The National Grief Centre's 25th anniversary

September 12, 2025

Queen Mary attended the 25th anniversary of the Children, Youth & Grief initiative by the National Grief Centre as guest of honor and as their patron. She was warmly welcomed at her arrived. The Queen was in a splendid mood. All smiles and heartwarming attention on her side.

The National Grief Centre offers free psychological support to bereaved families and their relatives. Especially their Children, Youth & Grief project has had the Queen's support. She had prepared a speech on the occasion. The Queen also met with some of the young people who have used the support offered by the National Grief Centre. They shared their stories with her.

How to spice a simple ultramarine suit? Just add a splash of pink accessories! I love Mary for her choice in color and accessory. Her matching set is from Max Mara. On a few previous occasion has she been seen wearing the trousers but it is the first time she wears the double-breasted blazer. It's kinda cool, right?

No doubt that I adore the pink flower brooch and reused Carlend Copenhagen clutch. Love it when she surprises us with details like these. The bespoke flower brooch is actually a removable pin worn as accessory on her hats. It is created by milliner Susanne Juul.

Mary also wore fine diamond earrings from Sophie Bille Brahe and an elegant golden necklace from Louise Grønlykke. I also see an Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen ring.

Her chic glasses are Gucci and the navy blue suede pumps are from Jimmy Choo.

Officiel disembark from Dannebrog

September 10, 2025

King Frederik and Queen Mary have spend much time on sea during the summer visiting both Frederikshavn, Thisted, Læsø and Samsø. The couple have enjoyed many wonderful hours traveling with the royal yacht on their summer tour.

Today it was time to officially disembark and Dannebrog docked in Nordre Toldbold in Copenhagen around noon. The royal couple were warmly greeted at the dock by Danes who gathered to get a glimpse of the King and Queen.

Usually I'm not a huge fan of darker colors matched with soft colors like pastel pink, white, beige, etc. Somehow I think Mary did a good job with her colors-combo at the disembark on September 10. The balance is quite nice. The stunning lace dress from Temperley London and the simple black Prada jacket. Maybe it worked because she had chosen darker colored accessories.

Her hat is brand new from Canopy by Deborah Hutton. Similar to her other hats from the same designer. Kinda like the shape of the hat for her. The navy blue ribbon is a beautiful detail. Especially with her choice of blue Jimmy Choo pumps and clutch which is a much loved reuse from Quidam.

Mary wore earrings and a bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry such as a golden diamond bangle from Rebekka Notkin. Look closely and you'll see a diamond ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen as well.

Visit at the Faculty of Social Science & naming an electric tugboat

September 09, 2025

Queen Mary visited the Faculty of Social Science at University of Copenhagen as representative for Queen Mary's Center. The visit was focused on the faculty's impressive work to promote more welfare and innovation in the sectors of society. She also attended a lecture along with students of social science.

Her visit at the Faculty of Social Science at University of Copenhagen, she was given the honor of a naming ceremony. The naming of Denmark's very first electric tugboat 'Svitzer Ingrid'. The name is a gesture for Queen Ingrid.

Naming ceremony at the Ocean Dock in Copenhagen

I am truly a fan of prints, patterns and colors but never combined with black. I don't like the sharp contrast. Mary's outfit was indeed elegant but I wish she would have worn anything other than a black skirt and shoes.

Her beautiful flora printed blouse is from Zimmermann. It is the first time she wears it but my clever readers recognize it. Princess Josephine wore the blouse on her father's birthday in May of this year. White trousers are a way better match. What do you think? Mary styled the blouse with a brand new SKALL Studio skirt and black Prada belt.

Mary wore quite a few bracelets. Two of the golden ones are from talented Rebekka Notkin. They had company of two other Danish jewellery designer's: Dulong Fine Jewelry and Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Love the choice of golden jewellery to golden buttons.

I'm not quite sure if her Malone Souliers heels are new or not. On a previous occasion she wore a pair of shoes identified as Souliers. I believe that is correct but due to blurry photos I'm not sure if these were indeed the model. At the naming ceremony Mary changed shoes to a pair of Chanel flats.

Flag Day 2025

September 05, 2025

King Frederik and Queen Mary attended several events in Copenhagen on occasion of the annual Flag Day. By that they participated the honoring of soldiers who lost their lives in battle and their families.

First the couple attended a ceremony at Kastellet. They paid their respect with a moment of silence and a beautiful wreath placed at the Monument for Denmark's Internal Effort since 1948. After the official ceremony the royal couple attended a church service at Holmens Church. Followed by an official parade of the Danish Armed Forces at Christiansborg.

This event is much more than "the perfect outfit". I want us to stay a moment in silence and share a warm thought with those lost in battle, those soldiers who lost their lives and for those families left behind missing their loved ones.
