Day 6.

The Olympic Games 2024

02 August 2024

Handball match: Denmark VS Hungary

Queen Mary was accompanied by Helle Trolle and Malou Skeel when attending a handball match between Denmark and Hungary for men. The match took place at Paris South Arena.

Numerous Danish politicians, like former Prime Minster Lars Løkke Rasmussen also watched the exciting handball match.

Denmark won 28-25!

Mary supported the Danish team by wearing the official 'Denmark- t-shirt designed by Vero Moda. Looks like she matched the bright red blouse with creamy-colored trousers and a brown leather belt. The favorite color-combo: red and white.

She accessorized her outfit with beloved Gucci glasses and two golden bracelets from Dulong Fine Jewelry. I get a glimpse of diamond earrings. Never identified. I believe she would have worn three folden necklaces as well, but I have not been able to find a photos proving it.

What an outfit! Love her new Rabens Saloner trousers. The kinda style we rarely see Mary wear. Baggy and casual. Usually, she wears black trousers with wide legs when wearing trousers. Dress-pants. I like this cool look. She matched them with a reused soft blue Bagutta button-down blouse and a brand new belt from Zimmermann.

Mary had chosen golden jewellery from Halberstadt, Dulong Fine Jewelry and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I am really interested in her rather new golden diamond ring own of her pinky. This has become a huge trend. So far, it is still a mystery to me.

She also embraced her outfit with blue Gucci sunglasses, a Canopy Bay by Deborah Hutton hat and her brown cross-body bag from Chloe. Her chic sandals are Hermés.

The Heartland Festival 2016

Saturday, June 11th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the Heartland Festival, hereat Egeskov castle at Funen.

After a few busy weeks for both the Crown Prince and Crown Princess, my guess is tha the couple needed a little time on their on, enjoying each others company. This could be why the royal couple attended the Heartland Festical taking place in the castle park at Egeskov castle at the island of Funen. The castle is owned by Count Michael Ahlefeldt and Countess Caroline Ahlefeldt. Good friend of the royal couple. The Count and Countess have multiple times attended events with the royal family, as the Crown Prince couple has attended numerous of their celebrations - like they did this weekend. According to Fyens, here, the couple arrived around 5:00 pm. in their silver-grey car followed by a motorcade of three other cars. Introduced to some of the festivals events, the couple really seemed to enjoy everything. Among others, they joined a debate between Bjarke Ingels (Danish architect) and Brian Eno (British composer, producer and musician).

I find her boho-casual style very interesting. Not something we usually see her wear. Though, lately Mary has been wearing these more causal and relaxed outfits. Maybe she's trying out a new side of her style? So far, I like it. Think these comfortable outfits are very inspirational - don't you think? Easy to copy if you'd like to. At the festival, Mary was dressed in a pair of black trousers and a reused white peplum blouse from Rabens Saloner featuring lovely lace details. Then she wore a brand new jacquard jacket in the most incredible colours. I found it at a designer I don't believe Mary has ever worn before - it is from IRO. Her sister-in-law Princess Marie has been seen in their designs on several occasions. But it is the first time for Mary. She matched the rest of the outfit with a pair of black and white sneakers. Worn before, but never identified delisted multiple attempts. Though, with help from you I have been able to track down, where her sneakers are from. They are from By Malene Birger. Mary looked lovely embracing the style with a cross-body bag from Chloé, a golden Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen ring and Hartmann's earrings.

The Reumert Award 2015

Sunday, June 21st

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the annual Reumert Award 2015 show in Skuespilhuset, Copenhagen.

It was a bit of an... unusual show this year. It has become a tradition for me to watch the broadcast of the Reumert Award. Something I have been doing for quite some years and I really enjoy it -or I use to. This year's show was... a bit laud, chaotic and... different. This might be the best way for me to describe how last night's show was. I use to like to watch the broadcast because it is a great way to see and hear all about past year in the world of art, good for those of us who do not have the chance to attend live theaters. It is a fantastic world to see, hear and feel. But the way it was presented last night, then I'm a little embarrassed on behalf of the performing art and artist in Denmark. My personal opinion is that you have, as hosts, the duty to make a decent show/performance. The felling I had last night was non of this, yes the couple behaved decent and laughed when something seemed to be fun. It was kinda embarrassing, but remember this is just my opinion. Nevertheless, the Crown Prince couple seemed to enjoy themselves. 26 awards were also handed over, here, to singers, artists etc. during the evening. Congratulations to all of them.

This morning I helped a few of my colleagues at Royalista trying to identify what Mary was wearing at the Reumert Award show. What a great way to start a day. After everything said above, I have to express how amazed I am about everything Mary was wearing. Her white dreamy dress reminds me a lot of what she wore when attending the Eurovision Song Contest last year, here. Do you see the similarities? It may be because of the kimono. One of the best designers when it comes to kimono's is Rabens Saloner (Spring/Summer S13), who also created this long embroidered piece. It was identified by Kate with information from Rabens Saloner's Facebook page, here. The white maxi dress is still a mystery to me. I like it a lot actually, but where it's from I can't tell. Not even the design gives a clue who the designer is. So, if you have any ideas I would love to hear from you. Another brand new piece is the golden glitter pumps, which I managed to find at Gianvito Rossi. Not a surprise at all, am I right? It seems to be her favourite shoe designer these days. She embrace the style with other golden accessories like Queen Earrings, an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen ring and her magnificent Judith Leiber clutch. I am still wondering where her new golden bracelet is from. Any ideas? Love how the outfit is simply white and golden, and the fact that her makeup is all dramatic. A stunning match in my opinion.

The Final Eurovision Song Contest 2014

Saturday, May 10th

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen.

Bt.dk

The grand final is here! And what better why than celebration Denmark as the host country of the Eurovision Song Contest to invite the Crown Prince Couple. Only two days ago, on May 8th, attended Mary along with Prince Christian and Princess Isabella the second semi-final of the contest which took place in Copenhagen like the grand finale did two days later. Prominent guests arrived one by one to watch the long-awaited final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 hosted by Denmark this year because Emilie de Forest won with her song Only Teardrops last year. The Danes haven't been talking about anything else for the last couple of weeks and it is suppose to be a major show with incredible special-effects. As some of the last ones, arrived Frederik and Mary both in an excellent mood. Laughing, joking and clearly ready to enjoy the evening together watching the finale live. And from the pictures I have seen I believe they both had a wonderful night, celebrating Austria when they won. Which of course deserves a congratulations from me!

Like the show was predicted to be this amazing show, something no one has every seen before I have to admit that I have been looking so much forward to see what Mary would be wearing at an evening like this. I do not think she has ever attended something similar before. My expectation was major! And I differently wasn't disappointed. A truly remarkable outfit she wore at the contest. With an outfit like this, Mary showed how to represent a small country like Denmark. She litteraly brightened up the room in her brand new kimono found at Rabens Saloner. She radiated like no one else! The kimono features the most incredible embroidered details, fringes and colourful rhinestones. I'm so fascinated. What is not to love about it?! She perfectly matched it with a simple black dress and her ostrich clutch from Jayson Brunsdon. With all these accessories I would feel way overdressed but Mary makes it work -as always. It's not too much at all. Her eye makeup was flawless and her hair was just smashing. Curly hair makes her look so beautiful, especially because of the huge Amrita Singh earrings you really noticed how stunning her hair is. Golden as the details on the kimono she added golden jewelleries from both Marianne Dulong, Shamballa Jewels and I’m Jewel. Wauw there are so many things to look at. I can't stop staring. And those shoes?! -glitter leopard pumps from Gianvito Rossi (Pre AW12). This is one fashionable outfit.

Day 1: Visit to Jordan

August, 21

Crown Princess Mary and Christian Friis Bach, Minister of Development, visited Jordan and their refugees. The reason for their visit was to focus on the war in Syria and all the refugees who are suffering during this war. Crown Princess Mary are visiting refugee camps

This is such an important visit, not only for Denmark to have a Crown Princess who take the time to actually do a visit like this but also for all the over 120,000 refugees who are running for their lives and only try to survive. We all know how much these people suffer and it makes me so happy to know that Mary use her title as Crown Princess to support and help those people. Because they really need help. What I like when I see all the pictures from today and every other visit is the way Mary act. No one is too small or poor to get her attention. She talks to as many children and old people as possible. I think it is important to Mary that she see with her own eyes that the help she try to give actually help. We can't imagine how it is to be right there; look at those who badly need some help and as one person can't do a thing. With Mary we can. I respect her so much, to be open hearted and do something about the issues. To me Mary is more like a star. She know that there is photographers and journalists everywhere following every single step of hers and still she is down on the ground talking to the children and comfort them. All her attention is given to the refugees. To see one be surrounded by so many is incredible and almost impossible. I'm impress by her care and sympathy.

It is important to me to give all attention to her job because this is about human life. That's why her clothes must go a side. A thing to mention is her clothes is not too laud. You find what I know about her look down below from the beginning of the day to a late evening event.

Vacation at Gråsten

To me there is something special about this yearly family gathering. Queen Margrethe and her husband Prince Henrik invites their children, grandchildren etc for some good days together all by themselves. One of the only time a year the royal family are on their own, away from the public. The atmosphere is just so unique; the children are running around and playing and the adults are having fun even though every step are followed by photographers. This is the time a year when they are allow to act completely normal and do whatever they want - the day are not planned like everything else; anything can happen such day. That's what I love to so much! In my opinion, which you of course do not have to share with me, the royals are something special and not like everybody else but we still want to see them as we are. We respect their title (or at least some do) and they respect our wish to see them act normal.

Well, enough about thoughts. Mary was absolutely fantastic in her new dark blue Rabens Saloner (Spring/Summer 2013) dress featuring a elastic belt and wide neckline. One thing I noticed is, when Frederik and Mary are somewhere together they always wear clothes that match each other. Which also was the case here because Frederik was in a blue Ralph Lauren shirt and beige shorts - like his oldest son Prince Christian, he was also in a green Ralph Lauren shirt. Princess Isabella and her little sister were in each a floral dress and sandals and ballet flats. Prince Vincent in a sweet blue and white checkered shirt with blue shorts matching his mom and dad. Four very cute children of theirs!

Let us go back to our wonderful Mary because her outfit was quite interesting, great components were matched together with the new blue dress. I think I'll start from her shoes today - a little unusual as everything else about this day. Theresa identified her new white lace wedges as Tory Burch, which I fell in love with immediately, I kinda fancy the style and combination with the casual dress and the feminine wedges. Think I need a pair of similar wedges for my summer wardrobe... As casual her look was as expensive jewellery she were wearing. Marianne Dulong is the one of designed both two of the three bracelets and the oval shapes earrings. Love that the pendant is green, the same colour as her son's shirt! Great detail. The third bracelet is Shamballa Jewels. Her sunglasses is her model from Prada (2012). Is this a wonderful outfit or what?!

Crown Princess Mary out for Dinner

June, 13

Crown Princess Mary went out for a dinner with one of her good friend Caroline Flemming at the restaurant Geist. Crown Princess Mary followed Caroline Flemming back to her room at the Hotel D’Angleterre in Copenhagen.

Ekstrabladet.dk

The reason I really want to write this post is because of Mary's outfit, I fell in love with every single part when I saw one of the few pictures. Something I just need to try on my own, every component of this everyday/girl's night out were stunning. It makes me realize who great an everyday outfit can be with the right clothes and accessories.

Mary and Caroline have been friend for quite some years and a night like this is what everyone want to do sometimes also if your name is Mary and you are the Crown Princess of Denmark. Mary picked Caroline up after a trip on her white bike from the Castle followed by one of her lifeguard.

Actually she was wearing the exact same white peplum from Rabens Saloner when she attended the Children's Relay a few days ago, she changed to a pair of skinny dark jeans and some pretty amazing new shoes. I fell in love with the at first sight - the combination of colours and the fact that they are a bit different than many other shoes Mary's have, I only have to say that it is my biggest wish to see her wear them again on an official event where we might are able to see them better. After quite some hours I was able to identify them. The reason why it took that long was because I found out they were from a Spring 2011 collection from... Prada - of course. You might remember the jacket with the pink hemline and if not I'll tell you anyway. The lovely jacket is created by Danish designer Julie Fagerholt, Heartmade. To match the pink details on the 3/4 sleeved jacket, she added a powder pink lace scarf to the outfit when she was bicycling through town. What can do this even more perfect, a grey Prada handbag.

Crown Princess Mary attended the Children's Relay in Fælledparken in Copenhagen as a tradition.

Some more details about the Children's Relay
The Children's Relay started back in 2008. It has been an upcoming event every year since. The project is made in collaboration with The Mary Foundation (Mary Fonden) and Save The Children (Red Barnet). The relay focuses on serious issues like bullying. They want to make sure the children knows how important it is to be a good friend, she respect, to cooperate and have the courage to act. Read much more here.

It is always a pleasure to see pictures of Mary when she participate in the yearly Children's Relay in Aarhus or Copenhagen; this year in Copenhagen. Surrounded by children all day, giving medals to the participants kids and giving a speech are just some of the usual things she do every year. What I like about this day is that she's on an official event but still she's dressed casual, acting like it was unofficial and all her attention goes to the kids and they love her. This year was also a bit special because Mary's oldest son, Prince Christian participated in the run. When he finished, she was ready with a huge and a golden medallion which she placed around his neck.

As I mentioned Mary is wearing casual clothing's and I have to say that her everyday style is one I really like. So easy to copy and you are sure it will work absolutely perfect. The white lace Rabens Saloner she once wore with a pencil skirt that gave her a more sophisticated look than with the bootcut jeans from today - which actually is those kind of jeans Mary use to wear, they give her a beautiful shape and is ideal to wear with pumps or heeled sandals. She chose new wedges-ballet flats from BLOCH. They look really so comfortable and I like the things with the black cap-toe and the little bow. The sunglasses is designed by the great singer Madonna for Dolce & Gabbana that's why there is added a M in front of D&G.

A specific piece of jewellery she wore was the silver bracelet on her left arm, a Mandela Bangle with the number 46664, the number of his cell when she was in prison. He is led out in 1990. If I'm correct Frederik has a bracelet too or it mitt be the same they share. When buying the bangle you give your support.
