Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Sunday, November 29th

Crown Princess Mary attended the Christmas tree lighting ceremony held at Copenhagen City Hall Square.
Frederiketmary.centerblog.net

Crown Princess Mary was invited to attend this celebration because this year is the 100th anniversary of a Christmas tree standing at the exact same spot at Copenhagen City Hall Square. Christmas is really all about traditions and the Christmas tree lighting ceremony has been a tradition since 2014 -with excepting twice during the second world war. The Crown Princess arrived to Copenhagen City Hall Square accompanied by Copenhagen's Mayor Frank Jensen. Despite the bad weather, hundreds of Danes showed up and seemed to enjoy the tradition such as the Crown Princess did. After a warm welcoming and a laud countdown she pushed the button and the tree lit up. It was also then covered with fake snow delivered by Santa himself. With a few pictures, lots of smiles and a "Merry Christmas" the Crown Princess enjoyed the evening and took plenty of time meeting the attending Danes.

The weather was really not that good -cold and windy. What we would call 'autumn' in Denmark. We even got a rather powerful storm in the evening. We could have lived without. Nevertheless, it gave Mary the opportunity to wear some of her pieces from her winter wardrobe. She kept herself warm in a bright red Diane von Fursteberg coat, first seen a couple of years ago, here, a grey turtleneck and black trousers. Maybe a pair of fitted trousers would have been better? I really can't decide. What do you think? Wide or tight? I completely fell in love with her hairstyle. Big and voluminous. Makes a great accessory just as the black heeled ankle boots from Gianvito Rossi and Hartmann's diamond earrings. A lovely inspiration for your own winter-look. Especially why you should consider a bright red winter coat instead of black or grey. Red looks magnificent no matter what you style is.

DR Ultra Gala -It's Nice to be Nice

Friday, November 27th

Crown Princess Mary attended the DR Ultra Gala concert 'It's Nice to be Nice' with the Mary Foundation in Sønderborg.

Jv.dk

The red carpet was changed in favor of a yellow one on occasion of It's Nice to be Nice. The yellow colour is associated with Dr Ultra which is children's channel made by DR, who hosted the concert. From the second the Crown Princess arrived to Skansehallen in Sønderborg, she was welcomed by so many kids taken pictures of her with their phones. Everyone would like to get a glimpse of the future Queen. As represent of the Mary Foundation and the guest of honor Crown Princes Mary attended the premiere of the Ultra Gala show which also was the beginning of a Denmark tour. This year the show focuses on how to prevent and handle solitude among children in the age of 7-12. The Crown Princess also attended because she was given very special friendship award It's Nice to be Nice. All because she is the most nice princess. It was handed over by the siblings Dikte and Malte and it was received with great honor. During a break she told the press that she really liked the show and its message to be a good and helpful friend. After the show it was time to write in the big solitude-book. An over dimensionel book where the children wrote their own personal advises on how to handle to solitude and of course the Crown Princess did the same. Her advise was: "REMEMBER that you are worth something -believe in yourself".

Despite the fact that Mary was all dressed in black, it was an fashionable and edgy outfit. Just named the nicest princess of them all, she rocked in a black suit. Of course this is not the first time we see her wear a suit. I remember a white, red and grey one as well. This simple suit she upgraded to the most stylish I have ever seen. She matched it with a sensual and classy black lace blouse. The perfect way to make your suit much more feminine. This one I found at Heartmade by Julie Fagerholt (Winter/Holiday 2015). Personally, I love wearing lace and I can't wait to find a similar blouse and wear it like Mary just did at the evening evening in Sønderborg. She matched her black suede metal cap-toe pumps from Gianvito Rossi with the suit, last worn at the premiere of You do not say no to Asger Jorn in 2014, here. One other thing I noticed was her hairstyle. Some time since we have seen an everyday hairstyle so elegant. Last year her hair was like this all the time. I kinda missed these updo's because I find them very inspiring how to do my own hair. Even though it look hard, it's quite easy. Take a look online for more inspiration and tutorials. She accessorized her "gala" outfit with round diamond earrings from Hartmann's and what looks like a silver ring featuring a green stone. Left we have the little shiny clutch from Carlend Copenhagen looking nice with the rest of the outfit and her burgundy nail polish. I hope I some day will get the chance to wear an outfit like this. In my opinion, this outfit is one of the best we have seen for a while.

At the beginning of this week the Crown Princess hosted a Christmas reception with the Mary Foundation and their partners, which has become a really nice tradition. This event gives the opportunity to thank everybody who have been involved or have supported the foundation's work the past year and to wish everybody a merry Christmas. Representative were all invited to glögg and æbleskiver. Probably you have heard about both these thing, if you haven't don't worry I will tell you more about it. Glögg or glühwein (German) goes back to Germany. It's a very traditional hot drink made of among others red wine, snaps, brown rom, madeira, oranges, lemon, cinnamon, star anise etc. Æbleskiver is from Denmark and I'm not sure it gives an English translation. Translated it's 'apples in slices'. Danes love them and is the epitome of Christmas. Primarily they are made of pancake batter. Back in time it was slices of apples, which were then fried. Today 'Æbleskriver' are pan fried in a round shape and them they are eaten with either/or both jam or icing sugar.

The Crown Princess welcomed her invited guests at Frederik VIII's Palace around 3:00 pm. From the beginning the atmosphere was great. Everyone were in a good mood in the room. I'm sure they had all had a great time. One of the guests, who had traveled all the way from Chicago to attend the reception, was Professor and Ph.D. John T. Cacioppo. He is a member of the the Mary Foundation's expert panel working with loneliness. At the reception, representatives as the Lauritzen Betina Ipsen who support the Netwerk project, Marketing Manager of DHL Express Susanne Kristensen works with the Free of Bullying's Children relay project and project manager in TrygFonden Christoffer Elbrønd and communications officer in DBU Mikkel Minor Jensen important project partners in Klubfidusen attended.

First, I thought she was wearing a black dress, which was the only thing I did not expect. Suddenly I flipped my computer screen by an accident and I realized that it wasn't black but green -her dark green suede dress from Prada. It is differently not the first time we see this dress, but I took my quite a while to identify it even though it's from one of her favourite designers. Very appropriate of her to wear a dress in this colour. Perfect to celebrate Christmas and her co-workers. She even matched the wallpapers. Maybe I'm the only one who noticed this little detail about the wallpapers. I remember at least three times she was worn the dress. All three with great success. In 2013 when she and Frederik ,along with the rest of the family, attended a dinner at Hotel Admiral with the President and his wife of Slovakia, here, then again at Prince Nicolai's confirmation in the evening, here, and then last in 2014 when she attended the Ultra Gala show, here. With that one picture published where we see her feet, I think I know what pair of shoes she was wearing. A pair of beige Prada pumps, last seen on October 8th 2015 when Mary attended the Free of Bullying seminar, here. What do you think? Am I right about the shoes? Beige pumps would be a great choice. Of course you all noticed her new silver bracelet featuring green stones. Mary has several times worn bracelets like this, but I have never been able to identify the designer -if it's even the same one. I also see a pair of earrings, though I can't decide which pair she's wearing. And then that red/burgundy nail polish.

The French Embassy's Prize for Human Rights 2015

Tuesday, November 24th

Crown Princess Mary attended the presentation of the French Embassy's Prize for Human Rights 2015 as patron of the Maternity Foundation taking place at the French Embassy in Denmark.

Princessesblog76.blogspot.com

The Crown Princess attended this event only two and a half hours after the tennis event in KB-Hallen in Frederiksberg, here. Then in the afternoon she visited the French Embassy in Denmark to hand over the French Embassy's Prize for Human Rights 2015, which was  given to the Maternity Foundation. The foundation works to reduce maternal and newborn mortality in developing countries and has has the Crown Princess as their patron since 2010. When the Crown Princess arrived to the French Embassy at Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen the weather was terrible -rainy and windy. Despite the bad weather she took time to place a large bouquet of white lilies, next to all the other flowers, in front of the French embassy in memory of the victims of the terror attack on November 13th. Crown Prince Frederik and Princess Marie attended a ceremony a few days after the attack, but the Crown Princess was in Senegal at the time. Her gesture was noticed also noticed by the French Ambassador in Denmark and former Ambassador for Human Rights. So why white lilies? They are symbolized with both sorrow, sadness, grief and heavenly purity, life and beauty. Without a single

From one bouquet to another. Before the presentation began she was given a bunch of flowers from a little flower-boy. Accompanied by the French ambassador François Zimeray, Mary attend the presentation of the Prize for Human Rights 2015, which was handed over to the Maternity Foundation. At this, both happy and honorable day, Mary was dressed beautifully in black. Nothing new, but Mary wear her clothes as if it was the first time -every time. The black dress features a sequin belt and is from Prada. Last time we saw is was in 2014 when she attended the Ordrupgaard exhibition in Charlottenlund, here. At the time she also wore a red nail polish. I always loved the dress with its sense of a 50s dress. A few years ago I bought a very similar vintage dress that was in a really bad condition, but I had to have it. Today it is one of my personal favourite dresses and when Mary wore her Prada dress the first time I was thrilled. This time I kinda missed the Gianvito Rossi shoes because they were a really great match. At yesterdays presentation she chose another pair of Gianvito Rossi pumps in black and a matching Carlend Copenhagen clutch. She was also wearing her golden Orit Elhanati necklace. When she arrived to the French Embassy she wore some kind of black woolen coat and because of the wind, we had a glimpse of her reused diamond earrings. A little bit of everyday glamour.

The Child Welfare Day 2015

Tuesday, November 24th

Crown Princess Mary attended as patron of the Child Welfare Day and eboks' tennis event along with Danish tennis player Caroline Woznoacki in KB-Hallen, Frederiksberg.

For several years the Crown Princess has been patron of the Child Welfare Day, which aims to encourage children and young people in care to became the best version of themselves by committing them in specially developed activities and projects. On Tuesday, 22 of these children who are living in institutions or with foster families, were chosen to participate in a very special three-hour sports event in the KB-Hall in Frederiksberg, Copenhagen. The event was organized by the Child Welfare Day and eboks. It was a little more special than usually because the Crown Princess and the famous Danish tennis player Caroline Woznoacki attended. Also the Children's Aid Director, Ina Thorndahl, and the e-Boks' CEO, Henrik Andersen attended yesterdays sports event. Shortly after the arrival the Crown Princess changed to another pair of shoes and played a double with Caroline and the two friends Tobias and Nicolaj. The children were clearly overwhelmed to get the change to both meet and play with Caroline who is a world famous tennis player and the future Queen of Denmark. Both the Crown Princess and Caroline were in a excellent mood during the day and by no doubt gave all the kids a wonderful day to remember.

I truly understand why Mary chose this outfit. It is cold outside and the weather is changing all the time. A few days ago we got snow and now the sun is shining despite the cold. Mary has chosen darker colours, knitwear and a cosy scarf. I've always admired her way of wearing trousers. She wear any kind of trousers with great perfection. At the tennis event she wore simple navy blue trousers that perfectly matched her knitted jumper from JOSEPH featuring a white blouse underneath. We saw the knitwear back in August when the family were on vacation in Gråsten. Afterwards, I got lucky and identified it.

Both the jumper and slim trousers looked good with the grey Naledi Copenhagen scarf, seen at a few others occasions. Among others, when Kofi Annan was visiting Denmark back in 2013, here. Something else we have seen before are her grey Gianvito Rossi ankle boots. Talking about boots. Makes me want to mention a little trick Mary often use. Wearing sheer stocking in the same colour as your shoes and/or trousers. Socks are just boring to look at but this way it look stylish and smashing at the same time.

Arriving she was wearing a coat, which I haven't been able to identify yet, but I am pretty sure it is the same as worn on September 15th when she attended the Advise for Life 2015, here. Yet, another thing I have to mention (if you haven't already seen it) is her new dark green Annikat ring and the fact that she's wearing burgundy nail polish. When it comes to jewellery, she also embrace the style by wearing round earrings from Jewlscph.

As name of the location implies (House of Music) the Crown Princess spend an evening with lots of music when she attended TV2's grand Christmas Show in Aalborg. With white walls and red chairs, the House of Music is the perfect location for a christmas show. Along with Aalborg Symphony Orchestra and artist like Martin Brygmann, Kaya Brüll and Barbara Moleko, which all were dressed their best in evening suits and dresses, the Crown Princess attended the perfect evening celebration of christmas and of course she was the guest of honor. The two hosts are news hosts on TV2. Cecilie Frøkjær and Hans Pilgaard. They are both well-known faces in Denmark for different entertainment programs. I'm sure with these two hosts it was a wonderful evening. As far as I know the show was not broadcasted live, but as previous years it's broadcasted some day in December. Unfortunately, it has not yet ben published when it will be broadcasted. As if she was the star of the show, the Crown Princess arrived in the best mood to the House of Music in Aalborg around half past eight to attend the great christmas show. Perfectly matching the carpet and chairs in the big hall, she shone in her red dress. As the guest of honor and Crown Princess, she was given one of the best seats on the balcony next to the Mayor of Aalborg Thomas Kastrup Larsen and Cristen Obel from Det Obelske Familie Fond to watch the entertaining christmas show.

As I mentioned before, Mary was dressed beautifully bright red dress worn once before at a christmas reception with the Mary Foundation last year, here. You remember we have seen it before? The dazzling fitted red dress is from Dolce & Gabbana. I know it's a red dress and a million others look exactly like this. But look at it; it looks like it was painted on her. A perfect fit. At the arrival she wore her black Prada coat, seen close to a million times before. A little detail, which I might be the only one to notice, is the different length of coat and dress. This was the most perfect combination in the 50s. A long fitted dress or skirt with a rather large, shorter coat. Hair and makeup were absolutely flawless as always. As last year, the dress gave us the opportunity to focus on the expensive accessories.Mary know how to chose accessories and to chose a bright pink Carlend Copenhagen clutch is really clever of her. Make the dress shine even more in the lights of the photographers, despite the fact that there are no such details as sequins on neither the dress or clutch. Looking at her shoes, makes me stare.  New black T-strap shoes from Gianvito Rossi. Kate is the one who identified her new pumps. Am I the only one who adore her black and red evening outfit?

Visiting Senegal

Wednesday, November 11th

Crown Princess Mary visited Senegal with the two organizations Orchid Project and Tostan for her to get a better understanding and work with the Community Empowerment Program focusing on girls and women's rights. On November 15th Crown Princess Mary witnessed a ceremony to abandon female genital cutting. The Crown Princess stayed in Senegal from November 11-15th.

It does now some as a surprise that the Crown Princess is visiting Senegal, all to show her sincere support to combat female genital mutilation. For several year the Crown Princess has been committed to help both girls and women everywhere in the world. I found this phrase from an article on orchidproject.org, here, saying: "HRH Crown Princess Mary is a strong voice on the issue of women's rights and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights around the world." Spot on. Not that long ago she also attended the Global Network of Women's Shelters' Conference in the Netherlands where she was accompanied by Queen Máxima. Her appearance is once again to show her support. She attended the conference in the Netherlands, because of her membership of the High Level Task Force for ICPD, as patron of the WHO Regional Office for Europe and chairman of the Mary Foundation. Also as patron of the UNFPA, the Crown Princess is perfect to visit Senegal. This visit was a bit more private than usually. It means that we just heard about her visit when she arrived back in Denmark. Actually the articles I have been able to found is only about her last day. But maybe it is also the most important one because the Crown Princess witnessed an sensational ceremony to abandon female genital cutting.

Over fifty communities, a 1,000 people, were gathered in the Kaolack region of Senegal to declare the end of a centuries old practice the female genital cutting. Along with representatives from among other UNICEF, UNFPA and local representatives from the Government the Crown Princess witnessed the declaration. Something a lot of people around the world have worked for in many years. To celebration the declaration included formal speeches as well as traditional music and dance. This is truly a day to remember. At the same time the communities take part in a human rights education program run by the local NGO Tostan. Their Community Empowerment Program will enable them to hold the conversation about human rights and what it really means to them. With the help from the Orchid Project the community members to take the discussions about human rights and spread them to the neighboring villages. Over 7,300 communities have already declared abandonment in The Gambia, Senegal, Mauritania, Mali, Guinea and Guinea-Bissau.

On her last day, after five days, Mary attended the ceremony dressed casual in her white Zara lace blouse and a navy blue maxi skirt from By Malene Birger worn this summer at Gråsten, here. Accessorized with jewellery I think are gifts, she celebrated a day to remember in Senegal. She also appear wearing a bright pink dress, which I think is some kind of traditional suit.

Concert at Fredensborg palace

Tuesday, November 10th

Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik hosted a concert in the church of Fredensborg Palace, followed by a souper in Fredensborg palace Dome Hall for the tourism industry in Denmark. Crown Princess Mary and Princess Marie also attend the concert.

Only lightened up by the car lights and lights from the windows of Fredensborg palace, all guest arrived on Tuesday to attend a concert hosted by Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik. One by one, the royal guest arrive to Fredensborg palace in Copenhagen from 7:00 pm. -first Princess Marie, than Crown Princess Mary and Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik as the last two to arrive. It was more of a 'girls-night-out' because the Princess and Crown Princess attended on their own without their husbands. The concert took place in the church of Fredensborg Palace. The music was performed by Christian IX' ensemble and singers from Sønderjysk Choir. Throughout the years, the Queen and Prince have hosted many concerts and dinners to honor different groups of the Danish society. Now it was time for the Queen and Prince to honor the tourism industry, because of their hard work with the over 20 million foreign visitors who annually visit Denmark. The four royal family members had each their own red velvet chair to sit on during the concert. Around 8 o'clock, an hour after everyone arrived, the guests as well as the royal family members went to the Dome Hall to attend the following souper (french for 'a late evening dinner') where a lovely dinner were served -fish, lobster, pumpkin pie, apple fromage and lots of other delicious things. The Dome Hall were beautifully decorated with round tables, golden chairs, emerald glasses, silver plates and pink/red flowers. They really know how to decorate a room for a royal dinner. At the time when all the guests arrived to the Dome Hall, the entree were already served.

Matching the night's theme, both Mary and Marie were dressed in black, red and pink. I kinda like that Marie wore a skirt and a blouse, which was in a really great bright colour but I do not understand in a million year what is going on with that skirt? It is some kind of ruffles or...? Like her mother-in-law, Mary wore a really elegant new black lace dress. It features long sleeves and a round neckline. The more I look at the dress; I have the feeling that I might have seen a style like this before. The way the dress is made all with the lace part. Now when I know the dress is from Prada I understand why I had seen the style before. One of Mary's favourite designers to wear. I was looking for something else and found this evenings dress worn by Isabella Ferrari at the Women's Tales Dinner during the 72nd Vernice Film Festival, here. Knee-length dresses has always been her favourite and the length also suit her perfectly. It looks appropriate and elegant at the same time. Very feminine for her age and status. As Queen of the night, Mary looked like a movie star wearing a bright red lipstick and black eyeshadow. The curly hair reminds me so much of the 40s wavy hair which just gave me the chance to share a real vintage photo with you of the graceful actress Veronica Lake, here. The most classy outfit for women to wear at any evening event is, by no doubt, the combo of black and red. Mary accessorized her evening outfit with her diamond earrings from Marianne Dulong, a black clutch and black patent pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

Gala dinner at Christiansborg palace

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary hosted a gala dinner at Christiansborg palace in Copenhagen on the occasion of the Trilateral Commission meeting.

On Saturday the 7th of November, the Crown Prince couple hosted a gala dinner on occasion of the Trilateral Commission meeting at the end of a three-day conference, which took place at Danish Industry for the commission's European members. The dinner was held at Christiansborg palace in the hall with the characteristic black and white floors and colourful tapestry. I don't know if you keep an eye on their calendar, but this dinner is really something I have been looking forward to in a very long time. Therefor it has been terrible to wait days for pictures from the event, but we finally got some. And it was differently worth waiting for. During the three-day conference, Crown Prince Frederik gave a speech and got the chance to talk with some of the members on the meeting's different topics -like how to improve cooperation politically and economically between various regions of the world.
From the outside Christiansborg palace does not look that special at all, which of course is just my opinion, but the second you enter the first room you immediately see how magnificent it is. Every room is beautifully decorated with huge chandeliers hanging from the ceiling in every room. You see old paintings everywhere along with the most overwhelmingly furnitures. It is differently worth a visit. You are led from one room to another and every room gets more fantastic than the previous. In the middle you find the Great Hall or Riddersalen in Danish. The chandeliers are even bigger, the floor is like a huge chessboard and everywhere you look these colourful tapestries are hanging on the walls. The Great Hall has been used for numerous royal dinners, birthdays as well as state visits. You get mesmerized by entering the room. The unique tapestries are made by the sculptor Bjørn Nørgaard and they were a gift to the Queen in 1990 when she celebrated her 50th birthday. The 17 tapestries tell the 1000 year history of Denmark. Ten years later, in 2000, the tapestries were done and placed in the Great Hall on occasion of the Queen's 60th birthday. The Great Hall measures 40 meters long and 10 meters high, here.

Why do I adore Mary so much? Because she unexpectedly shows up in a golden jacquard fitted dress wearing matching pumps. That's why. It was so much worth waiting for to get a glimpse of her attending the gala dinner. I really think every royalist turned their heads and looked just one more time to see how dazzling Mary was. How was your first reaction when you saw her in the golden wonder? Mary looks good in almost everything from trousers to dresses, but she also chooses her clothes with great care. Most women would look like a disco ball wearing such a dress, but not Mary. I expressed to you who much I really wanted to identify this new golden evening dress and with the precious help from Heaven and Kate, the dress has now been found. The golden wonder is from Prada.  She paired it with her golden glitter pumps from Gianvito Rossi to make the outfit look even more stunning. Among others, she has worn them at the INDEX: Award 2015 in Helsingør, here and at the Reumert Award 2015, here. She matched everything beautifully with Cenius & Bach earrings and a golden diamond bracelet -which I still do not know designed. I also spotted her wearing the box clutch from Judith Leiber. The perfect clutch to the most amazing evening outfit.

Book Forum in Copenhagen

Saturday, November 7th

Crown Princess Mary payed a visit to the Book Forum at Book Fair in the Bella Center in Copenhagen. Princess Isabella, Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine also attending the fair.

Unexpectedly, Crown Princess Mary and three of her four children show up at the annual Book Forum in the Bella Center in Copenhagen to attend the launch of former model Carina Axelsson's new book Model Under Cover, here. Carina is also engaged to Crown Prince Frederik's cousin Prince Gustav of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, who is the son of Princess Benedikte. Accompanied with actress Ellen Hillingsø, who is also a close friend of Mary's, Carina Axelsson talked about her new book. The three royal members were sitting in front raw during Carina's interview. The atmosphere was great and I think all of them really enjoyed the afternoon together. Especially Prince Vincent seemed to have had a wonderful day. He had much fun with her sister's hairband, which by the way, reminds me of a piece worn by their mother in 2007, here. Maybe Princess Josephine borrowed or inherited her mother's hairband? Just consider the thought for a moment; the Crown Princess of Denmark as your mother with her wardrobe? Pia was among the audience when Carina Axelsson's was interviewed and she took a few pictures, which she has given me permission to share with all of you.

Mary was dressed in an edgy and very modern-kinda-look. And at the same time relaxed and casual at the Book Forum event on Saturday. Almost only in black (blouse, trousers, bag, shoes) she showed that even though she was attending a private event, on a Saturday, with her children, she still looks her very best. Differently something I would wear this time a year in Denmark. So, if you are every going to visit Denmark during November, wear something similar to this. Mary was in a long-sleeved blouse and black jeans. Kate identified her new black ankle boots featuring golden rivets. She found them at Julie Fagerholt Heartmade (AW15). Do you like them? Not shoes she is use to wear. Another piece that surprised me, is the checkered coat, which I would really like to identify. But so far, I haven't got a clue where to find it. Do you happen to know anything? It reminds we of a design from either Julie Fagerholt Heartmade or maybe DAY Birger et Mikkelsen. Finally, she carried a new black leather bag featuring braided straps. It has now been identified by Kate as Dolce & Gabbana

Opening of the Nordic Psychiatry Summit

Friday, November 6th

Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of the Health- and elderly Ministry's Nordic Psychiatry Summit in Nordhavn, Copenhagen.

The Crown Princess almost just arrived from at two days visit from the Netherlands, where she attended the 3rd World Conference of Women's Shelters' along with Queen Máxima. On Thursday she was back in Denmark again. Yesterday morning the Crown Princess arrived to Nordhavn to attend the opening of the Nordic Psychiatry SummitShe arrived, with her lady-in-waiting, in a great mood looking her very best despite the bad weather. The Nordic Psychiatry Summit on Mental Health is on initiative by the Danish presidency who also hosted the summit. Representatives from Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, Norway and Finland were gathered at the summit in Nordhavn. Both researchers, specialists, experts, relatives, politicians, ministers and users were invited to discuss how to improve the conditions for people with mental disorders and get more people to understand what it really means to have a mental disorder. In her speech, the Crown Princess payed attention to the fact that having a mental disorder is not something to be ashamed of or something you need to hide from others. Even though you can't see a mental disorder it's still there. She made the assembly aware that conversations can help to get more people to understand what these people live with or is bystander to. Former Danish Prime Minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen, health- and elderly Minister Sophie Løhde, social- and Interior Minister Karen Ellemann were all present at the opening sitting in the front row. Poul Nyrup Rasmussen commented on her speech by saying that the Crown Princess takes the topic to a whole new level. She speaks from her heart and makes it clear that every single individual are important and no one can be forgotten.

Despite the fact not that many pictures have been published of her from the opening of the Nordic Psychiatry Summit, I still think I have an ID on everything she's wearing. Classy as always, Mary wore some old goodies most royalists loved at the time. Actually, we have seen three of the items in the same outfit last year at a launch with the State of World Population, here. I'm sure we all have certain piece of clothes or accessories we clearly remember she has worn and this textured striped a-line skirt from Chloé (Pre AW 2014) is differently one of the things I clearly remember. At the time she chose a brand new wool/cashmere blend cape featuring leather details on the shoulder, which she also wore at the opening. The cape was found at JOSEPH. Cape and skirt works perfectly together.  I think most women would like to wear this as beautifully as Mary. Instead of a black turtleneck she wore her white Elise Gug blouse featuring long sleeves and a white pearl as button. To me both the turtleneck and white Gug blouse works very well with the skirt. When do you think she wore it better -2014 or 2015? I am a bit troubled identifying her pumps. Think they could be from SAND Copenhagen and not Gianvito Rossi as others have suggested. What I do know is that her black clutch is from Carlend Copenhagen. Then we got pearly white earrings and my suggestion are these, which now got a pendant attached, here. Do you see the same as I do?

On wednesday 4th the Crown Princess arrived by plane to the Netherlands where she was welcomed by Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. Along with Queen Máxima, the two royal women attended the Global Network of Women's Shelters' Conference in The Hague. As I told you yesterday, the conference deals with any aspects of finding the solutions to combat violence against women all over the world. The Crown Princess has for several years worked hard to give girls and women a better life without violence. Because of her commitment, she has become member of the International Panel ICPD's High Level Task Force and as patron of the UN Population Fund and the Maternity Worldwide. Not to forget, she is the chairman of the Mary Foundation working in areas such as domestic violence against women, where there were be two workshops. This is among others why she takes part in the conference. She participated in several panel discussions, workshops and activities accompanied by Queen Máxima, but also on her own representing not all these organizations but also the small country Denmark. A couple of hours before she attended one more panel discussion at the World Forum, she paid a visit to the highly secured International Criminal Courts new buildings in The Hague which are designed by the Danish architectural firm schmidt hammer lassen. The new buildings will be put at the disposal of the staff around the turn of the year after which it will be the court for various war crimes. She also met some Danish companies working with design, architecture and construction represented in the Netherlands. She arrived to the new court buildings in great spirit despite the fact she for two busy days had tried to help world's women who have been exposed to violence, physically and mentally.

After her visit at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, the Crown Princess went back World Forum and for one more day, she participated in panel discussions. As Queen of the Netherlands Máxima led the first day of the conference and gave a very fine speech at the opening. Her speech is 10 minutes, here. On the 5th the Crown Princess acted as keynote speaker and for more than 20 minutes, twice as long as Máxima, she beautifully spoke, in her native language english, about why they all were gathered, her future hopes for the project and why it's so important to share knowledge and experiences to try to prevent violence again girls and women all over the world, here. I haven't had the time to watch the whole speech, but from what I've heard she is really committed and honored to be a part of such an important work. I have never been that interested in speeches as I have recently. She is a natural speaker and her words come easily.

Even after so many years following Mary I still have a hard time to tell why I love her style so much. She can wear the most funny printed piece of clothes and still look absolutely great. I think it is because of her personality -that special glow. This time she donned in a grey figure hugging dress in tweed. Differently new. I just received a link to an article about the new 007 James Bond movie, here. This has really nothing to do with Mary's attendance in the Netherlands, but actress Léa Seydoux wears the exact same dress. Everything Léa has worn in connection with this new movie are from by Prada and Miu Miu. Heaven is the one who found Mary's new tweed dream at Prada. The style of the dress reminded me of several different designers, but so far non of them have been the one I'm looking for. Tweed is the perfect fabric to wear at autumn. Everything from clothes to hair and makeup looks splendid. As the day before she wore her diamond earrings from Hartmann's and the silver Cartier watch. The black pearl bracelet is from Marianne DulongAs with the dress, the nude handbag is from Prada. If it is even possible to love anything more than her new dress, it's her powder pink t-strap Pura Lopez (fall-winter 2015/16) pumps. I know they will never be mine, but I'm allowed to dream right? These goes back to when she an event in the Danish Parliament wearing her silk dress from YDE Copenhagen, here. At that time I got obsessed trying to identify them. I searched for hours, I even contacted multiple designers to find out where her powder pumps were from. In the end I contacted Pura Lopez and we got a winner.

Crown Princess Mary is present at the Global Network of Women's Shelters' Conference in the Netherlands from November 4-5th. The Crown Princess is accompanied by Queen Maxima of the Netherlands.

Program: The Hague
  • 9:00 am Crown Princess Mary and Queen Maxima arrived to the World Forum in the Hague.
  • 9:00 am Attended a panel discussion on economic independence for women.
  • 10:00 am Participated in a workshop on effective social and economic reintegration for women.
  • 11:00 am Watched the film Brave Miss World.
  • 1:30 pm Attended a panel discussion on sustainable funding and defense of women.

While Crown Prince Frederik is in Africa, his wife Crown Princess Mary is in the Netherlands -not that far from home as her husband. She is in the Netherlands to attend the Global Network of Women's Shelters' Conference as chairman of the Mary Foundation, as a member of the International Panel ICPD's High Level Task Force and as patron of the UN Population Fund and the Maternity Worldwide. Involved in all this and much more, the Danish Crown Princess has to be the perfect person to represent Denmark along with the several organizations at the conference. The Women's Shelters' Conference aim to create knowledge and share experiences across cultures and nationalities, all to find a solution on how to stop violence against women in countries all over the world. Back in 2012, she attended the conference in Washington -the 2nd World Conference of Women's Shelters.

At 9:00 pm. local time, the Crown Princess arrived to the World Forum in the Hague accompanied by Queen Maxima of the Netherlands. The Queen welcomed Denmark's future queen at the airport when she arrived earlier that morning and both women were in splendid mood. Just a week ago Queen Máxima and her husband Kind Wilhelm-Alexander visited China. The visit ended before it was planned because Maxima had a kidney infection that she was treated for back home. This week she also had to cancel some of her appointments. Despite the infection she chose to stand by the Danish Crown Princess on Wednesday and as planned, took her part in the Women's Shelters' Conference. Both Mary and Queen Maxima have, for several years, been involved in work to combat violence against women.

At the opening Queen Maxima gave her speech and on November 5th the Danish Crown Princess is keynote speaker. Around an hour later, the Crown Princess was on her own again and attended several different activities and workshops related to the complex problems including empowerment of abused women, international cooperation in the field and opportunities to influence the international agenda. Afterwards she watch a part of the film Brave Miss World about the Israeli Linor Arbargil who in 1998, a few weeks before she became Miss World, she was raped. The Crown Princess also took part in the discussion followed after Linor's lecture. She also payed a visit to the women shelter Rosa Manus where she met children and women; talked to women and played with the children.

As I have mentioned once or twice before the weather has changed in Denmark. The leaves have fallen of the trees and the ones that are left have the most wonderful orange and red colours, it's colder and rainy all the time. A typical autumn weather in Denmark. Some days ago we saw Mary wearing rubber boots, a warm jacket and gloves, which are exactly what you need these days. The dress coat was completely different arriving to the Netherlands. Bare legs and pastel coloured clothes.

It was love a first sight for me. I'm got obsessed with her outfit and had to try it out myself. Maybe we need to go back and I tell you more about what she actually wore at the conference. Mary was wearing a pink 60s inspired A-line skirt featuring large pockets at front and a matching coat in the same bobble gum pink colour. I was pretty sure both skirt and coat had to be from the same designer. Still, I didn't find a thing indication where it's from. Something I rarely do is to give up but I did this time. Suddenly, out of nowhere, I got a message on Facebook with the text of an identification and a link to where to find these two new things. At the same time I added a new brand to my list of Mary's clothes, namely AndiataAnd yes, coat and skirt are from the same designer. I learned that no one could find the skirt, but that is why you have me because within 2 seconds I found her skirt as well. Thank to Lurdes who enlightened med and making my day even better. With a black turtleneck, accessorized with a reused Prada (2012 collectionhandbag and SAND Copenhagen pumps, she completed what I would call a perfect outfit. Don't know if you noticed it but she was wearing her old Cartier watch featuring a black watchband and small diamonds. A natural brown and pink makeup gave her a feminine touch such as the round diamond earrings from Hartmann's

Crown Princess Mary visisted Naturcenter Herstedhøje in Albertslund at 12:00 pm local time to attend the inauguration of the campaign Replant the Planet. Along with 120 local school kids, plenty of photographers and journalists the Crown Princess planted the first tree in what is going to be a new forest given the name 'Princess grove'. For several year the Crown Princess has been committed to attend all kind of campaigns to help the environment, develop sustainable solutions and get people to understand that it is our common responsibility. We only have one world and we need to take care of it -one way or another. Over 15,000 school children in Denmark participates in this project, which aim to teach children how you can do something about some of the many climate change we faces. Most countries around the world are committed to develop sustainable solutions and to implicate children in the project makes it more of a natural thing for them to take better care of our and their world such as the 'few' raw materials we have left. During the day everybody was allowed to plant their own tree and within the first week of November the 15,000 children will plant over 30,000 small new tree -oaks, beeches, birches. Wearing green rubber boots on her feet and with a spade in her hand, she nicely and perfectly planted her tree as the first one to mark the opening of Replant the Planet on a cold November day. Beside planting trees the children participate in several other activities in which the Crown Princess, with great curiosity, also attended.

Beside it was very funny and special to see her in rubber boots and with a spade in her hands were she always wears a expensive clutch or bouquet, one other thing was way more special. Because she brought with her a guest, we have only see at more private events. She brought with her Ziggy. A wonderful sight. Ziggy was a wedding gift from Dansk Kennel Klub to the couple when they got married in 2004. Ziggy was born in january 2005 and the couple got her in april.

November 2nd was a rather cold day and when your day is going with planting trees in the field, you need the right clothes. She even commented on her footwear: "It was a great I chose to wear my rubber boots" and she laughed afterwards. Planting trees requires the right footwear and again similar to Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, Mary wore her Le Chameau in a dust olive green colour that perfectly matched the, to us, new quilted jacket from Barbour. This jacket was really not easy to find. First of all because I had never heard about the brand before. It was identified by Kate and finally after two days looking everywhere to find it -I finally found it. Keeping the rest of her body warm she wore a dark grey turtleneck sweater, tight jeans and greenish knitted socks. Even in knitwear and rubber boots she looks just great. Wish that was how I looked wearing something similar -that is not the case.

Rygby final: Australia vs. New Zealand

Sunday, November 1st

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary enjoyed a private evening at Twickenham, United Kingdom, to watch the rugby final between Australia and New Zealand. RYGBYdk was allow to share a photo of the couple along with the wish for a good development for Danish rugby, here.

This is really all I know about their evening but I so much wanted to share this "private" moment. Seems like Mary's favourite blouse to wear these days are the classic turtleneck which matched the beige blazer similar to her greenish Ralph Lauren blazer worn yesterday at the Hubertus hunt in Dyrehaven in Klampenborg, here. She matched it with a turtleneck sweater. If you haven't got your very own turtleneck yet, then it is about time. I've got kinda addicted. The perfect fall-purchase to your wardrobe.

The Hubertus Hunt 2015

Sunday, November 1st

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the annual Hubertus Hunt in Dyrehaven with all four children.

This is something I have been looking forward to for a really long time, because it has been four years since the Crown Princes couple and their children have attended the Hubertus hunt. So, now I think it's time for us to see them at this annual event again and we did. The family arrived old-fashioned by carriage to the castle around 10:45 am. The Crown Prince family; mom, dad and their four wonderful children watched the Hubertus Hunt from a balcony at the Eremitage castle, which by the way was resorted back in 2013. The castle is a smaller hunting castle that was used as a sanctuary where the king gathered small private hunting parties far away from the city. The castle was build in 1734-1736 by the architect Laurids de Thurah at the time of King Christian VI. So, during the hunting season the King used the castle as a resting place. Today the Eremitage castle is only used for special occasions and hunting dinners. Along with the Crown Prince couple over 40,000 people were gathered in Dyrehaven to follow the hunt. At 10:00 am the 160 riders were sent out on the 11 km long route as mentioned before passes by the Erimitage castle where the royal family watched the hunt. During the route the riders need to go through 32 obstacles among others the famous and legendary Magasindam, which is muddy water where many of the riders often drops into the pond. To get a glimpse of this many take place next to the pond. To me it seemed like the royal family enjoyed spending their sunday in the park.

I found so many pictures from the Hubertus hunt from yesterday, wonderful pictures of families in the woods dressed in warm jackets and hats. The soundings are absolutely outstanding. All the magnificent colours -leaves in orange, brown, dark green and red. This is why autumn is my favourite time a year. Even though the weather in Denmark are getting colder, I love it. Covering myself in warm clothes and woolen blankets. And I get an excuse to wear all the darker colours, bordeaux, navy blue, green matching the colours in the nature. I always loved this time a year and i really do not know why? But I adore everything about it. As I do, Mary and her family also loves fall colours and I'm so sure they enjoyed a day in their warm and comfy clothes. All four kids were wearing different shades of jeans and Christian, Isabella and their sister Josephine all wore each their down jacket from Moncler. Vincent and his father wore similar winter jackets. Actually, I was surprised Mary was the only one wearing a hat. She matched her knitted hat, which you might remember from her stunning 40th birthday pictures, here, with leather gloves featuring a hemline of fur which I kinda like. I would never ever have chosen them on my own but after Mary wore hers I would really like to buy similar gloves. I have a pair of bordeaux made of wool which are absolutely gorgeous but I wouldn't mind to have Mary's gloves as well. Nothing to hide, because I'm crazy about yesterday's November-outfit. Her outfit are so much inspired by the old-british-manor-house-style. Perfect for an event like this. In the same dusty colour, she wore a turtleneck sweater and a brand new down vest. In fact I'm not a down-jacket or down-vest fan. I think I would look silly wearing one, but Mary wear hers beautifully. A similar model has been found at Uniqlo, but there are some differences around the neckline. So, I can't tell for sure if it's the same as the one Mary is wearing. What do you say? Nevertheless, she embrace the style with her greenish Ralph Lauren (Blue Label Collection) blazer worn during a trip to Greenland in 2014, here. I think I remember something about Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, got the same one. Her amazing brown leather bag is also from Ralph Lauren. Left we have the brown riding boots. The most classy model of them all. After some hours I was able to actually find the right model from Prada as I first assumed as the designer. With a little help you now find the same model as Mary was wearing down below.
