On December 1st 2022, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine made a Christmas decoration to their grandmother Queen Margrethe. The sweet moment was captured on video and shared as part of the royal family's Christmas calendar. Repremiere of "The Nutcracker"

30 November 2024

Most of her family were gathered in Tivoli to the premiere of the ballet performance "The Nutcracker", when Queen Margrethe attended the premiere as guest of honor. The Queen has created the performance's set and acted as costume designer.

King Frederik and Queen Mary attended the repremiere along with Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephines. Crown Prince Christian has not yet arrived home from East Africa.

Count Felix, Princess Benedikte, Queen Anne-Marie, even Queen Sonja of Norway showed up at the performance.

Mary looked like a movie star at tonights premiere in Tivoli! That Saloni dress is simply gorgeous. Especially paired with the magical white JOSEPH coat. I know you are "suppose" wear a different length coat with a maxi dress, but I kinda like these lengths. Think it looks nice.

She accessorized the dreamy outfit with splendid golden diamond earrings from Rebekka Notkin and a matching ring. Mary also wore a second ring but I have not (yet) been able to identify it. Any ideas? A really classy piece.

Love that she matched her Saloni dress with bordeaux Aquazzura heeled boots. Gives a little spark to the super elegant outfit. I also spotted one of her old checkered box clutches. Likely, it is from Prada but I have never been able to confirm it.

'AFTRYK' event with the Mary Foundation

29 November 2024

Queen Mary arrived at Vandværket in Copenhagen to attend 'AFTRYK' - an event created by the Mary Foundation in collaboration with the William Demant Foundation.

'AFTRYK' encourage young people to share their voice and ideas about specific topics that have an impact on their everyday lives and ultimately how they feel. This year, the event is all about transitions.

The Queen participated a panel debate about the transitions from primary school to secondary education. She also discussed five specific initiatives on how to create safer communities and better well-being in the transition to youth education with members of the Mary Foundation's Youth Panel and other stakeholders.

I had to look twice to decide what I think about Mary's outfit from the 'AFTRYK'-event. At first I thought it looked a bit clumsy. Too "baggy", but eventually I have come to like her grey JOSEPH suit. She has worn the trousers a couple of times before in London in 2022 and at a premiere in Tivoli in 2022. Mary styled the suit with a blue and white pinstriped button-down shirt. Cool and classy.

She embraced the style by wearing a chic Balenciaga belt, suede grey ankle boots and a beloved blue leather bag from Prada. I am still a bit troubled about the shoes. To me they look like Gianvito Rossi but I need more photos to tell for sure and what model she was wearing.

A closer look revealed that Mary also wore her stunning Louise Grønlykke earrings and a couple of Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen diamond rings. And of course, her Gucci glasses. The soft curls made a great match with the edgy suit.
