.

Program: Cape Town
  • 9:00 am. Crown Princess Mary visited the Marie Stopes clinic.
  • 2:30 pm. Crown Princess Mary visited the Mothers2Mothers clinic.
  • 4:00 pm. The Crown Princess payed a visit to the Love Life Youth Centre
  • 7:00 pm. Crown Princess Mary attended the Danish Design Business Mission networking reception.

Crown Princess Mary visiting the Marie Stopes, Mothers2Mothers and Love Life Youth Centre

Mary began her day early because at 9:00 am. she arrived to the Marie Stopes clinic followed by a visit to the Mothers2Mothers clinic. The Crown Princess was in a splendid mood, something you will see if you take a look at all the amazing pictures of her from the second day in South Africa. Though she is on this official visit to focus on serious topics such as healthcare and sexual rights; it is done with a warmth and sincerity. It is like she makes everyone feel comfortable in their own skin, with nothing else than her presence. Also something you have noticed? And when you do not think it can't get any better, it gets better! Because when she visited the Love Life Youth Centre we saw her smile, laugh and even dance. Made my day a *** lot better to watch that. Judging by everything I have seen so far, Mary really really enjoy herself yesterday!

When it come to clothes; Africa means colourful pattern and prints. Multi colour maxi skirts and dresses, lots of jewellery and everything that is just too laud to wear in Denmark. Time for Mary to wear printed dressed and that is exactly what she did. During her second day in Cape Town she was dressed in a reused dress from the Spanish designer Massimo Dutti worn with a brown leather belt and a pair of matching pumps. The shoes are old and used a several previous occasions. First I heard something about Christian Louboutin, but I doubt. I still do not have the right answer to reply your question on who the designer really is, though I have a strong feeling they are from Jimmy Choo. Take a look at the one I have found down below and tell me what's on your mind. Have I found the right one already? Or do I have to keep looking. The combination with this dress and those Louise Grønlykke earrings is not new. As she wore the golden Shamballa Jewels bracelet, she had chosen her Orit Elhanati necklace and Marianne Dulong bracelet one more time. I was a bit surprised to see that golden leaf ring again. It is from I'm Jewel and one of her reused rings. Another wonderful outfit that makes me think I need a similar dress and a pair of brown look-a-like pumps.

Crown Princess Mary attending Danish Design Business Mission networking reception

But her day does not end here. In the evening, around 7:00 pm, Crown Princess Mary arrived to attend a networking reception entitled Danish Design Business Mission. Here multiple Danish brands and Danish companies were given time to show and tell much more about themselves; what they do, how they work, what design it to them and much more. She was accompanied, once again, by Minister of Trade and Development Mogens Jensen, who really seems to enjoy the Crown Princess company as much as she does his. Maybe it is worth mentioning that she attended the network reception only about an hour after she had visited the Love Life Youth Centre. She is indeed a popular women.

At the reception she had changed to something a bit more 'evening appropriate', namely a white blouse featuring no sleeves and some kind of lace detail at front matched with a brand new maxi skirt in the most stunning colours! My reader Kate is the one to inform me who created this new skirt, Giambattista Valli did. It turns out that Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway has a jacket with the exact same print, here. For me, the print works best on a skirt. But who do you think wore it better? A print you would consider wearing? Mary had accessorized her casual evening outfit with a golden laser cut bracelet from Jewlscph and rather large golden earrings from the same designer. the bracelet has been seen once before on a official visit with Frederik to Rio de Janeiro in 2012, here. Do you recall having seen it before? As earlier she also wore her I'm Jewel ring, bracelets from  Marianne Dulong and  Shamballa Jewels. I tend to say, of course, she was wearing golden pumps with this outfit. She wore the same the day before and as I told you, I believe they are from Pura Lopez without it has been confirmed. Make-up and hair were perfect as always. With my eyes all over that skirt, I almost forgot to tell you about the clutch, but I'm pretty sure the remember it. It's her beige Naledi Copenhagen clutch.
