After a two days visit to Bukina Faso along with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kristian Jensen, the Crown Princess is now back in Denmark. The visit was packed with stories and impressions from local women. She was back in Denmark on Friday and only three hours later, she was on the road again. This time to attend the presentation of this years Crown Princess Mary Scholarship 2016 at University of Copenhagen. The scholarship has been handed over since 2004, the same year as it was established. It was a gift from University of Copenhagen to the royal couple on behalf of their wedding. The Crown Princess Mary Scholarship has since then been given to two Australian students. With the scholarship follows DKK 10,000.  These money are given as financial aid to the students while studying in Denmark. Usually it's easy to find both pictures and articles from the annual events, but this years is different. Despite the lack of photographers and journalists, she arrived to the University of Copenhagen in a great mood. Tempe McMiin and Winifred Knight were the two lucky students to both meet the Crown Princess and receive her scholarship. In a speech the Crown Princess talked about her recent visit to Burkina Faso and how local women need the same opportunity to get an education. At the same time she praised the two recipients for their hard work.

You really need a trained eye being able to identify what Mary wore during the presentation at the University of Copenhagen, because as I told you only a few pictures have been published in a pretty bad quality. But no challenge is too difficult. Even though the photos were in such a poor quality, I am able to tell you what she wore. Three hours before she arrived to hand over the scholarships, she walked around in sheer blouses, wearing sunglasses. This was replaced with long black trousers, a black Prada coat and her white Hugo Boss peplum. A very beautiful and minimalistic outfit. Black and white are a perfect match, no matter time and place. Mary then accessorized her look with a black Carlend Copenhagen clutch and what I strongly believe is her patent pumps from Gianvito Rossi. She topped of the look with earrings, ring and bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Classy pieces. With a stylish "Mary blow out" she rocked this outfit like on one else would.

From the second the two traveling companions arrived to Burkina Faso, all their attention were given to those around them - from organizations member to locals sharing their stories with the two foreigners from Denmark. On this second and last day in Burkina Faso, the Crown Princess began her day by visiting the Schiphra Center, who among other things offers treatment of severe complications do to given birth. Here she and Minister of Foreign Affairs, were given a guided tour around the maternity ward and operating room to see under which conditions hundreds of women are being helped to give birth. It was a really emotional Crown Princess, who sat down and talked with some of the women who have had birth complications and, which has been operated at the Schiphra Center. She later expressed to the press, how impressed she was of the dedicated doctors and strong women on the center. The Crown Princess and Kristian Jensen also payed a visit to the Delwende Center in Ouagadougou. About 250 women live at the Delwende Center. The women are being accused of being witches. The center gives protection, offer a home, serve meals etc. She and the Minister of Foreign Affairs also attended a guided tour to see for themselves some of the activities the women at the center make: spinning of cotton, grain sorting and growing vegetables. Many personal stories were shared, and even dancing took place to drum music. The Crown Princess joined the women for a dance.

Before they paid a visit at ABBEF in the capital city Ouagadougou, who works to promote access to sexual and reproductive health services, especially for poor and marginalized young people, the two travelers attended lunch with representatives for equality of women's rights in Brukina Faso. At the ABBEF Youth Information Center, the Crown Princess had an open and honest dialogue with the young people about gender equality, family planning and birth control. Both Danish guests asked about wishes, future, possibilities in life etc. Especially one young man was proud to tell about his future wishes to improve his skills in some of the areas, which is on the agenda at Women Deliver. According to Billed Bladet, here, this young man had especially one wish - to attend Women Deliver, and within seconds the Crown Princess invited him attending the conference. It was then suggested that a young lady from the center also should attend. This two days official visit to Burkina Faso ended with a evening reception at the Ambassador's residence.

Day 1. Official visit to Burkina Faso

Wednesday, April 27th

Crown Princess Mary is on a official visit to Burkina Faso from April 27-28th. She is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Kristian Jensen. The visit focuses on girls and women's sexual and reproductive health and rights.

This trip to the western part of Africa, more specific Burkina Faso, was actually scheduled to take place in January earlier this year, but because of a terrorist attack in the capital city Ouagadougou, it was decided to postpone the Crown Princess visit. Then suddenly I find out that she is on her way to Burkina Faso and is already landed, when I first hear about the visit. The Crown Princess arrived yesterday in Burkina Faso, to stay there for two days along with by Minister of Foreign Affairs,  Kristian Jensen. The two of them have on several occasions worked together and been on foreign visits like this which focuses girls' and women's sexual and reproductive health and rights, as well as gender inequality and Denmark's development do to aid efforts in the country.

Before the departure from Denmark, Kristian Jensen have expressed how pleased he is for the Crown Princess commitment to make a difference. As one of the poorest countries in the world, Burkina Faso is supported by Denmark providing access to among others information about connected to giving birthday and pregnancies such as handling issues like gender equality and violence against women. Denmark's support to Burkinabe families goes back to 1973, here.

While her husband was visiting Danish troops in Iraq, she met with women at a local health center in Korsimoro, who had come there for a consultation. With her was Kristian Jensen. The visit to Korsimoro was then followed by a visit to a nearby Kamsé village. The two foreign guests were warmly welcomed and received four chickens and a goat as gifts on behalf of their visit.

After a quick change of clothes, the two traveling companions attended a meeting with Burkina Fasos President, which took place at the presidential palace in Ouagadougou. The Crown Princess also met a young mother at 15, living in Ouagadougou with her two month old daughter. With help from her grandparents, she manages to go to school. It was simply wonderful to watch the meeting between the two of them - the Crown Princess, the young mother and her daughter. I think a meeting like this is why she find it so important fighting for better and equal opportunities for women and girls around the world. In the evening, the Crown Princess and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended an official dinner on behalf of their visit to Burkina Faso.

'Denmark Eats Together'

Monday, April 25th

Crown Princess Mary attended, along with the Mary Foundation, the arrangement Denmark Eats Together, here, organized by People's Movement Against Loneliness, here, that took place in Nørrebrohallen, Copenhagen.

As chairwoman and co-founders of the Mary Foundation the Crown Princess is truly involved in their work, which particularly is created to combat domestic violence, bullying and solitude. Both domestic violence, bullying and solitude can cause social isolation, which is still a taboo to talk about in Denmark. The Crown Princess has often before spoken for the open dialogue to combat social isolation. For the last few years, solitude has been on the agenda in Denmark, which gives the Crown Princess a chance to take action. The event in Nørrebrohallen is a great example of her commitment to make a change. Denmark Eats Together is organized by People's Movement Against Loneliness. It came as quite a surprise to the other participants to see the Crown Princess, when she suddenly appeared in the room. The participants were all gathered to show their support to the event. As usual she gave a remarkable speech before the dinner was served. She told how important it is to her and her family to enjoy dinner together; it is the place to share a days experiences, tell and listen. Despite it's not that easy to get anyone to listen to you, when you have four children. A dinner is where you get the chance to get together and meet friends and family. A diner is a social thing. If you master Danish I think you should take time and read her speech, here.

Mary was really casual dressed when she attended the event in Nørrebrohallen. I manage to find some quality photos that clearly show a relaxed dressed Crown Princess, having a great time. To me it looks like she was wearing some kind of golden knitted sweater and a greenish blazer. Both pieces look new to me. Any ideas where these pieces are from? I haven't found a thing yet. She wore the new pieces with a pair of skinny black jeans and brand new Julie Fagerholt Heartmade (collection: SS16) chelsea boots. They were indented by the one and only Kate. In a way I love this chic combo. Still something is bothering me but I can't really tell what it is. Do you like her outfit? Love that we get to see some more casual and edgy outfits. The first accessory I spotted was her black Bottega Veneta bag. It has been worn a million times before, and still it looks super stylish. Will it ever go out of style? Secondly, I noticed that she was wearing earrings. They have been hard to identify because the lack of pictures and her hair getting in the way. But now there is no doubt in my mind - Mary wore her Louise Grønlykke earrings. She perfectly matched the earrings with diamond rings and a golden leaf ring from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Seems to be a favourite of hers these days. I would pick the golden ring if I had to choose one thing from her outfit, which one would ou chose?

Day of Research 2016

Monday, April 25th

As patron, Crown Princess Mary attended the official grand opening of Day of Research 2016, hereHere she also presented the Research Communication Award 2016, here. It all took place at the Zoological Museum in Copenhagen.

Princessesblog76.blogspot.com

At yesterdays event, she attended both the official opening of the Day of Research 2016 and to hand over the Research Communication Award 2016The Day of Research is organized by the Ministry of Education and Research. The setting was a little different then what we are use to see the Crown Princess in, because it all took place at the Zoological Museum in Copenhagen. Here several professors and prominent figures from the Zoological Museum, were invited along with the Crown Princess, who by the way (of course) attended as guest of honor.

The Crown Princess arrived around 10:00 am local time, where she was welcomed with flowers and lots of smiles. Shortly after her arrival, she entered the stage and gave the opening speech followed by a speech professor and psychologist Barbara Hoff Esbjørn, who received this years Research Communication Award for her work and research anxiety disorders in children. Along with Minister of Education and Research, Ulla Tørnøs, the Crown Princess visited four different areas of the festival including topics as mushrooms and DNA.

All of it seemed to have her sincere interest while walking around the festival in the rooms of Zoological Museum. These four projects is a part of the citizens science, where citizens contribute with their knowledge and collect data that is then processed by different researchers. Among other things, the Crown Princess was impressed to hear about the more than 50 ant species.

The weather is really not something special in Denmark these days. We both have warm days, but also many days with rain, wind and even snow. It's cold and foggy. A weather like this takes both woolen coats and knitted scarves to keep warm. But not Mary. She showed up wearing white, a skirt and bare legs. Not in a million year would I do anything like that. She was dressed in lots of different shades of white, a shawl and some other interesting accessories. We have seen the both blouse and skirt before. The skirt is a classy model from DAY Birger et Mikkelsen, first seen when she attended the Loveing Measure event, here. This skirt is now also a part of my Mary-wardrobe and I simply love it. The blouse has troubled me quite a lot. After all, it was found at Prada. Surprise. Identified by Kate, I know that Ganni designed her new white poncho featuring colored details.

She also embraced the style by wearing white pearl earrings and a bracelet from Dulong Fine Jewelry. Mixed with diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen, she won my heart. When talking about accessories, I cannot help myself from getting really excited about her snake skin belt. Fabulous, right? Does any of you remember it? The belt goes quite a few years back in time. We first saw it around the time, when she and her husband featured an interview in 2005, which was published in an Australian newspaper, here. Then seven years later, she showed up wearing the belt once again, here. Somehow I always adored this Prada belt. Looks good on her, right? This time she matched her outfit with nude leather from Prada and a suede clutch from Hugo Boss.

On the cover of Eurowoman

This month, the Crown Princess is on the cover of Eurowoman, here, a Danish fashion magazine. She was interview to talk about her commitment to humanitarian work and the fact that Denmark will host the world's largest global conference on health, rights and wellbeing of girls and women Women Deliver, here, in May. I first learned about this special edition on Monday. Since then I have been looking forward to finally be able to purchase it myself. This special edition is published with two different covers - one for subscribers and one for everyone else. The interview is 20 pages long and includes many new wonderful pictures of the Crown Princess. She is photographed in her home at Amalienborg. She is surrounded by orchids, pictures of her children, stacks of books neatly placed on a round table and lots of home decors in her favourite colour purple. I have not had time to read the interview yet, but soon I will. Did any of you purchase the edition?

Taking a look at her different outfits I quickly realized that she was wearing numerous brand new pieces of both clothes and accessories. What I see is a very edgy and minimalistic style with a clean silhouette and few decorative details. Personally, I really like what she wore in the interview. This is what I love so much about the Crown Princess - she's both a hardworking woman and advocate for girls and women, and looking super stylish and comfortable in her skin.

It was a lovely day to celebrate a wonderful queen. Like many times before, hundreds of Danes were gathered in front of Amalienborg to get a glimpse of the queen along with her family. All to celebrate the queen on 76th birthday. Personally, I have never had to chance to be there myself, but I bet it is a strong feeling to part of. The atmosphere seems great. Hope that I some day will be able to be there myself, maybe even take my own pictures. This little 'balcony ceremony' is truly something I hope the Crown Prince couple to will keep as tradition. Think it would mean a lot to the Crown Prince's mother - and the rest of the Danes. Around noon, Queen Margrethe then stepped out on the balcony dressed in the most magnificent blue suit. Shortly after, she was surrounded by her closest family. On big, adorable family. Think we hare lucky to have them as representatives for Denmark. I was especially delighted to see the Crown Prince couple's four children. We rarely get to see them at public events. And little Princess Athena - she's grown up really fast and what a beautiful little young lady she had become. After the balcony scene, the family enjoyed a dinner in each others company behind the closed doors at Amalienborg.

I am in no doubt sure that all of you noticed Mary on the balcony. Basically because of that amazing new fuchsia coat. She was a glowing star in that coat. Love that we get to see her wearing something this colorful. Mary wears these bright colors so beautifully. Spring is just around the corner and a coat like this is a great a supplement to her, already amazing, wardrobe. The coat is the only new piece from todays celebration, so I really wanted to be able to identify it. With help from Kate it was found at GOAT Fashion. Can't wait to see it again. Both skirt and blouse are reused pieces from several other events. Actually, she was worn the specific combination before. The combo was worn during a visit in Canada, here, and then at a visit to Germany, here. Even matching the outfit with that snake belt is seen previously. Unfortunately, I have never been able to identify where the belt is from. Do you happen to know something about it? Maybe you even recall that the blouse is from Elise Gug (collection: 2013) and it features a white pearl as button. The black skirt is from another very talented Danish designer called Signe Bøgelund-Jensen. I did not manage to find pictures showing which pair of shoes she was wearing. My guess would be her good old Christian Louboutin snake skin pumps. These pumps was do great with the rest of the outfit and has been worn before with this outfit. Surprisingly, I was able to track down a picture with a glimpse of her actually wearing the Christian Louboutin pumps. Mary had accessorized her look with Dulong Fine Jewelry earrings and a ring from the same designer.

Now there is only one thing left to say and that is congratulations to the Queen on her birthday.

It is rather unusual for the couple to attend each others planned events, at least if it's not published ahead. But nothing had hit the press about Crown Prince Frederik accompanying his wife when she attended the Olympic qualification tournament Danish Open in Bellahøj. The Crown Princess was present as patron of the Danish Swimming Federation. The couple arrived in the afternoon both in great mood ready to greet the Danish team of swimmers before the tournament. The tournament help to find the most skilled swimmer to participate the Olympic Games in Rio De Janeiro. Despite it was a official visit, all acted like it was a private visit. Usually photographers and journalists are way more enthusiastic, but not this time. The royal couple followed closely everything that was going on in the swimming stadium, especially thrilled to followed Pernille Blume, when she won her way to the Olympic Games such as swimmer Jeanette Ottesen.

Mary was dressed really casual when she and her husband attended the tournament in Bellhøj on Friday afternoon. A while ago a friend and I talked about more casual event where she is wearing jeans. Something that has not really happened much during her 12 years as Crown Princess. Well, jeans is very casual and maybe sometimes even a little too casual for her attendances. Nevertheless, I still love her in jeans. This time Mary matched her jeans with a striped blouse, likely from Ralph Lauren (collection: Blue Label) as Kate shared with me. I searched for more pictures and came across Katecloset, here, and it seems like Catherine Duchess of Cambridge, has the exact same blouse. A very beautiful combination, especially with that navy blue Massimo Dutti reversible coat. As with the jeans, it surprised me to see her wear a pair of new suede boots. I haven't been able to identify them. Any ideas? She was probably wearing diamond studs from Hartmann's. One good-looking outfit.

After a successful state visit from Mexico's President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera, the Crown Princess is already back at work. Around noon she arrived to Vesterbro in Copenhagen attending the opening of the new social- and health school, SOPU. The Crown Princess was in a great mood greeting some of the people who showed up to get a glimpse of her. Some of them even got a few pictures with her, here. Meeting the students was absolutely wonderful to follow. From the second she arrived, she was chatting with both teachers and students. The Crown Princess entered the stage and gave a great speech talking about the importance of the students work. With that, she had inaugurated a new social- and health school, ready to get a tour around some of the new classrooms. Before her visit ended, she sat down like everybody else and participated in a dialogue. She listened with great interest and asked questions herself.

Somehow her outfit reminds me a lot of what she wore back in time. From around the time when she was pregnant with Prince Christian. Maybe it is because of the hairstyle combined with that coat? Do you also see it or am I the only one? The Prada coat is pretty old but like always Mary wears it with as such elegance and pride as if it was the first time. I remember one time from 2010 at the annual opening of the Danish parliament, here. At that time she was pregnant with the twins. A coat featuring a magnificent shape, lovely colours and hemlines. Mary paired this lovely coat with black trousers and brand new pumps -and they are yellow. I am completely blown away by her new Gianvito Rossi pumps. Never thought we would see Mary in this colour on shoes. Simply adore them. Can't wait to get a similar pair in my own wardrobe. Do you like them? Looking all great she matched everything with her navy blue Quidam clutch. What an outfit!

Wonderful to see the two of them together, all though Queen Margrethe is host of the visit. On their second and last day in Denmark, H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera had a lot to do .many places to see and lots of people to meet. From early morning the Crown Princess and Mrs Rivera visited the kindergarten Ådalen, who works with the Mary Foundation's 'Free of Bullying' program. They were both warmly welcomed at the arrival by children with red and white flag waving in the wind. Mrs Angélica Rivera and the Crown Princess were handed over a wonderful bouquet of flowers each. Mrs Rivera seemed to enjoy the time accompanying the Danish Crown Princess on a "regular" visit. With great proud the children showed some of their drawings and told stories. It gave a smile on both women's faces to talk to the kids in Ådalens kindergarten. During the visit Mrs Rivera was introduced to some of the tools from the Mary Foundation's Free of Bullying-program, which is developed to prevent bullying for children in the age of kindergarten and pre-school.

While the Crown Princess and Mexico's first lady enjoyed the morning together, the Crown Prince and President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto attended a business conference at Danish Industry in Copenhagen, followed by a meeting with Pia Kjærsgård, Chairwoman of the Danish Parliament and with Prime minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen for the President. All four of them arrived at Tjørnegård school in Gentofte to see  how LEGO is used in teaching; to make it easier, more fun and to strengthen the students' memory.

Each day we get closet and closer to summer, more sun and that time a year were we are able to wear dresses without tights. That's really not something Mary takes that serious, because at the most crazy time a year we see her with bare legs and a knee-length dress. Chilly, but she actually looks like she doesn't care. Yesterday we were lucky because she was wearing on of her beautiful reused Prada dresses. We have seen it several times, both with and without the removable peplum. This time she wore it with a belt instead. In 2014 she wore the exact same combination -dress, coat and clutch, when the Queen hosted a state visit from Turkey, here. Mary embraced the style by wearing her blue Quidam clutch and leather gloves. She had then chosen patent pumps in pink from Gianvito Rossi. And what a wonderful combo with the rest of the outfit. I was so sure she would wear these pumps at the gala dinner last night but I was mistaken. I missed it by one day. Oh... of course, the white coat is also from Prada as with the dress. Without looking overdressed (at all) she added large pearl bracelets and earrings from Dulong Fine Jewelry such as rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. I'm simply stunned by everything I see. Once again a huge compliment to  Mrs. Angélica Rivera in her matching white set.

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attending the return dinner at D'Angleterre

President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera hosted a return dinner that took place at Hotel D'Angleterre in Copenhagen. 150 guests were invited to the dinner to enjoy a well cooked meal, which is the way to say thanks for a couple of great days in Denmark from the Mexican Presidential couple. In order the royal family members arrived -first Princess Benedikte along with her lady-in-waiting, then Prince Joachim and Princess Marie, the Crown Prince couple next and last Queen Margrethe accompanied by her husband Prince Henrik. They were all welcomed by the President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera, who waited at the hotel ready to welcome all 150 guests and the Danish royal family.

Perfectly dressed as always Mary arrived with her husband to the return dinner at Hotel D'Angleterre. I would wear this outfit any time -for a night out with my friends or dinner with the family. These printed midi-skirts are incredibly popular and trendy right now. I have one in my wardrobe as well in a darker colour. We have seen her Ganni skirt before at INDEX: Awards 2015, here, even worn with the exact same blouse. A great match. I still have no idea where to find the blouse. Any ideas? She dazzled wearing a black lace shawl from Heartmade Julie Fagerholt. Not that its warm at all, but it looks so beautiful. The shawl was first seen six years ago on a visit to Budapest, here. Mary embraced a chic evening style by wearing black Gianvito Rossi pumps, two-tone earrings from Jewlscph and golden jewellery from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen. Rings and bracelet are all from Lynggaard's leaves collection. Then we have a rather long Bottega Veneta clutch seen now and then the past few years. Hair and makeup were beautifully suited for the rest of the outfit as always. Wish I could do my hair like this. Love how it looks all gorgeous. A really pretty look for an evening dinner.

Finally, the Mexican Presidential couple has now arrived to Denmark. Actually they arrived yesterday at Copenhagen airport around dinner time in one of the worlds most expensive plains.  President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera were warmly welcomed by Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik and the rest of the Danish royal family. Shortly after the welcoming ceremony, two crown cars drove to Fredensborg Palace -one with Queen Margrethe and President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and another car with Prince Henrik and Mrs Angélica Rivera, to officially welcome the couple. Like the welcoming ceremony at the airport, the ceremony at Fredensborg has become a tradition. While the Presidential couple are in Denmark they are staying at Fredensborg in one of the many rooms. In the meantime, the Crown Prince couple drove to Kronborg castle in Helsingør. About an hour President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera also arrived to Helsingør. All in a perfect mood the couple's were given a guided tour inside Kronborg to see, among others, the Banquet Hall also called the Dancing Hall. Then a little something to drink and then of to the M/S Museum of Maritime located close to the water just like the caste. Back in 2013 the Crown Prince couple visited Mexico, here, and have already met the Presidential couple once before. Both couples seemed to have had a really good day in each others company.

It was at 1:00 pm. local time the Mexican Presidential couple arrived to Copenhagen airport ready to spend two days in Denmark accompanied by the Danish royal family. In second raw was Mary standing. Lightning up like a true royal lady in her ombre Missoni coat. Thrilled to see her wear it again. I'm sure you remember it from their visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar only a few months ago, here. Finally without black trousers. According to Royals & Fashion, hereare Mary's sky high pointed pumps are from Gianvito Rossi. Each year I think her pumps get higher and higher. Unbelievable how she is able to walk in those heels. I really can't get enough of black pumps. Super classy and elegant. Mary seems to have the same philosophy because of all the different pairs of black pumps she owns. Then we have the little grey Naledi Copenhagen clutch, which I really think is a great match to what she was wearing. It is one of her first Naledi Copenhagen purchases. At the arrival Mary had this beautiful hairdo wearing a hat -my guess would differently be a creation from milliner Susanne Juul. To loosen it up, she appeared without hat and hairdo when she and Frederik welcomed the Mexican Presidential couple at Kronborg castle in Helsingør a few hours later. She accessorized her look with a pair of black leather gloves, diamond rings from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen and pink diamond studs from Hartmann's. Aesthetic, stylish and extremely polished. By the way, I believe she added a Céline belt to create the illusion of an hourglass shape. A sincere compliment to Mrs Angélica Rivera because of her bright green dress.

Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik hosted a gala dinner in the evening at Fredensborg. As you know Prince Henrik retired in the beginning of 2016. Despite that he attended both the welcoming ceremony and yesterday evenings gala dinner. The arrival and the Queen's speech were broadcasted two hours after the actually arrival, which I of course watched. One by one, did the special guests arrive; ladies in magnificent dresses and gentlemen's in black suits. All cameras were set and ready for the royal family to arrive. First came Princess Benedikte, then Prince Joachim and his sweet wife Princess Marie who was dressed in a smashing red lace gown. They were followed by the Crown Prince couple. The reason why we didn't see Queen Margrethe, Prince Henrik and the Presidential couple arrive, is because they are all staying at Fredensborg where the dinner is held. Before the dinner, all guests were serviced a glass of champagne. From another entrance, the royal family members and the guests of honor found their seats around the long main table. With a remarkable speech Queen Margrethe opened the evening and warmly welcomed President H.E. Enrique Peña Nieto and Mrs Angélica Rivera in Denmark.

It's not the first time Mary choose to wear something as colourfull and bright as at this gala dinner. She was truly queen of the night. I was so excited when I first saw what dress she was wearing -a good old evening gown by Jesper Høvring (collection: Spring/Summer 2013). Høvring commented in the live broadcast but didn't mention anything about his own design worn by Mary. By the way do you remember the dress? She wore it back in 2013 at a dinner on occasion of the coronation of King Wilhelm-Alexander and Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, here. I hadn't forgotten about the dress, but it amazes me how much I like it. Actually Mary wore it one more time before last night. It was in 2012 when she attended a gala dinner on occasion of the wedding between Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg and Countess Stephanie de Lannoy in Luxembourg. Three very beautiful outfits. This time she has chosen to wear the red evening gown with golden glitter pumps from Gianvito Rossi and a brand new golden clutch. Pernille an Kate told me about her pumpsShe also dazzled wearing her stunning new tiara purchased at Bruun Rasmussen auctions along with a pair of matching earrings. I was also overwhelmed by her hairstyle. Did you notice it?

I think we all wondered why we haven't really seen that much of the Crown Princess lately. But everything comes with a reason. Since March 29th to April 8th she has taken a course at Harvard in Boston (picture below) on Global Leadership and Public Policy for the 21st Century. The course is made in collaboration with Harvard Kennedy School and World Economic Forum for members of Young Global Leaders, here, as the Crown Princess appointed back in 2012 because of her work with among others the Mary FoundationYoung Global Leaders has since 2004 appointed some of the worlds most skilled young leaders to create a strong network to find solutions dealing with global humanitarian challenges.
