The Government's celebrations of the proclamation

Usually, Queen Margrethe arrives last. That changed on January 14th with the proclamation from one generation to another.

On January 15th, the Danish Government celebrated the proclamation with a gathering in morning at Christiansborg (here).

Princess Benedikte, Prince Joachim and Crown Prince Christian also attended the event. This was King Frederik and Queen Mary's first official event after the proclamation.

The royal family attended a following reception in the Langstings Hall.

For the proclamation I wished for something blue or purple. I truly hoped for something colorful. Instead, Mary had chosen a brand new white dress designed by Søren Le Schmidt and tailored by Birgit Hallstein. On her first job as "Queen of Denmark" Mary reused a navy blue cashmere set. A jacket and a skirt, which were designed by Danish designer Ole Yde and later tailored by Birgit Hallstein. She first wore the set in 2022 (here).

This time, she embraced the color of the set with same-color gloves, a custom-made Susanne Juul felt hat and leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi. At first, I was also misled by the designer of her clutch. It is in fact an old one from 1602 - NOT Carlend Copenhagen as other claimed.

As jewellery, Mary had chosen her beloved Connaught Sapphire brooch. It was given to her by Queen Margrethe, when she gave birth to Crown Prince Christian in 2005. It belonged to Queen Ingrid. The flower-shaped diamond earrings from purchased at an Bruun Rasmussen auction. Her necklaces are from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau.

"A Queen's Jewellery Box"

Celebrating ones 50th anniversary as Queen of Denmark makes a full calendar - even though many of the events have either been cancelled or given a new date. But the opening of the exhibition "A Queen's Jewellery Box" was still on. 

The exhibition is exhibited at Christian VIII's Palace at Amalienborg. On display are over 200 known and more unknown pieces of jewellery of hers exhibited. They all have something to do with her personal life and of course, her life as Queen of Denmark. A part of the exhibition focused on Queen Ingrid's jewellery later inherited to her daughter.

For the opening, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary has chosen to take the short walk from their home at Frederik VIII's Palace to Christian VIII's Palace. The are a few hundred meters apart. Princess Benedikte also attended the official opening honouring her sister on occasion of her big sisters anniversary.

Director of Kongernes Samling, cabinet secretary Henning Fode and museum director Thomas C. Thulstrup gave the opening speeches. They were followed by the Queen herself, who officially opened the exhibition.

Well, well, well. What a look! For me, it was love a first sight. It took me breathless. Just look at her, she shine like a star on a cloudless night. Mary truly impressed me with her red tweed skirt from Alexander McQueen and that creamy white Ralph Lauren jacket. Both pieces are previously own on several occasions. Among other events, she wore the skirt at the presentation of Hjertneforeningen's and Børnehjertefonden's Research Grants 2019 (here). The stunning light brown wool shawl is also on old pieces. I have never been able to identify it, but maybe one day I will.

Mary embraced the style of her magnificent outfit by wearing yellow and white diamond earrings. The impressive, rather huge, diamond ring are from Dulong Fine Jewelry. The other one is a golden diamond ring from Rebekka Notkin.

I do not know if you noticed her new golden brooch as well? Many did not see it. I recognized it right away: it a design by Ditte Bjerregaard and Sofie Elkjær Jensen. They created this incredible golden brooch on occasion of the 50th anniversary for Georg Jensen. The design is inspired by the Queen's quite: "God's help, the love of the people, the strength of Denmark". The Queen was given a special edition in gold and with studded diamonds (here). Mary's is in plain gold. The brooch can be purchased, but in silver with a golden detail. She also matched the outfit with same-colour Prada pumps and her 1602 clutch.

The EliteForsk Awards 2020

Finally, she is back for a few days again. We are missing her and the rest of the family, right? The reason for Crown Princess Mary being in Denmark these days is to attend the annual presentation of the EliteForsk Awards and travel grants 2020.

The award show goes back to 2007 with purpose to create attention about research in Denmark. EliteForsk Awards are given by the Danish Ministry of Education and Research. This year the presentation took place in the Opera, center of Copenhagen and the Crown Princess was welcomed by Minister of Education and Research, Ane Halsboe-Jørgensen.

It was with a big smile on her face that she entered the stage and gave a speech followed by a presentation of this years five winners: Professor Sine Reker Hadrup, Professor Mads Meier Jæger, Professor Anders Møller, Professor Tobias Richter and Professor Riikka Rinnan. Congratulations to each one of them with the prestigious gratuity it is to win an EliteForsk Award. What a pleasure it must be to be congratulated by the Crown Princess on such an important day of one's life. I wouldn't mind having that experience to tell my grandchildren.

Crown Princess Mary also handed over 18 travel grants from the Ministry of Education and Research to several talented researchers and students of the field.

I was thrilled about last years outfit - her in that bright red Dolce & Gabbana dress and grey wool-blend coat, here. Another success this year. Mary repeated a success by wearing her lovely JOSEPH coat. She also kept warm with beige leather gloves, which perfectly matched the beige 1602 clutch. It is made of certified Nile crocodile skin and comes with a removable shoulder-strap. So far, Mary has only dazzled wearing this little bag as a clutch.

For the sixth time Mary stunned wearing her grey tweed dress from Prada. It features a black belt embracing her slim waist and a white Peter Pan collar.

She first showed this incredible dress at the 3rd World Conference on Women's Shelters in 2015, here. Then we saw her in the dress again in 2016 at the presentation of Women's Board Award, here. In 2017, this wonderful dress followed Mary when she attended WHO Award and presenting the EliteForsk Awards of 2017, here. She also showed how to look when visiting the European Council in Strasbourg in 2018, here. Last year, is the last time we have seen her wear the beautiful dress. It was when she attended "Green Challenge" at University of Copenhagen, here. One of my favorite dresses!

Attending the presentation of EliteForsk Awards 2020 in the Opera, Mary embraced the style by wearing impressive diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and a Dulong Fine Jewelry diamond ring. Two other golden bracelets are also designed and created by Dulong Fine Jewelry and the third one is her legendary Cartier love bangle.

Note that she was also wearing two other diamond bracelets on her right wrist. The golden one we know is from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and is from their Love Bands-collection. Turns out, the other one is from the same creator and collection, but made of yellow gold. I am crazy about this outfit. Everything from her diamond earrings to her rose-colored Gianvito Rossi pumps. Really, what is not to love?

The 100th anniversary of the diplomatic relationsship between Denmark and Poland

IN WARSAW

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary had traveled to Warsaw in Poland to attend the marking of the 100th anniversary of the re-establishment of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Poland.

The one-day visit takes place with royal attendance because the couple have personally been invited by H.E. President of Poland, Andrzej Duda. He and his wife warmly welcomed the Crown Prince Couple when they arrived to the presidential palace. Here they were officially welcomed and attended  lunch hosted by the Polish Presidential Couple.

Later on Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary accompanied the Presidential Couple at laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider. The atmosphere were quiet and honoring. They also attended the opening of a historian conference at Uniwersytet Warszawski such as visiting the Centrum Weterana - a centre for veterans.

Meanwhile Crown Prince Frederik payed attention on other things, Crown Princess Mary attended the launch of "Cities Changing Diabetes" - a project Warsaw is now part of. She also participated a roundtable-meeting on the inclusion of people with disabilities.

CONCERT & REPCETION

After a long day in Warsaw in company of the Polish Presidential Couple, Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary were guests of honor at the concert and following reception at Palac Kultury in Nauki, Poland. The evening events were a perfect way to end the day and the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Denmark and Poland.

The couple was in a splendid mood when they arrived to Palac Kultury. They were about to watch a concert orchestrated by Czeslaw Mozil, a Danish-Polish musician also known as hosting the Polish X-Factor. It looks like a wonderful evening with lots of music, sining and smiles.

When arriving to Poland Mary was beautifully dressed in a chic winter outfit. Lovely colors and amazing prints. From what I have seen she is only wearing reused clothes and accessories. Finally we get to see her in that matching Strenesse coat and skirt. Love the 60s vibe with a suit-like outfit. Both coat and skirt are made of a wool-blend fabric that makes them perfect for this time a year - with or without thighs. She embraced the style by wearing her old printed blouse from Stine Goya. That blouse and that blue color are just a great combination. At one point she also wore one of her light brown shawls.

As jewellery Mary had chosen - once again - white pearls. I still have no ID on who created those incredible diamond and pearl earrings. But the stunning white pearl ring is a Dulong Fine Jewelry design such as with the bracelet. We also got a little glimpse of what I strongly believe is her golden Cartier bangle.

I am sure you also noticed how well her clutch, shoes and gloves matched in color, right? Personally I really like when ones accessory are the same color. Makes an outfit look more complete. Mary is master of getting the colors right. This time she chose her 1602 beige clutch and pointed python pumps from Gianvito Rossi, which we have seen quite a lot the last couple of months. Her outfit is not surprising at all, but she played save - and won!

Mary simply stunned in her new dark red velvet dress. Does that dress say "it is soon Christmas" or what? I cannot afford this beautiful dress, but it differently makes me wanna find a similar one. Mary's new creation has been found at Beulah London. I learned about her new dress from Heaven. Every time I look at it, I see new details. Just look at the neckline. The sleeves. The length and the buttons at front. Somehow I was sure she was going to wear something reused, but obviously I was wrong.

At first I thought she was wearing her burgundy velvet pumps, but a close look made me change my mind. These are her suede studded pumps from Gianvito Rossi. This is the fourth time Mary is flashing these pumps. We first saw them in 2018 when the French Presidentail Couple visited Copenhagen, here. Then a year later Mary wore these pumps once again with a black suit the the Cancer Society's Honorary Award 2019, here. And then again a couple of week later at a memorial concert for the lose of Prince Henrik, here.

She embraced the style with an old monogram clutch from Louis Vuitton. It it more than 10 years old. Since then we have seen the little black clutch at six different events. Most of them evening events. Also the diamond Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen earrings have been worn before and are custom-made. The ring on her right hand is also a reuse worn numerous times. Healthcare Denmark's Ambassador Summit 2019

It was a proud and honored patron of Healthcare DENMARK, who arrived to the Ambassador Summit 2019. The Crown Princess was in a splendid mood when she arrived. She was warmly welcomed by representatives from the organization. The summit took place at the Kennedy Centre in Glostrup.

Healthcare DENMARK is a non-profit-organization. They develops visit programs to foreign decision-makers and press delegations. The programs aim to show the Danish healthcare system and how its innovative solutions works.

As patron the Crown Princess entered the stage and gave a speech on the occasion of the summit. Her speech has only generated positive comments and it is fully understandable. She is strong with words She was also given a guided four around one of their laboratories. To me it seems like she was in her right element - listening, learning and sharing.

Attending the Ambassador Summit with Healthcare DENMARK, Mary was beautifully dress in one of her amazing creamy white suits. Both blazer and matching trousers are from Andiata. She has worn this suits on several occasions - both as a suit, but also the blazer on its own with dresses. The white pleated blouse is also a reuse. So far I have not been able to identify who the designer is. Do you know anything about her blouse? Other than it looks absolutely great on her. What caught my attention most about her wearing the suit, is that fact that she radiated like a white star next to all the other black suited participants of the summit. Love it.

Mary embraced the chic style with stunning pearl pendant earrings. They are from Dulong Fine Jewelry and have replaceable pendants. Mary has already worn these earrings with a lot of different pendants in a lot of lovely colors. From the same designer she also wore a multicolor golden bracelet. I also see a diamond ring, but I am not quite sure which one it is.

The simple light colored clutch in crocodile is from 1602. They proudly shared the information of her wearing their clutch on both Facebook and Instagram, here. I love the fact that she manages to find a clutch that match her outfit with such perfection. She had chosen to wear reused python pointed pumps from Gianvito Rossi. What an outfit.

Day 2. Official visit to Paris

24 June

The previous day, Crown Princess Mary arrived to Paris on an official visit announced not that long ago. Only little information have been published about the visit, but on the first day she opened an exhibition at Danmarkshuset. The exhibition was created by artist, Jesper Christensen who also made the new altarpiece in the Frederik's Church, here.

On Monday, she then payed a visit to the Museé Jacquemart-André in the French capital, where Crown Princess Mary saw the exhibition 'Hammershøi, the master of Danish painting'. The exhibition shows art-pieces by the Danish artist, Vilhelm Hammershøi. It is part of the Ministry of Culture's culture investment entitled 'Denmark-France 2018-2020'. The Crown Princess was in a splendid mood at the arrival. Parts of her visiting Museé Jacquemart-André, was also to give her a guided tour around the exhibition.

Later the Crown Princess was welcomed by First Lady Brigitte Macron, when arriving to Centre Pompidou - a house of culture and a famous construction named after a former French President, Georges Pompidou. The Danish Royal House shared that Crown Princess Mary and First Lady Brigitte Macron visited the exhibition 'Sonja Ferlov Mancoba' exhibited at Centre Pompidou.

On the second day, Crown Princess Mary also attended a healthcare conference in Danmarkshuset. Michael Starbæk Christensen, Danish Ambassador in France welcomed the Crown Princess when she arrived. She wasn't all alone attending the conference. More than a hundred representatives from both the Danish- and French healthcare system participated. The conference focuses on the transformation of the Danish healthcare system and how French healthcare system could learn from that. Especially digitalization was center of attention.

She ended her visit in Paris with a visit to the Palais de l'Élysée, which is the residence of the French Presidential Couple. The reason for her visit was that First Lady Brigitte Macron had invited her for lunch.

The Crown Princess was spotted, here, when still being in Paris. I am not exactly sure on what occasion it was taken, but my guess is before leaving Paris.

I had mixed emotion about what she wore on the first day. The new pink floral dress was really girly, but beautiful. Her evening outfit was spot on. I was happy to see her second day look. Mary wore a brand new midi length dress featuring what's called a windowpane paid. Trying to identify where this new dress is from, I had Danish design in mind. I was right. From Heaven I learned that Mary's wonderful white dress is from Danish designer Morten Ussing. Possibly the first time we see her wear that designers creations. Do you like it? I do. Love the silhouette, wavy sleeves and v-shaped neckline.

She embraced the style with white pearl earrings that goes way back in time. Don't know exactly when she first wore them, but it has to be at least 10 years ago. Dulong Fine Jewelry created them, as four of her five worn bracelets. Love when she wears so many bracelets. Looks just great. I also see her golden Cartier bangle and a Dulong Fine Jewelry diamond ring. Seems like Mary loves to flash that stunning diamond ring lately. And it is indeed magnificent.

She also accessorized her outfit with a small blue belt, matching pointed pumps from Gianvito Rossi and a new clutch. Kate shared with me that is comes from 1602. Also a new designer for Mary to wear.
