Crown Prince Christian celebrates his 20th birthday! We need to congratulate him with this milestone. The 20s is such an exciting time. Doors open and bring so many new opportunities.

Seven new photos were released on occasion of the Crown Prince's birthday. The photos were taken at and around Amalienborg.

Welcome to a new board member

October 10, 2025

Queen Mary and the Mary Foundation welcomed two new members of the foundation's board. The new board members are Klaus Dallerup and Michael Vad.

Klaus Dallerup is the leader of the Financial Services and Private Equity & Principal Investors Practices in the Middle East, Asia and Europe. He also leads the McKinsey's digital and multichannel work.

Michael Vad advises boards of directors and top management in Danish and international companies. He is partner at Deloitte who offers auditing, tax, and consulting services to both private and public companies.

Queen Mary wore a chic dark blue The Fold London suit. She first wore the beautiful suit at the presentation of the EliteForsk awards on February 26th 2024. Mary also flashed the suit at a visit at the Deaconess Foundation in November 2024. I kinda missed the colorful blouse as in 2024. How do you like a suit worn?

At the meeting at Frederik VIII's Palace on October 10 Mary styled the business look with golden earrings from Orit Elhanati and her beloved diamond necklace from Louise Grønlykke. My guess is that she added navy blue suede pumps to complete the outfit.

Meeting with Queen Mary Centre's Advisory Committee

October 08, 2025

On Wednesday Queen Mary attended a meeting with the Queen Mary Centre's Advisory Committee to discuss the centre's businessplan for the next five years.

The Advisory Committee meet twice a year to and contributes to offer strategic support to the Queen Mary Centre's leaders. The committee is part of the Queen Mary Centre which was founded three years ago on occasion of the Queen's 50th birthday.

Mary wore a chic suit (likely from Harris Wharf London) and a nice chocolate brown button-down blouse. We only have a few photos from her attending the meeting and the one showing her entire outfit is in black and white. It makes it a bit difficult to tell anything for sure about the suit.

She embraced the businesslike outfit with reused golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. We also get a glimpse of a golden leaf ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. We haven't seen that for quite some years. Her Louise Grønlykke necklace is beautiful.

For the meeting Mary chose her Decadent Copenhagen bag and leopard (!) pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

It's always exciting with annual event because it makes us able to "compare" looks. Not just to says which ones we prefer the most but to compare her style evolving every years. Personally I loved her outfits around 2007-2010. That being said I adore her outfits in present time.

This year Mary was wearing a beloved black peplum jacket from Scanlan Theodore and a beautiful reused lace skirt from Lunatica Milano. I'm I the only one who's getting a 50s vibe of this?

Mary accessorized the vintage look with stunning pearl earrings and a matching brooch. Both pieces are part of the Danish Pearl Poiré Parure. The custom-made Dulong Fine Jewelry ring was a perfect addition to the other pearl jewellery.

She seems rather fond of wearing the color bordeaux these days. So did she at the opening on October 7th. The clutch is still unidentified but the elegant hat is from Jane Taylor and her pumps are Gianvito Rossi.

An all black outfit is rarely my thing. I think its way too dark - and a bit boring but Mary nailed it at the concert Monday evening! She rocked a reused black Paul Smith suit (once worn by Princess Isabella) and a brand new lace blouse from Róhe. The blouse changed my mind. Her outfit went from bull to super classy.

Mary styled the Paul Smith suit with simple pointed black pumps from Gianvito Rossi. She was worn then on many different occasions. The braided Bottega Venete clutch has also been in her wardrobe for quite a few years but it's not her most worn clutch.

As jewellery she had chosen exclusive diamond earrings custom-made by Dulong Fine Jewelry. The golden leaf ring from I'm Jewel also goes some years back. I kinda missed it. She paired it with an beloved diamond ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

Mary truly looked magical at the presentation at Copenhagen City Hall. She wore a wonderful bordeaux Alexander McQueen skirt and a matching printed Roberto Cavalli blouse. She has only worn the blouse once in 2020 when presenting the winners of the Media Competition. I kinda missed it. Love the added bordeaux leather belt. Nice detail.

Both the little suede clutch and pointed Gianvito Rossi pumps had the exact same tone of bordeaux to compliment the rest of her outfit. Love when she pair colors like this. Takes quite a few years of experience to style outfits with such perfection.

Mary also embraced the look with new golden earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry, a diamond necklace from Louise Grønlykke and a Cartier watch. A closer look revealed that her bracelets and rings are all created by skilled Dulong Fine Jewelry.

Ud & Se

"Mary Important Person"

October 02, 2025

Ud & Se is one of the most read magazines in Denmark. It is a magazine you will find in public trains and on the train stations. Ud & Se is published by DSB.

Journalist Benjamin Dane from Ud & Se got the opportunity to follow the Queen for two days on a secret visit to Nigeria in June. For two days he witnessed a Queen at work. He observed her and her surroundings. Talked to people and watched how she interacted with everyone presented to her. Photographer Morten Germund captured some wonderful photos of the Queen for the article.

The last day in Nigeria, the journalist had about fifteen minitues to interview the Queen.

Are there times on a trip like this when you wish you could  – just for a moment – be Mary and not Queen Mary?

“Not so much on these kinds of trips, the times don’t allow it. But other times, when there’s room in the program where I can withdraw and disappear for a bit, as best I can. With all the security here, it’s not easy. But sometimes I manage to get out and experience a bit of life on the streets, and I really appreciate that.”

Do you remember when you last did that?

“It has been a few years since. But I remember on trip I was on – I think it was in Ethiopia – where I had my camera with me. Back then, I often took my own camera with me on trips. We were out in the countryside and came across a group of children bathing in a river. I asked if we could make a quick stop. And we did. I got to take some photos and got in touch with the children. It was such a nice, spontaneous experience.”

Exactly eight years the Queen was also interviewed by Ud & Se.

Morten Germund's photos are truly mesmerizing! I love the casual setting (messy) setting and softness of the photos. Mary matched the set-up perfectly in her big and casual white button-down blouse and wide-legged JOSEPH trousers. As simple as it can get.

Mary styled her outfit with chic dark grey suede Gianvito Rossi pumps. The golden bracelets are both from talented Danish designer Rebekka Notkin. The diamond is is often worn with her engagement ring.

I really like how her outfit is so understated. Makes the interview just about her.

Don't know about the black Harris Wharf London coat with the white Carla Zampatti set but it suits her very well. I'm crazy in love with the new Zampatti blouse and matching trousers! This clean white set makes her look so elegant and polished. I really like the simple detailing with the wide "belt".

I'm a huge fan of her slick hairstyle. What a talented hair stylist who created this masterpiece. Mary also embraced the perfect evening outfit with stunning diamond earrings owned by Anne of Orange. Her ivy diamond brooch is also inherited from Princess Caroline's jewellery box.

A closer look revealed a black leather clutch from Diane von Furstenberg and cap-toe pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

A Lift event in Esbjerg

September 30, 2025

Yesterday, Queen Mary posted a few words about being young and feeling lonely. These words led to her visit today in Esbjerg as representative from the Mary Foundation attending the Lift event.

Lift is an initiative by the Mary Foundation aiming to ensure the all young people feel seen and supported. statistics show that an increasing number of young people feel lonely. The Lift program want to take care of that and help those living with loneliness and has been since 2023.

The Queen started her day with a visit at Esbjerg Gymnasium. She was accompanied by the CEO of the Mary Foundation Helle Østergaard. The then visited Ungehuset (the youth house) and talked to young people and their supervisors about their experiences with Lift.

Then followed at visit at Platformen - a cultural and community center in Esbjerg.

Mary has found her favorite palettes of color this autumn: dark brown, burgundy and bordeaux. I like that very much. When visiting Esbjerg Gymnasium and Platformen she had chosen a brand new chocolate brown sweater from alice+olivia paired with stone grey wide-legged trousers and a beloved Harris Wharf London blazer. Say no more. What is not to like?

Did you notice the little heart on her right cuff?

Sure I would have preferred a pair of pumps or maybe heeled boots but I still like that she chose simple black suede boots.

She first wore these diamond earrings years ago and I have still not been able to identify who created them. Nevertheless they look beautiful with her outfit. Understed but elegant. The same goes with her Decadent Copenhagen handbag. So chic and classy!

"What does it mean to feel lonely?"

September 29, 2025

Queen Mary will be attending the Lift-event on September 30th in Esbjerg. Lift is an initiative by the Mary Foundation aiming to ensure the all young people feel seen and supported. Many young people feel lonely and insecure. The Lift-project want to change that statistics.

Prior to the visit in Esbjerg tomorrow, Queen Mary posted a few words on the topic on the Mary Foundation's social media. Because: what does it really mean to feel lonely?

By looking at the photo my guess is that Mary is sitting in her office at Frederik VIII's Palace at Amalienborg. She was wearing a lovely bordeaux blouse with long sleeves. I can't remember is we have indeed seen this before but I think we have. Looks like Mary matched it with grey tweed trousers and maybe grey heeled boots or black pumps?

Her fine tortoise-like glasses are a reuse from Gucci. This outfit is perfect for a quite day in your office. Right?

A very special (embroidered) present

September 26, 2025

King Frederik and Queen Mary were presented a very special present created by Queen Margrethe herself. The Queen gifted her son and daughter-in-law with two chairs covered with her own embroidery of the couple's monogram's.

The two new chairs are to be found at the permanet exhibition at Frederiksborg Castle. The King and Queen will be using the chairs when attending events at the castle.

I love when Mary is color-coordinating her outfits. Just like she did on September 26th at Frederiksborg Castle. Seems like she is quite fond of The Fold London at the moment. Mary has been wearing their designs a lot lately. So did she when presented the impressive work from the hands of Queen Margrethe. Both blouse and trousers are from The Fold London.

Mary styled the stunning outfit with a matching suede belt (still unidentified) and elegant rose quartz earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry. She has been wearing these earrings since 2009. The design is outstanding for both everyday use and for a night out. Her beautiful diamond necklace is from Louise Grønlykke. We also get a glimpse of her shoes. I think she could be wearing reused burgundy pumps. Likely from Gianvito Rossi.

Evening of Research

September 24, 2025

Queen Mary was welcomed like a Hollywood star when she arrived at the National Museum of Denmark to attend Evening of Research.

During the evening the guests were presented results of the latests scientific research. Osteoarchaeologist Samantha Scott Reiter spoke about European identity. Historian Christian Ammitzbøll Thomsen about the early past of democracy. Archaeologist and museum curator Jeanette Varberg about a globalized antiquity, and historian Rasmus Voss about Danish colonial attempts in Greenland.

Director of the National Museum Rane Willerslev handed over a jubilee medal to Ida Nicolaisen, former associate professor of cultural sociology and anthropology at the University of Copenhagen, in recognition of her efforts for the benefit of the museum.

Mary arrived like a Hollywood star and looked like a moviestar on the red carpet! She wore a brand new midnight blue gown from Carla Zampatti. The detailing are exquisite. Simple but so elegant. Looks like she had it altered a bit. The length suits her very well.

I love that she embraced the style by wearing her blue aquamarine and diamond earrings. She first wore them for an interview with Vogue Australia in 2004. One of my favorite interviews and photosessions The earrings were then told to be a present from her beloved husband. I have never been able to confirm it but I find it likely to be a fact.

Think I got a glimpse of a ring as well as a black glitter clutch. Her stunning blue satin pumps are a reuse from Gianvito Rossi.

What a beautiful outfit Mary wore at the Nordic Rare Diseases Summit on September 17th. I love the printed Zimmermann dress and the brown suede Prada jacket. Did you know that Mary first wore this jacket back in January 2005 when visiting New York? The Zimmermann dress goes back to the christening of Prince Gustav Albrecht in 2023.

Mary embraced the style by wearing golden diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and a bangle from Rebekka Notkin. I'm still very much interested in learning more about the diamond ring. Looks like three diamond bands but I think it's only one ring.

Her stunning suede brown pumps are new ones from Gianvito Rossi. Mary rocked this outfit!

Love the colors Mary chose for the event! It's a wonderful match of colors, different fabrics and silhouettes. Mary wore a stunning printed blouse from ME+EM and The Fold London trousers. She paired it with an amazing Harris Wharf London blazer and beige trenchcoat. What is not to like. Later on she changed from blazer to knitted sweater. A brand new one from Jardin des Orangers.

Mary accessorized her outfit with golden diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and a custom-made Dulong Fine Jewelry ring. Simple, yet elegant. When gardening Mary wore a pair of Kent&Stowe gloves.

When arriving at GeoCenter Møns Klint she was wearing a brown pair of Malone Souliers pumps. Later on she changed to brown suede boots. Think we have seen them before but I'm not quite sure. Do you recognize them?

Feels like Mary has now welcomed autumn. Do we like that? YES
