Opening of "Global Fashion Summit: Copenhagen Edition 2023"

27 June 2023

For quite a few years, Crown Princess Mary has acted as patron of the Global Fashion Agenda. Among others, they work for a climate neutral fashion and textile industry in 2050.

With title as patron of the Global Fashion Agenda, she attended the grand opening of the "Global Fashion Summit: Copenhagen Edition 2023" (here).

The Crown Princess was accompanied by more than a thousand representatives from the global fashion industry, politicians, NGO's and experts at the summit. All gathered to discuss sustainable solutions and create alliances within the industry.

Crown Princess Mary gave the opening speech. She highlighted the importance of more sustainable solutions and how to reach the goal of a climate neutral fashion and textile industry in 2050.

The summit took place at DR Concert Hall in Copenhagen.

Seems like, Mary was not the only one who though a simple white blazer would be perfect for the grand opening. Photos shows that many of the attending women had chosen a similar outfit as Mary's.

Mary matched a reused soft white vest and blazer from MaxMara. She first wore these two pieces with its matching trousers on an official visit in Sweden in 2017 (here). Since then, she has wore the suit on a number of different occasions, but also worn the blazer on its own. Like in 2019, when attending a celebration dinner related to Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2019 (here).

This year, Mary styled it with an old dotted Diane von Furstenberg skirt - first worn in 2019 at the presentation of the Carlsberg Foundations Research Awards (here).

Took me quite a few photos to realized that she was in fact wearing earrings. Fine floral-shaped earrings in brown enamel. She has worn them before (here). They have never been identified. Mary also dazzled wearing a few golden bracelets, but I need a close up to tell more.

As other accessories, Mary had chosen necklaces from Halberstadt and Julie Sandlau. The matching MaxMara handbag and brown suede Gianvito Rossi pumps were a wonderful choice. Even her Gucci tortoise-like glasses were spot on with the rest of her outfit!

Day 2. Officiel visit from Norway

16 June 2023

AARHUS

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary accompanied King Harald and Queen Sonja in Aarhus on Friday (here). The couple have traveled all the way from Oslo to attend an official visit in Denmark.

The Crown Prince Couple attended the opening of business conference and a dinner the previous day (here) and thereby accompanied Queen Margrethe, King Harald and Queen Sonja.

The royal couple arrived in Aarhus by Dannebrog - the royal yacht (here). In Aarhus, they joined the King and Queen of Norway for a business conference at DOKK1, a meeting with Norwegian students and Denmark and had official lunch at Aarhus City Hall.

Before leaving Aarhus, they attended "LiteratureXchange" - a literature festival.

What is not to like? Mary looked like the most incredible bouquet of flowers in that brand new Erdem dress. I am truly impressed. Her new dress is so beautiful. The details are exquisite. The pleatings, the neckline, the belt and soft sheer sleeves.

She embraced the style of her new dress with a reused hairband purchased from Miss Haidee Millinery. Mary first wore this stunning hairpiece at the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the ordination of women to the priesthood in April 2023 (here). She matched it with smashing Gianvito Rossi pumps made of python. Even the clutch matched. This is still unidentified.

The fine diamond earrings and one of her rings are also still unidentified, which is quite impressive because both earrings and ring have been in her wardrobe for many years. Still no clue. The other diamond bands are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

RECEPTION

The previous day, Queen Margrethe hosted a dinner at Amalienborg. The following day, King Harald and Queen Sonja hosted a reception on board the royal ship Norway (here).

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended the reception.

At the arrival, they were warmly welcomed by the Regal Couple. Wonderful to see the four of them together.

Mary was beautifully dressed in a reused floral dreamy blouse from Giambattista Valli matched with new white trousers. She first wore this blouse when celebrating Crown Prince Frederik's 50th birthday (here). I hope to identify her new trousers, because they are incredibly beautiful.

She styled the outfit with a lovely hairdo showing magnificent golden earrings from Rebekka Notkin. These earrings are also worn before. Like, when the couple presented "The Crown Prince Couple's Prizes 2019" (here). Her golden bangle is also a reused creation from Rebekka Notkin.

We get a glimpse of a beloved 'F'-necklace as well. It is from Halberstadt.

The yellow Yves Saint Laurent clutch goes back to 2009 (here). It was truly love a first sight. I really adore this clutch. Mainly because of the color.

She had chosen reused golden Malone Souliers pumps. I was never really a huge fan of these pumps, but Mary wears them with such elegance.

Day 1. Official visit from Norway

15 June 2023

BUSINESS CONFERENCE

King Harald and wife Queen Sonja of Norway are on official visit in Denmark these days. They were warmly welcomed by Queen Margrethe earlier in the morning.

In the afternoon, the Crown Prince Couple accompanied the pair at a business conference at Dansk Industri in Copenhagen (here).

I'm always a big fan of her reused outfits! It's very inspirational to see how little has to change before it looks like a completely new outfit. That is what happened at the business conference at Dansk Industri.

Mary embraced the style of an old outfit - a stunning blue Victoria Beckham blouse and a floral printed Paul & Joe skirt. She first wore this look at the inauguration of Herlev's new emergency room and women-child center in 2021 (here).

As jewellery, Mary had chosen magnificent aquamarine earrings purchased at Bruun Rasmussen Auction many years ago. Actually, she first wore them in 2004! The golden bangle is from Rebekka Notkin and her delicate diamond rings are from Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen.

A closer look revealed that Mary was also wearing a brand new P. Hertz bracelet. Amazing piece of work. Hope we are going to see this bracelet many more times from now on.

The fine quilted handbag is a Chanel design and a wonderful match with the beige python pumps from Gianvito Rossi.

DINNER, AMALIENBORG

It had already been a wonderful day for the King and Queen of Norway since they arrived in Copenhagen. They were welcomed by Queen Margrethe, when they arrived by ship from Oslo. Around noon, the Crown Prince Couple accompanied the three of them for a business conference.

In the evening, King Harald and Queen Sonja were invited to dinner with Queen Margrethe as hostess. Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary also attended the dinner taking place at Chrisitan VII's Palace at Amalienborg (here).

The arrival and following dinner were broadcasted live on Danish tv (here).

Mary was dressed like a cotton candy dream wearing her reused MaxMara evening gown. She first wore the gown in 2017, when attending the 80th birthday celebration of King Harald and Queen Sonja (here). I love the idea of her wearing the exact same dress now in Denmark honoring their visit.

When did she wear it best? In 2017 or now in 2023.

At the dinner, Mary embraced the dreamy evening outfit with a reused tiara and matching earrings. She has worn this combo on a number of different occasion since 2015. The tiara was then purchased at Bruun Rasmussen.

Her fine 'F'-necklace is her beloved Halberstadt creation. A beautiful dedication to her husband. At the dinner, Mary matched it with a "new" necklace. Till now, she has worn the 'F'-necklace with a Julie Sandlau necklace. This second one is still unidentified. The same goes with her bracelets and huge ring.

The golden leather pumps are old ones from Manolo Blahnik. I always had the idea that these pumps are suuuuuuper comfortable to wear. I have heard that Blahnik's should be really good heels for all-day wear.

Mary also embraced the evening style with a SERPUI box clutch.
