Presentation of the National Education Awards 2021

27 September

It was time for the Crown Princess to attend yet another prestiges presentation: The Ministry of Education and Research's National Education Awards 2021. The awards are given to seven teachers or teams of teachers in higher education, who have both inspired and encouraged their students to learn in a more innovative way.

The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Education and Research in Copenhagen.

When arriving, the Crown Princess was welcomed by Minister of Education and Research Jesper Petersen and a flower girl handing over a bouquet to the Crown Princess. Shortly after the arrival, Crown Princess Mary entered the stage accompanied by Jesper Petersen and was ready to hand over the awards.

One of the award winner was Henriette Lorenzen from Copenhagen University College. Flemming Tvede Hansen and Maria Sparre-Petersen from the Royal Academy also received each their award for their amazing work. The other winners were Jakob Egholm Felt from Roskilde University, Nicole Schmitt from University of Copenhagen, Bo From Jacobsen and Claus Bjerre from UCL Business Academy and Vocational College, Maria Sparreming-Petersen Hansen from the Royal Academy, Lars Brian Bach from the Business Academy Kolding and Jan Sturm Almind from the Fredericia Mechanical Engineering School.

When attending the presentation of the National Education Awards 2021, Mary wore a lovely outfit. A dusty grey Hugo Boss blouse and a reused skirt featuring cool golden buttons. She first wore the skirt at the SRSR Conference in 2019 (here). I was not able to identify it back then and I still do not know where it is from. The blouse has also been seen before. Like, when she visited Finland in 2018 (here). A really lovely combination. Very business-like.

She accessorized this amazing outfit with simple pieces of jewellery. The earrings are likely to be from Annikat, but I have never been able to confirm it. Mary has worn them on several occasions. For instance, when celebrating Queen Margrethe on her 78th birthday in 2018 (here) and when opening af new panda plant in 2019 (here). A closer look revealed that she was also wearing one Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen band and a rather large diamond ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry.

In a way I do think the snakeskin Prada pumps do well with the rest of the look, but I am not sure I would have chosen them for this outfit. But I like the twist anyway. Another reuse, is the black Quidam clutch. Great detail.

Dinner for the Army Badge of Honor

26 September

What a night. Crown Princess Mary was invited to attend a very special dinner at Fredensborg hosted by her mother-in-law, Queen Margrethe. The Army Badge of Honor dinner is to honor and reward those form the made an extraordinary serviced in the Danish army. Guest from the Army, Navy and the Air Force were invited to the prestiges dinner.

The Army Badge of Honor medal is given to people, who served the army for 25 years. It was first given in 1945 on King Christian X's birthday and has been an annual tradition since then, but the dinner only takes place every third year.

We got a short glimpse of the Crown Princess, when she arrived to Fredensborg to attend the dinner for the Army Badge of Honor. She was just smiles and looked liked she was looking forward to spend an evening with good food, good company and maybe some good music.

As said, we only got a short and little glimpse of Mary at the arrival to Fredensborg. Nevertheless, that was just enough to see what she was wearing. Due to who was invited, Mary had chosen to wear a very special gown. The Armed Forces' uniform for women. It was designed a few of years ago. At that time, Mary also wore it for the first time, when attending the previous Army Badge of Honoray dinner (here). The dress (or uniform) is indeed beautiful. Just look at the silhouette, the neckline and the blazer-like-jacket.

Mary embraced the style by wearing two sets of earrings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. The mixed and matched two pairs of earrings and pendants. One golden and one silver. What a clever detail, don't you think? I like it. She also wore some golden rings. Her one ring is from I'm Jewel and the other one is a rather new ring from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The black clutch is a reuse, as I think her black pointed pumps are, but I have never been able to identify it.

I love that she is finally having these amazing hairstyles again. Her hair is really long and stunning, and it takes updo's as these. I love it!

The Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2021

25 September

For sure it was an evening of celebration, when Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary arrived to Vejle Music Teater. They were about to rehearse tonight's big show - the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2021. The place to honor and reward extraordinary work and achievements in both art, culture and social work.

In the evening, the royal couple arrived to the teater all dressed up for a wonderful night of celebrating those who have made an extra effort. They were warmly welcomed and both all smiles at the arrival. I guess this is a very special day for the couple. Both because they are able to honor and help artists, organisations, foundations, etc. and because it is a reminder of their wedding because the Crown Prince Couple's Prizes are handed over in company with Bikuben Fonden. It was their wedding gift to the couple.

It was indeed a great show. Both Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary entered the stage and presented the four awards. The Social Prize was given to the social organisation Mødrehjælpen. They have help mothers sine the begning of the 1900. Crown Princess Mary actually visited Mødrehjælpen to hear more about the organisation. It was filmed and broadcasted on the show. Lovely piece of footage (here).

Superflex, an artist group, received the Crown Prince Couple's Culture Prize because of their intens work to create alternative solutions on some of the most problematic global issues. The two Stardust Prizes were given to RedenUng and singer Erika de Casier.

At the rehearsal show, Mary was dressed as earlier when the couple visited Kongernes Jelling in Jelling (here). She matched a brand new striped sweater/vest from Lisa Yang with a dusty blue button-down blouse and simple black trousers. I like the idea of a sweater, a button-down and black trousers, but that sweater really looks way to small on her. Cannot wait to see how she will wear it again. The chic diamond earrings are from Sophie Bille Brahe and the golden bangle from Cartier. We also get a glimpse of a new ring and her old Dulong Fine Jewelry, as well as her Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond band.

In the evening, Mary has changed to something completely different. Her look went from chilled and relaxed to stylish and polished. The beautiful green embroidered skirt is from the Swedish Hennes & Mauritz. She first wore this beauty at Copenhagen Fashion Summit in 2018 (here). I really like the "adjustment" with the black low-shoulder blouse. This piece is also a reuse. Mary embraced the evening style by wearing emerald green earrings once purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction. The two bracelets are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and Cartier. I also see one of her Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond bands. She looked amazing in her outfit with the mesh pumps from Gianvito Rossi and glittery Sergio Rossi box clutch.

As told, Mary visited Mødrehjælpen. The visit was captured on tape and was later shown in the award show. At Mødrehjælpen, she stunned. I am truly impressed by her outfit and hope to copy every part of it one day. She paired her rather new Massimo Dutti blazer with a black blouse and trousers. The silhouette is just great. The accessories are new black suede ballet flats from Chloé, old golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, a Orit Elhanati necklace and one Dulong Fine Jewelry. She wore two golden rings from the same designer. Cartier created her bangle.

Kongernes Jelling

25 September

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary had traveled to Vejle in Jylland to hand over the prestiges Crown Prince Couple's Prize 2021 in Vejle Music Theater. Before the award show, the couple paid a visit to Museum Kongernes Jelling in Jelling.

Kongernes Jelling is a museum telling stories about the vikings - their kings and impressive buildings. During their visit, the royal couple had plenty time to both greet those who wished for a glimpse of the couple and for their "more official" duties.

Among others, the Crown Prince Couple were told about a new project called Jelling Viking Test Center. They were also shown one of the greatest golden treasures in all of Denmark's history found in Vindlev close to Jelling. The gold treasure is nearly one kilo of gold estimated to have been covered with dirt for more than 1,500 years.

The Couple also had time to visit Jelling Højene. It has its very own number on UNESCO's World Heritage List.

On their way to Jelling, the couple shard a few words and a photo from one of their previous visits (here). Even the couple recognized how little the kids are.

Visiting Jelling, Mary had chosen a comfortable and warm outfit. Really, the weather is not that warm any more here in Denmark. Sarah was able to identify her brand new sweater/vest as Lisa Yang. I am not quite sure what I actually think about this new piece. I like the idea of it, but somehow it looks like the shrunk on her. She matched her new knitted sweater with a simple dust blue button-down. In a way, I think we have seen this shirt before, but I am not quite sure. The black trousers made the outfit looks really relaxed and everyday-like. Kate identified her new coat as Lilienfels.

Mary also accessorized her look with some jewellery for instance her beloved diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and a rather new bangle from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The other golden bracelets is a Cartier creation. I see an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamonds band as well and another ring (or rings) on her right hand. Still, I need a quality close-up to tell more. Hopefully, that will be possible soon. The same goes with her black (suede?) boots.
