Meeting with the Mary Foundation's Youth Panel

November 2024

Last week, Queen Mary met with Maya and Rükiye. They are both part of the Mary Foundation's Youth Panel. The three of them discussed the forthcoming event on November 29th. An event hosted by the Mary Foundation.

'AFTRYK' is an initiative by the Mary Foundation. Both Queen Mary, Maya and Rükiye will speak at the event.

With only a couple of photos from her meeting with Maya and Rükiye last week, I have a difficult time commenting on her outfit. She was wearing a navy blue turtleneck and her beloved Gucci glasses. My best guess it that she paired the blouse with simple black trousers.

Meeting with the Kidney Association

25 November 2024

Queen Mary hosted a meeting with the Kidney Association to be given an update on the association's current and forthcoming activities.

CEO Michael Buksti and National Chairwoman Malene Deele executed the briefing. It took place at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg.

The Kidney Association works for people with kidney disease, offer support  and advice to their relatives and donors. Queen Mary has been patron of the Kidney Association since 2005.

Mary hosted the meeting after she having attended the reveal of a new monument along with Danner earlier today. This is possibly the main reason why she was wearing the exact same outfit: her stunning bordeaux Jesper Høvring blouse and likely her SKALL Studio trouser.

She also wore her beloved Gucci glasses and beautiful golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Reveal of a new monument

25 November 2024

Chairwoman of the board of Danner Vibeke Abel accompanied artist Kirsten Justesen to welcome the Queen, when she arrived at Nansensgade in Copenhagen. She was guest of honor at the reveal of a four meter bronze sculpture created by Kirsten Justesen.

The sculpture is facing Dannerhuset (the Danne House) once established by Countess Danner. Today, Danner is a private humanitarian organisation. They work to create opportunities that changes the situations for women and children exposed to violence.

Countess Danner (born Louise Christine Rasmussen) was the wife of King Frederik VII. She spend much of her fortune on vulnerable women and children.

Today, is also the day of UN International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

Her outfit was really well-chosen. Love how she matched her delicate bordeaux Jesper Høvring V-neck blouse with chic checkered trousers from SKALL Studio. Makes a great look! The old Prada coat was a brilliant touch. Always loved the little brown "belt". Splendid detail. Wonderful how she styled it with light brown leather gloves (possibly new) and her reused Anya Hindmarch handbag.

What is not to like? I really also like the elegant pieces of jewellery she had chosen. Those fine golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and that brooch! I am a huge fan of brooches. Wish we would wear them more often. I have way too many myself.

We get a glimpse of her heeled brown Prada boots. Love wide-legged trousers and heeled boots.

Visit at the Deaconess Foundation

11 November 2024

Recently, Queen Mary became patron of the Deaconess Foundation (Diakonissestiftelsen). Since the time of Princess Louise (1860s) - later Queen Louise, Queen's of Denmark have been committed to stand by the foundation's hard work.

The foundation has worked for more than 160 to provide care and nurturing for people in all ages and to some of our most vulnerable citizens. They combine education, health and psychiatry and build a bridge between traditional ways of support and finding new solutions focusing on each individual person.

On November 11th, the Queen visited the housing 'Moment' which is for young adults. Moment is part of the Deaconess Foundation's social psychiatric project.

Mary looked great in her dark navy blue The Fold London suit. I really like whenever she's wearing a suit. They look good, are easy to wear and style. Goes with any occasion - day and night. Especially, blue is perfect for this occasion and time a year. Love that she matched it with a bright red Isabel Marant blouse. The splash of color is simple outstanding! Very elegant soft detail with the simple and edgy suit.

Mary accessorized the outfit with beloved gold diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe. Not that many photos have been published from her visit, so I am not able to tell if she wore more jewellery. Nor which pair of shoes she was wearing. My guess would be navy blue suede pumps.

University of Copenhagen's annual party 2024

08 November 2024

University of Copenhagen dates back to 1479. Each year the foundation is celebrated with an annual party.

This year, Queen Mary was invited as guest of honor to attend the celebration. She was welcomed by Henrik C. Wegener, Rector of University of Copenhagen and Chairman Merete Eldrup. In 2021, the Queen also attended the annual party. Back then as Crown Princess of Denmark.

Students who have won a gold or silver medal for their answers to prize-winning assignments received medals along with a travel scholarship from the Ib Henriksen Foundation and a scholarship from the University of Copenhagen.

Once again, Mary impressed me with what she was wearing at the celebration. I always loved the green Beulah London dress. The details are delicate, elegant and understated. Mary first wore the dress at the inauguration of Campus Horsens in 2021 and again at Flag Day in 2022. She matched the dress with the same green snakeskin belt as in 2022. The stunning brown woolen cape is a reuse from Oscar de la Renta.

This time, Mary had chosen the most incredible custom-made Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen earrings. Love the fine touch of color. The bracelet is a beloved Dulong Fine Jewelry creation made of black South sea pearls.

Her green snakeskin clutch from Carlend Copenhagen, hasn't got enough attention. It is so beautiful! A perfect match with the dress and belt. It goes back to 2014 at the presentation of the Brain Prize. I am always impressed by her ability to find similar colored accessories.

Her chic pumps are from Gianvito Rossi.

05 November 2024

It was a very special anniversary which was about to be celebrated when the King and Queen arrived at VEGA in Copenhagen. They were about to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Crown Prince Couple's Awards! The anniversary was celebrated with a show organized by Denmark's Radio. The show was broadcasted on Danish TV.

The couple were welcomed by Maria Rørbye, General Director of Denmark's Radio and CEO of Bikubenfonden Søren Kaare-Andersen.

King Frederik and Queen Mary opened the show with a speech. They shared their warmest greetings to all award winners throughout the years, who have contributed to make a difference in arts, culture and social life in Denmark, the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Iceland.

Two-piece or jumpsuit? That is the big question. Mary was indeed wearing a reused black Max Mara jumpsuit. She first wore it at the presentation of the Danish Rainbow Award in 2020. Personally, I prefer that outfit from tonight - expect from her hairstyle. I like the soft curly hair from 2020. Makes a great match with the sleek jumpsuit.

I absolutely ADORE her wearing satin yellow accessories. The bright colored Prada clutch and the reused embellished Manolo Blahnik pumps are a wonderful choice. I love a splash of color! The details are exquisite. What is not to like?

Did you notice that huge yellow ring? Such a beautiful addition to her stunning outfit. The earrings almost deserve a post on their own. Her incredible new diamond earrings are creations from Julie Sandlau!

Child Welfare Day 2024

05 November 2024

Queen Mary attended the Child Welfare Day's award ceremony as patron of the Children Welfare Day at Copenhagen City Hall.

The Child Welfare Day has worked to help and strengthen placed children and young people in Denmark since 1904. This makes them Denmark's oldest humanitarian organisations. With projects, activities, camps, etc. the organisation give children and young people a quality of life and better prerequisites for mastering life.

Queen Mary handed over the Child Welfare Day's "This year's support" to Eva Riedel and Children's Welfare Day's Little Brother Award for "Effort of the Year" to Kevin Pedersen.

I am crazy in love with Mary's outfit at the Child Welfare Day! The colors are magical. It is no secret that I love the colors following autumn. Mary had chosen an ooolllldd brown suede jacket from Prada. Did you know that she first wore it in 2005 when visiting New York? The perfect example of "fashion never goes out of style". She matched the jacket with a beautiful dusty blouse and her Giuliva Heritage Collection skirt. It must be super comfortable to wear.

It is blouse new?

Love the twist with those leopard pumps from Gianvito Rossi. I am not a huge fan of anything animal printed. Nevertheless, I always look one more time when she is wearing these pumps. It is classy, right?

I really like how she wore 'understated' pieces of jewellery. Fine and elegant golden diamond earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry and a smashing ring from Rebekka Notkin. Mary also wore two beloved golden bangles. They are still a mystery to me.

Mary looked absolutely beautiful at the conference in Middelfart! She wore a bright red reused Erdem blouse featuring a lovely floral print. She has worn it on give other occasion like when attending the Women Deliver conference 2019 and for workshop on social norms with the Mary Foundation in 2019. This time, she matched it with a brand new black midi skirt and a fine Celine belt.

I was very pleased to see the chunky Jimmy Choo pumps again. Somehow, I think they looked stunning with the rest of her outfit. So elegant and classy. Her amazing light blue earrings and matching ring are both from Pomellato. Like how Mary embraced the delicate blue detail on the blouse with jewellery in the same color. Looks like she had a wonderful day and was 100% comfortable in her outfit.

Hubertus Hunt in Dyrehaven 2024

03 November 2024

Princess Josephine accompanied her mother at the annual Hubertus Hunt in Dyrehaven north of Copenhagen. They watched the hunt and associated obstacle course from the balcony of the Eremitage castle.

The Hubertus Hunt goes back to the year of 1900. Back in the days, the riders hunted down a fox with help from their dogs. Today, the fox is simply a rider with a foxtail.

Queen Mary also handed over the "Queen Mary's Honorary Award" to rider Niels Goldschmidt and his horse Irish Diamond. She also presented the medals to the first, second and third place of the Hubertus Hunt's pony riders. In order: Malou Kiran Grenal, Maise Broge Nielsen and Tilde Plaep.

I love this time a year! Mainly because of what we wear. Long coats, woolen sweaters, boots, scarves, etc. That's why I always look forward to her attending the Hubertus Hunt. Because of her outfit. This year, Mary had chosen a pair of smashing green velvet trousers, a creamy white turtleneck, a reused Seeland down-vest and a stunning long Strenesse coat.

The trousers have yet to be found. She first wore them at the same event in 2018 and then again in 2019, when visiting Roskilde. Really want green velvet trousers myself. I adore velvet! Mary has also worn the Strenesse coat before at a similar event in Gribskov in 2019.

Mary matched the clothes with stunning brown heeled leather boots, a reused Prada bag and a wide-brimmed felt hat - embellished with a Ragnar R. Jørgensen brooch. Her delicate diamond ring is from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. She later changed to a bright knitted beanie.
